A balled headed tall yet skinny man walked up to the podium as hovering cameras and reporters with lights in his face and all sorts of equipment rushed in, to get shots the man started to speak trying to shoo away the lights and reporters.

He started speaking coughing a bit “yes, please clam down every one, it is my pleasure today to announce the acquisition of 2 new sectors one is 3,000 light years in size the other is 2,000 light years in size, the union senate has voted 200 / 40 to induct these sectors in to the United states, brining our total sectors to 52. these new sectors have increased our borders in fact these are facing towards unexplored regions of space these will provide us a base so that we may explore those un explored areas rather quickly.”


He continued after drinking some water “ in defense the Unite states DOD has sent about 150 ships to patrol the systems in that sector the number may seem small but believe me they are capable of handling such a load”

As one of patrol ships arrived in one of the systems on the outskirts of the claimed zone, they found a fleet in the process of devouring a planet and a steady stream of box ships leaving the system for parts unknown.

The USS galaxy along with 20 other ships rumbled towards the action,

The console on the galaxies bridge began beeping as sensors detected the activity, the ops officer was thrashing around taping on his blinking beeping console, watching on his sensor displays what was happening to the planet, he looked up a bit shocked but then saying to the captain in a loud surprised voice

“sir..! Something eating a planet in this system.”
The captain looked back “what?, ohh boy..” he sighed gripping on his leather like seat saying “go to yellow alert and hail the entities”

The tactical officer motioned his hands and started taping on the yellow alert option on thje LCARS display . a flash of yellow light with a low breep breep noise began

Mean while the con officer tried to hail the strange entitles eating the planet with a general message

“ this is the Federation star ship USS Galaxy, you are in a sector of Federation space what is your intention here? Please respond."

Our intentions are to mine this unclaimed system. As to your claim of this being your territory, there are no marker buoys or claim markers, hence unclaimed territory and ripe for mining.

“That’s because we just claimed it several days ago and we haven’t gotten around to placing markers here yet, we do not wish to cause a conflict so we offer a compromise we will allow you to mine 2 planets in this system in return for you leaving afterward, but also note we will respond to hostile action with force of our own do not play us for fools..”

If you havn't been here before, which by your own admissions you havn't, how can we believe that you have any claim to the system?
Also, two additional planets will result in the consumption of both remaining habitable planets.

The Captain exhaled sharply, drinking some tea saying in response” we will send you our star charts, and we request that you only target the uninhabitable worlds since both planets have been targeted for colonization buy our nation, we would like to reach a compromise, perhaps we can share this system ?”

Starfleet had given the expedition full diplomatic power to reach comprises, if that failed well they would be asked to leave again and if they refused .. they would be fired upon.

The galaxy class ship moved in front of the formation closer to the action. Rumbling as its impulse engines moved it along its hull gleaming from the stars light.

As to your request that we target only the unihabitable planets, none of them have the required materials that the habitabitable worlds do.

A message was sent : “allow us to scan the planets for sentient life, at least if you agree to only take one witch is barely class m we will allow it, the other is ours” an intrepid class ship rumbled and flew towards one of the planets witch was covered with mainly ocean

While this was going on the MF(mining fleet) continued to demolish the planet it was orbiting, the one that was perfectly 'M-class'.

"Expanding their territory, hm?" the crackling claws of the great Lightning Talon powerclaw tapped against the arm of the throne, as the Daemon Emperor stared out from his palace. "Most interesting indeed."

"What do you wish, my Lord?" A heretic thing bowed and supplicated, raising its eyes only to meet the mocking black stare of its master.

"As you must surely be aware, we cannot allow the USFU to expand, especially not against us. As such...We shall wait, and we shall watch, and in time, we shall learn how to use these new lands against them. Deploy a series of probes, I wish to know everything that they plan."

"In my name..." he mused softly, turning to a vast logistics screen which documented the extent of the USFU. "They try to gain so much, so fast..."

As the ship scanned the federal fleet moved to orbit the ocean planet in a protective formation, since it was targeted for colonization it would be a few hours before a level 10 scan was complete witch meant every thing was combed over with a toothbrush like scan.

OOC: What sort of sizes are your other 52 sectors? Because if they're even remotely similar sizes to those new ones of yours, your total territory will actually be bigger than the entire galaxy...

ooc: mine is something one the order of a forest/plains world, small oceans and large lakes, your'se is an ocean world. We would have no use of to mine an ocean world, too much hassle.

