Posted on DGNT Govornment Announcements, Public:
Greetings again, citizens of the Empire.
It has been announced today by Mr 47, Glorious Emperor of the SuperHappy Funtime Empire of Dontgonearthere, that after a long period of inactivity Dontgonearthere will be returning to the galactic stage.
Plans have been made to engage in an expansionist campaign, taking new planets and systems into the folds of the Empire. As such a massive reactiviation of the military has begun, bringing the total strength of the Dontgonearthere Armed Forces to over one hundred and fifty million soldiers, split up amoung the navy and ground forces.
We will, once this is finished, move on a number of pre-selected systems to secure them for occupation, and, in some cases colonization.
We assure our fellow empires that none of these worlds are within their territories or claimed by them. If anybody wishes to dispute this they can take it up with the complains department on Pax IV.
...
In other news it was announced today that a new crusade against Mimes has been launched in order to rid our nation of the threat from within. DEATH TO MIMES!

OOC:
I dont suppose anybody is up for a massive smash fest? I note a few super-dreadnaught threads spread out over the last few pages, and I bet you I can dig up my old Piledrivers for some fun ^_^.
and yes, Dontgonearthere is perfectly capable of 150 million soldiers, more than that, in fact. As long as I inform everybody that they are rather poorly armed and trained...except the fellows who ARE well trained.)

"ALRIGHT YOU LITTLE BASTARDS, LISTEN UP!"
Fifty of the newest 'recruits' snapped to various degrees of attention, a few tried to salute, or tried to try to salute, or something alone those lines.
"YOU are the newest conscripts in DAFT, thats the Dontgonearthere Armed Forces Traning program, dont laugh at the name, because then we'll have to hurt you. This program is specificaly designed to...yes, private?"
"'S'cuse me sah, but dint the li'l thing we signed when we join'd up say that you wasnt s'posed ta hurt us?"
The sergeant paused, then turned to the private.
Quick as a mongoose (which is rather faster than a number of snake) he pulled out a pistol and shot the private in his leg.
"That answer your question? If not, then yes. We are allowed to hurt you. Remember, YOU ARE ALL EXPENDABLE. We can afford more soldiers. Your job for the next four weeks is to sweat, suffer and do what your told, I am informed that through this method you will become soldiers...oh for the love of...MEDIC!...where was I? Ah, yes. Eventualy, those of you that survive will form a single squad of soldiers, we expect that the other three quarters of you will die, be permenantly maimed or go insane."
A medic jogged up, saluted the sergeant, then dragged the wounded private off to parts unknown.
"Now, there are only three rules that you need to know for the present, they are as follows:
ONE. I am not 'sir', 'sah', or any varient thereof. I am Sergeant. I have no first or last name to any of you.
TWO. You WILL do as I say without hesitation or thought unless otherwise specified.
THREE. Attempting to interact with female conscripts or recruits will land you in serious hot water. It has been determined that any givin male can go one week without fucking something, so you can wait until graduation at which point you will be aloted a timeslot in order to go and get laid.
NOW GET YOUR SCRAWNY LITTLE ARSES INTO THE BARRACKS! GOGOGOGOGO!"

