*Sector ZX.5-44134.89, Exploration Zone, Ascendant Map
1091st Gaian Exploration Fleet*
They had explored 72 Star Systems over three months, even during the Isolation, they never stopped. It was something of a good miracle, as much as greater skill and conduct.
The twenty seven vessel fleet, centered around three ISD Mk.II's and a SDF Warship. It was a well stocked fleet. Everything needed to explore and defend themselves.
The former was the goal, the latter was merely planned for.
Then they Folded into the noted Sector, and a Star System indicated as MGA-10003.45/AS on Ascednant charts, and should have been well outside any borders. They were about sixteen Parsecs outside of Humankind Empire Abh territory, and had little true picture of current borders of their enemies. Still, they expected an empty System of six worlds and little else except space particles and such.
The Fleet held station in a System thirty light-years distant, a dead system of one white star and a number of broken down planetoid worlds. Nothing special.
87% of the trip was the same. "When will we get a bit of spice to this trip. There's been nothing since that one squid civilization in MGA-1963002.44./GL. It's like I'm getting borded despite myself."
Admiral Tanya Ward sighed, her two Aides, Captains of two of the ISDs that held station nearby. "Well, careful what you ask for ma'am."
"Yeah yeah, get what you ask for and all that whooey. How long till Fold preperations are complete?"
"Three minutes sir." Admiral Ward sighed. "Alroght. After this next one we head for a Colony World for some major R&R."
"Yes ma'am!" The other captain responds. Ward sighs again.
Three minutes later, the Fleet was ready to Fold. The Admiral was back in form by then. "By the numbers, call it." ..which led to the fleet giving standard call signs and vessel status. Luckily one vessel has recently finished repairs on it's drives, so no major problems were noted this time around.
In fleet repairs had become excellent in skill.
Finally.. "All vessels ready Admiral."
Ward then commands reflexively. "Fold now."
The usual collapsing, gleaming horizontal lines show the Fold of the Fleet. And to their next destination.
And into a war.....

Almost as soon as they Folded in. "SIR!! CONTACTS, SIX POINT VECTORS!!"
Admiral Ward shot up in her seat. "Establish contact and their compliments!"
Unknown, the sudden arrival was getting the same reaction from the unknown party that the Gaians had just jumped in upon. Both sides raced to get contact resolutions, and the 'home side' was already informing their planetary commanders.
Admiral Ward got the gist of it all soon enough. "Sir! Reading ninety two contacts and more unconfirmed throughout the system. I think we jumped in upon a fortefied star system of some kind!"
Ward reacts. "Send out friendship greetings and declare we are 'not' an invasion force. Let's not start a war here."
"Uh... sir..." Ward looks over at a a Comm-Tech. "Say it."
"I... don't think..."
Ward orders any signals sent to her station. She does 'not' like what she hears.
:: ~ Attention unidentified fleet. You have entered on soverigen space and demand your identification, and immediate powering down of all weapons and shields! ~ ::
Ward cocks her eyes. She then orders. "Prepare to Fold us out on emergency measures for the last Fold point. Comm, send the message back of who we are and our intentions. Keep sending till we're blue int he face."
Comm does so... but something very unexpected comes back.
:: ~ You say you are Gaian?
We know that name, and change our stance. You are ordered to stand down and prepare to be boarded. Any attempt to flee will be fired upon without hesitation. ~ ::
Ward really opens her eyes at this. "Who the angelic light? Comm, direct comm from this station now. All vessels prepare for possible hostile action. No drill, repeat...
..now then."
She then opens her comm. ":: This is the Gaian 1091st Exploration Fleet, repeat, exploration. we have not come for any hostile intent. We will leave quickly as long there is no hostile actions. We offer this chance to extend the hand of friendship, and hope to continue further peaceful endeavors. ::"
What comes back makes her feel cold.
:: ~ Peaceful?? After you blatantly prostitute yourselves to those blue haired freaks? No ally of those scum could 'ever' be a friend of the United Mankind! We say again, stand down and prepare to be boarded and taken into custody as prisoners of the United Mankind! ~ ::
Ward stabs back with more anger. ":: I beg your pardon! Who we conduct affairs with is no reason whatsoever to threaten us. And we will 'not' stand down, and we 'will' be leaving very quickly here! ::"
A silent comm line makes Ward look over. "Hurry up that Fold already."
"Almost there Admiral!"
Then..
:: ~ If you insist on ignoring our orders, then suffer the fate the same as those you call friend. ~ ::
Ward sends back quickly, just as the Fleet sends in signals of readiness, short a few Corvettes and JumpShips. ":: Dammit already! We DON'T want a battle! Repeat dammit! No battle! ::"
Sensors however calls out. "Several contacts coming from all six vectors! Reading multiple smaller objects comingg from several carrier like vessels! Weapons look hot Sir!"
Ward curses loudly! "COMM! I want a signal sent to High Command immediately, and once all vessels are ready, Fold and do NOT wait for others! Static Fold Jumps cleared as of now!!"
One of the Captains however says. "But if the ones not ready, if we leave before they can Jump."
"I know! I know dammit! All stations to battlestations! NOW DAMMIT NOW!!"
Suddenly, a routine exploration mission was turning into the worst nightmare of any Fleet Commander. All around them, hundreds of fighters were shooting out towards the Gaian Fleet, with larger ships closer behind.
The Gaians reacted by sending out Fold capable OmniFighters and Omni-LAMs to cover the more vernerable ships. Their mere twenty Seven vessels were foortunate enough to have very heavy hitting capital ships to rely upon, even for an exploration group. Still, the Gaians played defense first.
With their odds very badly against them, they had to wait out until the last Gaian ships were ready to Fold. They could 'not' leave anyone behind. Flat out and simple.
The Gaian distress signal was sent out fast and hot to emplaced listening stations in the region. Those would get to High Command within minutes. This possibility was already considered, if not wanted. And now it was being forces upon them. They had no choice now. If only they had know prior, this would 'never' have occured. It was too late now..
..the war would commence unknowingly in sixty-one seconds.

