The Sparon Hive, an arcology concept that would house hundreds of people inside a building spanning the area of a large shopping mall, has been issued the go-ahead by the CGM. If the project is started (the future of it is unsure), it has been estimated that it would take anywhere from 10 to 100 years to finance and complete.
The idea is to provide a fortified, self-sufficient zone both for residential and commercial uses, in case of another war as terrible as the Farmina War of 2035-2045. It would also be the first to use the Core Subsystem (CS), a supercomputer designed by the Core Government Module staff that can both manage a settlement and link up to the CGM to implement laws and submit ideas for new ones.
The Hive would be comprised of five entities: the central tower, function buildings, protection wall, underground industrial unit and defense platforn. The tower would be thirty floors high and would be the epicentre of the Hive. It would contain the entrance, central computer network and CS unit. The six function buildings would be twenty floors and extend out of the central tower like spokes in a wheel. These would contain residential and commercial areas. The roofs would be reinforced with aluminium and concrete.
The outer wall would be built from concrete, ceramic, rubber and aluminium and would protect the function buildings from ground attacks. It would contain small slits to fire machine guns and RPGS.
The UUI would be two floors deep and contain pollutants, as well as laboratories. The defense platform would be a mesh over the top of the wall and would house surface-air missiles and other air combat devices.
