Subject: Development of Hikari Node Units
The idea from a Alcove Attendant came to my attention when I was conversing with my Tree about a month ago, about the same time that I was inspecting the continued development of the Main Hikari Grand Fleet, still being prepared in orbit over Emerald Node Orbit at the Tree-Yards.
This all at the same time. The Tree told me what another Tree told it that was near the attendant as she was conversing with another User. The idea comes in the form of creating a special node unit that can both physically interact for the user between the User, Tree, and Seed Treeship and it's Sibiling Extensia Trees throughout the Ascendancy Sphere, as well as interact in a spiritual matter, as if one were using a remote control of some format.
Essentially, it would also create a key-lock system to protect the Trees from external invasion of any kind, by creating a node unit system that prevents non-geneticly created Partnerships. To be simplistic, the nodes will be hereafter called Hikari Keys.
They are the sap of a Hikari Tree, hardened, molded and sculpted into a specific shape by the User. In fact this is something the Trees want to some extent. A Key created in whatever shape the User that melded the Partnership, chooses for her/himself.
The shape can be jewelery, a handle for some weapon, maybe a actual weapon, or any other shape the User desires. The main effect is to channel that power into the Key, essentially magnifying the effect of the Power to a certain degree, as well as creating a Key that is genetically patterned to the User, preventing an outside User that tries to use it. The effect of such an occurance is unknown, though it is 'hinted' by my Tree that it is less than comforting.
Something like touching a live power line while grounded. Could be worse but it's simply unknown.
What is known, is that this System also adds a depth to the relationship to the User Partnership and the Tree as well. With the Treeships and Shield Trees, and the Great Link between them all, the Keys seem to create a special lock that binds them all together, and gives the entire Link a sense of security.
With the recent problems that occured with the Hikari Power User base and... well.. all know space apparently, it's time we made new measures to prevent such a catalyst from ever occuring, as well as prevent others from trying to capitalize on this.
Our weaknesses need to be tightened down upon, and new strengths found to ensure the Hikari Power has no way of being damaged ever again. At least as much as we can do so.
..our very existence is dependant upon this.
And new options may arise from these matters, even more now the Excellency is finally returned to us. (About damned time to..)
