Anybody interested in an 18/19th Century RP, or forum? I think an Earth: Imperialism might be rather entertaining, if a few decent RPers joined up with some knowledge of the era.
Most likely it would be set in the late 1700's or early 1800's, before machine guns came into common use and uniforms were toned down.
Of course some nations would be basicaly unplayable due to technology differnces, but Im sure somebody wants to be the Zulu ^_^
The timeline would be semi-independant. Major inventions would be givin to the country where they first came into use around the time they came into use. Im thinking time would advance a year every week or so, perhaps 'pausing' every now and then for major wars and RP's, things like that.

Of course Im open to ideas, input is welcome and all that.

I'd like to RP the United States if I could do some things differently (like actually build a decent navy and train regular troops before I even think of hostilities against England).

I know a good deal about France, when they were in Mexico and the British empire of the late 1800's, although it's all in my head, as opposed to written down anywhere, and almost all my knowledge revolves around the desperate stands fought in the Africas, India, and The Mid-East, like Jalalabad, The Rift where they fought the Zulus, Camerone in Mexico, and a few other major battles.

hmmm, 1700's-1800's you say? All ican say ios put me down as The Republic of Texas, or if we're going earlier than that then then I'd have to go with Spain

Oh, I would love to be Prussia, or if it is early enough Poland - Lithuanian. I think the best time would be 1805-1815. Somewhere in there, thats the better time peroid. For information there is Wikipedia, and Google.

Not to mention all the research I do into new products. And I haven't even mentioned the alternate history RP I'm doing, the post U.S. RP I'm doing, the current RPs I'm still involved with...

We now have the British Empire and a small Germanic state that is either Hannover or Saxony, because the Holy Roman Empire changes its boarders every other year and I cant find the correct map.

IN fact, theres a small debate going on as to the exact future of France...my theory is that a small socialist cell that nobody has ever heard of will come to power and establish the United Soviet Socialist Republics of France :)

Has anybody grabbed Japan cause that has real interesting possibilities, at this point in history it could go imperialist or traditionalist pretty easily.

Socialist Frabce eh? I'd pay to see that one, I'd love to see someone pull it off.

SOmeone could grab the remaining African countries (the ones that havent bee imperialised yet) and try to fight of Imperialization, that could be fun too, maybe if they could buy arms from rivals of the countries trying to imperialize them.

Japan is still free, as is China, which was the one you wanted first ;)

Most of Africa is still free, except Egypt and Libya which are (technically) part of the Ottoman Empire, and a few others belonging to Europeans. Madagascar is sort-of French, but its basicaly a sort of pirate stopover for the area.
