The collapse of Cottonmouths regime provoked the Martime republics supreme high military command into action. Namibia has great strategic significance to the republic and its allies The Supreme Admiral deems.

Naval forces in the atlantic region of the republic have been put on full military alert. and are ready to move out on the Supreme Admirals command.

The maritime republic wishes to contact ally kreynoria and possible ally huahin on whether they would like to join the military campain.....

Grand Admiral Rustbucketinski Paced around his office in the republics second capital Sao tome whisky glass in hand His mind was drifting like the gentle ocean swell outside the presidential palace.

The time was near.. action must be taken to assert the Republics Influence to the world... namibia was ripe for the picking..

"Admiral Tincanski" bellowed the aged Supreme admiral and head of state.

Tancanski literally fell through the door. "get up ticanski we have no time for fun and games" Rustbucketinski snapped.

Tancanski reeled back as if shot but maintained his composure..

"I want you to notify the leaders of kreynoria and Huahin of our Intended Invasion of namibia and let them know whether or not they would like to share in the spoils. so to speak..... "

"sire I have allready done so we are just waiting for their response" replied Tincanski

One of the Emperor's aides knelt down to present him with a message from the Maritime Republic. "So they're taking anarchic Namibia."

The Emperor summoned the Marshal, the Constable, and the Admiral. They all agreed that an invasion of Namibia would be a perfect opportunity for the Imperial forces to garner glory, experience, and prestige.

"Send a reply to the Maritime Republic. Inform them that we will gladly participate in defeating the chaos in Namibia.

The maritime republics diplomatic catastrophe began as Outspoken and ignorant zeeelandish politician Vladimir maxinski Insulted the nation of north germania by referring to the people as Nazis as a result of his limited Intelligence being insulted by the diplomatic staff of North Germania.

Maxinski has been sent to North Germania to stand trial it is believed. however how North Germania sees fit to punish vladimir Maninski is there own Prerogative..

This Incident has deeply and Irrecovably embaressed the Government of Zeeeland and parliament has issued a statement declaring a truce with North germania and its relinquishment of many of her African territories.

Bar one. Namibia.. The grand Admiral stood firm in his resolve... "we must take namibia.. to establish our born again nation in the area for one thing. and to find a home for the mass exodus of zeeelandish citizens out of her former territories..." he stated on national radio. " the Zeeeland people are now a transient people"

The first troops ships arrived off Walvis bay. having being evacuated from the former naval port of Sao tome.

Namibia has one of the most hostile coasts in the world.. the Skeleton coast.. which stretchs for literally thousands of miles....

The Naval command were weary of this and thus Walvis Baai is considered vital to the Nations war effort in the Area.

The First fleet arrived off Walvis Baai.....

A Scouting contingent led ashore wearily.. they were soon to find...

OOC: No problem. What I'll do is basically have your typical resistance force -- unorganized, but with a solid rank structure.

The army is going to be around 110,000 people in total numbers. They'll be acting as an "interim government", but actually have no real support from the rest of the people. They claim power through force.

They'll have no air force, except about 30 outdated MiG-25s and 20 Mi-24 HIND helicopters.

About 150 T-72 MBTs, 300 BRDM-2 Infantry Recon Vehicles (half armed with both 14.5mm and 7.62mm machine guns, the other half armed with anti-tank rockets).

So, you're looking at about 108,500 total enemy infantry. The rest are in the tanks, IRVs, planes, and helicopters.

The infantry will be armed primarily with AK-47s (about 40,000 of them) AK-74s (10,000), basic M-16s (40,000) some grenades, RPG-7s and Stingers (the rest).

Sound good?

Central Namibian Coast...

Major Mamud Amaru was leading a patrol of ten BRDM-2s and twenty-five infantry along the coast, watching out for any anti- Namibian Sovereignty Party groups, who performed regular, but small guerilla attacks on the party currently controlling the nation.

However, as he was observing his surroundings through his BRDM-2 IRV, he spotted something he had not expected to see -- a Zeeelandish naval force.

Quickly, he yanked the radio from its holder inside the vehicle and reported to General Hatura, who was at a halfway point between the coast and the headquarters at Windhoek.

