Some strange stuff has been going on in the "underground" of civilisation. Large warhouses spanning into the underground levels have been chained up by unkown beings, and large-street battles have gone on during the night, without trace of any dead or living beings being there, just the destruction, shells and weapons left behind.
Supersticians have gone wild. The scared and answerless have sugessested the age old battle between Vampires and Werewolves has sarted again. Some suggest its just vampires going wild and having clan troubles.
What the governments were suggesting was the homeless and poverty stricken were having fights and cleaning up everything to make sure anything valuable could be sold.
Behind the scenes the government was sending special ops forces into these warhouses. Theses men were often lost and those who did return came back were corrupted physically and were admitted to mental hospitals and were found dead later on with some oddity used to bash in their skulls or another form of self torture and suicide.
The UN has pooled its resources and intelligence and have decided that while special ops is affective their best soldiers are going down the drain to be killed off, lost, or go insane. The most supported decision was to hire people who want to do it. There is now a mercenary sign up at all community centres and recreational outlets. (Post your merc, and well continue from there in a warehouse.)