Outer Edge of DGNT Empire, Unkown System

"Main capacitor at %75 on guns one, two, and four. Number three is still acting funny, sir."
Admiral Gyson nodded, "Tell them to carry on with the test, we can wait for number three for now, but once the war starts its going to have to be at full capacity."
Gyson looked out over the twenty kilometers of ship stretching out in front of him, visible on both sides were two of the Piledriver class's main guns, massive affairs nearly a mile long themselves, and quite capable of destroying an Earth-sized planet, or at least making it impossible to live on.
"Number three is ready, standing by to fire."
"Commence the firing sequence, target Planetoid S4 43259. I want it dusted."
"Aye, sir."
The small planetoid, about twice the size of the Piledriver, was just now orbiting into view. It was mostly nickle-iron and quartz, heavily pitted from several billion years of meteoric impacts.
"Cannon 1 reprots lock, syncing with the other guns...synced. Firing sequence initiated."
Outside, the area around the cannons grew fuzzy around the cannons as the massive energy buildup began to warp local space.
"Five...four...three...two...one...firing."
Four beams leapt out of the cannons, searing through space on their path to the planetoid. Their impact produced startlingly little effect for all that preparation. Then the main blast came, a bulge of energy traveling down the line. On impact with the planetoid it cracked through the crust, crashing into the planets denser core and exploding.
This sent molten fragments of planet zooming all over the system in a state of some dissaray.
The bridgecrew cheered, this was the first shot fired by a Piledriver in almost fifty years, and it had gone perfectly. Clearly the old GLACORP scientists had known what they were doing, and designed for long term storage.
"Good job, now lets hope it works when we need it."
"Well, if were going to carry the metaphore any further, perhaps we could throw some viagra into the engine core?"
"Thats enough, the spooks are listening, you know."

Secret Facility in the Dry Ocean
Two sweating conscripts were buisly hauling crates into a black painted transport of some kind. The craft had an overall sleek appearance, like a fifty meter long hawk.
"What do you think these things are?" The first private grunted as he hauled on one of the crates. They hadnt been issued hover lifters or anything, so they had had to make do with the old-fashioned carts they found in the bay.
"Dunno. Acigoo?"
"Dont even JOKE about that shit man. You ever read the history docs? That stuff is worse than freakin' tobbaco."
"Bah, like they would be stupid enough to let us load it if it was acigoo. They would have a bloody SpecOps team in here, and THEY would have hovorlifters."
"I dunno man...this things are bloody heavy."
"What, you want to open one? Remember the expression on the SpecOps guys face?"
"He was wearing his helmet."
"Yeah, but you could freakin' SEE it through his mask, especialy the bit where he said "If you value your lives, which I dont, and the equipment, which I do, you will NOT open those crates.", you remember that?"
"Well, if it was dangerous they would be locked now, wouldnt they?"
"That is rather odd...but y'see, they also have all the warnings and such covering them. Y'see the sticker there that shows the guy with his head flying off and says 'do not open'?"
"Bah, thats just to discourage people. Look, you can go over there and watch from behind the crate if you want, Im gonna take a look."
"It might be gas or something..."
"In crates? Why would they ship gas in crates? The things arent even airtight, look, you can see where the packing paper has fallen out. Just go over there."
"Alright...your funeral. Just wait until I get out the door."
"Bah, wuss."
The, rather foolish, private grabbed a nearby crowbar, jammed it into a the nearest box and heaved.
The lid came off in a puff of coolant, revealing a grey orb suspended in some sort of coolant field.
"Oh...shit...they really fucking did it...its fucking acigoo..."
At that point the stasis genreator failed due to narrative dramatics. The grey orb, which was not actually acigoo, but a very good impersonation of it, launched itself out of the crate and latched onto the private who didnt have time to scream.
Once it was done with the private it went on to consume the stasis field and was about to move on when the door opened.
"Holy HELL!" The second private, drawn by the famous 'monkey instinct' to check out his comrades screams, stood in the door.
The orb had formed itself into a sort of vauge humanoid shape, rounded off arms and a single eye in its 'head', which was now focused on him.
The creatures body pivoted and it began to run towards him, its arm raised. The strange substance ran forward and began to form some kind of weapon...
The private screamed again and slammed the emergency close button, hoping that the...thing would be stopped by that, at least.
There was a loud 'THUMP!', such as might be caued by a large body impacting on a door.
Within a few minutes a team of SpecOps arrived, specialy armed. The squads leader looked at the private, his masks blackened eye covers flashing menacingly.
"You opened a crate, didnt you?"
"N-no...it w-w-was my partner...he...he let...i-it out...I didnt do it..."
"Idiot. I TOLD you not to open it. Bloody chimp."
The marines were all equipped with heavy backpacks and holding strange tube-like guns with large emmiters on the end.
"Alright, remember, aim for the body, thats where the CPU is, if we can hit that we will be able to take it out in one hit."
There was a chorus of grunts as the soldiers prepped their weapons and lined up in front of the door.
"GO!"
The door flew open and ten SpecOps soldiers flew through. The creature was at the other side of the hanger, working on the large craft, slowly absorbing it. On hearing the men enter it raised a new head to look at them, it now had six eyes and a large mouth for some unspeakable reason.
It screeched at them and charged.
All of the marines fired at once, sending blasts of electromagnetic energy sparking through the things body. About halfway across the hanger it stumbled, fell, and disentigrated, its body falling to pieces and eventually vanishing as the individual nanobots that made it up stopped receiving orders from the now-disabled CPU. Eventually all that was left was the CPU, about the size of a laptop and the original sensor.
On the floor by the aircraft lay the body of the private, who was very thin and very pale at this point, lying in a pool of clear fluid which would prove to be blood plasma with almost zero mineral content.
"Wh...what was it?"
The private had come into the hanger as well.
"Its none of your buisness. Now clean up this damn mess and get back to work, and DONT open any of the freakin' crates."

