Transmission from Calpian Empire to all civilisations

We, the Calpian Empire invite all nations interested in opening diplomatic relations with us to send a representative aboard a diplomatic transport to occupy one of the embassies constructed aboard the Gamora Orbital City, built for diplomatic purposes. Your vessel should not be larger then 50 meters in length and lightly armed, as it would service the diplomat you send. You will have a hangar bay at your disposal at all times, capable of holding that vessel, and an embassy area with all the needed space. Your representative would be an ambassador to our nation, and we will send one in return if we are allowed. We are interested also in negociating non-agression pacts, trade, medical, scientific treaties or alliances.

Typical embassy area:
- offices to be used by your personnel (customized accordingly to your athmosphere)
- apartments for the use of your personnel (customized for your living habits)
- conference rooms (one large and a smaller one)
- advanced communications center in each embassy to be used by your embassy
- one shuttle bay that can house a 50 meter vessel, or several smaller shuttles
- one cargo bay where you can keep your specific objects and foods needed by your species
- one medical bay for your doctor if you bring one (or to treat your citizens that visit Calpe)
- one large holodeck and two personnel holodecks for recreational purposes
- one gymnasium (fitness-weight lifting room) for those that want to exercise
- a bar that can be used by your personnel if they dont want to mix with the other species in the other bars on the Recreation Deck (the bar is fitted with a replicator that can serve any drinks or foods in our database, and can be also programmed to serve any food or drink specific to your species)
- one Encyclopedia room, with 10 VR (virtual-reality) access points (permits you to access the Calpian Encyclopedia with all the information it contains on the Empire or just play games in VR; the information is also available in each computer terminal, but the VR offers another way to entertain yourself if the other holodecks are occupied)

Each embassy receives one deck to be used for its embassy and the additional rooms, with a total area of living of 30,000 square meters, that includes all the improvements mentioned above. Out of the total 200 decks, 60 are set aside for the embassies, with the posibility of transforming other decks for use if those 60 should be filled. The decks for diplomatic use are 101 to 160. Each deck has offices and apartments to accomodate up to 300 workers. Besides the normal diplomatic offices you can open here a cultural center, scientific center, medical exchange center, turism office that promotes your best planets for turistic purposes, a museum to show your history to the visiting calpians, a concert room or any other use that would promote your country as long as its not military based. Any military or spying activities discovered to happen under the protection of the embassy will lead to the expulsion of all members of your species out of calpian space and interruption of all relations.

The Recreation Deck
The Recreation Deck is for use of all species capable of breathing our atmosphere. Please note that recreation facilities on this deck need to be payed to be used. It is the largest deck of the station and some of the meens to entertain yourself are:
- holodecks and holosuites
- 20 bars and restaurants
- one casino where you can loose the shirt of your back if you wish
- concert rooms
- movie theaters
- opera
- theater
- green areas (parks)
- fitness rooms
- VR rooms
- shops


Upon arrival on our borders you will contact one of the military outposts on the border and you will be scanned and then escorted by a fighter patrol to the Gamora Station to discuss with our diplomats, and let us know if you wish some kind of treaty or just an embassy exchange. Please bring only a small ship, maximum 50 meters in length and lightly armed. Additional cargo ships, carrying your personnel and equipments can arrive at a later date, after our diplomats discuss the specifics. A minimum number of security personnel are allowed to be brought, as our security patrols the entire station and ensures your safety.

Imagine, then, such an ancient and regal clan managing to get itself lost in the depths of space, with nowhere to claim as home save for the limited space between the walls of our vessel.

In our search for a dark place to call our own, I think it would be mutually beneficial to establish relations with each other. In return for your hospitality we will offer you archives of our six-century journey across large expanses of unexplored space, and all the wonders and terrors that reside within them.

We require only one thing for our ambassador; either an embassy section deep within your station with no windows, or any other section with covered windows. And no-one must ever enter their storage area.

I hope that we can come to some sort of arrangement.

Scanning is fine, so long as the cargo is neither touched nor opened. Our diet is... unique, and must remain fresh. It is becoming harder to synthesise as the centuries go by, so we cannot afford to have any spoiled by careless hands. And, for the moment anyway, details pertaining to our diet will be kept confidential. Your scans will find our cargo completely harmless; there is no need to delve further than that.

Otherwise, these conditions are acceptable, and we shall send a certain Baron Thorpe most promptly to fill the role.

