Taken from the Haitensberg Times:
The End of An Era- An article by George Schavo
Today, at 4. 53pm exactly, the baying crowd of Haitensbergian nationals stood in bated breath as the fat, waddling, gout ridden figure of the former queen, Catherine, made her way to the execution stand. It was a far cry from her glory days, when her porcelain like cheeks were fresh with rouge, and her proud head was crowned with an equisite wig and equally marvelous Crown.
Today, however she looked tired and upset, obviously confused as to why the people had revolted and sent her scream, ing from her palce. Dressed in simple peasants clothing, her bald, wigless head lulled by the rain, she stood in fear as her crimes were read out.
Her Crimes were:
1: Ignoring the Communist Movement
2- Allowing foreigners into the nation
3- Enforcing her views on others.
But this reopter belives that Queen Catherines only crime was allowing capitolism to flourish. However, no amount of sympathy could save her from her fate. For, as the new dictator President Fidella Lelistein looked on, Queen Catherine, locked in a prayer, lay her chubby face onto the executioners block and met a swift end from the tip of an axe.
The crowds spilled forward to chant communist messages, one man even urinated on the head of the queen, another simulating a sexual act. I find it most dispariging to see a great woman who bought trade and industry to her people to be treated in such a way.
