Premier MacIntyre looked at hte maps of New Dornalia. Indeed, the Workers State had grown extensively, encompassing several planets, no mean feat.
But, there was one problem.
Earth SSR itself was nothing more than Central California and Los Angeles County. Terrible. On that, they had built an Empire. But this was too small a foundation.....
....so he, had an idea. He would send envoys to all the Abhuman and Survivor (Human) governments on Earth. He would then use Alpha Fleet to intimidate them into joining the Workers State. They couldn't last against a force of Star Destroyers and Battleships.
So, he sent the envoys, and made the calls. The Representatives flowed in....
...they assumed their places in the meeting area.
MacIntyre then said, "Ladies and Gentlemen. You are all here because I am presenting you an opportunity. The Workers State has expanded by leaps and bounds, technologically and territorally. Economically, it may be the most powerful nation on Earth."
His voice then grew lower. "And as I stand before you, I have the capacity to ruin you all."
The crowd began growing angry. Rabble-rabbles and harumphs were heard everywhere.
One woman, from Japan, said, "The Emperor refuses to believe this. His divine will can protect us from anything you have."
MacIntyre said, "Well then. Let's see about that."
He then called the NDS Vladimir Lenin. He ordered it to fire at Odiaba Island, to make an example of the others.
Sure enough, a video image flashed onscreen, and a camera attached to one of the torpedoes filmed the wave of torpedoes and laser blasts that landed on Odaiba Island. The camera fizzled out, but not before revealing a sight that made Hiroshima look like a grenade blast.
The crowd was shocked. More rabble-rabbles came out.
MacIntyre said, "Enough! I can do this to every capital of yours, all over this planet."
A catgirl from Britain said, "What will we get if we join? Will our cultures be safe? And what of these People's Acolytes?"
MacIntyre said, "Good question. You will all recieve full citizenship in the Workers State. You will all recieve respect for your personal rights, and you may worship and enjoy the basic rights of sentients. However, business affairs will be modified. You will have to embrace a democratic socialist syndicatilist model of business, where major corporations are run by workers' committees, but medium level and small businesses are run independently, but regulated by the government for concerns of safety and workers' equity."
An elf, from Oregon, said, "Okay....but what about us monarchies? What of us?"
MacIntyre said, "Regrettably, all monarchist estates and titles and claims of divinity will have to be abolished. Party memebership, however, will be free to monarchs, and you will be allowed to stay in power."
A murmur of interet emerged.
MacIntyre said, "Also, we will aid in transition to joining the Workers' State. All local militaries may join the Red Army, and keep their martial traditions, if not their uniforms. Schools and local institutions will be brought up to national standards though. However, local political divisions will have some autonomy in running their local affairs, like our present settlements."
Another murmur.
MacIntyre said, "Come on guys, gals. This change will not dramatically destroy your societies. In fact, we will respect local cultures when possible."
A pause, then: "Besides, if you don't join...."
The crowd said, "We get it."
"Good. A treaty will be signed tommorrow."
