A new nation, created from the union of the two smaller states Vlad and Chekia has announced itself to the world. The two states have unted, after a peace treaty brought them together, after nearly 50 years of warfare. The newly elected President, Vladmir Von Dresdau, has asked for trade agreements and aliances with the more established nations of the world. He has also asked for assistance in rebuilding the shattered cities of the new nation, since a long and bloody war has recently ended.

"Vladachekia," he said, "Will rise to great hieghts, now that the nations have become one. We will be a great and worthy nation, graceful and accomadatng peace, and fearsome and deadly in war."

The speech was greated with thunderous cheers and chants of "Vladachekia!" and "Von Dresdau" from the crowd below the podium.

Information about Vladachekia

Vladachekia is recovoring from 50 years of warfare, and is in not so great shape. It is getting back on it's feet, and currently exports timber, steel, and some manufactured goods. All foodstuffs are being kept in country in order to feed refugees and the citizens fo the country. The standing military is small, less than 150,000 men, despite the cumpolsury 4 year military service. Vladachekia lacks a large, up to date Airforce. The current airforce flys mainly F-14 Tomcats, and there are only about a dozen of these. Vladachekia is landlocked and has no need for a navy. The army consists of poorly armed, but highly trained infantry, and out of date tanks, such as the T-54.

Vladachekia is located in a large valley, sorrounded by mountains. It is usualy rich and fertile, but the long war as undoubtedly affected the ecosystem.