OOC: Tag I would like to join
multisource recompiled hyperwave transmission: all restricted range monodirectional
origin: 48 sources: see details
destination: All EG-15 (Remnant System)
command code: ************************
-Relayed via Remnant Decentralized Information Network
Strategic Observation Integration Center:
Special Projects Board, Eortan Science Academy:
At 6.348.39, an unidentified fleet of 27 ships entered GY-99 and was observed by Deep Survey Probe 635. The ships appeared to use an instantaneous hyperspace jump technology. They stayed in the system for several hours, apparently conducting routine scientific scans. They jumped out of the system at 6.348.86, but the destination could not be determined. To the best of our knowledge, we maintained concealment, but it was felt prudent to use only passive scanning.
We have gathered data on the following technologies:
1. FTL drives
2. weapon systems
3. shield systems
4. materials
5. power systems
Details:
files attached
total size: 14.16 petabits
sources: GH-18, FT-91....
The data was encrypted, broken into individually incoherent segments and, disguised as natural fluctuations in Hyperspace, was sent over several hours to a few dozen other probes and relay stations in various systems of the Moritana Wilderness. As per the Kinduran psyche's neurotic devotion to secrecy, each segment was again segmented, re-encoded, and sent along with decoy transmissions to dozens of other systems. No fewer than six, and as many as 11 waypoints were involved for each packet.
Most forms of encryption are flawed in that they contain, by necessity, a single, or a small number of intelligible solutions. The answer to this problem is the Multi-Conceptual Cipher. If an outside party intercepts any fragment, or even the entire message, and runs the data through every possible variation of the encryption code, they will find thousands of equally intelligible messages constructed by the program.
Gentlemen...
Scene: A spacious, bright blue, metallic chamber. Various people in military or scientific clothing are seated. A short, well-aged man stands atop a raised platform. He is Professor Nar Akano.
Prof. Akano: "...perhaps you do not understand the implications of this."
Caption: Strategic Observation Integration Center, several years earlier
Prof. Akano: "In normal information theory, a single bit of binary data may contain no more than a single bit of information, and in practical terms, it usually contains much less. Consider, if you will, a book containing a random jumble of letters."
Through the glass behind him we see a clutter of blue metal structures, slowly spinning in space against a background of blue dust. The gentle curve of the room forms part of a massive centrofuge.
Prof. Akano: "Let us say that there are 25 letters in an alphabet, including one for spaces. Every page of the book contains 1000 random characters, and there are 100 pages in all. Furthermore, there is a library containing a book for every possible combination of letters. By far, most of what is in these books will be simple nonsense, but recall that every combination is included in this library. Within this library will be contained the greatest novels ever written, the scientific principles of the universe, the history of the universe. As staggering as this may be..."
The scientists are enthralled; the military types begin to yawn and lean on their elbows.
Prof. Akano: "...must we limit ourselves to a single language? Given infinite permutations of language, there is infinite information contained within the library. Moreover, there is infinite information contained within a single page. A finite amount of data contains an infinite amount of information... for the right computer. Indeed, simple algorythmic processing is not enough. The Processor must encode multitudinous realities within a single integration of data."
Cut for three seconds to a slow motion shot of a lightning bolt as it traces a curving, dancing path from cloud to ground.
Prof. Akano: "No matter how advanced the device, it must be able to assemble itself coherrently though countless permutations. However, do not fret over the cost of developing a truely unique and fetal technology. There is already in our possession an information system designed around precisely this principle: the Human Brain."

