Branadian Imperial Palace:

Lord Solar stared out the window of the Imperial palace, thinking...

"My Lord?" Solar turned and nodded to the slim woman at the door,

"General Victoria?" she smiled faintly.

"The troops are prepared my lord, we have the 3rd Branadian Army on standby"

"And DRAGON?"

"They are prepped and approching the insertion point"

"Tell them they are a go, code Green"

"Yes sir"


10,000 feet above the Kazakh Provinces civilian aircraft:

"Alright ladies! the code is green! are you ready?!" the black suited, visored specialists nodded, "Then lets go! to the hatches!" They assended the cargo elevator, Ten soldiers in matte black kit.

As they stepped into the passenger area the passengers, stared in shock, a woman screamed, a baby began crying.

"Hi folks, don't mind us, we are just hre to help take over this lovely country, and your plane will help us do that", more screams answered him.

"We won't just sit here and let you do that!" a man rose, the gunshot was shockingly loud in the confined space, the 9mm round pitched the man over the chair behind him, blood splattered the ceiling, wall, and passngers.

"Any other hero's?" no response, "Good" the cabin door openned, shock on the co-pilots face was evident,

"What the...??" the leader casually threw his knife; all ten inches of black steel buried itself in the mans throat. The team stormed into the cockpit, where the pilot was desperately yelling into the radio,

"Help! we are..." he stopped as a female soldier pulled it from it's grasp and pointed a handgun at him, a sniper rifle was slung across her back,

"Sorry" she purred, "You've be diconnected" she fired, blowing him back against the side window, she nodded to another soldier who pressd a button, an engine exploded, she held the reciever to her mouth, "Help" we've lost an engine, it just exploded!" the pilot and the co-pilot were hurt by the blast, we had shrapnel in the cockpit!"

"How badly hurt are they?" asked the radio operator,

"I don't know" she injected more panic into her voice, "Help us!" she place a small device on the stick, small robotic arms attched themselves to it. "Look out!" she screamed, and smashed the radio, another engine exploded.

"Let's bail" she said, moments later, the escaped the plane, leaving the damaged plane bearing down on the airport.

Crap.....

From the control tower, the Air Traffic Controllers could see the aircraft bearing down, its flames lighting up the foggy, night sky. It was highly unusual for an aircraft to spontaneously crash...even with a lost engine they could still fly.

But it was obvious this one wasn't going to. The mergency alarm was sounded, as the aircraft smashed into the ground at hundreds of knots, exploding and sending shrapnel flying around a mile radius. Every fire unit in the airport streamed across the taxiways to the burning wreck, along with multiple medical units. At best, these would be used to indentify the bodies....

The airports security platoon sped towards the sight in their 5 ton truck, to asses exactly what had happened. Shoot downs had occured before, while the aircraft were on final approach.

An immediate message was sent to the Kazakhstaniania Aerospace Authority, Military HQ and Ministerial Building:

There has been a major crash in Sudma International Airport. The aircraft was from an unknown country, but undoubtedly flying a scheduled flight. There are no survivors, as the aircraft was flying low when a total flight failure occured.

We are investigating the cause, but it is without doubt going to take time...

Things like this did. there would be a flat out investigation at first, but then it would dissappear into the background.....

The commando's landed softly, watching the airport,

"Woo, look at that baby burn!" said Viper watching the blaze,

"Demo specs" Sighed Fox, their sniper, "You are obviously a former arsonist, we just killed over a hundred people.

"Ah screw em, they weren't our people"

Fox just stared,

"Come on team let move out to meet our contacts, Viper, blow the drone"

Inside the blazing remnants of the cockpit the dron controller still barely held together, its legs shattered, only one leg remained intact, its tough carpace was losing integrity, its base circitry activated, detonating the small but potent C4 stash in its belly.

Another explosion rocked the aircraft, flipping up the cockpit. The fire crews were a distance back, tackling the blaze from a distance. Fireballs were known to be formed from vaporising fuel cells.

The military platoon combed the area around the body. They didn't really expect to find much, maybe a few bits of body. It was a gruesome task. They returend to the burning wreck, to smoke cigarettes and pass the night away.

The airport had temporarily been closed, and an investigation launched. Various ministers had made mental notes to make speeches on the subject, but the military HQ just deleted the message. It was none of their concern.

As the DRAGON's moved forward, Imperial Command watched the signal burn,

"That's the signal Mam, the airport is ablaze" General Victoria leaned forward, a predatory grin on here face, "Inform the spearhead forces, that they are to take the city as quickly and bloodlessly as possible, If Commander Dante drags this out, I will have his head"

"Yes Lady General" the aide bowed and left the room, Branadian heavy troop planes crossed into Kazakh airpace moments later, several sqaudrons from the BIN Devestation Super Heavy Carrier, escorted them in, preparing for ground attacks.

Staff Sargeant Watson woke up and clicked the radar scan button on his console. Technically, he was on high alert, but high alert usually meant one person per console, rather than the usual none. He would wake up from his snooze every now and scan the radar. There had been nothing for the last twelve scans, why now?

However, this time was different. The screen lit up with contacts, large and small, though mostly small. He slammed his fist on the emergency button, big and red, and armed the missiles of his two batteries. There should be twelve people there, he was the only one.

Crap...

Up and down the defensive lines, bells rang out and men pounced on their consoles, wondering if this was another hoax. They too saw the contacts, but many batteries took up to ten minutes to switch on.