I could tie this in with acigoo somehow, maybe a RNCS goes rouge or becomes sentient or something, or perhaps some real acigoo comes back.

And ya that was the first incident where a space nation (name forgotten) sent the acigoo into a black hole and it was gone. Incident two was Egyptstan getting it and threatening the world with it. Incident three was refered to as the beta strain that was green and not grey and spawned much more violent creatures at a rate three times the alpha strain.

DGNT. You have every asset of mine at your disposal. After the recent civil war, I have 900 million men enlisted (because that's where the food is). They all have chips in their brains that keep a record of them and is also our version of basic training mixed in with dog tags. We have approx 5k ships of all different classes and the logistics trail to support them. We also have some prototype Sniper BBs and a SDS ready.

Deep in the depths of space is a ship. A ship so dangerous that nodbody in their right mind would dare approach it. Even in peace. Or perhaps "was" is a perrter word to use, the past tense would be far more appropriate in describing that particular ship. Ever since the Star Conqueror cut it to pieces.

In the 113 sector, nothing is allowed to hold a candle against the might of the Star Conqueror and, by connection, Al-Imvadjah. in fact, the 113 sector has been completely, to make a bad pun, conquered by the Conqueror. Its taskforce has subjegated 75 alien species and laid claim to 3000 uninhabited systems. Of course, all this time in deep space, in the comfortless interior of a warship, can make a crew a little strange. The last two worlds never even got a chance to surrender before they were pounded into the stone age. Bloodthirsty is one way of describing the crew as they approach the end of their tenure. A little too bloodthirsty. And besides, the new Queen doesn't really like the idea of admirals establishing their own personal backwater empires. So the Conqueror has a new mission.

1: Meet resupply ship in Sheff Cloud, prepare for additional 6 months heavy combat.
2: Contact BlackOps scout near 1142, gain tactical and strategic data on new sector.
3: Conquer 257 sector before Dontgonearthere.

System ID452345, SecY57, Q3

The Pestilence slid slowly into the system, in fact it was going quite fast, but the sheer size of the vessel caused it to appear to be traveling rather slowly. DNS Pestilence was one of the first four Piledriver class ships, the 'four horsemen' as they were called, because they were the largest, deadliest, most high-tech ships in the entire fleet, thanks to a modular design that kept their weapons in top condition. They cost a fortune to build and maintain, but it was more than worth it to have something this deadly in reserve.

