Olan and the surrounding regions have suffered much annihalation in thecivil war. THey are mostly abandoned, though some small communities of Republican survivors still exist at the outskirts of the radioactive zones. The radiation has caused many horrors, new creatures from the biolabs, mutants, and bodies of the dead twisted and reanimated prowl for prey. There is a secret republican lab in the city of Irosk, off the coast of Olan. The nukes that destroyed the city have resulted in a radioactive surface lethal to man, and the only way is through the under the ground from Republican headquarters in Olan. Those seeking the secrets of this lab must travel through the towns and cities surrounding Olan, fallen encampments (the fallen are survivors struggling to survive), monsters, the walking dead, and other horrors.
In the lab are artifacts, and religious things, texts, and scrolls and research that point to some greater power on another plane. Located within the northern reaches of the Kellarin province is the palace of the heavens, an icy fortress that has long been secretive and mysterious, and to which a Republic expedition had been sent. The palace will be the centre of a second follow up RP in which RPers will discover the gate of the gods in the palace, travel to a higher plane, unlock the gods that have been trapped for thousands of years (have a choice between being good or evil). The RPers will return to the normal world, the palace spires will light up with a brilliant blue light, the gods will return, and it will be up to the RPers, their respective nations, and the Tundric armies to drive them back and lock them away.
Thats a basic rough outline of what I have planned, anyone interested, please post here, and post your character if you want (please, no special forces teams, just single characters, pairs, or a small three or four man team, though singles are preferable. Ex-military is fine, or present member of the armed forces. Also, for equipment, nothing like a nuclear powered humvee, or rail gun or gauss rifles or anything out of the ordinary like that.
