The man stepped off the plane. Nothing unusual, as more than 200 more people stepped off that plane at that particular destination; namely Upper Xen. The differences lay in the fact that this man had a fake passport costing more than a high-end buisnessman would make a year, and the fact that he never legally existed had something to do with his manner. He wore a thick brown open trenchcoat, a wide brim hat and a hankercheif around his neck. He looked around and smiled, he would like it here...

A woman in a Chinese dress came up to him and said, "Welcome to Upper Xen! Enjoy your stay!"

She thought his coat made him look kinda funny, but meh.....National Police would get him soon enough.

--------

Meanwhile-

The Russian Mob's leader was very angry.....very angry. Mr. Vakhulinchuk never had lost this many men to the cops or the Mods. Bastards. They would pay.....

He knew that he had to act differently to deal with this. He had to stop the downward slide as soon as possible. He knew of many gangs that ghated the Mods......

....but he also liked to keep his options open.

Hire bikers? Nah. Too expensive, filthy buggers, they turned one of his bars into a rathole. Hire Yakuza? Maybe. But, their presence in Hong Kong was being investigated by the Coppers, so no.

The Triads? Perfect. They shared a similar hatred of Mods, and both loved the ultraviolence. He called up Dragon Chang-he did Vak a favor by offing some nosy NPers-now, he wanted a favor from him.

"Yes?" said Dragon, getting the call.

"This is Mr. Vakhulinchuk."

"Vak! Long time no hear. Heard about your boys.....ouchie. You guys are ususally smoother operators than this, you're, like, P.H.ds and shit. What happened?"

"Can it, Dragon. I did you a favor, and now, I will ask you to help me."

"Name it."

"Will you help us put hte hurt on the Mods?"

"Well....there is no use in jumping on a sinking ship. But, you guys did get me some high-grade X a while back. I thank you for that. But.....I dunno....."

"Come on!"

"Look, don't get pissy.......hmmm.......you'll owe me big for this. BIG."

"Fine......how about, my drug shares? Or perhaps I get you jobs in the Reconstruction Bureau?"

"That's good. We can hash out payment later, meanwhile, we'll help out. I like you anyway."

"Thanks!"

"No problem."

Both of the gangsters hung up.....and Dragon them roused the men from their various activities. They would go to war, soon...

He walked through the busy centre, the changes gradual but a huge effect. His hat went to the nearest bin, and his hankercheif was tied onto his head. His jeans were pulled down a bit and turned up at the bottom and kept walking. He threw away his sunglasses and removed a fake moustache before going into a small resturant to use the bathroom. He emerged with his reversible trenchcoat turned inside out to show a black colour.

He had a job to do, and the more varied his descriptions, the better. In about ten minutes he had hotwired a car, and an hour later the thing has a new feature; exploding. He parked up outside a high-class Italian restaurant, turned off the AC and turned on the C4. He had business with the Concremian Mafia, and rumour had it that they were setting up out here. The business in question consisted of a shipment (or twelve) that the Mafia had intercepted and mockingly set fire to. Had it been counterfiet money, or even real money to some extent it would mean a short-lived gang war, but setting fire to around $30 Billion USD worth of pure heroin was a little extreme.

The Mafia frowned on Drugs, called it 'Dirty Business' and out-right refused to have any part in it. They dealed in weapons, mostly, paid people off with the proffits to open holes and then smuggle in more weapons. They had a few other enterprises; robbery, counterfieting, money laundering etc but guns are where the money is.

As Dragon Chang and Vackhulinchuk plotted their revenge, a different sort of fracas was occuring in Tsim Sha Tsui....

As several Cadillac CTSs drove into the parking garage of the Peninsula. Out of them stepped Vietcong, not your granddaddy's VC, but the Pwnage kind, a kind that had evolved into a highly efficent and deadly criminal organization. They were armed with Pwnage guns, but the guns didn't matter.....

...but the way they entered did. They entered the lobby, and scared the people inside, causing them to flee. Those security men that got in the way were silenced by a hail of gunfire. They soon walked up to the front desk. The leader of the group marched up to the desk and pointed his gun at the concierge, demanding the location of the Yakuza meeting. After some initial denials they, grabbed him in a choke hold, and he gave up the location: Room 704

They soon took the elevator upstairs....

The Yakuza outside soon noticed the elevator doors open. Weren't people told to stay off this floor? Guess not. They cocked their M4s and got ready to shoot.

They were then greeted with gunfire, and despite trying to shoot back, the VC outflanked them and showed them no mercy.

The VC then kciked down the doors to the meet, and soon, the panicked Yakuza bosses were being shot up and weren't even given the chance to bleed like stuck pigs, what with the massive amount of grenades thrown around. Eventually, the VC left as suddenly as they came....

Jothias walked down the street happily enough, unarmed and on his way to meet someone with information on the HKPD Cheif. He stopped on the corner, and looked at an odd man excersizing his trigger fingers, staring at the restaurant door as if he had been frozen infront of it. Jothias walked past him, at the exact moment the man stepped forwards. The man stumbled and looked at Jothias, his 'holier-than-thou' degrading stare turning to a wide eyed gawp. He screamed, loudly, more out of sheer terror than anger as he pulled two AUG-Para's from his coat and started firing.

