Tanthan

After several years of tinkering with fusion-based pulse drive engines, a new level of power was reached when the frequency 5.6532 Thz was reached inside of our generators.
Early on the Elven scientists thought it was a horrible mistake that would doom the future of Fusion technology! As it turned out this power spike, was from a released particle here known on as 'Element 132'. The unusual element doesn't degrade as its other high energy atoms do. It defies the laws of physics as it gives off energy, and can seemingly 'copy' itself into other elements without heat.
This particle has a half-life of 500 years, and appears to degrade into 'Element 131' with the loss of 2 electrons and a neutron with the proton. The isotope is also stable, but appears to have a nasty habit of asborbing hydrogen to set it back into 132.
The properties of this element opens a new world for Fusion technology however. By fusing 2 other elements with iron, this stable high energy atom is made. No radiation is also given off like uranium or radium, the stable property makes it ideal for space ships and fighter craft.
Currently the 'Element 132' is under testing and the scientists who simply refer to it as 'Element 132' have secretive reasons for assigning a particle with the same mass a wrong name. Under the High Command, this name is referring to a 'new' type of science that borders on the fantastic.
Currently the fusion drive which had the anomaly to produce 'Element 132' is being copied several times, the malfunctioning laser and fuel mixture being carefully worked so that this 'malfunction' becomes an upgrade.
The main fusion drive which did this is stored on Arablast, .5 light-years away from Tanthan. The facility is currently extremely heavily guarded by two
Star Destroyers with 24 A-class Logistical Carrier ships to serve under them.
