Seharai has legalised private research and a few small companies have gone (what a surprise) into the lucrative arms industry.

These companies have found that the Seharai Government is as yet unable to support them with research grants and will be seeking international contracts. Funding has been required and development of some systems have begun

-R1 EMR (Electromagnetic Railgun).
-Spider (Name to be decided) Light Recon/ATACS (All Terrain Automated Combat System).

Systems in development:
-Eddy (Name to be decided) Seaskimmer.
-Demon (N.t.b.D) Orbital Area Denial Weapon.

The Republic of Lanquassia, having a desire for space capabilities, would like to offer the nation of Seharai a partnership to develop new space technologies to expand our nations economies.

The Republic is specifically interested in making a deal with Harai Aviation Tech. and the Seharai government for this program. We do not wish to rob other nations of their ability to develop technology, thus the partnership aspect. While the Republic has its own private research groups, we wish to involve as many different research companies on different lines of approach as possible, as well as their parent nations.

The Republic of Lanquassia would also extend the invintation to the Holy Empire of Kampfgarten to take part in a mutual alliance for the expansion into space.

We also notice that the Holy Empire is lacking in many resources that the Republic of Lanquassia has in overabundance to our needs.

Here's one theoretical (T) project that all three companies have looked at.

Angel (Name to be decided - angel is just for use in development) Spotter Satelite Network.

Alpha (Name to be decided) Anti-ICBM platform

These two systems are deigned to work together to form a basic Anti-ICBM network. Lacking funds SrE has been unable to undertake any simulations but calculations put a chance of a successful intercept at 50~60% per platform at a radius of 350km with increased chance per extra platform.

Angel: Mini Stealth Satelites that can double as commercial Telecomm. Satelies are set up in a constellation around the planet (at least the areas that do not automatically shoot down satelites). + Radar Stations.
-The satelites can detect ICBM launches and suspected ICBMs (e.g. any atmospheric object travelling at over 4 times the speed of sound).
-The ICBM is tracked by the network and data on its velocity, estimated height and ETA are sent to (whatever you use for communications/detection). All transmissions are encrypted.
-The data is than sent on to Alpha platforms in the PIA (Projected Interception Area).

Alpha: Floating or mountain based platforms with long range radar/ladar and thermal tracking. Armed with anti-air and anti-missile systems.

-Data received from Angel network.
-The PIA is refined into definite zones.
-Intercept zones divided into:
*Long Range (250~400km)
*Mid-Range (100~250km)
*Short Range (0~100km)
(LR)
-2 swarms of 6 missiles (disruptor/nuclear/plasma take your pick: We recommend disruptor) are launched. Followed by 8 Mid-Range missiles of the same type.
-Missiles launch timed so that the missiles arrive at PIA at around same time as the ICBM. The sensors on the Alpha platforms make any last minute velocity adjustments.
-Missiles detonate in a pattern calculated to spread the power of the charges in the most effective way. Hopefully taking out the ICBM.
(MR)
-The 8 Mid-Range missiles are directed and detonated if the ICBM gets past the first layer. This should take out the ICBM as at Mid-Range detonation commands are transmitted much faster and we have a better idea of the ICBM's velocity.

last ditch attempt-(SR)
-Disruptor cannons and EMRs (Electromagnetic railgun) set up an interdiction line of fire.
-The ICBM crosses line and should be sufficiently damaged as to be destroyed. (Warning: Dirty Explosion much more likely)

The Angel Network can also guide missiles at LR

We know that nuclear war is unlikely but hey, paranoia is a healthy trait. Plus you can use the Angel network for commercial communications.

Edit: The price of the Angel network satelites has been estimated to be $8 million assuming Aerial Launch. The price of a basic constellation setup is therefore etimated to be around $250 million (8x20 + launch prgram cost) not counting extra equipment .

The Alpha platforms are estimated to cost around $1.2 billion each when fully equipped. The price of each salvo of Anti-missiles is projected to be around $12 million (assuming disruptor charge).

Edit2: Oh and Seharai will not be selling these as we currently lack the manufacturing capability to do so. We will only be producing the first 2 satelites and tone of the platforms as a (P) (prototype). Any contracts are for the manufacturing rights and consultation.

The Republic of Lanquassia is willing to engage all three corporations, plus any native industries in Seharai itself, in the further research and possible eventual construction of these projects.

To that end, the Republic of Lanquassia is willing to ship Seharai, as part of the economic deal, several million waloon's worth (1.28 waloons to the USD) of machined tools, construction materials, concrete, and steel to create a support structure for these research institutes.

Furthermore we demand a 17.5% discount in case the project succeeds and Kampfgarten decides to buy it.

For now...

SrE-R1 (P) EMR (Electromagnetic Railgun) - 4mm mini HEAT accelerator.

The EMR accelerates a mini HEAT round to near 32,500 km/h. It is unique in that it fires a double round burst and there is no signifcant recoil which means a relatively fast rate of fire for a main gun (60 rounds) without much decrease in accuracy.
Upon impact each roud has an impact pressure of 1.3 trilion Newtons per square meter and kinetic energy of 960,000 kJ. The double round burst system means that one round impacts directly after another ensuring that any damage inflicted by the first round is compounded by the second.
The 4mm rounds has been shown to be able to punch holes in most conventional armor and should do relatively well when faced with layered armor.

PROBLEMS: The accleration rail is relatively fragile compared to gun barrels.
-Huge drain on power. A M1A2 Abrams would have to divert power from most of its systems and still only be able to fire at 10% of full power.
-The magnetic pulse emitted is visible to many sensor systems.

SrE- Spider (N.t.b.D) Light Recon/ATACS (All Terrain Automated Combat System)

The Spider is an ATACS, which means that it possesses an analysis engine which let it respond to changes is situation. This system is not an AI as, no matter how well something responds, a system may not be called an AI until it can make an unprogrammed decision.

The Spider is an adaptation of the Tachikoma AI Tank wich appeared on GitS: SAC, it is different in that:

a) It is not an AI
b) Better armor
c) No web cannon
d) It cannot jump around

Weight: (This is only an initial estimate with basic gear) 1200kgs
Length: 5.8m
Height: 2.4m
Width: 3.5m

Engine: To be decided but we are looking for a ligh engine that can supply decent power. Of course rotary engine are compact but we are unable to use them because they make too much noise. SrE is currently looking at adapting a rotary engine but so far have not been able to think of any solutions to the noise problem.

Steel Frame, Carbonfibre body, 38mm KEDA (Kinetic Energy Diffusion Armor)

Top speed: 55km/h across mountain terrain, 90km/h across flat ground

Grappler launchers- arranged so that two grapplers can hook on to any target no matter what angle it is on. (5 launchers) Three grapplers can lift a 1500kg object 2m in the air.

Sieve ATACS Analysis Engine

Thermal Imagers, Radar, Red Light Receptors, Targetting LASERs (Covering a 360/270 field)
