The Royal Shipyards of Isselmere-Nieland (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=361894), faced with the prospect of lost exports, has decided to offer the Jimnam-class heavy battleship for general sale.

The Jimnam-class offers the same heavy armour pattern of the Europa-class with the efficient firepower of twelve massive twenty-five inch guns arrayed in four triple turrets. A further eight 210mm rail guns on the superstructure and twenty-four 140mm guns provide direct-fire support against smaller vessels and shore targets. The 140mm guns may also be used effectively against low-flying aircraft.

Yet aircraft would have a difficult time against the Jimnam-class in any case. It may be equipped with a wide variety of anti-air missiles, from the Lanneret long-range surface-to-air missiles (SAM) to the Lark very short range SAM. Beyond those are the GWLS.68 gun-missile complexes, equipped with a 35mm autocannon and sixteen tubes for GWS.65 Kite fire-and-forget intermediate range SAM and NLG-30 30mm crew-operated autocannons.

The Jimnam-class's GWLS.35M2 vertical launch system can accommodate a wide range of missiles, from SAM to surface-to-surface missiles and anti-submarine missiles.

The Jimnam-class's effectiveness does not end there, however. It may also operate and hangar thirty-six vertical or short take-off aircraft as well as house two Fettes-class offshore patrol vessels (OPV).

As a command vessel or as a power projector, the Jimnam-class is precisely what a modern navy requires.

This is a very impressive battleship. Our government has recently authorised the expansion of our navy and we would like to purchase three of these vessels.

The price should come to 636 Billion if our calculations are correct.

Many thanks,

Khan Mehmet III, Leader of the United Neuvo Rican Khanates.

Your Majesty,

First, Let me thank Your Majesty for the kind words regarding the design of the Jimnam-class.

Secondly, though the Parliamentary Foreign Armed Sales Commission has expressed some concerns regarding the state of civil and political rights within your glorious nation, it has accepted the sale of three Jimnam-class heavy battleships to your navy. As you had noted, the total cost for this procurement will be $636,000 million. The three vessels shall be completed within 10-12 NS years [i.e. 10-12 RL days].

We at the Royal Shipyards hope that these vessels serve Your Majesty's fleet well and that you will revisit our storefront, listed in the signature below, soon.

Sincerely,

Many thanks, as you could probably understand we are paying a very large amount to you. May we suggest that the money is wired in 10 equally sized sums across the time it takes to build these ships?

Such a large amount is more than likely to attract thieves. We will start wiring the money upon confirmation of this,

many thanks,

Khan Mehmet III, leader of the Neuvo Rican United Khanates.
