OOC: I am currently looking for two more nations to RP the other lead reporters. Now, for those of you who missed the first version...This is how it works. I will search NS and International Incidents for the most interesting RPs and turn them into news stories. I will invite at least two parties to discuss the issues. Each story will last a few days before I move on. If you wish to have an RP included or feel that you have been excluded from a story concerning you, telegram me. The best stories will be posted on my Regional Webpage. That's all for now, so sit back and watch...

OOC: They work for me.
Oh, and TAG.
I'd contribute, but I'm really lazy on thinking up ANOTHER name for a reporter from my country.

"Tonight we're following the conflict in Manitgnac and to apraise us all on the current situation here is Ivana Ostrovaninska an up and coming news reporter, who is currently a war correspondent, and is covering the conflict in Monitgnac.... good evening Ivana..."
OOC: Sorry for the delay in kicking this off people, but there has been few and far between in the way of noteworthy events lately.
(OOC: TAG and also if you could provide a link to the RP's being mentioned that would be kikass)
Monitgnac
21-06-2005, 21:52
"I'm glad to be here today," Ms. Maxwell. "The crisis in Monitgnac worsens each day for Loyalist and government forces as they fight a seemingly hopeless cause. Loyalist forces are fighting a war against two other factions as the country is gripped by civil war. Rebels in the west, around Port Salem and Foret Sombre, continue to harrass government forces, despite an unannouced ceasefire. In the south, forces led by the renegade Colonel Kolgev tried to push north. Approximately 50,000 to 60,000 Monitgnac troops fight a war against an enemy consisting of around one million soldiers, made up of a coalition of several countries, and another enemy of 40,000 soldiers.
Yet they continue to drive on. Those that do report to duty are ready to die for their country to save their loved ones. To them, the invasion of their homeland is a direct attack on their culture and a soverign nation. They fight to save their familes and loved ones, their culture and lifestyle, and their life. To them, their lives are endangered. They fear the invaders will come and kill their families, ruin their family, and destory an economy. As corrupt as the government may be, it is increasingly seen as the glory of what Monitgnac was, their culture, and that if it is destroyed by faceless foreigners, that there is nothing to live for. Although the following interview clips were not allowed on the state television network, for propaganda purposes, these interviews show the mindset of the common Monitngac soldiers.
[Ivana Ostrovaninska]"Do you think Monitgnac will win this war?"
[Random soldier #1] "No."
[Ivana Ostrovaninska]"Why are you fighting in this war?"
[Random soldier #1] "For my parents, for my girlfriend, for my home and others', for my honor, and for Monitgnac."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Ivana Ostrovaninska]"Some other soldiers say this war is hopeless. What do you say about that?"
[Random soldier #2] "I'd say they're right."
[Ivana Ostrovaninska]"Why fight on?"
[Random soldier #2] "Wouldn't you?"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Ivana Ostrovaninska]"Do you think you are going to be alive at the end of this?"
[Random soldier #3] "Nope."
[Ivana Ostrovaninska]"Why are you fighting this war then?"
[Random soldier #3] "It's a fine day to die. Defending the country and killing the bastards that want to rape our lands for their own benefit in the name of this 'democracy'. They destroy our homes and starve our people and now they want to us to surrender? I spit on them."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Some do not believe in fighting the war. Some do not do this for their country. Some do it because they feel obligated."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Ivana Ostrovaninska] "Sir, how do you feel about this war?"
[A random soldier looks into the camera, almost transfixed at the viewer, obviously stressed and disoriented from the fighting.]
[Ivana Ostrovaninska] "Sir?"
[The random soldier covers the lense with his hand and continues with his head down.]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Ivana Ostrovaninska] "Sir, how do you feel about this war?"
[Random soldier #4] "It sucks."
[Ivana Ostrovaninska]"Do you think you Monitgnac is going to survive to see the end of this conflict?"
[Random soldier #4] "Nope."
[Ivana Ostrovaninska] "Why do you continue to fight the war?"
[Random soldier #4] "I wonder this myself everyday. I guess I don't know."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Either way, as you can see from these interviews, the Monitgnac soldiers will fight onward, despite the obvious defeat they face."
"Now on to the Monitgnac battlefied..."
[OOC: i can't post anything else right now. I'll post later or tomorrow.]