"Admiral, we are in orbit around Rhyss IV. All ships report weapons ready, and the troopships say that they are standing by. Shall we begin?"
"Excellent, Captain. Tell the ships to take out their satilites, these fools seem to think that they can defeat us with a microwave beam."
The Pestilence's shields were almost constantly glowing. The planet had apparently planned for some kind of invasion, and these primitive 'lasers' were their weapons.
Unfocused microwave beams were not much of a threat to a 30 kilometer battlewagon designed to take a hit from a nuclear weapon that could destroy a small continient.
"Aye, sir. Fire control, take out the satilites!"
The Piledrivers many MIG (Multiple Independant Gun) turrets quickly focused on the satilites, each turret mounted eight pairs of guns, each pair capable of taking on a differnt target, or focusing on a single target. In this case there were only a few satilites, and they were quickly dispatched.
"Alright, commence the main bombardment, make sure to leave the big cities alone. We want some people to 'liberate', remember."
"Aye. Fire control, signal the fleet. Commence main bombardment, military targets only."

Down on the planet things suddenly went from bad to worse.
The day had started out with a huge ship appearing in the sky, clearly visible in the daylight in the reflected sunlight.
Then the ship had started firing on all the navigation satilites in orbit, and THEN it had started to blast everything on the ground, turning entire towns into smoking craters of glass in a single blast.
Once the fire had stopped more ships had come, appearing high in the sky and descending in streaks of fire. From these had poured horrible beings in black armour, followed by a seemingly endless supply of pasty white creatures in body armour of some kind. The pasty ones were easy to dispatch, but there were so many of them that it was impossible to take them out, and the big black ones were seemingly unstoppable, even antitank rockets didnt stop them unless you hit the little joints.

Soon enough the planet had been pacified, its occupants dead or enslaved, and the few guerillas were being chased into the mountains or 'proccessed' by the SpecOps interogators.
"That went well, sir. I beleive that is some kind of record. Under two days for a class five civilization."
"Bah, they could hardly fight in any case, their best fighters were all using axes and swords. If they had givin' them guns or something with a bit of range it might have been a challenge."
"Indeed."
"Thats indeed, SIR"
"Aye, sir."
"Better, now go see if my coffee is ready."

This part would be good fun for the Marines, as conquering and sperading their DNA were two of their favorite pastimes.

Upon the reciving of the GDA message the PSN has dispatched all ships that are closest to the 257 sector.
Currently the lead ships for the PSN forces is the PSN Future Perfect a Hell class super cruiser.

At one of the unlucky worlds in the 257 sector
All eight ships defolded in perfect foration. The first salvo was being prepared when the message was sent.
This is the PSN Titan battlegroup.
By the order of the GDA your world is now it's property.
Surrender now and none shall be harmed.
Resist and...well we will be having fun for a while.
You have one hour to comply.

OCC:The ships dispatched are as follows:
2 Supercruisers cannon class
4 Supercruisers assualt class
1 Destroyer Shadow class
1 Supercruisers Hell class
Crazed Marines

The three fleet battlegroup set sail, or whatever its called for space. Each battle group consisted of:
*1500 Asguard motherships
*200 Super Star Destroyers
*2000 Imperial Star Destroyers
*2 Sniper Class Battleships
*5000 Omega cruisers
*15000 various Corvettes
*17 New Exodus made carriers filled to the brim with fighters and bombers
*30 Prototype Graviton Destroyers
*10 million Marines
*Over 30 million Space Corps

The First Fleet also had one major advantage, it had a Super Death Star which was capable of destroying a class 4 planet while only using 5% of reactor output. All of these ships were using graviton skip drives to go anywhere in the galaxy ten times faster than normal hyperspace could imagine. General Joe Kowalski was inside the Super Death Star, approperiately named the CMS Pyrus (Latin for Fire). The flagships of Fleet Two and Three were both Sniper class Battleships named the CMS Jackjumper (2nd Fleet, named after a Tazmanian ant that can kill a man with a single sting), and the CMS Siafu (3rd fleet, named after the most deadly ant in the world, which can strip a man to the skeleton within hours). All three Fleets went in seperate directions, their own AI constructs taking care of most of the internal work and automated tedious functions to where they were nominal stations. Fleet One, the "Devil Dogs" sailed for Sector 257 to link up with GDA forces. Fleet Two, the "Hell Warriors", went to Sector 954 to clear up a possible hostile alien species. Fleet Three, the "Crusaders", was dispached to the Charon system in Sector 399 to conquer a threat level 7 human society that was mixed in with what appeared to be T'wileks and a strange alien bug. The men would love R&R there.

