Random Kingdom

In the past 20 years, Random Kingdom has been subject to a long and painful war, a crippling aftermath, smuggling and a civil war. Now, the sands of time have been turned back, and Random Kingdom has its former government back: the Core Government Model has been recreated and optimised. 2045 - 100 years ago the end of the Second World War brought balance and joy back to millions, and the CDM hopes to do the same, albeit on a much smaller scale, to the citizens of Random Kingdom.
For those who don't know, the CDM was an invention of the 2020s, which made direct democracy a reality for the peoples of RK. Boiling down politics into a series of public votes and crunching the numbers was the simple role the original CDM took, which was then extended to take on basic management roles in state-owned services. Whilst this was received with both good (the AI eliminated hours of paperwork and the like) and bad (the murder of a police officer was attributed to a mistake in the AI's firearm maintenance coding), it stood solid until New Hope fell. But now it's back in an optimized form, and there's a twist.
A team of humans will take up residence in the Core Building and initially detect faults in the AI and patch them. When the technology is available, some may even wire themselves into the network and serve as fully-automated error detection nodes, and the buzzword "thought/mind programming" that is becoming as popular as HDTV was back in the 2000s may see the light of day.
The anarchy situation has finally been resolved and RK can now pick itself up by its bootstraps and carry on. With the merger of Neo RK into the nation, this is just another step on the road to the Future.
