Some vehicles come with NBC systems installed (this will be noted in their profile) to provide protection for the crew. If this is not required we can build simpler versions of the vehicles without these systems and knock 5% off the price (before other discounts are applied)
All armour is listed with it’s Relative Homogenous Armour (RHA) value and is tested against KE rounds. The values for HEAT rounds should be approximately 1.5 times bigger. It is averaged out for the entire vehicle (most vehicles will have stronger front armour and weaker rear armour), the rear armour should be around half the average and the front should be approximately double the average value.
All wheeled vehicles are supplied with “run flat” tyres which allows them to function even if their wheels have been hit by fire.

Main Battle Tanks
Lion class type 1 MBT mk. 2 (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y270/dumelow/Challenger1.jpg)
The Lion was the first MBT to be developed by the Royal Armaments Company. Although technology has improved since then the Lion MBT still stands as a multipurpose tank system and is still in service with many nations. This variant has been updated slightly in order to bring it in line with other contemporary tanks. The electronics have been overhauled to match recent developments in that field and the engine set-up has been tweaked slightly to improve performance.

Tiger class type 2 MBT (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y270/dumelow/Challenger2.jpg)
The Tiger class is based on research gathered during development of the type 1 Lion class and is, in some ways, based on it. However this is essentially a new MBT and equals or beats it’s predecessor in almost every category. The armament remains the same but the engine has been extensively refined and upgraded. The 12 cylinder diesel now develops over 1600 bhp and has a 60 km/h road speed. Another improvement on the previous model is the increase in the armour thickness to 1300mm and the change in material to the much tougher Steel/reactive/ballistic ceramics/Chobham combination.

Jaguar 105mm light gun (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y270/dumelow/105mm.jpg)
The Jaguar’s controls are based on an inertial navigation system which enables it to be unhooked and into action in 30 seconds. The system replaces the traditional dial sight and takes into account trunion tilt, without the requirement to level any spirit level bubbles as on previous models. A touch-screen display tells the gun controller when his gun is laid onto the correct target data provided. This enhancement improves the accuracy of the fall of shot to a greater degree of accuracy than possible with the dial sight. This is an airportable weapon which can be underslung on heavy helicopter or carried in a transport plane. Includes towing apparatus to allow for movement into the area by medium-large ground vehicles.

Panther Heavy 227mm mobile rocket launching system (MRLS) (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y270/dumelow/MLRS.jpg)
MLRS is based on a standard APC (tracked) chassis and the system is self-loaded with two rocket pod containers, each containing six rockets. . A single round 'Fire for Effect' (12 rockets) delivers 7,800 bomblets (650 per rocket) and the coverage achieved is considered sufficient to neutralise a 500m x 500m target. The weapon system is range-dependent and therefore more rounds will be required to guarantee the effect as the range to the target increases due to increased scattering of payload. As soon as possible after firing, the vehicle will leave the firing location and go to a reload point, where it will unload the empty rocket pods and pick up a full one, this can be done in less than five minutes. It will then go to a move to a new firing site and retarget the enemey to minimise potential of being sighted. security problems inherent in MLRS's use.
In addition to attack by radar-controlled counter-battery fire, its effectiveness as an interdiction weapon makes it a valuable target for special forces units. Although MLRS will be hidden amongst friendly forces up to 15km behind the battlefield, its firing signature and small crew means you should avoid an actual confrontation with enemy troops as it will stand little chance in a direct short range firefight.

Serpent Mine Clearance Unit
Serpent is an effective minefield breaching system which has been successfully tested by the Lesser Ribenan Army on training exercises. The Serpent has the ability to clear a much longer safe' lane than most other clearance units which are limited by vehicle width. It is also faster to bring into action and far more accurate. It can clear a path up to 230m long and 7m wide through which vehicles can then safely pass. The system works by firing a single rocket from a newly designed launcher mounted on a trailer which has been towed to the edge of the mined area. Attached to the rocket is a coiled 230m long hose packed with one and a half tons of powerful explosive. After the hose lands on the ground it detonates and destroys or clears any mines along its entire length. Trailer mounted Pythons can be towed by most AFVs providing they have a universal trailer attachment point giving your engineers the capability of breaching minefields of great depth
Crew required: 2 (may be from towing unit)
Cost per trailer unit:$70,000