The DGNT fleet, in the meantime, had moved off to...somewhere else. Of course a small contingient of the lighter sorts of ship had been left behind in case the locals got...restless.
Currently it was en-route to a large binary system, nearly twenty planets of varying sizes, including two double planets. Interestingly, five of these planets were inhabited by intelligent life, and a small intra-stellar trade had sprung up between the planets.
Currently one such ship was on its way from Zygflgrnar to Xijfljermanr, a relativly short trip that only took about six months.
"Sir, strange readings off the...whats that side called?" The ships first mate and sensor officer bubbled at its captain.
"Dunno, Im sure we have some needlessly complicated word for it. Anyway, whats wrong with it?"
"I dunno...it looks like its goi-"
The first mate was interrupted when a five kilometer long battleship materialized in front of them. At their current crusing speed stopping was impossible, so the crew died from sudden lack of molecular cohesiveness brought on by an shield rated to block about 25 concentrated megatons of force focused on a single point. Needless to say a small shuttle spread out over about five meters was not much trouble.

"We have dropped out of hyperspace, Admiral. No resistance from the locals, although the Hobbes reports that some sort of shuttle impacted on the starboard shield."
"Heh...perhaps the locals are descended from the Al-Khalians...crazy bastards that they are."
"Indeed sir, never trust anybody wearing a towel."
"Theres no need for racism, captain."
"Aye, sir. Cant stand racists sir, hate 'em all."
"Really? I've never liked the Strategic Isles fellows. Darks skin AND a funny accent."
"Aye, cant stand 'em, sir."
"I thought you said you couldnt stand racists."
"...damn."

The fleet moved quickly though the system, simultaneously occupying four of the five habitable planets and dropping off colonists and terraforming equipment.
The fifth planet was proving to be troublesom though, the locals (a human offshoot that was about three feet tall and green.) were apparently experts in any sort of stealth warfare you cared to name, and were proving devastating against the massed assault tactics currently in use by the Dontgonearthere military.
The answer to this particular problem, as to every other problem, was to apply lots of very expensive force.
At this point the sleek black dropships of the SpecOps descended on the planet, moving across the sky like sleek black dropships.
AS they moved across the surface of the planet they released a number of crates, each of which contained a small grey sphere about six inches across.
On impact these shattered, destroying the cooling equipment that kept the RNCS contained.
The spheres immidiatly siezed upon any local metals, taking them apart and producing more nanites, growing in size until everything nearby was consumed. They immidiatly moved upon local settlements as the largest cocnetration of usable resources.
The result was, for the natives, catastrophic. Bullets had little or no effect as the creatures continued to grow in size, forming various weapons or taking them from the locals. One or two were taken down by a lucky shot from an anti-tank weapon, but the rest managed to flatten everything fairly well, killing everything that moved as well.
Over the next few days the population of the planet was reduced to about a quarter million natives. No humans were present because RNCS was notoriously omnicidal, IE: It killed EVERYTHING, including supposed allies. Friend-or-Foe software was determined to be 'not cost-effective", and consequently left out.
After the week long killing orgy the bots were eventually turned off, freezing them in position.
Once they were recovered by the occupying force the recovered nanites were melted down (except the 'core nanites' that made up the original weapon) for the materials and the spheres were placed in new crates.

Aboard the CMS Jackjumper

"Admiral. We have reached the target location. We are currently in the Adonis system."

"Very well Ensign. Scan the planets and hail the most advanced one."

"Aye sir. Scanning shows the Fifth planet is both the most advanced and best suited to human habitation."

