The sun was decending, but the many planes took no notice of it. They were over the Canadian territories belonging to Celtayoshi, but they wouldn't land anywhere on the North American mainland. Instead, their target was the Celtayoshian military facility in Southampton Island. Once there, the mighty C-5B Galaxy landed on the air base as the first of many planes belonging to the Imperial Cottish Air Force that would land there. More planes, men and ships would come to Southhampton Island over the course of the next few days.

Meanwhile the first of many submarines were entering its positions in international water in the Labrador Sea. They would remain there untill either they had depleted their armory, or went out of provisions. Operation Frozen Tundra had begun.

"Ladies and Gentlemen we must interupt that report on the proposed multi-billion CYSC purchase of two heavy carrier battlegroups to bring you a speech direct from the Premiers Office in Ottowa, thank you."

The camera now cuts to the Office of the Premier, a modern building only five years old, but built in a very traditional style. The central window looks down over the sprawling gardens, and beyond to the historic city of Ottowa. Either side of the window was the flag of Celtayoshi. The Premire sat at an old pine desk, a gift from over 200 years ago. He began to address the nation...

"Citizens of Celtayoshi, and of the world. In light of our allies actions against Huahin just north of our northern coast I have authorised the use of Southampton Naval and Airbase for their use. Celtayoshians, do not fear, any retribution by Huahin against Celtayoshi for this will be repelled and will result in a full scale action against the cowardly nation of Huahin. It should be noted that throughout the duration of hostilities Coltand Naval and Air Forces, as well as any ground forces present, will have full use of the area there. However, that land remains Celtayoshian property. Therefore any attack on that island, which our soldiers fought for many years ago, by Huahin Military Forces, will result in severe retribution.
Furthermore, Celtayoshi will assist its ally in whatever way possible, we will not allow a war in our backyard to progress without favourable results. As such, I have authorised the Minister for the Armed Forces to prepare a Celtayoshi Expeditionary Force for deployment in the very near future, and to prepare two more for quick deployment should they be required to bolster forces anywhere.

The Holy Empire of Kreynoria strongly objects to the continuation of hostilities between Huahin and Cotland. This war was started by a misunderstanding over a humanitarian mission. Already, Hawdawg has made a truce with Huahin, so there is no purpose in continuing the destruction of nations. We strongly suggest that an armistice be signed. Until peace is made between the belligerent nations, Kreynoria will provide economic relief and medical aid to Huahin. Also, Kreynoria will launch an economic embargo on Cotland and other nations who support Cotland's senseless aggression.

"Celtayoshi feels that alough a misunderstanding has occured between Hawdawwg and Huahin, which was later recified, it is up to our allies whether they wish to proceed with this invasion. Since Cotland is an esteemed ally of ours we shall support their descion, and will fight to the death alongside them. In these turblent times (OOC:Its a fricken World War) we feel that an embargo against our nation is totally unjustified mearly for supporting an ally. Given a weaker economy which may actually suffer noticably from this embargo, this would be grounds for military action.
The government of Celtayoshi requests that this foolish embargo be dropped, before a more serious situation develops.

OOC: That doesn't make sense. If an embargo is unjustified just because I'm his ally, how would going to war against me be justified just because Cotland is your ally?

Imperial response

The Empire of Cotland laughs at the idle threaths from the tiny nation of Kreynoria, and are not scared of the threaths of economic embargo. If you have no desire of Cottish goods, it is your loss. We have larger and more important trade partners than Kreynoria, and will suffer no noticable loss from your embargo.

Ending of hostilities will occur only when the nation of Huahin is willing to either a) surrender unconditionally to the Empire of Cotland -OR- b) initiate diplomatic contact with the intent to negotiate a truce and end hostile actions.

Further more, we intend to continue this campaign versus Huahin on air, land and sea (both above and below) until either of the measures mentioned above are intitiated.

We await the actions from Huahin.

The preparations continued. The target was now clear to the Cots. They would invade Prince Charles Island using overwhealming forces. They had five battleships, four aircraft carriers, a lot of escort vessels and a lot of soldiers at their disposal. A joint Army-Marine unit would do the invasion itself. Resistance was expected to be minimal due to the island being barely a rock in the sea, but the Cots would take no chances. A full 24-hour bombardment would be conducted by the battleships towards landing sites, settlements and possible enemy locations. The operation was expected to enter its next phase within the next 14 hours.

And since when do I need to have a reason to go to war with you? There are no rules that state that I need to have a reason to go to war with someone. Anyways, I have my reasons. Your attempt to take land near me, me feeling that you pose a significant threath towards me, and your failed attempt to invade an ally of mine.

Just take it like a man and post your forces in Prince Charles Island. I'm gonna invade it if you don't manage to convince me otherwise.

OOC: Cotland is not numberwanking Huahin. The numbers listed are quite legitimate. If any questions exist about anyones forces cast a look-see at the E II Defenses Worksheet with everyones declared military stats. When you look at this the this force he has descending on the Island in question is quite small, compared to what I have just sent to aide North Germania in Africa. In the mean time in the spirit of the debate you have been threatening how large your military structure is for quite some time and have yet to finish the post with its strength. Yes you have a 3 billion population, but for example I outspend your military almost 2:1. Which means in laymans terms my men would are highly trained, highly paid soldiers with the most up to date weaponry available, your troops would be using older weapons and have a potentially lower moral, etc. because of the lack of funding for there support. As it says in the first post of the WW OOC thread and the Defense Worksheet no one has to have a reason to invade, they can do it if they want to. The only exclusion is you can't attack a nation that is devoutely proclaimed neutrality. Since you didn't do that, your lands are fair game. Like it or not Cotland feels the need to invade your provinces. A peace deal was offered several posts back, if the treaty was Huahin initiated, if you don't want blood on your soil I would open that line of communication and try and broker a deal while it is still possible.

OOC: Heres the deal, Cotland may be smaller, but that doesn't mean he will lose, provided he doesn't bit off more than he can chew (attack too much at once). Also, should he get into trouble I will bail him out with Celtayoshi forces, and I am bigger and better funded that you.

"In light of recent events concerning two of Germania's closest and loyalest allies, Hawdawg and Cotland, as well as a nation on peaceful and helpful terms with The Teutonic Order (Celtayoshi), we feel it our duty to protect our allies in their time of need.

Various divisions of land, sea, air, and space lay dormant on Baffin Island. We request that the nation of Huahin agree to a peace agreement, unless that said nation wishes to invoke the wrath of Germania, as being seen in Africa and Europe at the present time.

As Germania is not officially involved at the moment, we offer that a peace conference be held on Baffin Island, under security of the OS-Ordnung Police.

I hope the nation of Huahin realizes the potential for disaster if this offer is ignored.

The Empire of Cotland accepts the offer from our ally North Germania. We shall send Foreign Minister Robert Vance to Baffin Island to lead the Cottish delegation. He shall arrive within 24 (NS) hours along with the rest of the delegation.

The Holy Empire of Kreynoria is pleased that there is to be a peace conference. We humbly request that a Kreynorian envoy can attend this conference as an observer, since we are allies of Huahin. Also, the embargo on Cotland is having no apparent effect whatsoever, and it is now officially lifted. Consider our situation of diplomatic hostility ended.

Celtayoshi will send Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Szilard Klasnov, if permitted, along with a small delegation, to participate in the talks as allies of Cotland and since this has involved use of Celtayoshi bases and territorial waters.

The Foreign Secretary Martin Nicholas Marshall will be sent as the representative of the Huahinian Goverment.
