After the recent "War" if you can even call it that ended, Sephrioth requested a diplomatic approach to THLs nuclear Programme, well we're always up for that. We will wait and see when and where Seph wants to hold the said talks.

Several representatives of THLs government, along with dozens of Royal Marines waited around. Since Sephy had not said where they wanted the talks, they were just going to sit here and wait.

Oh, now that's so not neutral ground. Nothing says "Diplomatic" like offering to conduct peace-talks on a combatant vessel filled with armed personnel from one side.

"I'm curious. Having followed the more recent events between THL & Sephrioth, I would actually quite enjoy being in a position close enough to follow the 'Diplomacy' between your two national entities.

"As such, I wonder if it would be possible for me to attend the negotiations, of course purely on an observer basis. I would be exceptionally pleased and in your debt if you wuld agree to me attending the negotiations, and indeed, I would hope (Though I can of course not guarantee) that I can even be helpful, should some sort of particularly controverse point strain the patience of the two main participants, that is, you and THL.

Of course, Francis needed the agreement from both sides. As such, a second message was quickly sent to THL.

"Thus, while admitting to be a somewhat curious person, I wonder if it would be possible for me to attend the negotiations. Not only do I hope to gain some in-depth knowledge regarding international politics, but I also hope that I can eventually be of actual use (Despite only wanting observer status), should the negotiations be in danger of failure when some particularly controverse topic surfaces.

Next thing to do on the list: Preparing for the journey, should he (Well, it) actually be accepted.

After all, drones like Francis rarely (Actually, never) left their nation. But, well, things were changing all the time, in DA, so why not this particular rule, too? Deterrence was sufficient with him, anyway.

To this, the royal marines replied. "Nah. We'd prefer to keep them out incase you try any funny buisness."

Hrm. I suppose that this was a positive reply. In any case, I would note that it's Francis (Official Designation: NSD 2215/04 'Five-Seventeen'), not DA. The actual DA administration doesn't give a damn, courtesy of the ongoing civil war, tactical nuclear exchanges, losing the missile defence grid and other, minor things. They're already busy.

Back in DA (Coral Island, to be correct), Francis begun collecting the necessary equipment. The more recent decisions regarding pre-sensate compensations proved to be considerably useful, and as such, it didn't take too long for him to get what he wanted (For example a linked floaty unit to travel inside narrow corridors. He was a little too bulky to risk not fitting into Sephrioth' hallways) and, eventually, a flight (Expensive, that, given that there was no 'normal' air ravel between DA and Seprioth, or even more to the point, its superfortress).

Now all he needed was a go-ahead from Sephrioth.

It took several hours for the message to actually reach Francis, as Sephrioth had clearly been incapable of properly addressing the individual that was actually interested in the negotiations.

Well, Francis hadn't expected anything better.

Still, it was annoying. And while a hundred metres were certainly good enough...

It wouldn't be especially large, effectively being a disk of 4/3*pi*25cm*25cm*6.25cm. I can guarantee you that it wouldn't disturb you in the least."

Harlack Mensa is willing to host the negotiations between Sephrioth and THL on a beautiful 500-year old estate located just outside the (usually) quiet campus of the Great University of Harlack. We will arrange for transportation from the Greater Harlack DMZ; you need merely arrive and announce yourselves. Any and all observers are welcome.

No weapons of any kind will be permitted. Don't try to smuggle any in. We'll find them. Trust us on this. ;)
