A rainbow of hues dance across the twilight sky in the People's Republican District of Dovakia. The seafoam gurgles on the pink beaches as the night owls of Dovakhan come out to play.
The setting is an austere grey building situated on the outskirts of Justika (OoCJudicial Capital of the PR of Dovakhan). Within its metre-thick walls, a prisoner is led down his last kilometre. His weathered olive skin gleams in the artificial light, with his grey eyes pointed straight ahead, to his fate awaiting him at the end of the corridor. He thinks back upon his life, the finery, the corruption.
This man ruled an Empire of millions of subjects. He comanded great respect in his day, but now he is merly a shadow of a bygone age.
He turns the corner to meet face-to-face will a small glass door. This door has been left unopened for 10 years. This door holds in it the final breath of many people, the execution chamber. Execution has since been outlawed in Dovakhan. The death of the Emperor represents the death of this barbaric practice, for he is the last. The Emperor, now 95, will come to his end in the very room where many of his subjects suffered for petty crimes, like publishing a newspaper. The former Emperor is suffering the consequences for the deaths of many by his hand.
The Emperor lays down on the table. A doctor rolls in a cart containing four needles, on containing the fatal poison. The doctor procedes to inject the fluids as orderlies hold down the Emperor. The deposed ruler takes a final sigh, and dies.
OoC: Dovakhan was ruled by an Emperor for 1000 years, followed by a communist revolution, a military dicatorship, an imperial revival, a republic, and now a people's republic. This emperor was from the original empire. The current person sitting on the Imperial throne is a figurehead elected by the people of the Imperial city of Apolisitiana, he is a distant cousin of the Emperor
The Emperor was tried and found guilty of more than 1000 counts of murder, being the leader, this also means high treason. The death penalty was reserved only for the emperor and was the last execution held in Dovakhan
