Living ghosts, weapons of death

Dusk entered a room deep within the SOGP primary production facility. This was the place she had been told to come, and it seemed as though they had not led her astray. In the room were two dozen other people, all wearing identical black pants and dark grey sleeveless shirts. All present were men and women of different sections of the Sigman military forces. Dusk could tell from the tattoos that each wore on their right shoulder. She saw three sporting the dagger and snake of the SOMI, one wearing the black gauntlet of the SOHAI, and twenty who had the odd mark of the SOET on their shoulder.

Each soldier was in a group with the others of their faction, the SOHAI standing alone. It didn't seem to bother the SOHAI a bit.

The door behind Dusk opened, causing all eyes to turn towards it. A man stepped in, one that they all knew instantly. General Marcus Abel, commanding officer of the International Affairs Intervention Department. He was the one that kept tabs on allies, enemies and anyone else worth keeping an eye on. "Hello ladies and gentlemen. I am General Abel. I'm sure that you are all curious as to why you were asked to come here, and that's what I'm here for: to tell you."

"You were all briefed on a new unit, the Mortis Phasma. In english, it translates to Death Ghost. And that's what you shall all become. Your identities shall be erased from any record holding any mention of you. You shall kill for your country, leaving no trace could connect you back to us. If you happen to become captured, your existance shall be denied, and that little collar that each of you wear shall detonate, taking your head off. Now, do any of you have a problem with this little job?"

No one moved. The general smiled. "Very well then," he nodded to no one in particular, obviously a signal. At that moment, a potent computer virus was released and all electronic documentation of the soldiers was erased. None of the soldiers knew that they were effectively being killed at that moment, but none of them would have really cared. They had all died in one way or another long before this moment.

"Follow me." He walked through the doorway, and all followed behind. He cut off down a side hallway and came to a door. He stuck his hand into a scanner, and the door opened. He stepped through into a clean white room with several dozen lab personnel and technicians. Once the soldier's where inside, the door closed. The general turned to them. "Now strip." The soldiers all took off their clothing and stood, naked, in the middle of the room. "You might feel a slight discomfort."

For every soldier in the room, a tech went to their sides wielding what looked almost like a clothing iron. The devices glowed red hot as the technicians lowered the device onto their soldierss shoulder, holding it there for nearly a minute. When the device was removed, the tattoo that had formerly been there had been burnt out. Several of the less pain-resistant soldier's eyes watered in pain.

"Now get onto your table." In front of them was a row of tables, each one bearing a soldiers name. The soldiers layed down on the tables, and were quickly swarmed by doctors and technicians. A mask was lowered onto each of their faces, and they were all exposed to a gas that rendered them unconscious nearly immediately.
