The Desarthan space progam had launched several spacecraft and astronauts into space in the past, and had gone to the moon, however this was the first voyage for colonization. The scientists in the government run space program had studied the planets and moons in the solar system and decided on the frozen moon of Jupiter, Europa. After several years of space travel the colony ship had finally reached the moon. Now in orbit it prepared to send down the colonists.

A Gaian Avalon Class Cruiser was patrolling the Sol system, and came up upon the Desarthan colony ship as it reached Europa.

"They chose a rough world for a colony." Captain Yalda Ward commented. She then ordered comm. "Relay our greetings, and if they require any assistance.

This is the Ascendancy Warship Cruiser Amanda Davion off their starboard at 175,000 kilometers. Send.."

...said transmission ws sent in the clear. The vessel then took a wide course to Europa to give the colony ship time to respond.

It was an unfamiliar ship, and this made Kerkk uneasy. " Hailing frequencies, ensign."
"Aye, Captain."
" Attention unidentified ship in orbit around Europa. Please identify yourself."
" Captain Kerkk! Gaian ship is also hailing unknown vessel!"
Gaians, eh? " Open a channel to the Gaian ship. Ahoy, Gaian ship, how goes it?"
" Captain, the unknown vessal has been identified as a Desarthan colony ship, destination.............Europa itself."
What the hell........." Ensign, advise Desarthan crew that settlement of Europa is not feasible at this time due to inhospitableness of surface. We will be standing by."
As Captain Kerkk's vessal, the Kalet'a Class Heavy Attack Cruiser "Khemi", held orbit, Kerkk sent a message to Ricala, Director of the Xeraphian Space League.
" M'lord Ricala, be advised that a Desarthan colony ship is apparently going to make an attempt to settle a portion of Europa. I would advise deploying a DawnStar sci/med to Europa for possible emergency evacs. I suggest an escort of a squadron of Issa're MultiVector attack cruisers accompany DawnStar. Kerkk out."

The colony ship sent out a transmission to the approaching ships, "We are colonists and scientists from the United Socialist States of Desartha. We realize the danger but we feel prepared and are going to try gather some water. We are prepared to leave if the situation gets too rough. We have prepared this mission for too long, just to abandon it."

Greetings space colonist you are going to have 20 secounds to pack up and leave martian space.We have a fleet of several armed to the teeth cruisers.If you do not respoind accordingly our gods thunder hammer of the deep shall strike you down.Bascicaly we will vaporize you.Again you have 20 secounds to respond.

"We will not pack up and leave, in 20 seconds we would have to clear it with the folks back home, besides the USSD does not respond to threats. And if you did attack us you would be in deep shit with the UN." angrily responded the captain of the Colony Ship, "An unprovoked attack against an unarmed science vessel would be sure to get me some allies."

In the deep space monitoring station Babylon 1 a set of transmissions from the area of Sol Sytem were picked up and the tech recognized one of Dratheria's allies. Gaian. He sent a comm to Admiral Archon and told him of the possibility of the unprovoked attack on a science vessel. And Admiral Archon ordered an immediate response. He sent three Macross-class Assault Carriers, five Macross Cannons, and ten Hades-class Quick Strike Cruisers to the point of conflict. They arrived moments later with weapons and shields fully powered. They sent one transmission to the to the Martian vessel.

The voice of the commander of the Colonists echoed throughout both Colony Ships.
"All contracted military personel report to your stations," The message was repeated, then after a little while the captain turned to his advisors, "How many do we have to repel boarding parties?"
"250 strong on each on each ship, sir. Armed with AK's."
"Excellent, so 500 total?"
"Yessir."
"Very well, that should hold them off until help arrives. Prepare escape shuttles, just in case."

The cruiser reaches the desarthan ship and sends one final warning.Surrender or be killed.The martian commander then launches the 3 boarding tubes onto the first ship."I want 200 men per tube"says the martian commander.I want them to rush the hangar bay so our dropships can come in.The martians enter the boarding tubes and move to the enemy ship but are suprised to see counter boarders with ak-47's."this is going to be a long fight"The martian captain says.