Semi-Permanent Support Buildings
Modular Field Hospital (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y270/dumelow/ModularHospital.jpg)
Mobile, modular and autonomous these hospitals can operate within two hours of their arrival in the theatre of operations. Thanks to a high-tech system integrated in modular containers, the mobile hospital enables medical and surgical teams to operate, resuscitate and provide intensive care to the same medical standards as an infrastructure hospital. Use of international standard 20ft containers assures compatibility with all road, rail, sea and air transport.
The modularity concept permits the size and functions of the hospital to be adapted to the specific requirements of each operational deployment. Extending covered gangways at the ends of each module permit easy movement of personnel between all the medical and surgical modules and tented wards. Every component is modular and can be interconnected to others of the same range. This package should provide everything a standard division would need in terms of medical support in the field until casualties can be evacuated to a regular hospital.
Contents:
2 Intensive Care Modules (100 patients)
2 Surgery Modules (everything needed to set up 2 operating theatres)
10 Covered Ward Modules (500 patients)

Mobile Naval Base (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y270/dumelow/harbour.jpg)
This totally modular and mobile naval base is quick and easy to construct and is capable of being installed anywhere with the correct conditions. All that is required is a fairly wide beach with calm seas (created either by a sheltered location or a makeshift breakwater of large naval craft). The basic structure of the base is constructed by the use of floating harbour modules, these are constructed of a roughly cuboid concrete float of 5cm thickness and enclosing air spaces for buoyancy, on top of this is a standard steel pontoon road to allow transport along the pier. These units are laid at right angles to the beach and jut out into the sea for around 2km to allow even the largest of ships to unload and have telescoping connectors (with 40 degrees lateral twist) to reduce risk of breakage due to inflexibility. They are attached to pierhead units which are anchored securely to the beach, they have telescoping piston legs which can raise or lower the unit by up to 10m to counteract the effects of tides. Finally a permanent breakwater can be established by the use of the breakwater modules. These are floating concrete, buoyant units which are anchored to the sea bed 2.5km out to sea. They work by the entire line of units having a larger natural frequency than the waves and hence interrupting the wavelength. They are connected to each other by 10m or chain to allow for slight movement to avoid breakage, each line of these used reduces the waves height by approximately 50%, so 2 lines would reduce wave height to 25%.
100 breakwater units (enough for 7.25km of contiguous use; don’t forget to leave space for ships to get in and out of the harbour!)
170 Pier Units (enough for 2km of pier)
2 Pierhead units (enough to start 2 piers from shore line)
1 HQ module including computer and communications system (to co-ordinate harbour docking etc. and to control the telescoping of the joints and raising/lowering of the piers)
Price: $750 million

Rhino VI Heavy Tank (Idea by Millerain)
Designed as a mammoth of a tank to suit Millerain’s need for “Can you design a tank for our new Home Defence Unit (HDU). We don't care if it is a very slow moving tank, so mobility is not an issue, but firepower must be superior to all of the current tanks. We will use it protect cities. Slow but deadly is the key. (40 km/h is acceptable). Artillery is not good enough as it can't protect the crew. Of course armour must be very thick and strong too.”

