The Colonial Minister, Georgov Zleikomovitch MP, approached the podium, cleared his throat and waited for the crowd's cheering subside. Finally, when they had stopped, he cleared his throat again, rustled his papers and began.
"Today, we come forward! Today, liberty has spoken! We have crushed the opposition who vowed for a disunited British Ocean State! As of today, Friday June 24 2005, the most great nations of Teawa, Narshe and Ouerziland have joined together under the name of the Commonwealth! The Commonwealth of Teawaland!"