Transmission to desartha ship,My ally we have come to warn you.We have intercepted a south martian tranmiision.They know about you!We have come to escort you....Wait radar picks up your under attack.Were coming.Hold them off for 10 minutes.Were coming with 6 cruisers to help hold off...................phuuuuuuuuuchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........Were under attack as well seneding.......much as.......can........hold off.........10 minutes

"Arm all batteries and power the main weapons. Arm reflex cannons and fire in 3. 2. 1." A reflex cannon by itself was capable of destroying four heavily armored Dratherian Consternation-class Star Destroyers and their attack was converged on the South Martian ships. The shot was precision accuracy such so that the science ship would only shake a slight bit when the energy waves passed by it.

As soon as the Martian boarding tubes opened up, muzzle flashes and rounds of lead met, them. Standing in the ship were guards armed with AK-47's fixed with bayonets and a few with .50 caliber machine guns. The science guards, had gained an advantage, being on the defensive. A few guards begain to throw grenades into the boarding tubes.
"Careful," yelled a lieutenant, "Do you want to get sucked into space!"

Melknor Sits back reading the information sent to him from the deep space relay station. "Well well this should be interesting". His Aid looks at him shocked "But sir it's an unarmed colony vessel shouldn't we do something to help?"

Melknor only laughs. If we could maby but even if we had a ship to spare
it would jump and be on the outer edge of the sytem in moments then what? It would still take our fastest ship weeks to reach them it would be long over by then. All we can do is watch it all unfold and hope this dosn't get out of hand.

His Aid shakes his head sadly. "It just dosn't feel right sir." Melknor Looks at his aid and wounders if his aid shouldn't look for another posistion "You still haven't learned to stop feeling things like this happen all to often for my tast. But at lest your feelings are in the right place." Melknor looks back at the screen watching the Situation develop hundreds of thousands of light years away suddenly struck with a sence of just how vast space is.

3 heavily damaged north martian warships appear on the horizon.They are under attack and being chased by several south martian warships. They send a transsmission to all non south martian ships."I am pleased to see you all alive but no time to talk.We must fly our ships into a wormhole that is about to appear in these coordinates.4-A,2-B,5-C.Now hurry i will explain when we get there.There is a fleet of 50 north martian ships on the way,oh and here desartha".Several gunturrets fire at the south martian ship attached to the desarthan sceince vessel,detaching the boarding tubes."hurry everyone time is of the essence."

Suddenly a message is intercepted by the Desarthan colony ships.

"...attention, colonists of The United Socialist States of Desartha. This is The CEO of Space of The Corporation of Dollares speaking, and it has come to our attention that you are being physically assaulted by an alien spacecraft. We would be willing to assist in the defense of your ships if you would so much as to sign this contract encoded in the signal allowing for us to build two factories and a military base on Desarthan soil. The choice is yours, but we have two star destroyers ready and waiting for your response. Thank you"

The message crackled into static and left a clear tone ringing through the colony ship's control bridge.

The commander of the colonist ships responded quickly to the Dollares Star Destroyers, "Let me put you through to the supreme leader of Desartha."
An image of the "elected president" came through on the screen.
"We reluctantly agree to your terms, we just need that firepower." The transmission is then spread out to the other ships in the sector, "The USSD has officially declared war on South Mars and its subsidiaries."

"...Excellent." Said the Space CEO from his office spire back on Earth. he turned the monitor to a different channel, and was presented with the armor-clad admiral on screen.

"Admiral, defend that space colony ship. Destroy anything that tries to attack it."

"As you wish, sir."

Two Star Destroyers exit hyperspeed right behind of the fleet of South Martian ships. The South martians are completely off guard, all thier deflector shields set to front expecting the North martians and Desarthans to be laying down the fire. Hundreds of turbo-lasers fly from the star Destroyers, scarring the rear of the fleet. The South martians are caught off guard, as the rear tries to flee and bunch up with the front of the swarm.

The occupants of the colony ships cheered as they saw the Dollares Star Destroyers engage the martian fleet. The morale among the soldiers guarding the ships, and the commanders prepared a charge to push back the invaders.