Major Mamud Amaru: "Zeeelandish naval forces spotted! Numbers not known! Request situational advise!"

General Nahas Hatura: "Attack any enemy forces at once!"

The Major slammed the radio down, and peered towards the coast again through binoculars.

Major Amaru: "Hide in the bushes behind us! We'll ambush them! Abandon the vehicles, we'll use them as bombs! Open the gas tanks!"

The soldiers did as they were told immediately, and took up hiding in thick, dry bushes not far from the road. Two soldiers armed with RPG-7s held their sights on the two vehicles, directly at the open gas tanks, waiting for the Zeeelandish soldiers to approach closer...

( Im not good at military r.p.s but here goes...)

The first marine contingent were weary... Walvis baai seemed too desolate. considering the place is almost a ghost town in R.L. this is saying something... :)

A seasprite helicopter was launched on the frigate "liberator" and flew over the Ambhibous assault craft.... plowing through the turquos namibian sea now 300 meters from Walvis Baai. with another two following from "Tutsky" and "Dankov"

the naval fleet were ordered not to fire upon the township for fear of hitting civilians.

The first Seasprite helicopter flew over the port area of Walvis Baai.. suddenly he saw it... an RPG ( uhhh they can be fired at aircraft too right??) fired from a hidden area in the township.

before the pilot could even comprehend his predicament his seasprite blew up in a brilliant hue of orange.. "Nyet" screamed the pilot of the second seasprite " seasprite down, repeat seasprite down..." the other two retreated back but not before one of the Seasprites fired off a air to surface missile randomly. hoping for the best......

( hey um N.G. how many troops can a troop ambibous assault craft take. about 20??? i wouldnt have a clue) the ten Initial Ambibous assault craft ( Ive got Military statistics posted on defense sheet,, i will R.p. this again soon. Ive gotta work out other straegies i coulds use to capture namibia) continued to the shore with ominous dread.

The LCM-8 can hold 80 infantry. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ship/images/lcm-8-DMST8608276.JPG

Unbeknownst to all, a squadron of 42 B-2 Stealth Bombers had been secretly launched from Reunion Island. As they made their way into Namibian airspace, they took observations on both the Zeeelander and Namibian forces. The air defence system the Cottonmouth had built was long since dilipadated from neglect, and it was no match for Stealth Bombers. The squadron immediately began dropping 2000-pound bombs and napalm over Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.

sporadic bursts of gunfire by rebel forces filled the air as the Paratroop Apaches began routing the rebel forces out of their hiding positions while the stingray light battle tanks consolidate their hold in the main port area.

on board the naval frigate "liberator" Admiral Yukov head of military operations was pleased with the progressmade by the forces of the maritime Republic.

suddenly a aide burst through the door. "sir sir " stated the aide excitedly "keep your composure man" said the Admiral calmly. spit it out...

" kreynorian forces have Bombed Windhoek" "with great effect apparently said the aide. " this is good news" observed the Admiral wondering if kreynoria would send troops to assist.....

Jakob Smutsburg A namibian of AFRIKAANS orgin. headed the resistance movement in the Walvis BAAI. he has staunch apartheid policies. and wanted to see them enacted in Namibia itself when the de facto government of Namibia spli itself from the government of the Cottonmouth. ( p.s. no offense intended to any South Aficaners out there, Im just RPing in the region and im not trying to sterotype anyone)
He has headed the radical movement in Walvis BAAI. zeeelandish intelligence reports. but is isolated from the rest of the resistance forces due to the disagreements with his racist policies.

" good" stated Admiral Yukov "dissension in the rebel ranks allready. " we will wipe this Facist Jan Smuts and his group of fanatics off the map!!

"However sir I might state to observe caution" stated Yukovs chief intelligence officer advised " Smuts will be like a cornered shark, The more they lose the less they have to worry about following military protocol"

Yukov thought somberly about this fact....

General Boltha Van der meer a staunch resistance opponent to Jakob Smutsburgs was digusted at Jakob Smutsburgs racist policies in the first place...

"the enemy of my enemy however" he sighed in his military bunker in Windhoek. Smuts will have a use. but once his expiry date runs out.. he will be deported from the country.

he and general Mahmoud fled to the former Cottonmouth main bunker complex in Windhoek. (which was huge but dated. but what technology was left over was the best of the Era) when Kreynoria started the Bombings of Windhoek.

