Overview

The F-6 was built to replace the F-3, which after fourteen years, was nearing obsolescence. Although the F-3 was never used in combat, it was clear to the top brass in the Nihon Kooku that the F-3 could no longer maintain superiority against the high performance aircraft of world's best aircraft. As a result, several aerospace companies answered the call for the next generation fighter. In the end, the Aichi design was chosen for its survivability. Although not as maneuverable as some of its contemporaries, the F-6 is more likely to be able to "find first, shoot first, kill first."

The Suzumebachi is armed for close and medium range combat. In order to make up for its maneuverability, the AAM-3 off-boresight missiles are used to negate any turn radius advantage that other aircraft might have. AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles are the medium range missile of choice for the Suzumebachi. The GAU-12 Equalizer Cannon is an upgrade from the M61 vulcan, sporting 25mm rounds as opposed to the M61's 20mm.

The F-6 features a brand new electronics suite. Using brand new AESA radar, it can track up to 35 targets in the air. Brand new flight control system, ESM and countermeasures ensure that this aircraft will outlive most other aircraft in a dogfight.

The F-6 utilizes composite skin and radar absorbing paint to reduce its RCS to the size of a small insect. The exhausts are shaped to reduce its thermal signature. The F-6 stealth is so great, that the enemy is forced to use its active radar features to detect it.

In combat simulations, the F-6 scored greater than a 6:1 ratio against F-22 Raptors.