Ensign Jenkins reacted immediately to the battle alarm. "Captain, there's a shitload of small vessels attacking the Desarthan colony ship! It looks like theyr'e holding their own, but not for long!"
" Sound battle stations, ensign. Contact Ricala and have him triple the escort of MVAC's and send an additional 3 heavy attack cruisers. The Dawnstar must be protected, and we must come to the aid of the colonists. Advise the DawnStar that there will be casualties."
"Aye, sir."
" Number One, prepare to attack the ships that are attacking the colony ship. Photon torpedos followed by 2-second laser bursts."
"Aye captain."
Lt. Cmdr. Bose issued rapid-fire orders. " About full, coordinates 0.091, turn and fire!"
As the battle began, the small ships were obviously no match for the "Khemi".
" Theyr'e dropping like flies, sir."
That they are, Kerkk thought. "Bose, sound the cease-fire until we can ascertain from the Desarthans just how damaged they are. If they or we are fired upon, destroy the intruders."
"Aye, sir........"

a rip in space appears and 20 north martian cruisers appear."Ah yes our reinforments"the captain states."Form a protective barrier around the d4esartha ships.I want full broadsides firing at the south martian ships."The ships manuver into positon blocking all shots aimed at the desarthan ships."Prepare to fire"the captain says."Fire!!!!"200 plasma shells fire out of the north martian ships.They slam into the south martian ships sending thier fleet into disarey."that was easy"the captain says."almost too easy."At these words 50 south martian ships appear on the left side."Turn aft and fire"The captain says."I knew it was too easy."At these words a south martian shell rips through the north martian formation killing the captain and wiping out 11 of the north martian ships.

Several soldiers were sucked out into space when the boarding tubes break off from the colony ship. Although grateful for the help of the North Martian fleet, the commander angrilly yelled into the intercom,
"Close those airlocks!" The rest of the ship cheered as the invaders' vessel floated helplessly of into space, victem of the North Martian surprise attack.

OOC:Woops I must have missed your post about you shooting off the invading ship. Sorry North Mars.

With the north martian fleet in shambles the south martian ships move in for the kill.They start focusing on the other adversaries and they launch a massive assault on the xerphain and dollarien fleets.

In the midst of the fighting a small Star Destroyer come out of lightspeed, followed by two small transport ships. A hailing signal is sent to all the ships.
"Greetings, we are the representatives from the Rouge Nation of Katsufracistan, we detected severa differant ships entering this area, what is happening... aside from the small war? We have a Star Destroyer and 4 squads of troopers to help resolve this conflict as fast as we can... please respond with an explanation as soon as possible, Aikai Aridan, supreme commander of the Naval Fleet of Katsufracistan, out."
The Star destoyer then arms its guns, and the transport ships sit behind it, all of them awaiting a response.

The CEO of Conquest sat in the viewing deck of the second Dollares Star Destroyer, adjusting his tie in the reflection of the high-pressure plexiglass. He grinned as he looked out and saw South Mars ships attempting to retreat. The CEO pressed down on his intercom button and began to speak softly to his secretary.
"Ms. Jones, jam thier communications and disable thier hyperspeed. I want several of these returned to the Executive Tower."
A sweet voice came through the other end, "As you wish, sir."

Ms. Jones, The Conquest CEO's personal secretary, was second-in-command on the Destroyer. She forcefully brought an armor-clad fist down on the command panel in frustration. The panel sparked and whirred as she lambasted control pit #3 for not already jamming the enemy ship's communications. She fired her laser into the control pit, killing one of the workers. Suddenly she began barking commands at the other soldiers in the control pits who were more then happy to comply.

Outside the Ship, an EMP went off towards the South Martians that were going AWOL and trying to escape. The ships were frozen in space as they slowly drifted back towards the Star Destroyer. The CEO scoffed, and told Ms. Jones to activate the Tractor beam and bring them into the ship's bay.

The Space CEO sent another message to the Desarthan ship:
"We have defeated one-fiftieth of the enemy craft now. Where would you most like our assistance?"

((OC- Man, I had completely forgotten about this little snafu, what with my oversized wars and events occuring. ))

The Avalon Class Cruiser had fallen back while calling on 'their' reinforcements. As a result, and thirty minutes later, the Ascendancy sent 75 Droid-Kushan Warships, and ten major WarShips, including an ISD and a SDF class High Mobile Warship.

The Ascendancy then moved back into the battlezone and informed the North Mars Fleet.

:: ~ This is 'now' the 3301st Ascendancy Expedition Fleet. And to underestimate us is beyond folly. You 'will' stand down from your aggregreous acts and back away from your actions.

Lest you feel the hatred of war like many other nations we have faced in the past and present have felt.