Van der meer also hated the policies of Supreme commander Mahmoud. who assumed control after the fall of Cottonmouth 7 years ago. His totilarain regime and perscution of white setllers were just as bad as Jans smuts "idyllic utopia" against the predominantly black African population of namibia.

( Van der meer being a senior white military commander is a contradiction to Mahmouds geenral policies. but as Van der meer has Immense expereince in Cottonmouths army, Mahmoud was not stupid, he realised Van der Meers value in the war)

If mahmoud bet Zeeeland his goverment would actuallly get some popularity with the largely apathetic people. or smuts may stage a coup with his elite forces and launch another dictatorship.

Whereas If zeeeland overan namibia they would lose national soveirnity. but that term was hard to define amoungst the total anarchy of his country over the pastseven years.

Van der meer thought about this somberly. as another kreynoria bomber dropped bommbs on the capital. shaking the bunker to its core.....

Walvis BAAI proved to be a small scale Normandy for zeeelandish marine forces. Stingray light tanks were held back due to constant threat of RPG attack and Inrfantry forces backed up by fire from the two Naval battleships. fought tooth and nail to gain any ground in The center of Walvis BAAI.

Th Hit and Run tactics of the Rebel forces proved to be deadly effective.

any vehicle on the streets of Walvis BAAI was a pontential time bomb.

A Toyota exploded just short of a Light Infantry regiment Seveley Injurying one soldier and Indujuring 3 more.

The Blackhawks lowered Elite Paratroopers on key rebel military buildings (where it was perceived the rebels would not blow them up on the grounds of losing a lot of logistical support in the region.

Entrenchments were set up in the port area and captured underbuilt areas of Walivis BAAI. this was to be base camp.

The Increased pressure of Fire power from the naval battle ships. ( non essential civilians were evacuated from Walvis Baai it was found out from a captured rebel NCO) took its toll on the promenade.

It leveled the front line buildings. Admiral Yukov Cringed as his ships did so however as he would be in charge of rebuilding the Entire Infrastructure of Walvis BAAI if the Invasion was successful. It was the only way to prevent huge casualties to his troops. in a War there had to be Huge Casualties to one side or the other.

You did not win a conventional war with pillows and teddy bears.... (balls now in your court N.G. and Kreynoria)

General Hatura and his men had organized a full-out attack plan against the Zeeelandish military.

A total of 25 T-72 tanks, 50 BRDM-2s, and 10,000 men were at his disposal.

General Hatura: "Major Amaru, we will launch the counter-assault now. The enemy is close enough. Follow the tactics of the Germans -- use the tanks and BRDM-2s, as well as 2,000 infantrymen, to puncture a hole in the front line resistance in one small area. Open the hole wider by sending in the rest of the infantry. Understood?"

Major Amaru: "General, with all due respect, they will slaughter us. They have the latest tanks, aircraft, artillery -"

General Hatura: "If this order is not executed it, it will be considered an act of treason and you will be court-martialled."

Major Amaru: "Yes, sir."

The attack was then launched. The T-72s and BRDM-2s plunged through the desert, straight towards the Zeeelandish base of operations.

Using night time to their advantage, the tanks slowed to a halt, roughly one mile from the front lines. A small, but well-armored, Zeeelandish force had broken through the sketchy defenses of the Namibian Sovereignty Party, and were no more than 100 yards from the assault group.

To make up for the lack of artillery, all RPG-7 soldiers were grouped into one area, and they would fire simultaneously to act as a sort of MLRS system. They lacked the precision and power of actual artillery, but they hoped the numbers would make up for it.

Major Amaru: "Attack!"

A flurry of RPGs ripped through the air towards the Zeeelandish group, taking out two IFVs and a number of infantry before most of the soldiers with RPG-7s were gunned down.

The T-72s lunged forward, firing their main guns...