This armoured limousine is the ultimate in exclusive luxury with a high level of safety consciousness. It offers large interior capacity, and are suitable for the highest placed VIPs. This limousine is reinforced to the highest level while still maintaining excellent driving characteristics and performance.
Based on a standard limosine frame the extra steel armour plating is discretely hidden within the bodywork which contains an additional splinterproof layer of ballistic ceramics on the inside to provide additional protection and safety from any shattered interior fragments. The windows consist of 72 mm thick, bulletproof, non-splinter, multiple layer reinforced glass. Despite their weight, driver’s und co-driver’s windows can be lowered by means of a specially designed power windows. the same applies to the sun roof.
Both the drivers cabin and the passenger compartment contain two-way intercom units which enable the vehicle's occupants to communicate with the outside world with the windows closed. An integral alarm siren with it's own battery and an almost breakdown proof construction can be operated from within the vehicle of if damage is caused to it from the exterior. As well as emitting a loud siren sound it attracts the immediate attention of the emergency services via a radio link to the emergency network.
The fuel tank is heavily armoured with the same combination of materials as the rest of the vehicle and is made safe by use of the Explosafe system. The layered, cellular structure of the Explosafe material has a high specific surface area and excellent heat absorption capacity. These qualities work together, to quench rapid burning and absorb almost all of the heat released by a combustion reaction. This results in a vastly increased safety of the fuel tank with most incendiary items failing to cause an explosion.
As a safeguard against explosive charges set to go off when the vehicle ignition or door locks are activated, the central locking system and engine can be activated by remote start system from a distance of more than 200 m. This means that any explosive devices are set off at a safe distance.
Finally the MGs mounted in the vehicle which are entirely retractable (sunroof one can be hidden in a compartment in the vehicles roof, and the co-drivers fires through a retractable plate in the wing of the vehicle and can be concealed in a compartment under his feet) and can be set up within 5 seconds provide an increased level of security and are capable of defending the vehicle for a limited time. In addition severla more of such compartments are concealed about the vehicle and are virtually undectable to any outside source and can be locked shut from the drivers seat or via a hidden panel in the passenger compartment.
This limousine is in short the way to travel in style, amd security. Every vehicle comes complete with a minibar and a widescreen 40" plasma TV as well as complete conference facilities and a video uplink.

Right most of the pictures are up now so the storefront is as good as ready. I have never done a full storefront (i've sold a few systems seperatelybut never a full store) before so if anything here is too expensive/cheap/un-realistic or whatever let me know and i'll change it. We are most grateful for your offer. I am glad the trade relationship between our countries continues to expand. Your technology seems to be exactly what we are lacking, as the Holy Womble did not yet engage in designing our own battle tanks and other, equally complex weapon systems.
On a related note, we have recently initiated (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=9056082#post9056082) another project. If you have any outdated, previous generation technology, we could- for a VERY modest fee- make it battleworthy again.

Dear Sir/Madam, We would be willing to offer you similar terms as Robasia and as your defence budget is currently listed as: $34,373,224,972.80 we would advise you to consider taking the same package. The cost ($23 billion) would leave you around $11 billion left over which would enable you to pay for the upkeep and maintenence of your military or you may consider using the funds to buy more items. The package I gave Robasia gives a well balanced force with a lot of logistics to back it up. Do not forget though that this pacakge does not include some items. Most notably NBC protection. So if going into a particularly vicious war you may consider "improving" your package by purchasing additonal items. However the choice is yours and I leave it in your capable hands.

Red Dragon Flame Cartridge for HWA05F Flame Thrower: 100 000 rounds ($5 million)
Volcano Flame Cartridge for HWA05F Flame Thrower: 100 000 rounds ($5 million)
Fireflash thermobaric grenade for HWA05F Flame Thrower: 100 000 rounds ($9 million)
TOTAL: $958.5 million
In addition, we offer production rights for all ammunition for the HWA05F Flame Thrower and the IRFT-3 Infantry Rocket Flame Thrower, including rounds based on thermobaric explosion technology, thus officially making the Lesser Ribena the first country in the world to which the production rights for our most valuable battle technology have been sold. We do not intend to sell the production rights for thermobaric explosion technology to any other nation, in order to maintain our- and now your- qualitative edge over our potential opponents.
Seeing as in our previous dealings the price for production rights for Shout and Ferret grenade rounds was set at $1 billion, we have set the price for production rights on the entire variety of IRFT-3 and HWA05F ammunition at $6 billion, thus bringing the total cost of the package we offer to 6.585 billion. Additional $1.415 billion will be transferred to your account immediately upon approval of the deal. In addition, we will supply spare parts and initial maintenance services for the Superwombling multi-purpose corvette, as well as the initial crew training, for free, as an added benefit due to your status of a Favored Trade Partner.
May your nation dwell securely in its souvereign land and enjoy peace and prosperity.

