New Dornalia City/Los Angeles-

Today, it has been confirmed that by the order of the Politburo, the planets known as NP-1 and NP-2 are now to be organized as the New Leningrad and New Star City Soviet Socialist Republics.

Each Colony will have its own regional defense forces, and government. Regular service between the two colonies is expected to begin soon, as new cargo ships and Mao Zedong class vehicles will be built to defend this trade. As well, a new dedicated colony ship, the Engels class, will be put into production soon.

Commissariat of Science, Griffith Observatory- Today, the shipment of samples from New Star City SSR has been confirmed to be a set of new materials, tenatively dubbed "leninite," "maoite," and "trotskyite."

Leninite is a new metal, discovered on New Star City that is believed to posses extreme ductility in a raw, unprocessed form. When fused with a metal like aluminum and steel and tempered, however, it hardens up to form a material with 40x the tensile strength of steel, yet is surprisingly light. Further refining promises new arenas for this material, including body armor and spacecraft, and promises to raise the strength even more. Leninite has also been replicated in small quantities in the lab, though at the moment, it is expensive to do so.

Maoite seems to be a new superconductive material, working extremely efficently at very low temperatures. Exact results have been classified, but they seem to perform at about a 50-60% higher efficency rate than conventional materials on Earth, making them useful for electrical applications.

Trotskyite seems to be a very promising material, as it performs with higher efficency than dilithium in use with present antimatter reactors, boosting power levels at a very high rate. Experiments are being done on both Maoite and Trotskyite to boost their effectiveness and better serve the people.

Today, it has been confirmed that new ships will be built, mainly of the Mao Zedong class. About 12 new ships will be built right now to facilitate local defense and to help escort freighters that will be carrying materials to and from the new colonies. New noncombat versions of the Mao are being built by JDB in a new plant in Lodi, and in a sattelite branch in New Leningrad as freighters. Also, in a radical step, a new orbital dockyard will be added to the Che Guevara Station, upgrading the existing structure to meet new demand.

As of now, the populations of New Leningrad are 700, and New Star City has about 700 as well. To bolster this, the Politburo has passed the People's Welfare Act, permitting potential immigrants to those areas to buy 150 acres per single person, and 50 acres per adult and 20 acres per child/adolescent in a family. Also, potential immigrants will have to pay travel costs, but integration into the area will be eased by government resources. Also, enemies of the people (OOC: actual criminals) and Abhuman Prisoners of War will be sent to the colonies to aid development, where they will be used for the benefit of the Workers and Peasants.

The Ascendancy recognizes the claim of these two worlds, and can begin to direct some trade commerce to help establish these planets somewhat quicker. The trade can begin litterly within a couple of days.

Che Guevara Station-

Today, it has been confirmed that construction on the new dockyard at the Che Guevara Station has begun. Encompassing about 2km of length and several hundred meters of width, the dockyard is expected to be the home of the new Engels class. Funding has been obtained from the government, and the design, to be about 1km long and about 550m wide, is expected to accomidate 5,000-8,000 persons in seven pods. Obtaining Leninite has been difficult, as travel between the colonies is still slow. However, once the dockyard is finished, it is estimated that work on the Engels will proceed smoothly.

The Ascendancy recognizes the claim of these two worlds, and can begin to direct some trade commerce to help establish these planets somewhat quicker. The trade can begin litterly within a couple of days.

Today, it has been confirmed that the Gaian Ascendancy has offered to help the Workers and Peasants achieve their goal of developing the new colonies. The people cheered today, and have called the Gaian government reportedly: "A Comrade of Comrades" and "A true friend of Socialism."

Also, the JDB seems to be well on its way of meeting the quota of 25-50 new freighters and 17 new battlecruisers, working at a frenetic pace to get them made and off the ground.

The Ascendancy's offer is accepted. May the Will of the People favor both of our nations in this great endeavor.

Literally as soon as the message was recieved, about 2% of the Ascendancy's massive Commerce JumpShip Fleet was slated for sendin a literal flood of material and standard prefab unit, along with large numbers of replicators, Fusion Plants and other standard Ascendancy equipment.

The Ascendancy actually stockpiled certain types of these resources for chances like this, since a friend helped along at one point, was an eventual ally later on.

Within two days, the first JumpShips Fold Jump into both planetary orbits and inform of their trade status.

The first vessels even had prefab city structures for a 20,000 population. Everything they would need. These were sent upon the lengthy Monolith Class JumpShips, with scores of Merchant and Invader Classes that would come later.

Within a week, the trickle would become a flood of trade.

All the while, the new ships from the JDB yards on Earth churned out, containing supplies and food for the colonies. New arrivals had begun to sign up, and entire Abhuman POW units that were on standby and prisoners who had opted to do so were being sent to the new colonies too.

Three of these ships so far, with extra security provided by two regular battle cruisers, were on their way to the colonies. The new shipyard was also on its way, as more and more of the structure took shape.