But by now, a wave of aircraft launched from Reunion Island had reached the fighting. Galaxy transporters began dropping the first of 6,000 elite paratrooper commandoes. B-2's dropped smart bombs and napalm all over the Namibian forces, A-10's and Apache Longbows barraged the tanks with cannon, rocket, and missile fire, and Aerospace Harriers flew in and strafed the ground forces. "The Empire of Cotland is aware of the Martime Republic of Zeeeland's invasion of Nambia, and hereby officially condemn it. Having witnessed the cruelness of Zeeeland in past annexations of nations, we find that they have had a tendency of killings that border on genocide (killing more then 10% of the native population). We do not have the manpower nor the political will to engage our forces in yet another war, and therefore will merely condemn this attack. The Cottish armed forces in the area are on highest peacetime alert, but will not intervéne as per our current ROE. We will, however, take this action into consideration when conducting business with your nation. Have a nice day."

Meanwhile, of the coast of Cape Frio, the most northernly point of Namibia, a group of Commandos were rowing in, after being dropped off by a Hercules just after dusk. Now, in the dark of night they landed, and set up base. Using high powered binoculars, the nearest military establishment, a runway which would be ideal to fly in more troops and supplies.

The runway was lightly guarded by only roughly twenty men, only three of which were currently awake. Keeping careful watch of the other two guardsmen, one of the commandos crept up on the closest Guardsmen, who had his back to the impending danger and was enjoying a cigarette. He had one final drag and dropped his cigarette, and at that moment a sharp knife was thrust up through his neck and into his skull. Unable to scream for help as his throat filled with blood, he slumped down to the ground and his body was promptly dragged away. It was only then that the commandos witnessed something they had not seen in a long time; slaves, many black men had been chained inside an outlying building.

Whilst the other two guardsmen were promptly dispatched, the slaves were freed, even though many of them were too weak to move. They had many marks over their bodies where they'd been subjected to tortures such as branding and whipping.

The other local militia guarding the runway were sleeping, and did not notice anything amiss until they were rudely awaken at gun point, where they were asked to explain their actions.

"You, are you the leader of this group of...men" The commander of the Huahinian forces based in Namibia struggled to contain his anger.
"Yes..." His voice was filled with a detestable amount of arrogance, "what are you doing here"
"We are here to bring order and rule to this country."
"What are those savages doing out" he spat, as he caught a glimpse of the newly liberated slaves.
"Did you imprison them?"
"Yes, thank god!"
"Well, I think its time you suffered their fate."

As the militia were chained up in the building, fresh supplies and forces were called in. This war would be fought to the end alongside Kreynoria and Zeeeland.

Meanwhile, in Windhoek, the Kreynorian commandoes continued to massacre the civilians and militia, with the deaths totaling around 40,000 by now. Around 800 slaves had also been freed from captivity. Based on their stories, the commandoes learned that they had been forced to do mostthe hard, dirty labor, and had been denied food and water since the start of the invasion several days ago. The Kreynorian general at the head of the invasion, John Doukas, ordered the slaves be given proper food, clothing, and water, quartering, and medical examinations. Elsewhere, the Kreynorian commandoes, armed with RPG-7's, began an extreme bombardment of the dilipadated bunkers left by the Cottonmouth army and the crude, hastily set-up fortifications assembled over the past few days. An amphibious assault group also dispatched 4,000 infantry, 300 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles, and 80 MLRS launchers. These forces were landed at the beachhead set up by the Zeeeland marines and began an immediate attack on the Namibian formations in support of their allies.
[NS]Kreynoria
17-06-2005, 21:33
By dusk, the most of the native Namibian armies had been soundly defeated and driven eastward near the border. The combined Huahinian, Zeeland, and Kreynorian army had secured a long beachhead along the coast, and Windhoek had all but fallen to the elite Kreynorian paratrooper force. Only a few isolated pockets of Namibian soldiers were left, and they were under steady and horrendous bombardment by Pacifinesia artillery and air forces. In Windhoek, the remorseless Kreynorian soldiers systematically moved from disrict to district, slaughtering all in their path. Houses were broken into, the hiding Namibians massacred, their possessions looted, the slaves freed, and then the homes burned to the ground. By now, the slaughter had gotten completely out of hand. The bloodlust of the Kreynorian troopers was unstoppable now, thanks to having enormous amounts of artificial adrenaline hormones and other battle stimulants pumped into them prior to the insertion. General Doukas took careful note of this, and sent a secure email back to HQ, informing them that the amount of battle stimulant injected in the soldiers prior to battle needed to be reduced. Also, he sent note that the estimated casualties in the Windhoek had reached almost 120,000 Namibians and 300 Kreynorians.