Two any balistics expert, and most people besides, two large submachine guns with a clip capacity of 32 and a rate of fire around 700 rounds per minute are not what you want to be in front of when the man behind them is as terrified as he is armed.

Barely eight rounds were in the air before a ducking kick put the man on his back foot, and the ninth just slid into a well-oiled chamber as an uppercut found its mark. Tenth, eleventh and twelfth resounded as quick punches cracked two ribs and fractured a third. Jothias stepped back, spun on his left leg and hooked his right, landing it to the side of his head as one weapon dropped to the ground. The impact set it off, emptying itself in seconds as it spun around on the floor firing.

The crowd ducked for cover and shreiked as the attacker stepped back and fired, as Jothias stepped forward, dismantling the SMG with one hand as he broke the mans nose with the other, and brought up a knee for good measure.

A military-surplus steel-capped boot crushed the mans fingers, still clutching the useless gun-become-club. He was on his hands and knees, spitting blood and clutching his stomach before rolling onto his back and passing out.

The meet would have to wait, he decided. He would introduce this man to the J-Mods.

OOC: I'm assuming this guy was taken to the club, so...

IC:

Nakamura was by now, shmoozing with the people in the club, proud of the fact he had dealt the Russians a killing blow. Still, it was inevitable they would make a retaliatory response, so he was on edge; the bouncers got the live ammo not but five minutes ago, and extra Rounders had been assigned to the club.

He saw a man come up to him, and say "Boss....that Jothias is here. He has soembody you should meet."

His eye perked up, and he said, "Fine."

He got up, and walked outside to meet Jothias. He didn't want to bring this inside; he figured enough weird stuff had happened for the clubgoers tonight.

"Hey, how are things, listen." He talked fast yet calmly, the ma over his shoulders. "Put this guy in a room somewhere, somewhere safe with two or more armed guards at the minimum. Do not talk to him or go in the room under any circumstances, and dont listen to a word he says. Not a fucking word you hear me!?"

Without waiting for a response he headed back to his hotel room, and opened the closet that had become his small armoury. He loaded both handguns, put them under his pillows and went to sleep after tipping the doorman heavily telling him to allow no-one in for the night.

Nakamura moved to stash the man somewhere safe. He and a burly bouncer moved the man to a windowless office in the back, throwing him in and proceeding to lock it up, and stationing four elite guards with Combi-Rifles to ensure he wouldn't be able to leave.

----------------

Meanwhile, a Yakuza Cadillac DeVille pulled up to the front of the club, and soon, six men in Armani suits marched in, showing the bouncers out front they were not armed.

They marched in, and asked to see Nakamura in a very curt, businesslike manner. Nakamura agreed to meet them in the back, only after the Yakuzas agreed to allow Nakamura to allow escorts.

They met in a back room, and began to talk shop.

The lead man, who identified himself as Kaz, said, "Just fifteen minutes ago, an unknown force killed a group of top bosses."

Nakamura riased an eyebrow and said, "Well, we didn't do it."

Kaz said, "I know....we know about that little bomb attack. We ruled you out a long time ago. We were perhaps thinking....."

Nakamura said, "...The Russkies?"

Kaz said, "No. They're usually not this bold and assholic with firearms-they like stealth and close up brawls. Probably Triads."

Nakamura said, "Triads. Bastards. They don't do preemptives unless given good reason, right?"

Kaz said, "Yes. That's the bitch. Triads have been at a truce with us since that time in the Lucky Money Casino, Macau. No way they'd hit us now, even with their xenophobia."

Nakamura said, "Hmm.......probably another Biker gang they hired. No witnesses, right?"

Kaz said, "None."

Nakamura said, "Still, this don't seem right. We'll team up, until we learn the straight poop."

Kaz said, "Fine. Oyabun Hanzo will be proud of this."

Nakamura said, "Indeed...."
------------------------

Dragon Chang sat at the end of the runway, his CTS and several guards behind him. He witnessed a LearJet fly in, and land soon enough. Out of it, a woman in a fur coat and accompanied by a squad of men with Kalashnikovs strolled to meet him.

"Welcome, my Russian friend," Chang said in a sleazy voice.

The woman said, "The same, my Chinese friend. I am Lyudmila. Mr. Vakhulinchuk sent me to coordinate his Hong Kong operations with you. Time is short-he expects heads to roll soon....."

Chang said, "Well, it is 2am, why don't we drive you to our Hall first, then get some sleep, and then talk?"

Lyudmila looked at him suspiciously, and then said, "Very well."

The Russians got onto the motorcade, and followed the Triads to their Hall. Their, guns were stored, and beds were made up by hapless debt slaves, indentured by the Triads. With guards on double duty, everybody got to have a wink of sleep.....

"Nice work there boys and girls. Let's see what our haul was..."

