A Broadcast to the Sentient People’s Beyond the Void
The lost people of The Kadall have long looked out into the stars for generations believing that they were shipwrecked far beyond the sea civilisation. We have lived tethered to the shimmering harbour of a gas giant in close orbit to a foreign star that was cast beyond the furthest gaze of the original astronomers. Here we have struggled across time to produce from bare, irradiated rock a veritable oasis, a small fraction of the homeworld our people were fleeing. There have been mistakes and disasters, greed and cruelty and all the evils that forge civilisation we have endured to found ourselves a new world.
Centuries of generations after our new home was first sited we now embrace this new world as an old home. We breath the air deeply, drink the waters fully and eat the fruits of plenty that grow from the rich soil. Our world has passed through endurances of war, disasters, famines, plagues and sabotage and still we have rebuilt ourselves as a common, united people linked by peace, co-operation and prosperity. It is now that we have found our voice and find ourselves yearning for contact and so we send this message as our own call to the stars and await, patiently, as we have for so many generations, to hear a reply.

This was originally written as a separate SciFi idea but I’m willing for some deviation as long as it sticks to the general outline. The Year of any personal contact will remain at 550 to account for the time it takes the message to spread across space/to receives a reply/to construct a probe/ship and travel the distance (which may or may not be that far) I would like some Sol contact but I’m open for anyone really. The World Fact Book relates to the leading state on Kadall and not the entire planet.