"shukov" Renko said with a quite but firm voice.. realising it was too late to have stopped Shukov the action had been done from the looks of it the resistance fighters were all slaughtered from where they stood...

Shukov not realising he was in the presence of Colonel Mikhail Renko... " the pathetic worms" stated Shukov in a blase ( Bla say) tone. to his group of sub ordinates in the Military command buiding. " we will be deocrated for what we have done"

"yes Private Shukov" you will said Renko "with the New Symbol of Private Ranking on your top sleve" " what you have done constitutes a war crime. Shukov turned starteld at Renkos tone.

"uuh" Shukov said in bewilderment. before he could gather his thoughts Renko Went on. " you and your subordinates will be sent into the front line infantry divisions where you will realize what it will be like to be a foot soldier following a commanding officers order" renko went on.. " hopefully it will give you some empathy towards the rebel forces, Im sure you fellow Infantry men who followed your orders will give you none"

"and if you come back alive i will decide either to court marshall you or have you in the middle of the firing squad. depending on your actions in the rest of the war.. Now take this filth away. kReynorian and huahinian forces have arrived in Namibia and i want to assisst them with the taking of Luderitz and Windhoek.

with that a group of military police dragged a screaming shukov away.....

The first contigents of Maritime republican Marines and Paratroops landed on the shores of Luderitz.. They numbered intially 10,000 Troops. with Aerial, Sea bombardment from the Airforce.. and Battle ships "Kalashnikov" and "Togo"

The Hunt for Smutsburg has Begun.....

Resistance in Luderitz was practically non existant for the first day. Marines and paratroops were extremely weary of a trap.. Smutsburg was a clever tactician according to intelligence reports...

Stingray and Heavy battle Tanks were held back towards the beach fronts the atmosphere was tense...

By now, the berserkers' drugs had worn off, and most of them dropped to the ground out of sheer exhaustion, an after-effect of their drugs. Medical teams swiftly moved across the burned-out shell of Windhoek, dodging sporadic gunfire from the rebel forces, getting the worn out berserkers out of the line of fire. The 14th and 27th Mechanized Infantry divisions then entered the city to take the place of the berserkers. Supported by fire from Stingray LBT's and Bradley M2A3's and covered in the air by A-10's and Harriers, they rooted out almost all of the rebel forces and desroyed them, with only light casualties.

Smutsburg lay trapped in his bunker in luderitz chain smoking..... a cianide tablet by his table. His forces did the fighting for namibia the other rebels were weak and pathetic in comparison..... in his personal opinion.

Zeee huahinian and kreynorian coalition forces have consolidated their hold in 90% of Namibia with only the enclaves of Windhoek and Luderitz holding out now....

"myforces will fight to the death.." unlike the pathetic general Van der meers forces. ( he is beleived to be negotiating for a peace settlement with the maritime Republic)

on that thought Smutsburg caste aside his cianide pill and walked outside to inspect his remaining army of 1000 hardline troops...

Boltha van der meer who was hurredly escorted out of Windhoek following kreynorias overzealous Blitzkrieg campaign that literally leveled the city and killed president mahmoud.

with that the rebel military calvilcade dissappeared into the Namibian Sunset.

"Sir!" a military aide rushed through the doors of the Waalvis BAAI Military command centre. General Boltha Van der Meer wants to create a dialogue between us... relating to a peace settlement..

This madeRenko tip his whisky glass over.. he expexted a long drawn out battle from Van der Meer....

when general Renko regained his composure " yes we will establish a dialogue with van der meer call a temporary Ceasefire with his rebel forces and concentrate all our efforts on Smutsburg in Luderitz"

"we have so much to do.. also alert kreynorian and Huahinian Military Leaders of this"

"yes sir!!!!" with that the aide walked out of the room.

