With the threat of cloaked fighters and ships apparent in the new battlefields of outer space, the People's Navy has opted to design a countermeasure to this.

The Amethyst Stealth Detection System, in the works, is planned to use a combined microwave, proton torpedo, and detection laser system, mounted at various spots on the ship or fighter. Intense amounts of microwaves at high frequencies (which will be rotated often to prevent scrambling) are sent out in a concentrated field around the ship or fighter, and a scanning laser looks for potential gaps in the fields. When a gap that corresponds to the shape of an enemy ship or fighter is detected in the field, the laser locks onto the gap, and the proton torpedo tube fires at it.

Other defense systems, such as ship-based lasers, railguns (currently being tested for ship based use) and torpedoes will be targeted towards the object as well, until a kill is confirmed.

Testing for the Amethyst has proved very optimistic, and the system is expected to be featured on new production Zaitsev Imperial Star Destroyers, Marineskos and Mao Zedong II ships.

(OOC: To be honest, the only FT bit in this whole system would be the weapons it fires against the stealthed craft, (Namely the proton torpedoes.) An MT version that uses normal missiles is well within your bounds imo.)

I just want the system that detects the stealth aircraft. My SAMs will follow the coordinates from the system.

This stealth system, will be avaiable for passenger liners and ground defense? United Lunar Socialists Moon Cities have been having to deal with Corporate Armies sending in soldiers of fortune in small and almost invisible spacecraft. Our radar systems are top notch, but the Earth Corporations have been able to flood our systems with alot of "noise." For our commerical liners, spacejackers and terrorists, independent of the corporations. Usually these hostile groups will come up quickly with stealth and primitive cloaking units and combat dock with our spacecraft. So as you can see the United Lunar Socialists is in need of such a microwave and laser system. The missile unit can be saved for other customers. We have sufficent weapons.

Also would our scientists and engineers be able to so to speak reverse engineer/adapt this MLDS (Microwave Laser Detection System) to our research, mining, and exploration units? The crews of those craft have interests of mapping and plotting most of objects in the asteroid belt. Most are unseen to telescopes and the naked eye due to the darkness there, but with the MLDS and Radar combined, it should do a decent job.

Anyway, the ULS is willing to trade or pay for the MLDS. Thank you.

The Commissariat for National Defense agrees to the shipment of this system to Luxus Mond, provided a Non-Disclosure Agreement is signed, and a fee of about USD$20,000,000 is paid. Basically, we'll ship it to you, if you agree not to give it to anybody else without our approval.

As of right now, your MLDS systems to be winning since it can be modified for other purposes. However most of the other defense systems are guarnteeing an entie Lunar Shield. So your system may be adopted. If you give the United Lunar Socialist government another 24hrs, a decision should be reached.

Most of the military forces of Earth don't concern themselves with space, so no need to bring a capital ship. Also that sector is prime area for hyperspace and FTL jump arrivals. The Finance Department is curious what form of payment your company would like. Would you like precious metal, paper currency, wired to account, or some other form of currency?