There are no further warnings. Comply. ~ ::

At this, the Expedition Fleet then started scrambling large numbers of Omnifighters, Omni-LAMs, Omni-Arc-210s, and Mobile Suits, as the Fleet aimed for the northern enemy line in a classic conical sphere formation.

All weapons and special assets were now hot.

A rip in space forms and 30 north martian ships appear(not colony of north mars but nation of north mars)they send sevearal heavily coded transmission to the the colony of north mares shipes.They send one transmission to everyone else"Sadly our duty falls elsewhere,there will be know other south martian reinforcments that I can guarente.I will bid you all good bye as my allies in this battle and maybe as my allys in future battles."At that the north martian colony ships and north martian nation ships enter a wormhole that is headed for mars.The portal closes but not before a north martian ship launches a nova bomb at the remainder of the south martian fleet.The nova bomb creates a rip in space sucking in 20 of trhe remainig 23 south martian ships.The other 3 are heavily damaged and dead in space.

The Ascendancy commander then gives orders to have support craft gather the remaining debri, the dead ships and all bodies from space for immediate genetic refabrication and recovery to living status.

The final order is that all regathered assets will be turned over to the Desartha side of the equation, giving them three instant starships and as many of their personnel as they can get back.

Meanwhile, the Ascendancy forces declare the area an Ascendancy Humanitarian Assistance Zone. All friendly forces are expected to help in some small way, and the Ascendancy takes command of active defense of the local area for 500,000 kilometers.

Two Eclipse SSD's jump into the system after detecting massive energy bursts. The commander of the lead ship, Crowning Glory hails the nearest ships:

"This is commander Garek Fenn of the WNI Super Star Destroyer Crowning Glory.My fleet has detected energy bursts on a scale indicating combat. Do you need any assistance?"

The Commander watched happily as the South Martian ships are obliterated by the North Martian nova bomb.
"Prepare a transmission to the friendly ships." he said to the communications officer,
"Our great leader has sent me a message and I shall interpret it for you. Thank you all representatives of nations that have assisted these two USSD colony ships. You shall receive a formal thank you from our leader, I am sure. You are all now allies to our great state and we shall use what rescources we have available in your hour of need. Our great leader, Eamon Fitzpatrick has decided that embassies for each of your nations shall be built on Desarthan soil, along with Dollares's request."

OOC: Wait a sec... unless you have a parallel universe thing happening, all of Sol pretty much has been claimed. When I was just starting I asked about available land on I think Europa, Ganymede, Triton, and other major moons in Sol and was told that there was almost no land available and would be better off starting my own system, which I did.

If I'm mistaken, please forgive me.

A message appears on the Desarthan ships screens.

"Greetings, I am the Supreme Commander of the Katsufracistanian Naval Fleet. We were here to help resolve the fighting but it looks like that won't be needed. We wish to offer you use of some of our military forces in exchange for letting a few of our scientists study Europa alongside yours."

A few men scatter about behind Aikai. "Men, send a message to the Prime Minister, we are here with a few alien ships, trying to become allies and further our exploration...We also have one new ally, Desartha. Make sure he puts them on the good list and not the bad. Now... Admiral Kane! Take the two transport ships back to the space station, I will stay here to resume contact with the other ships."

((OOC: Which is the truth. There is no nation called "North Mars" on the "original" Mars, as I'd call it, which is the region called The Planet Mars. That's because the region Mars got, um, taken over, and as such, counts as... Well, nothing, really. In my book, they're playing in some parallel universe. Which isn't so strange, II people rarely care about the goings on in NS, and the other way 'round, methinks.))

A wormhole appears and 1 north martian mining ship and another cruiser appear out of it.A transmission is sent to the desarthan ships."Greetings",The captain says,"I have a proposal to make.Europa woul take ages to mine and it would be extremly hazardous to land.We will lend you some of our energy drills and we will launch landing pods to make a more stable landing site for your ships.In return we would like to share the colony with you.3 colony ships are standing by to come here but I thought it would be extremly rude to just bring them here as invited.On a sadder note north mars launched a suicidal attack on south mars making our ships follow.4/5 of our troops were atomized which is 1/12 of our population.We wish to form warm realeations with you because we are attemting independence from our country.We will no longer bow down to our corrupt goverment.Enough jabber.Consider our propistion and please do reply."end transmission.