"The hostiles are entering our defense envelope Sir!!"
Admiral Ward however tried one last time. ":: Turn back now, or your actions will determine your eventual fate. We are not the ones who will fire firs... ::"
A MASSIVE explosion erupts to the far Port of the SDF Flagship of the 1091st Fleet. Only the advanced shield arrays the Gaians used prevent an outright kill of a Corvette by.. "ATOMIC SIGNATURE CONFIRMED!! UPDATE! THE ADVANCING BLIPS ARE MINES!!!"
Ward shielded her eyes then looked angrily at the sight of the explosion. "That tears it. We gave them a fair chance. And now 'this' amount of uncivilized behavior.
All vessels conduct all defense with all due discourse! All weapons free!!"
At that moment, three more nuclear projectiles are sent at the Fleet, but this time the Gaians extend overall shield arrays to deflect explosions from further away, and starfighters actively begin to hund down approaching mines. Within seconds, lances of tracer fire begins to stitch between both sides as the Gaians try to buy time for their unexpectantly slow Fold ready vessels.
And on top of this, the Gaians begin to throw out their extensive Ionic Weaponry, as large Ionic Beam Cannons and Gravity Ionic Wave Cannons, as well as thrown out Gauss Shield Accelerator shots and the first wave of StarJel Torpedoes.
..added.. "Deploy Seismic Charges along all six attack axies immediately! And get me the captain of that slow ass JumpShip already!!"
All around very quickly, screaming swarms of Gaian fighters swat away as many of the incoming drone mines as possible, before the United Mankind attack vessels arrive next. The heavier Capitals behind this line continue to fire from long range, but their inital attacks have little effect now.
Just then, Gaian Tactical-Techs announce the weapons are ready. "Send the first units after the StarJel detonate!" Ward orders.
Several fired StarJel Torpedoes shoot past the Gaian defense line and towards all axies. As soon as they draw close, the detonate and blind entire swaths of the battlefield. Advancing United Mankind craft are blinded in eye and in sensor.
Then the Gaians mini-Fold Jump the Sesmic charges off the piggy back of mini Fold Units. They drop along all six main axises of attack and then detonate.
The Sesmic Charges are capital ship sized in effect and send Level Two shock waves that toss United Mankind vessels all over the place, effectively blunting the attack for a few moments.
United Mankind forces are taken aback by these strange tactics, but resolve to teach these 'Abh lapdogs' a cold lesson.
Meanwhile, Ward finally gets word from the Capitan of the only vessel yet ready to Fold. The reason why terrifies her. "A what!?!?"
"Apparently a foreign vessel had fused itself into our engineering section! We had no idea until some crew members tried to contact the Techs in there.
..they 'aren't' there. They're fused into the hull of that alien ship! We can't Fold out of here!"
Ward feels even colder suddenly. "Dear goddess."
"Enemy advancing again Sir!"
Ward for a moment is a mind pure numb.

