A Layartebian Greenland?

(LNN) - Sunday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs announced a new plan for the annexation of Greenland to Layartebian authority. The move comes after reports of civil war in Callisdrunian territories following the assassination of the president. Anti-democratic factions, possibly allied with foreign help, has thrown most of Callisdrunian territory into a massive civil war, Greenland being amongst those involved. Some 4,000,000 people live in Greenland, some 70% of which are said to support democracy still.

The government of Squornshelous agrees that the rebel factions in Callisdrun must be stopped before they can do any more harm. However, the government of Callisdrun now under attack from these insurgents was a member of the NPTO Alliance, and as of now we are strongly opposed to the annexation of any Callisdrunian territory by another nation. Discussion amongst the other members of the alliance will be necessary to determine our course of action concerning this rebellion. If the guerilla forces have completely overthrown the government, Callisdrun may be excluded from our alliance, and we would then support intervention in this civil war. Until then, we must request that Layarteb withhold any invasion force, as we do not wish for armed conflict.

OOC: Basicly, what's happening is this: our alliance neglected to write an article concerning decree 12 nations, so by the terms of the alliance, I would be obligated to attack, should you annex Greenland. I am now trying to find a way around this, and will respond here again as soon as possible, hopefully tomorrow.

The Layartebian government, at this time, has only committed a small number of advisors and Special Forces to the area to defend what assets we do have. Callisdrun was a long standing ally of the Empire of Layarteb and we wish them to remain intact. If that means setting up an autonomous republic in Greenland to protect against foreign adversaries then so be it.

The Huahinian Goverment will support any actions by Layarteb to bring stability to our region, and we will supply aid and supplies, and even forces as Layarteb sees fit.

We are concerned about the apparent anarchy that exists in Greenland at this time. With the threat of invasion looming by an ally of the government on the brink of nonexistence, we would like to know your stance on going ahead with the invasion? We take matters of invasions within this area as quite serious due to the proximity of lands and the fact we share borders with your great nation to our north.

We will offer assistance to our great northern neighbor should you be attacked by an alliance that wises to keep you from claiming what you wish. Especially with the stability your nation could interject into the area that is riddled with problems.

We thank the Layartebian government for their concessions in this matter. Hopefully, the Government of Callisdrun can be re-established with help from our nations.

As a fellow member of the NPTO, the Holy Empire of Kreynoria also firmly objects to the occupation of Greenland by Layartebian forces, as Callisdrunian government forces have apparently defeated the insurgent elements and re-asserted itself as a nation.

Alright so was I hasty in declared you D12? If so I can repeal it on the thing. I just haven't seen you around in ages to be honest so you were on the list with the rest of them.

OOC: I just hadn't had time to really set up California yet, because of school and the like. Also, nothing interesting appeared to be happening involving CA. I'm not going away, though.