Mean while class ship continued the scan, the USS Galaxy was rumbling slowly towards the planet along with some other ships to for ma protective formation incase there friends decided to try any thing.

OOC: TFU, how many ships do you have to patrol these two new sectors? Do you have any idea how large 2000/3000ly is? That's 1/100th of the galaxy. It's fucking huge. Huge! There isn't a chance in hell that you can effectively patrol all that space.

EDIT: I did some calculations. 150 ships to patrol 9,000,000 sq ly of space? Even if they were all spread out, that would mean each ship would have to be responsible for 60,000 sq ly. In other words, you'd be so thinly spread that three butterflies and an Oompa Loompa could kick your arse.

OOC: So? Native populations doesn't mean you can patrol that sector without overexpanding yourself.

Elayeth Wren placed the datapad of information down onto his mahogany desk. It had been three months since the official move of Veskaland’s Chief of State and Commander in Chief from Veska City on Earth, a small city state… the only political holding of the Imperial Star Empire on Earth, to Echelon City on Titan, the largest planet under ISE control. Titan was to be the new administrative capital of the ISE with planet Veska to be the military capital.
On Elayeth’s mahogany desk was a small red cricket ball, signed by the famous “Veskan Panthers” team from 2349. It was Elayeth’s most prized possession.
Elayeth pressed a blue section of the black console embedded in his desk, “Is Fleet Admiral Cabbel there yet?” He asked his secretary, who pushed a similar blue button in her desk and replied, “Yes sir, he has been waiting for three and a half hours.”
“Well send him in then!” Elayeth said.
Fleet Admiral Thul Cabbel strode into Elayeth’s office dressed in his dress uniform. A white blazer and pants with black polished leather shoes. The blazer had a red trim under each arm running from the armpit to the bottom of the blazer. The collar of the blazer was also red, this was the colour of the command department. Security was blue, medical green, engineering grey and intelligence black. The Diplomatic Corps had a different uniform altogether.
“Sir,” He said, his voice crisp and aesthetically pleasing, “I too have hear the news that the USFU have taken two sectors… the Sector 201(the 2,000 ly one) and 202. We have ships in 203 and 200. They can intercept the USFU craft in less then five minutes.”
“Fleets or just ships?” Elayeth asked.
“Several ships, not really enough to call them a fleet. We have two Dreadnaughts seven Corsairs and three Sumatra’s.” FltAdm Cabbel responded.
“Send them.” Elayeth ordered.

“The other ships have arrived no sir.” The comms officer replied.
Captain Jandon Suba looked up from his cup of tea at the other ships in the sector. Not Zaon ships. But not enemies either…. The target ships. Only a few colony ships and their escorts, posing no threat whatsoever to the Zaon craft. One Sumatra could defeat 50 of their “galaxy class” ships.… but Theao had sent their annual mining ship expedition out and they had found the resources they wanted in the class three planets of the system. The only two habitable planets in the whole sector. “Well I don’t think the USFU really want Theao to take ‘their’ planets… and I don’t think Theao believes that the planets belong to anyone. And Admiral Cabbel seems to agree so we have to get the USFU ships out of here one way or another.

Greetings from all in the Zaon Imperium and the Imperial Star Empire of Veskaland! We congratulate you on your attempt to take this sector. However neither Zaon nor Theao acknowledges your territorial claim to this system and we request you cancel your plans and leave this system and this sector. If you do not, you will be fired upon.

The USS galaxy responded as it faced outward towards the new ships. Its hull lights blinking as it held its position

The captain was sighing slightly “grate more company” he looked over to his ops officer and tiredly said “open a channel to the ships” the ops officer tapped his flashing blinking console opening a channel.

The Capitan started to speak “this is the captain of the federation star ship galaxy, we do not care if you don’t recognize our claims how ever, we wish to seek a peaceful solution to this ,if you attack we will be forced to retaliate regardless you have been warned ,we also ask that you leave this system.”

The union is fully capable of protecting it self as you’ve learned in the last 2 wars witch you lost miserably, if you attempt to claim it for your mad man emperor we will consider that an act of aggression, and will respond with force, so we would like to see your pitiful attempt at claiming theses sectors, and when your fleets are floating husks of burning cardboard, do not cry that you spilt your milk and honey. As for these aggressors if they do not withdraw immediately we Will use force to make them withdraw, there arrogant assumptions that we are weak will be there downfall!