We are glad to see your nation return to do business with us after your initial interest. We can confirm the cost of 20 field hospitals will be $7 billion. However these are not small items and can accomodate 1600 casualties and 350 medical staff as well as having 2 fully functioning theatres and an ICU ward, these hospitals can cover many acres of land and are a wise investment for any military who cares about returning men to full health and combat or reserve duty.
We can confirm your order for the following (the montgomery class C&C vehicles are $850,000 each not $8.5 million so the order cost has been reduced):
10 Modular Fuel Distribution Centres - $400 million
20 Field Hospitals- $7 Billion
100 Henderson Armoured Bridgelayers (No.1)- $80 million
10 Montgomery C+C Vehicles- $8.5 Million
9,000 Dragoon Class Armoured Reconaissance Vehicles- $36 billion
Total Cost: $43.4885 billion
To reduce accounting difficulties and given the size of the order we will reduce this price to $43.4 billion. We have accepted your payment and the manufacturing and delivery process has begun.
We regrettably expect that due to the large size of this order and the complexity of the hospitals that the final delivery will take place in approximately 7 NS years (7 RL days). Note that future deliveries will not take as long due to the building of a new assembly plant in Lesser Ribena and the increase in our labour pool.
We eagerly anticiupate your future vehicles order and have taken on extra staff in order to accomodate it more quickly and efficiently.

We thankyou for your enquiry into our products and recognise your need to see used and tested equipment. After discussions with my country's Defence Minister, Admiral Geoffrey Simnett I am pleased to be able to offer you 8 used units. These vehicles have been serving with the men of the 56th (Artillery) Regiment and have seen extensive useage in training exercises over the past 3 years. We regret that we have no items with actual combat experience to offer you as we have not fought in any wars recently. However be assured that these units have been thoroughly tested and have been live fired on many occasions at our training grounds.
As this is a sample order and you have asked for used units that were scheduled for retirement we are willing to offer 8 of these products free of charge instead of at the usual fee. They have been shipped and will arrive at your nation shortly. We hope you will find them useful and efficient in your service and would be pleased to hear from you again in the future.

The final prototypes of the missile launching vehicle have been rpoduced and final details can be made public:
The Mastiff class Anti-Vehicle Missile Launcher
This is essentially a well devoped variant of the standard terrier APC with a twin missile launching system in palce on the roof and with transport capacity replaced by targeting computer sytems (to fire the missiles), more advanced radios (to allow a fire support role), improved IFF systems (for less friendly fire accidents) and ammunition carrying capacity. This system also features slightly heavier armour for more survivability. The system is automatically loaded and there is no need for a specialised loader.

We here at the RAC always strive for better designs and products for sale. in order to improve our range we are going to offer a custom design service. This will be open to any nation who wnat a specific design made up for a particular task and will even make civilian vehicles for you. The terms and conditions are as follows:
1 If you want a new vehicle designing from scratch you must provide the details fo the task it is to preform and some basic ideas for it. We will then design and make stats for it, give you a price and usually a picture as well as produce it for you.
2 If you already have the design we can make stats for it and give you a price and usually a picture as well as produce it for you.
3 If you already have a design and stats etc. We can provide the technical expertise and facilities to produce items for you, so saving your industry and labour force for other projects.
In situation 1 we will design and produce 2500 vehicles for you free of charge and up to 5000 more at 50% off, In addition we will give a 10% discount on others ordered after this.
In situation 2 we will produce 7500 vehicles for you free of charge and up to 15000 more at 50% off, In addition we will give a 20% discount on others ordered after this.
In Situation 3 we will produce 10000 vehicles for you free of charge and up to 30000 more at 50% off, In addition we will give a 30% discount on others ordered after this.
In return for these very favourable terms all that we ask is that we have full production rights for the resultant product and any variants designed.
We feel that this service willa llow those of you with good ideas to solve military problems a chance to show off their ideas and save a lot of money on their production and design costs.
Finally, we will of course print your nation's name as the official deisgner of the product when it is listed on the storefront.