It ook a painstaking five minutes for the command clearance to engage came through, and even then the missiles only went off in trickles. It took two minutes to fire forty missiles, and another three to fire the remaining thirteen.

Salambik Air Base

It took twelve minutes to scramble two jets. Twelve minutes. The two F/A-41 jets ascended to the skies, carrying eight long range air to air missiles each. This force was a long time coming, however. It took them almost ten minutes to get within missile range and fire off their missiles, before closing in to engage. They didn't expect to last long.

Another wing of three took off five minutes later, with the same load. This would take a while, thought command.

OOC:

Basically, the defenses are taking ages to mobilize, and there is no significant air force in the area. This should be fun.

OOC:Tiny missile barrages are low threat to veterans, to much time to get away, especially when your barely in range

"All planes, weapons free, pepare to engage" the plots watched their radars, Shadow 1 noticed the barrage first,

"All planes, incoming missiles, break, break, break" the fighters scattered, deploying flares ad other countermesures, the SAM's were spaced to far, and had been fired prematurely, most becoming confused by the cuntermesures, one however shot straight through the cloud, heading for the command aircraft.

"Oh crap!" Shadow 1 dove back under the command plan, straight beside the missle, afterburners lit, the missile swung, missing the plane by inches, the F-18's missile alarm screamed,

"Shadow 1 you have a missile, what do you think you're doing?!" yelled Shadow 7,

"Shut up!" Shadow 1 pulled the plane up then dove hard, the missile was less than tree meters away, white knuckled Shadow 1 snap rolled the plane, wincing at the sound of the screaming metal of the wings, the g-force punched him in the head almost causng him to grey out, the missile had to take a longer route do to its higher speed,

"Shadow 1 come about" came a call, he hauled on the stick, Shadow 7 was flying straight at him, "Dive!" she yelled and fired, the heavy tracers of the cannon shot over his head as he dove, the missile exploded violently shaking the two planes violently, Shadow 1 bashed his head on the console, and came away with a bloody nose,

"Thanks, I think"


The vengful planes dove on attack runs, firing as quickly as they got locks, targeting AA, SAM's, and radar facilities, the remaining planes began escorting again, engaging the enemy fighter screen by pairs.

OOC: I know.

IC:

KP's AAA arrangement was shattered in seconds. Only the best hidden SAM's dodget the attack, the rest shattered. Only two batteries remained, which were being frantically reloaded by their crews.

The fighter screen dove and rolled trying to get a shot ontheir opponenets, though the first two were nailed by missiles. The remaining three were more experiences pilots, who knew how to fight. They closed to well within range before firing their missiles, and did a large climb to get the drop on the enemy.

By this time Fighter Command had found out, and the whole of Fighter Corps, around 360 aircraft, was being summoned to the fight. This would take around a week, however. They didn't have a week.

The Army troops on the ground began to prepare for assault, diggin in on the cities suburbs and preparing their defenses. 1st Army was being mobilized for Balkinir, but this too would take time. It reminded command of Russia in WW2 - it would take great amounts of time to swing the military into action.

(( not to be annoying, but your way off about WW2 Russia. The germans expected them to take more than 6 weeks to prepare, but the Russians mobilised in something rediculously fast. I think it was 10 days but, but my history isnt fantastic by any standards ))

Whole squadrons began slipping past the immense dogfight and tracking the trajectory of the fighters entrance, attacking air bases, airborne craft, or any aircraft on the ground. Whole squadrons expended their air-to-ground missiles upon moments of finding these bases. A second Ultra clas Carrier, the Dominator arrived, te deployment of more squadrons was supplimented by the surfacing of Retribution class submarines, four of them had arrived, the Retribution , the Headstong, the Dominion, and the Raptor. The specialist subs opened their outer stabalizers and launched a squadron each of Harrier NICE's they flew towards to supplement the Norad class Super Battleships Bombardment of the port of Atryau, Three infantry divisons and a tank division under Colonel Campell began an assault landing of the city as the barrage pounded on likely defensive areas.

Onboard the Command plane General Victoria watched the city of Mismosk twinkle in the night, she touched the radio,

"All forces begin combat drop"

Ok, its cool. I meant that it took them a while to organise an effective counterattack.

Also, can we just say that your naval forces are approaching Atryau? I have a massive naval presence there that would speed out to engage, aswell as many coastal defenses.

Also, the nearest airbase is around a hundred miles away, hence the long travel time.

IC:

The naval presence in Atryau was staggering, but took a while to get organised. The QRF Carrier Group, one of two, consisted of the Carrier Defiant, several battleships and a destroyer squadron. This was launched within hours of the attack. At the same time, four of the navies Akula class attack submariens departed, ready to engage the enemy fleet. The air presence in Atryau, a Naval Attack Air Corps, was readied, waiting for the fleet to approach (this is why I need prior warning).

In the south, two civilian airfields that were holding various Cessna's and a couple of military transports were totally destroyed, and were prevented from working at all. The cities AAA began to open up, automated Flak turrets bed by various sensors, all part of the almost unjammable new ECO system.

Unfortunately for the attack forces, Mismosk was the centre of the Kazakh Provinces Air Corps (sorry, unlucky), which had just been mobilized. This meant that over one hundred fighters were readying for take off to various bases around, all with combat loads.

Most aircraft were F/A-41's, but there were occasionally the new, stealth F-47 "Sharkishki" Fighters and various AWAC's aircraft. As soon as they took off the began firing barrages at the enemy attacking air force, and closed in for an overwhelming dogfight.