Admiral Spoor's fleet, well actually half, was on manuevers with a supply fleet near an uncharted star system. Rumors of the remnant enemy fleets were said to be fortifing themselves near a sord.
Spoor: "Chief do tell me, why is half of my fleet taken away from me when I'm supposed to be engaging what could be left of the enemy?"
Cufadiss: "Well ma'am there was supposed to be a battle involving us joining up with the Federal Union but the plans were cancelled. The other half is still refueling and won't be able to join us."
Spoor: "Oh dear chief" she purred "you could at least have lied to me and said it's because I am such a great commander. Dear chief you are absolutly no fun at times"
Cufadiss: "Uh sorry ma'am I'll try to be a better playmate."

"Message has reached High Command Admiral!"
Ward snaps out of her revelry and begins to race through her options. She then puts together a set of orders.
"Alright. Follow these orders 'exactly'!
1. Transfer all remaining crew from the JumpShip to Dropships and head to the two Potemkins and one Cruiser.
2. Plot a forward attack plot for one of the attack axises, I don't care which.
3. The JumpShip will begin self-destruct protocols, and the explosion will shadow the advance of the fleet.
The objective is only one thing. Break their morale. If we can disrupt one axis of attack enough, we can then make them back off a bit and we can Fold out of here. But not before the JumpShip detonates.
And unless something else occurs prior, these orders stand."
One of the Captains replied back. "We 'attack' one of the attack vectors alone? Is twenty six vessels enough?"
"If we move fast enough yet. We're not here to win this battle, just make them think twice about thinking they can roll us over. Who knows where that will lead if we can get out of this mess.
Now get going and all fighters perform rear guard attacks via Fold, as of now!"
A slew of acknowledgements sound, and the operations begin. Meanwhile, scores of Gaian fighters begin to literally pop in and out of place and area, appearing all around the United Mankind fleet, firing at random points and causing disruptions where possible.
Enemy point defense guns tried to track and only had marginal success as the Gaians sowed just enough disruption to allow the needed time.
Five minutes later, only a part of the enemy fleets managed through with effect, and by then, the Gaians had their plot solution.
"Mark 518.44 by 338.20. Designated Axis 3 is the area we will strike Sir!"
"THEN DO IT ALREADY!!" Ward bellowed, and that set in motion a sembelance of an inital counterattack.
Within moments, both sides were scarring each other quickly, but Gaian foward heavy batteries were having telling effect to the United Mankind axis.
---
Gaian High Command recieves the signal at the same time, and it races up the chain of command. One Standby force of 105 vessels is ordered into dispatch mode to assit the withdrawl and cover operation.
Obviously, they sent notice to Abh Fleet Command shortly after.

A message came through to the Latchkue.
Cufadiss: "Ma'am. I have some interesting news for you."
Spoor: "Oh, what is it?"
Cufadiss: "It's a message from Admiral Trife. He is giving us orders."
Spoor: "WHAT?! How disgraceful! What's the order? Just out of sheer curiosity."
Cufadiss: "It appears that a message has been relayed throughout Star Forces and Admiral Dusanyu is onboard Trife's ship heading back to the fleet to collect his forces. So in a sense, Admiral Dusanyu is giving us an order to attack the United Mankind."
Spoor: "Does he think I am stupid? That's what we are doing out here!"
Cufadiss: "Yes but it seems that the Gaians have already engaged them. The Admiral wants us to wait for his fleet to arrive and our half fleet will act as calvary protecting the flank, charging, etc. You know what our routine was before promotion."
Spoor: "Hmmm this is interesting. We have the United Mankind out in the open. We can finish them off with this. We finally know where they are and they are engaged with an ally......Chief! Make the jump! We attack now!"
Cufadiss: "BUT MA'AM......BUT......We don't have orders for that. Remeber the attack on Lobnoss system."
Spoor cringes: "I told you not to remind me of that. Now inform our half fleet to make the jump."
Cufadiss: "yes ma'am"
Spoors half fleet made the jump to Space Time heading for the battle field