~The corvette made its docking approach, setting a course for bay 34. There were some slight energy readings before the fighter escort faded from view as they broke off. The shuttle moved into the open hanger attaching itself to the umbilical that linked the ship to the station.
The airlock door between the station and the umbilical slid open, four persons stepped across the threshold, the first glimpse of a race that had been terrorizing Calpe resources among other expanding nations. They wore earthen toned hooded robes that masked their body, until they removed their hoods and their faces came to the soft light of the hallway. They were humanoid; in fact they could've been human besides the fine scales that dotted their body in places. They had golden eyes and dark hair, although, the one that seemed to be the leader of the group, designated by the respect the other three seemed to be giving it, had hair as white as snow, and eyes that constantly changed color. He was also the only one that didn't carry a metallic staff, with a bulbous head on one end and a spear tip on the bottom. One of the three came forward to speak, his body stopping before he got came shoulder to shoulder with their leader. As he spoke, his voice sparked and crackled like fire.~

"Our maekrix wishes to see his quarters first."

Your wish is more then acceptable and you can choose one of the decks between 106 and 159, to be used by your embassy. However, if we dont ask too much, we would like to know the reason for this. We are simply curious about how other species think and function, and this superstition would be one other thing to be added to the puzzle. We understand if you do not wish to reveal this.

"Though we can defend ourselves if needed, we have no pleasure in beeing atacked. A peace treaty has been found acceptable and if there are any specifics you want to discuss then please say so. If not, a peace treaty, stipulating that from now on we are at peace, can be drafted and signed today. Ofcourse, we reserve the right to come to the defence of our allies if they are under atack, as stipulated in other treaties. I`m sure you would want to be able to do the same thing. Is this acceptable for the Draconic Order?"

Thank you, but the age of the samples we have to work with requires specialised equipment. It would be more practical for all concerned to simply produce it here and ship it regularly.

Some distance away, the ominous black hull of the Toreador vessel, the only Toreador vessel, slowly gave way to the first sign of life it had exhibited in a long time. A small hangar bay opened on its massive, gothic hull, and a trio of Prowlers blasted clear. Each was as dark and lifeless as the goliath which spawned them, yet strangely elegant with their swept-back wings and subtle lines.

Space seemed to envelop around them as their dark matter drives activated, and they disappeared into the very fabric of space.



Some time later, space regurgitated them once more, spewing the craft in the direction of the large, white space station. Shapeless, yet unmistakable. The lead Prowler came to a halt, and reached across the void with a simple transmission.

"Toreador craft requests mooring with your outpost."

"Toreador craft requests mooring with your outpost."


"This is Gamora Station Control. You are cleared for Landing Bay 36. Coordinates are beeing sent to you now, and you will be met by Diplomat Nareo there. He will show you to your embassy area."

Klorelo smiled and replied:

"Though we can defend ourselves if needed, we have no pleasure in beeing atacked. A peace treaty has been found acceptable and if there are any specifics you want to discuss then please say so. If not, a peace treaty, stipulating that from now on we are at peace, can be drafted and signed today. "Why would we expand if we have everything we need? Our citizens can spend their entire life having fun, with no need to work. We do not need more resources then we already have. All we seek is knowledge and technology that will help us defend our way of life better, or improve the quality of our life. War just....isnt any fun for the citizens that we serve and protect. We may proceed to the signing of the peace treaty if there isnt anything else you want to discuss with us. Also, if you wish for an embassy exchange please let us know."

The lead Prowler accelerated forwards towards the designated landing bay. The two escorts swooped across the hull of the station, transporting their cargo and a handful of auxiliary personnel in preparation for the Baron's arrival, before sweeping off under computer control and disappearing into similar distortions as those they emerged from.

The remaining Prowler slowed as it approached the doors to bay 36. As it entered atmosphere its dark engines began to purr with a deafening, vibrating hum 'till the small ship came to a halt and shut them down. The black ship remained lifeless until the hangar doors were shut again, at which point a single light came on, and the black cockpit whirred open.

Out stepped a man dressed in elegant clothing, surprisingly colourful compared to the deathly ship he stepped out of. A bright blue, loose-fitting silk suit, with a red velvet shirt with tall collars just visible above the top of the thin jacket. It appeared even more colourful than it actually was when compared against his pale skin and loosely side-parted light brown hair. He didn't appear very old for someone with the title of 'baron'.

His tailored black leather shoes clipped against the metal floor of the hangar as he took strides away from his vessel. He held out what looked like a remote lock for a car and pressed a button, shutting and sealing the cockpit of his vessel as he turned and looked around for some sort of station authority.

