(OOC: This will be done in case The Knights Templars is Decree 12)
Romans Restore Order In The Vatican, Venetia after collapse of The Knights Templars Government
VENETIA (RFP)- The Roman Army today moved into Israel, Venetia and the Vatican today to restore peace in regions where violence has broken out with the collapse of The Knights Templars Government. Roman Military officials state that when they arrived to The Knights' lands, they saw "no Knight standing...it was total and complete anarchy."
"We're not sure what happened to them," said General Marcus Maderius, best known for his work in capturing Texas. "However, considering how close the hostility was to our lands we had to intervene."
Maderius reports that Roman soldiers were "greeted well" by the local populace, considering that the Knights and the Romans have had good relations for years. He also reports that the official position of the Government is not to directly annex the lands, but merely to "hold onto them in case the Knights' government returns."
"We did this to protect a friend," said Maderius. "The Knights needed our assistance and we arrived."
This is the breakdown of peacekeeping troops sent to Knight land:
Israel: 5 legions, 1 century
Venetia: 2 legions
Vatican City: 1 century
