ALEXONIUM
Emir Alex II appologized for a remark he made at a recent dinner when he consumed too many libations, to state the incident politely. He thought it would be amusing to dress up in a toga, and declare himself a god. Many laughed, but quite a few more cursed him out.
The Emir clarified that it was not uncommon for Roman emperors to be declared living gods, or deified posthumously. He also sends assurances that he will not become a Caesar. He has already submitted legislation to the parlaiment giving it more checks and balances against him, in exchange for the ability for him to submit a bill directly to the floors of both houses for consideration. He quoted at the end of the said bill: "Most Caesars were stabbed, because of that, I never wished to be one."
