Serpent Country diplomatic attache Circling Jade squinted at the obsolete computer monitor, reading through a copy of the Guide to Freetruth. The ministry of Foreign Affairs had naturally translated it into Serpentian, one of Serpent Country's several major languages.

"Ah... Bible bangers." she announced. "But they don't seem to be too bad."

Serpent Country was largely a pagan nation, and native Serpentians were generally suspicious of the larger monotheistic religions, finding them creepy and weird. On the other hand, Serpent Country was also a tolerant nation, and it's citizenry generally held good feelings toward any nation that wasn't a brutal dictatorship. As was, Freetruth was not a brutal dictatorship, and seemed generally to be a pleasant enough place. At least they didn't have bloated taxes and a pervasive crime rate, like Serpent Country always seemed to have.

Summoning up the English version of a standard diplomatic letter, Circling Jade filled in the appropriate blanks.

The Regal Commonwealth of Serpent Country extends peaceful greetings to the Confederacy of Freetruth. May we both prosper well in peace and harmony, and benefit in mutual exchange.

Enclosed is an attached pineapple basket in a cozy pink towel, as a gift to your government. Also attached is a plush-toy plumed serpent, the national animal of Serpent Country. This plush-toy represents the good will and peaceful intentions of Serpent Country.

If your government permits, we would wish to establish a diplomatic embassy within your borders, as well as a consulate to facilitate travel and trade betwen our nations.

Serpent Country had a very open policy on immigration and emigration, although Circling Jade wasn't sure how much trade would go between Freetruth and Serpent Country. Freetruth was in the Western Hemisphere and Serpent Country was in the southern Indian Ocean.

In exchange, we will be more than happy to grant you an embassy within our Home Islands, as well as an appropriate consulate. Should you desire an embassy, a plot of land will be made available in our capital of Port Symphony, and a suitable structure shall be constructed to your specifications.

Sedius blinked several times. /A Bible nation? How fascinating!/

The Nation of Freetruth had been summarized in the local media, and everyone's interest was pipqued- including the royal family's.

Which explains, of course, why the girl'd blinked. It wasn't often that her country so quickly responded to other nations' offers. They did so about as often as Sedius was treated as a commoner by her half-sister, the Crown Princess. ..Like now.

Her thoughts trailed off as she sat down at the typical scribe's desk where she did most of her work.

'Quickly, quickly! I haven't time to waste waiting on you, you silly, useless girl!', cried the Crown Princess, Emite.

'Yes, Your Highness. Right away. What shall I tell them?'

'You shall write..', and the Crown Princess trailed off, dictating to Sedius exactly what to write.

While the volume of coffee this company can export is small, you will find that the quality is second to none.

The Happy Gravediggers Mining Syndicate and Amenhotep Incorporated, two major quarrying companies based within our isles, wish to begin the export of stone. Quarried from the dried lava flowes of our Home Islands, both of these companies offer granite, basalt, obsidian, and other varieties of igneous stone.

In addition, the government of Serpent Country would like to export salt. A good portion of our drinking water comes from desalinization plants, and we are happy to export massive, massive quantities of salt for a reasonable price.

The Sultanate of Gruenberg would be interested in an exchange of embassies with Freetruth. We await your reply eagerly.

The Dominion Is interested in setting up an embassy in the nation of Freetruth. Our Foregin Affairs Minister has dispatched Mr. Grey, and his 20 bodyguards as well as 30 staff members to man the building.

The Embassy itself will be a cluster of small, square, concrete buildings. There will be one larger house as well, for Mr. Grey. The other three buildings will be

1) A garrison/armoury/bunker for the Bodyguards
2) An Office building, to handle all the buisness and paperwork that comes up
3) A small, one story, meeting house. The structure holds four meeting rooms and a courthouse.

There will be three vehicles parked in an underground lot below the garrison. One will be a short black car, with (obviously) buletproof glass and renforced sides for the Embassador, one large black van, with the same armour configuration as the car, and a black SUV with a small machine gun mounted in the back, on a turret so the it can fire out the back and both sides.


Also, Foregin Affairs Minister Mr. White extends an offer to you, so that you may construct your own Embassy in Capital City 01, the center of Pudite government.

The Democratic Republic of Fatus Maximus is interested in entering into an alliance with Freetruth, as well as exchanging embassies. We recommend you read The Fatus Maximus World Factbook (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=430187) to learn more about our country. Our requirements for an embassy in your nation are very modest- one Ambassador, three or four assistants, two inept unarmed guards, and one 1987 Oldsmobile. Our ambassador also requests that there be a mini-bar in his office and that the embassy itself be located within walking distance of an International House of Pancakes.
