[Earth II] EOL Fleet Week Sign-Up (OOC)
Layarteb
21-06-2005, 21:12
The Empire of Layarteb will be hosting the first ever, Earth II, fleet week in Layarteb City. Modelled after the real-life fleet week, the EOL will be inviting ships from around the world to come, show of, do demonstrations, party, compete, etc. This is a sign-up thread so if you wish to attend the RP please tell me who you are and what ships (quanitity, classification, specifications, pictures if possible) you will be providing and I will either approve or deny.
Yes I would like this to be civilized but you know, inviting foreign ships into a port is just a bastion of possibilities so no this RP is not going to be directed, it's going with the flow. I will start it on the 25th of June to the 27th, I am not sure when I will be that free.
Delegations will be staying at the Waldorf Astoria so please, when you sign up include who is coming so I can do this realistically.
Basically this is going to be a party RP. It'll be celebrating the end of World War. There will be air shows, naval shows, parties, competitions, dances, balls, gallas, etc. I mean we're talking insane. Fireworks too...and I mean fireworks. I'll put the 100th anniversay of the Statue of Liberty to shame!
NOTICE: If you are not part of Earth II you may still join as a person, group, etc. I am opening this up!

You can bring armament we just don't want any shells loaded in the chambers whilst in port, incase of an accidental firing. You can bring a full load of stores if you wish.

We will send a ship filled with a highly explosive substance. Yup, yup yup. Of course, it will be well protected, and it could never go off due to the fact that we are the best engineers ever, thus meaning it would be impossible for there to be a flaw in our ship design. Yup yup. Of course, if there were to be a flaw, the entire city would go up in flames. BOOM!
Heh heh heh. Flames...burning...explosions...heh heh heh...

Secret telegram to Layarteb
In a last minute decision, the Emperor would very much like to bring with his son Josh (aged 15) to the Fleet Week. This is based on a promise the Emperor made his son. If he got good grades in school, he would be allowed to go along to the Fleet Week in Layarteb City. It is also a good chance for the heir to the Cottish throne to learn more about one of Cotlands most important allies. If he is allowed to be brought along, the number will be raised with fifteen. The young prince and four of his best friends, as well as a further ten Imperial Guards to protect the boys and keep them out of trouble.

The United Republics of Jankia would like to attend this party, we are not part of Earth II but would like to celebrate that a war has ended.
Naval Vessels:
The USS Jankia AKA "The Presidents Ship" This ship is the fastest, most decorative, comfortable, luxurious, protective ship in Jankia. To Wildaball's belly feathered seats to the latest in Jankian electronic technology. As you already know, Its the president's private luxury ship.
The USS Patriota
The USS Honour & Courage
Note: All of these ships are the Jankian Swordfish destroyer class L. They all will be unarmed.
Guests:
President Janky Scardino
Vice President General John Nather
Ten of the President's bodyguards, armed with a compact XM8 if thats ok. The guards will not count as guests.
Jankian Army Generals
Jankian Prime Minister
Ten of the President's handpicked guests
Ten of the best Jankian soldiers and Pilots.

Since armaments are not permitted at certain festivities without prior permission, we would like to request that the Emperor's bodyguards be allowed to retain their electro-pikes throughout these festivities.
The electro-pike is the weapon of the Kreynorian Imperial Guard. The electro-pike is a fusion of traditional and modern technology into a lethal weapon. The weapon’s shaft is 12 feet long and 1 inch wide, and each blade is 2 feet long and 3-½ inches wide. The shaft is titanium-aluminum alloy, and the blades are carbon steel edged in diamond. The blades’ edges are monofilament, meaning they are just a molecule wide, and capable of cutting through virtually anything. The blades are also sharply pointed for stabbing. The center half of the shaft is covered in a bronze-and-leather grip. Behind each blade is a small generator. The generator electrocutes the blades, causing each slash or stab to discharge electricity onto its target, making the weapon capable of stunning or killing its victims with a single blow.
OOC: I have a (crude) picture of it on paint, how do I put a link to it here?

Err armaments in the way of civilians. Layarteb has laws that enable carrying weaponry on you, in the form of pistols. Bodyguards of diplomats will certainly be permitted to carry weapons.
That is a huge weapon! For the record, my diplomats are really scared of sharp pointy things and will steer clear of the Kreynorian Delegation. We had a bad go with a medival style battle few years back and our people vowed never again to use anything but modern weapons for combat or defense. Most of our guards carry shortened MP5 variants and have strictly as a last resort weapon a small fixed blade combat fighting knife. But then again we almost went to war with them so bellying up to the bar with them probably was out of the question anyway.