"Why would we expand if we have everything we need? Our citizens can spend their entire life having fun, with no need to work. We do not need more resources then we already have. All we seek is knowledge and technology that will help us defend our way of life better, or improve the quality of our life. War just....isnt any fun for the citizens that we serve and protect. We may proceed to the signing of the peace treaty if there isnt anything else you want to discuss with us. Also, if you wish for an embassy exchange please let us know."

The lead Prowler accelerated forwards towards the designated landing bay. The two escorts swooped across the hull of the station, transporting their cargo and a handful of auxiliary personnel in preparation for the Baron's arrival, before sweeping off under computer control and disappearing into similar distortions as those they emerged from.

The remaining Prowler slowed as it approached the doors to bay 36. As it entered atmosphere its dark engines began to purr with a deafening, vibrating hum 'till the small ship came to a halt and shut them down. The black ship remained lifeless until the hangar doors were shut again, at which point a single light came on, and the black cockpit whirred open.

Out stepped a man dressed in elegant clothing, surprisingly colourful compared to the deathly ship he stepped out of. A bright blue, loose-fitting silk suit, with a red velvet shirt with tall collars just visible above the top of the thin jacket. It appeared even more colourful than it actually was when compared against his pale skin and loosely side-parted light brown hair. He didn't appear very old for someone with the title of 'baron'.

His tailored black leather shoes clipped against the metal floor of the hangar as he took strides away from his vessel. He held out what looked like a remote lock for a car and pressed a button, shutting and sealing the cockpit of his vessel as he turned and looked around for some sort of station authority.

Alteration of the embassy layouts are permitted as long as it does not compromise the security of the station for the purpose of assuring your citizens the level of comfort or environmental conditions that they need. Still, these alterations should be minimal and supervised by our engineers, as most walls have plasma conducts, computers or other forms of technology that are part of the station.

Roughly ten Sol minutes after the signal from Calpe was received a rather huge distortion in space would be felt outside of the solar system as the enormous craft appears. It is the Colossus Class battleship "The Darius II", recently retrofitted during this temporary time of peace as a semi-transport vessel to carry diplomats around. As it stood silently, it quietly broadcast a message to the Gamora Station, the voice seemingly cold and mechanical.

Greetings, please do not be alarmed by the sudden arrival of the battleship, since it has recently been dispatched to carry our ambassadors from place to place in the hope of forming alliances during this short stint of Peace in our history. We will now be sending off Ezrah Winters and the workers ot your station. With that said, a group of fire small objects were jettisoned from a small hatch which opened from the front, a slight blue trail behind them for a second before they sped forward. In roughly a half hour they would be within sight of the station and slow down before making their entrance to dock 116 at last.

The massive ship quickly relayed the necessary information before finally seeming to disappear from the edge of the solar system, leaving the ambassador's ships behind to set up the embassy on their own. As they finally docked and came out, the group slowly made their way out and looked around, one of them singling himself out by walking forward and tipping his hat to the guards.

"Greetings, I am Ezrah Winters, the ambassador of the Triumvirate." He said with a slight smile as he stared at the Calpians with his almost blank, gold eyes, "I hope this can be the start of a prosperous union between our peoples."

With that two other people of diffrent species seperated themselves from the huge group of roughly fifty workers removing various items from the ships. Most of these seemed rather normal, such as old world desks and chairs, but a few included archaic man-sized cages, strain medical equipment, and a rather large assortment of various large round colorful orbs the size of a globe.

"Ah... This embassy will do nicely..."

Nereen, a member of the Religious Caste aproached them and spoke

`Valen with you ambassador. I am Mira Nereen. We hope you are satisfied with the deck you have been allocated. If there is anything else we can help with, let us know.`

"No no, that will be all thankyou..." The ambassador quickly stated as he watched the various instruments slowly removed from the ships. After the last of it finished, he turned his head and broke into another bow, "Might I ask what the limits are among things we can bring aboard?"

As he spoke, the crew quickly walked off down either side of the bridge to scout out where they would put everything, half of them seeming to move in perfect unisen. This was mainly because they were not even alive, but merely machines used by Nili for menial tasks. Despite this, very few had any emotions, especially those used at embassies, which were almost always completely mindless, with the exception of emotional chips implemented to make them friendly.

I am here to both barder for an alliance between our two nations and to formally apologize for the way our mining vessel, the Kor-Nun acted when you two made first contact.