Money will be wired upon delivery as usual. Now we need a different thing. Can you design a tank for our new Home Defence Unit (HDU):
We don't care if it is a very slow moving tank, so mobility is not an issue, but firepower must be superior to all of the current tanks. We will use it protect cities. Slow but deadly is the key. (40 km/h is acceptable). Artillery is not good enough as it can't protect the crew. Of course armor must be very thick and strong too.
We want 10,000 of these tanks in four installments which we will pay seperately. As we have four major cities one unit will be for each. Please tell the total and the installments.

Do you have any bloody idea how thick that armour is?! 600mm for a armoured car! That is nearly 2 feet. That thing would move 5 kmph.
Lesser Ribena
03-08-2005, 15:58
The value given is the RHA (Rolled Homogenous Armour) equivilency value and gives an estimate of the armours protectiveness if it was made out of nothing but solid steel. Steel is not as efficient an armour as modern materials so a modern ceramics/chobham/aluminium armour which may only be around 75mm thick may have a RHA equivilency of 500-600mm.
The RHA value is not the actual thickness but merely exists as a comparison measure.
I think it's on the front page somewhere. Anyway, it's good to have a non-bump post after so long!

In relation to the mobile buildings that you have requested, I might recommend the Mobile Buildings Pack from our packages section. It provides several of all the buildings and comes with a large saving on the RRP price. It does, however, cost $4.5 billion. Your defence budget is listed as $1,852,856,637 per year. We will allow you to pay off the total over a period of time, interest free. We suggest that you pay off the sum over 6 years with $0.75 billion being paid off each year. This will ensure taht you get all the buildings that you could need at a low price and easy to pay. Let me know if you are interested.

The twin 20mm cannon provide a good FLAK style protection against enemy aircraft and is effective up to 40,000 ft. The cannons are fitted in a open turret on the rear of the vehicle and are operated by a single gunner, though the targeting system is mostly autonomous and is linked to the army's air detection system. The large engine and low operational weight allow for a high top speed which makes this unit perfect for convoy protection where other AA systems may not be able to keep up with the pace. The cheap price tag also makes it perfect as a main AA system for developing countries and others on a tight defence budget.

We are preparing are army for any defencive purposes and are looking for an amphibious and land craft that could be used for fast movement of troops and supplies, but also be somewhat protective. no turrets or heay weapons necesary maybe a roof mounted machine gun. The weapons are not as important as the speed and carrying capacity.
we would also like:
Puma Class 8 Wheeled Tank Destroyer-6 at 26.4 million
but our main concern is the transports.

In response to your query about amphibious turretless transports, I can confirm that we are currently working upon a varient of the Barracuda turreted transport. It is good to see new business from The Grand Duchy of Assorted Nibblies and we welcome you onto the international stage. As a new buyer I would be glad to offer you a token 5% discount, but am afraid that I can't provide any more due to the tight profit margins on the package deals. This leaves a total of around $19 billion left to pay. The products will take around 5 NS years (5RL days) to be produced and delivered and we are willing for you to take up to this time to pay for these items on credit.

Lord Cesc
I can gratefully confirm the reciept of your funds ($9 billion). This leaves a total of $10 billion left to pay. Our methods of shipment are to use a fully verified international shipping company called Delta Shipping (OOC: they had a thread around somewhere) they ship alll of our products in containers on cargo ships. The containers are fully marked and labelled as military hardware for attention of the MoD. For the journey it is customary for the cargo vessel to be escorted by destroyers or frigates from the Lesser Ribenan navy. These vessels will provide escorts for international waters only and would not trespass upon Assorted Nibbly territory. I hope these arrangements are suited to your needs.
Yours,

Armament: 40mm main gun (turret), 1 COAX 7.62mm, MG 1 7.62mm AA MG
Engine Power: 10 cylinder diesel developing 600hp
Max Speed: 110km/h
Fuel capacity: 800l
Range: 400km
Price:$3.1 million
NBC: yes
A few notes:
All our vehicles come fitted with run flat tyres as standard.
This vehicle is fordable up to 2.3m depth providing there is a fairly gentle gradient to climb out of the water at the other side.
There is sufficient space inside for 8 men or 3 stretchers and medical staff
The 110km/h speed was only attainable with a seriously large engine size (V10) and the fuel space is as large as safely possible, this does however impact on the vehicles range.
And of course we require a name for the design!