Adrimal Cleo of the Jackal Pride Marine Starcommand was commanding Pride Jackal's Warfleet there current mission was to hunting for territory for the Imperial Republic of Deatharon to take by force. The Weapons fire had attarcted the Warfleets sensors. The Intel officer quickly sends a message to the Adrimal, "The Gaians are under attack by an unkown enemy. They are our allies and Deatharon's honor would be critized if we do not help our allies in times of need." The Adrimal responds, "How do you know it is the Gaians?" The officer responds, "The communication signals that we are picking up are the ones primarly used by Gaians." The Adrimal thinks about this for a second and responds, "Send a message to Marine Core Command, We are going to help our allies out." The Officer replies, "Yes sir." The Warfleet folds towards the coordinates.

A division of the HT Exploratory Battlegroup was moving nearby the battle.
Captain Lerh tapped on his pad, and a large energy reading flew up on a nearby screen. "Hmmm. Controlled energy... Large readings... Probably a space battle. Helmsman, take us in."
A small fleet, greatly diminished by the attempt to protect the colonists on Hytha IV, moved towards the area where the readings were...
(Anyone scanning the fleet would find this:)
Fleet Numbers:
15 Tyran Interceptors (Standard interceptors, no shields, just for fighter-fighter combat)
17 Milisha Bombers (heavy weaponry, fighter-vs-capital ship combat)
25 Yria Fighters (Adaptable, decent armor and shield, medium-powered weapons)
1 Hysska Light Cruiser (Carries both Milisha and Tyran class ships, many weapons, lots of long-range weaponry, but lightly armoured for a capital ship)
1 Kyran Support Frigate (Refuels and carries Yria class fighters, has a few long-range weapons, lightly armoured. Not too big, maybe 500 times bigger than a X-Wing (SW reference))
1 Troop Transport (Carries 1200 troops, approximately as big as the Kyran)
As the ships moved in, Captain Lerh hailed the ships.
"This is Captain Lerh of the HT Exploratory Fleet. We wish to know for what reason are you fighting. We can offer help, but if you wish to attack us, we will retaliate."
Knowing that his ships were outnumbered, Lerh tactfully ordered his fleet to move backwards, a decent distance from the conflict. Weapons were armed and shields were powered up. Torpedoes, missiles, and other types of weaponry were targetting ships of both sides.
Lerh sighed, and realised how much he hated his job.
The Space Pirate
14-06-2005, 04:54
"Sir...are we to do nothing?"
A timid space pirate, bearing the ranking of Leutenant, looked terrifyingly on at the gargantuan creature situated on the bridge. It was aproximately 3 meters tall, with four giant mandibles prodtruding from its back. Each mandible posessed a boney, ebony claw with long, glistening tallons. General Gals'thar, once trained under the legendary Ridely himself, sat upon the Captain's seat of the Space Pirate Battlecarrier, Ordule. With a sharp turning of his head, Gals'thar rained words down upon the hapless Leutenant almost as sharp as his tallons.
"You dare to question orders?! Do you know the punishment for such an audacity?!"
"General Gals'thar, sir!" the Space Pirate was practically sniveling now, bowing down at the feet of the Great Pirate, "I was only seeking clarity, not questioning! Please spare me sir!"
"I will...for now." Gals'thar retorted, giving the Leutenant a sharp kick with a three-pronged insect-like leg. "And to answer your question: yes. We shall do nothing. Nothing at all to provoke the ships around us."
"Sir, may I ask why we are staying?" the Leutenant whimpered, bowing down at Gals'thar's feet.
"You ask too much for such a weakling," Gals'thar sneared as he kicked the Leutenant again, "But, if you must know, my plan is simple. We shall wait here in stealth until such time as the battle dies down. Then, without hesitation, we will take whatever is left and leave this sector."
"Thank you, sir!" the Leutenant bowed deeply again, then walked off to relay the General's orders.
Gals'thar sneered.
"Yes, that is one part of the plan." Gals'thar thougt to himself, his sneer widinging into a malicious smile, "but the other part is so much sweeter."
Gals'thar placed his hand on a small, concieved pannel to the right of his chair.
With that, a new order was given: but it was not to the fleet.
Over onehundred Boarding Ships, now in stealth mode, were activated. Their orders were clear: remain in stealth mode, close in on enemy ships, then board and take over. Attempt to secure any and all Gaian vessels possible. Any other ships will be deemed acceptable.
In an instant, the boarding ships disengaged their stealth dries, and moved to ramming speed towards their targets.
OOC: My fleet is composed of this:

8 Light Escort Frigtes

The Lachkue was first on the scene and the other part of the fleet was soon behind it.
Spoor: "Chief send a greeting to the Gaians, let them know that we will cover their retreat so that they may regroup."
Cufadiss: "What about a challenge signal to the enemy?"
Spoor: "No way chief! They never showed the Abh quarter during our many battles with them. We shall show them none! I want ever enemy vessel wiped from my space. The only exception will be civilian vessels and they will be sent to POW camps. That is if they surrender. If not then our ships have my permission to shoot them down, I don't care."
Cufadiss gulped: "Uh yes ma'am"
Spoor: "I want all ships to focus their attacks in order to give the Gaians a bit of breathing room. Push the enemy back! Then the Lachkue will charge."
Cufadiss: "CHARGE?! But the United Mankind is known for it's stubborness. They will defend this territory to the last ship without retreating"
Spoor: "I am well aware of the enemies reputation but a charge will be something they won't suspect. Prepare for mine attack. Go to plane space immediatly."
Spoor's fleet went to space time to begin it's mine attack on the enemy. 250 Frontline ships opened mine ports to begin the bombardment. 200 Guardships formed up behind the line to make ready for a charge with telltale red flagship, Lachkue, at the tip.

Admiral Ward watched as her Fleet attack began to push ard into the 3rd UM attack axis, and was about to order full bore Dimensional Cannons, when...
"Abh warships have emerged at Mark 093.54! Count 200 plus!"
Ward felt the shiver of the good news. Then heard the arrivals of Deatharon, HT, Firehelper, and Space Pirate vessels. Seeing the SP ones comiong right at them, Admiral Ward sets IFF Holos to determine enemy and friend. The Automated weapons will conduct the rest.
Ward calls out.. "Inform all allied vessels to hit hard until we break free at Mark 343.66. The midpoint of the axis of our counterattack. And tell those SP idiots to not mess in affairs larger than they are.
As for us. FIRE AT WILL!!! FULL EFFECT!!!"
13 major Warship batteries suddenly WAIL at the enemy UM vessels with rabid effect. Just then, the abandoned JumpShip DETONATES with total effect accounting to full colapse and implosion of the Fold Drive, dumped with hyper-unstable anti-matter.
The explosion takes up half the sky in everyone's view, and another third is cascaded as tens of added Warship Siesmic Charges and StarJel Torpedoes blare and blast away all over the battlefield with wild abandon.
The 26 remaining Gaian vessels then hammer and hammer at the UM Fleet in front of them with little remorse. Ionic weapons carve a wave of inert vessels in their path. Gaian fighters keep mini-Folding and adding even more to this, wrecking the intended objective in shockingly short order.
Ward meanwhile orders. "All vessels, at break point, will reform behind the Abh line and Fold as soon as we are clear."
The Gaians however continue the onslaught until that point.

Spoor laughed at the showing by the Gaians.
Spoor: "This is absouletly wonderful dear chief! The Gaians have pushed back the enemy with one magnificent explosion. I must say that I would never sacrifice my beautiful ship for such a maneuver but I must admit that there is something artistic about it. Don't you think?"
Cufadiss: "I guess so, but I am relieved that you don't feel the need to destroy our ship."
Spoor: "Indeed. Send the signal Chief, we charge!"
The Lachkue led the charge into enemy lines, firing all electromagnetic rifles, ion cannons, and laser turrets. The Abh tore their way through ships leaving destruction in it's wake.