"Good..." Admiral Chimitz said aloud, "Tell them that they have exactly one hour to surrender or be destroyed. If they don't surrender, glass every city with more than fifty thousand lifeforms in it. If thy fire, glass the entire planet. If they destroy one of my ships, use the Jackjumper's railcannon to drive a neutronium bullet through the core of the planet. Understood?"

"AYE AYE ADMIRAL!" The ensign said, hoping that the bastards would shoot first. One hour later, the alien species fired upon the battlefleet and a small corvette took the brunt of the blasts. It exploded, killing its five of its fifty crew. The rest made it to the escape hatch and were teleported to a SSD. The Admiral was playing a game of Halo 3 when this happened and paused the game. He went back to the bridge and was angry.

"When's that cannon gonna be ready?" He asked furiously.

"We're turning the fleet now! Main charge loaded, power ready. Preparing to fire. Firing in 5...4...3"

"Just push the damn button son. You don't have to be that dramatic!"

"Yes sir. Bullet away!" As the Ensign said this, a powerful railgun fired a neutronium slug 1/1000 mm in diameter while the main engines hit full power. This "bulet" was enough to slice through the planet's core with relative ease. Then, due to the planets gravity, the bullet returned before leaving the atmosphere. It bounced around like that for some 97 times, leaving the planet literally full of holes. Large chunks of the now-devoid-of-life space rock started floating away. However, some chunks had humans (of all species) in some sort of bunker sealed to everything. These humans (about two million in all) were brought aboard the ships. The women were given as war brides to some of the unmarried officers, while the men were starting to be indoctrinated into the CM Military (starting with the mind chips). The fraternization with the conquered women had begun.

Aboard the CMS Siafu

The Crusaders were ten minutes out from the Charon system when the 2nd Fleet was first engaged. There were a few sentient species in Charon, but only one was capable of FTL travel. The rest were just primitive brutes ready to be subjugated. The massive CM fleet was met with a hail from the homeworld of the advanced species. What looked like a golden squid with four mandibles where its mouth should be started out.
"Wortwortwort!"

"Translate!" Admiral Chelsea screamed, "Sheilds Up to full power. Tatical Alert!" Klaxons started to blare when the translator AI came to life.

"Admiral," The AI stated, "This species is called a Covenant Elite. It is the more or less lifeblood of what is called the Covenant. This guy's pissed because we warped into what appears to be their homeworld. They tell us to lower our shields or be destroyed."

"Threat?"

"Ten percent chance they will even do damage to most of our shields. They only pose a threat to fighters and corvettes."

"Alright. Isolate the signal and their orbital defense and fire one salvo onto those targets. Then give them our terms for surrender."

"Aye sir, Salvo one fired, terms sent! Salvos have landed. Targets destroyed."

"Good..." Admiral Chelsea said, "Fire another salvo every hour on the hour until they surrender. Target their largest cities first, then the smaller ones."

*three hours and three cities later*

"Admiral. The Elites have surrendered. Their planet is ours. Reports are coming from the other ships of increased activity on the other planets. Apparently this entire system was controlled from that planet and the system has become ours."

"Excellent. Relay our news back home." Admiral Chelsea said as he was wondering what to do with the Elites and those little bastards they controlled. Well, a new form of soldier was always accepted by command as a victory.

OOC: Somebody needs to eithe RP as the defenders, or be opposed to us. in fact, we definately need to conrtract a bunch of people to be on the other side of the conflict.

"Ahh, five inhabited planets in as many days. If I'd known 257 was this heavily populated five years ago, I'd have asked for it to be my target."

"Admiral, reinforcements will be meeting us at the next system, we've been asked to make sure its safe for them to enter, then the transports will drop in."

"All right... has whatever passes for a government down there capitulated yet?"

"No sir. They seem to want us to come down there for a face-to-face."

"Start hitting their suburbs with BNA rounds- one every five seconds. That'll loosen their signing claws. They'll be willing to sign away all their rights within the next half hour, or we'll glass the whole thing. We need to get to the next target quickly. I hear it could actually be a tough one, and the men need a good fight."