Smutsburg had other plans..... hidden away in his Ranch outside Luderitz. after barely managing to escape the Zeeeland onslaught of Luderitz(The city is believed to have crumbeled under Zeeeland military pressure..)

He put on a pair of assassins gloves . his aide had the uncanny resembelance to Smutsburg himself. and because of his anonymity during the war the Zeeeland military forces do not know what he actually looks like. His plan will now fall into place like a jigsaw... I am defeated but I will not go out without a bang. Smutsburg thought with emphasis on that last word...

his aide came in... "you called for me sir"

"yes" Smutsburg said. then stood up and fired twice at his aide.... The aide looked in shock as he collapsed to the floor dead...

Smutsburg quickly changed uniforms with the Aide.... The Aide now wearing all smutsburgs Identification and clothing..

A Trusted guard rushed in hearing the commotion and before he could say anything smutsburg threw the gun at the guard. the guard instinctively caught it... " you fingerprints are now on the gun soldier" " this is for the greater good" the soldier beleived smutsburg..

Smutsburg went on " you and a small contigent of troops will stay at my ranch" and put up a token resistance to Zeeeland forces. When they overwhelm you you will surrender and announce you shot me in a fit of passion.."

Meanwhile i will escape in a disguised convoy that will resemble a Zeeeland military convoy full of Namibian prisoners where I will blow up a huge portion of Walvis BAAI" got it soldier???

Yes sir the soldier said with a grin...

ok I will be going now with my fellow compatriot Major Shukov who still has access to the military zone in Walvis BAAI dont you Major???

Shukov said nothing he only grinned menacingly..

The resistance around Luderitz Crumbeled when news of peace negotiations were happening between both parties...

The Zeeeland mechanized divisions surrounded the city and layed waste to the abandoned city in a pincer movement. backed up by artillery fire from bradys and sergeant yorks..

Chinook helicopters dropped off special paratroops in the city center dodging sporadic Flak fire from the citys remaining dfenses. Resistance eventually grew more fierce in the CBD as snipers took advantage of their strategic positions...

they were however distracted firing at Infantry on the ground while paratroops were landing on the tops of the resisting buildings... crushing the suprised snipers..

within 2 days of relatively quite fghting Luderitz fell to diligent Zeeeland military forces...

News came to Renko and Van der meer who were in peace negotiations at the Military zone in Waalvis Baai that Luderitz had fallen and special forces were being detached to Smutsburgs desert ranch just outside the city...

Renko was not suprised... Van der Meer neither ( Boltha suspected Smutsburg was up to something but couldnt put his finger on it..) "General Renko" I suggest that you use extreme caustion when dealing with Jakob Smutsburg" Van der meer stated. " Smutsburg should have put up heavier resistance in the area, I am deeply suspicious..)

Renko being of similar mind agreed with Boltha.. " i agree Our special forces will deal with Smutsburg very caustiously and i put emphasis on that"

"Now back to the negotiations" Renko, said.

Van der meer sighed but carried on " ok general, I disagree with both parties of the Namibian resistance armies, they would both commit atrocities if either of them held on to power"

" I Assure you Van der Meer" " that wont happen under Zeeeland administration, " we are a transient people, wee need a territory of our own after the collapse of our nation...."

Van der meer thought carefully on this " so you take over ours....you will have to promise to make namibia a multicultural society with no hypocritical government policies."

Renko liked the way Van der meer thought... "come Botlha let me get you a drink.." Van der Meer reluctantly agreed. and within hours an armictice was signed and a declaration was to be made on Zeeeland national television in Waalvis BAAI within hours

Zeeeland setllers allready began moving in.. In walvis BAAI Facilities were struggling with the Huge Influx of Zeeelandish Immigrants hurredly moving out of Zeeelands former territories. It was a sight to behold

roughly 10,000 Zeeeland Immigrants moved into Namibia every two days... The Infrastructure was to bursting point and military engineers had to create temporary arrangements for Walvis BAAIS poplulation of 40,000 Zeeeland Immigrants and 20,000 Original Namibians.

The namibian populace were bewildered and scared as much as the Zeeeland settlers were of them. but the provisional government emphasised that they had to co operate and Launched a Campaign to make WAAlvis BAAI and eventually the whole nation bi lingual whithin 10 years...