The Gaians also brutilized their opponents, but unlike the Abh, were using their weapons with great effect, to leave large swaths of the enemy adrift in space. However the Gaian's numbers verses the larger United Mankind numbers was too much for the current disposition and attack tactics.
The Gaians were getting pummeled more and more as they closed in on their break off point. The Gaians shields were better, but still took a beating, and some shots penetrated, causing great gashes in several hulls. Even the ISDs and SDF Warships took heavy hits from assorted weaponry, and the damage only made the Gaians more angry, fighting with more and more viciousness.
Gaian starfighters managed to stave off enemy mine and missle attacks, but could only do so much with their current numbers. As fighters died in balls of flame, Admiral Ward kept a close eye on the target coordinate. The massive flares and thrumming explosions upon her vessel's hull did not dissuade her.
As an all too close UM Crusier was lambasted by three Ionic Dimensional Cannons, dumping the vessel deader in the water than a shipwrecked boat, Ward suddenly notes their position.
"ALL VESSELS ARC TURN 75 Degrees! Come to Second WayPoint Coordinate NOW!!!"
The discipline of the Gaians was well enough that they turned as one, the heavies covering the inernal cloistered JumpShips, and for a few brief moments, the Fleet had the UM attack axis in a pure T-formation, and gutted four UM vessels in a span of ten seconds.
As soon as the Gaians clear their vector, they head, dead hard, towards the Abh line.
The Humankind Abh

Spoor watched as the Gaians made the turn to start heading for her lines.
Spoor: "Wedge formation halt! 180 degree turn NOW! Fire space time mines at to give the Gaians some breathing room. Let's cut a path for them! Wedge formation break! I want a solid line of fire and keep it constant!"
The abh ships disperssed and set up a wall of fire for the Gaians. The blunt of their firepower was pointed at the tip of the Gaians dash to clear away their enemies and allow them more freedom of movement.

Admiral Ward sees this and comments over to Comm. "Send my compliments to the Abh commander. Meanwhile, get us behind that line now!"
At that, the Gaians fully break off the fight, and remaining fighters join suit. One fighter however takes a death blow, and the pilot shoots past the SDF's bridge and SLAMS into a chasing UM Attack Ship in 'it's' bridge, causing the enemy vessel to careen out of control.
Ward sees this on scanner holos and glumly whispers. "This battle of attrition we cannot win." ..thinking of her Fleet first with all honesty.
Just then, a message is sent through, and heard on all comms. ":: ~ 1091st Exploration Fleet, this is elements of the 24th Assault Fleet.
We're here to assist you. ~ ::"
A literal moment later, thirty large scale warships suddenly Fold out behind the Abh/Deatharon line. They are all centered upon an Eclipse Class SSD, but more advanced by three Battlestars that send out gamuts of fighters to establish an allied fighter cordon.
Ward sighs a good, thick sigh... "This is Admiral Ward. My compliments on your timely arrival all the way out here."
Comm returns.. ":: ~ This is Star Admiral Alex Row. We read you and compliment your resilience. We also compliment the Abh and Deatharon skill and ability as well.
...and we aim to serve. ~ ::"
At that, TITANIC Dimensional Cannon beams begin carving through space towards the other UM Fleet elements. The Gaians attack like angry hornets at the inflexible UM.

((OC- This is the 'same'/my version of Alex Row from Last Exile. Nothing like a commander that's 'that' badass to lead an Assault Fleet.
..the crew might seem familiar as well. =^^= ))
The Humankind Abh

Spoor: "Chief tell the fleet to form up. We'll advance and begin to drive back the UM."
The abh ships formed on the Lachkue and began another barrage to send the enemy ships back on their heels. The frontline ships repositioned themselves behing the newly established Abh lines and made ready for another mine attack.
