Tanthan

From the Military Research Center report:
Within testing on Tanthan on shield generators another anomaly sparked a new kind of technology. A forcefield, which is a field and can be easily identified has been reduced to a wall. A invisible barrier of intense exotic matter that spins around the ship at the speed of light. While having a small volume and mass this property allows the 'forcewall' to be invisible and basically be undetectable.
Common place 'Star Wars' and 'Star Trek' models of shield function on a different principle which is heavily flawed compared to forcewalls. Star Wars-era shields are of several types, often projecting them into a space. This allows for easy detection and brillant colors, but poor defense against a overpowering force that if it cannot deflect the object or energy, it will break right through as laws of refraction and energy and mass deem. If the blast has more power and cannot be deflected, the shield will instantly break and hit the object.
Star Trek-era models are more advanced as next-generation of shields have been improved. Oddly enough to balance the energy needed to keep the shields up is oddly high despite the small projection of various shields. While it gives a greater power to avoid energy weapons, dense physical matter will asborb the shield's energy and inevitable destruction of the field will spell disaster for the ship. For the inside of most of the ships, force walls exist. Crew members and guests abroad these ships see 'windows' which are protected by a colorless, wall, without a field, which does not give the preception of it existing at all. These Forcewalls, are small and served without military use, despite the small amount of energy needed to power them, from the main shields. In cases of the ship's shields being down these small forcewalls protect the inhabitants despite high energy costs, small enough to be part of the 'life-support system'.
Then the next generation of forcewalls as main defenses were developed by Tanthan! Using small amounts of energy, they can be silently raised. Have no frequency in which to puncture through, or easy to break through with solid or energy weapons. Sadly as a disadvantage with all shields of this nature, a secondary shield has to be lowered to fire. The shield itself would also prevent the shell or beam from firing properly. At the risk of lowering a section of the sheilds, Tanthan has installed oscillating frequency secondary shields, same as Star Trek and Star Wars-era shields, that have no real mass, and are visible when hit.
Advantages
1. Undetectable
2. Mass and Volume to protect against physical attack
3. Low energy to contain, and refract energy beams.
4. No more frequencies that lead to easy destruction
5. Nearly unbreakable unless repeated attacks break down generator
Disadvantages
1. Unable to fire out of shield
2. Exotic matter will be released, leaving energy signatures of ship
3. Exotic matter can be unstable and highly explosive.