The Vietcong surveyed the loot from the attack, which was piled up in a corner in Xuan's office. Credit and debit cards with accounts that were quickly siphoned off, bank account numbers, hard cash, watches, jewelry, both from the dead Yakuzas and from the safes of people that hastily fled their rooms, Japanese sword sets and lastly, the corpse of Hong Kong's Yakuza boss, whoever his name was.

"Now we need someone to perform a delivery... You... get to it."

Xuan waved off 2 Vietcong, who dragged off the boss' corpse and his swords.

A black Vietcong VBL with no plates pulled up in front of the huge skyscraper that was Yakuza headquarters.

A Vietcong fighter shoved the boss' corpse out. The boss wasn't in good shape. His genitals had been severed and shoved into his mouth, his swords were stuck into his anus, and there was a note pinned to him.

"Teeehheee, we nailed you."-Somebody.

The VBL roared off.

The Yakuza guards saw the body, and went, "Motherf**ker....."

They began firing back in the direction of the VBL, but it was gone soon enough.

Now they knew those weren't Bikers.....

---------

Kaz got a phone call. He grumbled back in Japanese, and said to Nakamura, "We got a taunt....some bastard pulled up in a VBL, dropped off Boss Takeshi, or what was left of him. Not Bikers, those guys. Triads, definetly. Or soembody who works for them. The Oyabun won't like this."

Nakamura said, "Well.....we have an enemy. But he as of yet remains unknown...."

Kaz rolled his eyes and said, "Good one, Captain Obvious."

He then said, "So....what do we do now?"

Nakamura said, "Well, we can hit the Triads where they live. Their Hall, in Kowloon. Grab some boys together, we're gonna do a torch job."

------------------

The HKPD was out in force tonight. An army of men and cars had surrounded the remnants of Anton's. The HKPD chief Jothias had targeted, Chief Bronstein, was not impressed.

"F**kers. Don't they know there's a war on? What have we got?!"

A random cop said, "It's the Mods and the Russkies, alright. War is breaking out. We also have another slaying, at the Pen. Six Yakuzas, rendered into mush. We'll need CRASH for this one."

Bronstein rolled his eyes. This was gonna be a long night.

"Not bad... I wonder who they think we actually are?"

"I have no idea, the Triads perhaps? After all, we are using the same guns."

"True, true. There could be a chance that the Yakuzas are gonna go after them though."

"Well er.... permission to speak freely ma'am?"

"We could, but we won't. We can't go around shooting everybody and the cops are sure as hell not on our side."

"ARGH!!!" He shouted, sitting upright and pointing one gun at the door and one at the supposedly bullet-proof window. He was breathing heavily, drenched in his own cold sweat. Jothias got up, and went into the bathroom. He stood infront of the sink, and washed his face with cold water, taking a drink back to the bedroom.

The grey lines in his back were more prominent than ever. He was shaking, his left hand still clutching the gun, his knuckles were white. Not now, he thought, I dont need this now. Jothias got dressed and checked the clock, 3:04 AM. he was not one to waste time, and decided to distract himself from the nightmares by killing the HKPD Cheif tonight.

He was distracted, not thinking straight. The blunt approach would be best, as it would be morning by the time he had bypasses security systems and personel. Still, no need in drawing unwanted attention he thought, as he fixed a silencer onto each handgun and walked inside the station.

His information was right, a drugs bust tonight, along with the Triad/Mod war had required the cheif to sleep in the station incase something exploded when the Russians tried to bring their tactics into gang warfare.

Jothias put on a balaclava, and walked right through the building to the Cheifs office at the end of the corridor. It was deserted, bar a few cops looking for overtime pay. He walked into the CCTV video room, and after persuading the technician to hand over the tape, he left the man unconcious under the desk.

He opened the door silently, noting around 30 empty polystyrene coffee cups, and the standard-issue shotgun being cradled by the sleeping cheif.

He then heard that Caddy coming too. He said, "Shit....that's a DeVille....."

He screamed at the guards, "Mobilize! Wake up the others. Get the M2HBs out. Get out the good stuff. It's playtime!"

Triads of all kinds were roused on command, and soon, enough machine guns and RPGs to kick the North Korean Army's ass were rolled out, and thugs took up sniper and defense positions.

Lyudmila woke up, and summoned her retinue. She then looked out the window and yelled to Dragon, "What's going on!?"

Dragon said, "Look, the Yakuzas-"

Lyudmila said, "F**K! Get me out of here!"

Dragon nodded to two men, "Get the escape Avalanches. Get Lyudmila out of here."

They soon nodded, and a Chevy Avalanche fleet soon drove out of the Hall, with Lyudmila and her retinue moving towards a Triad safehouse....
----------

Sure enough, a fleet of Cadillac DeVilles packed with angry Yakuzas and a horde of J-Mods on Vespas and Land Rovers was speeding towards the Hall. They were armed with just as much heayy weaponry as the Triads, as hordes of angry men cradled L1A1s, Combi-Rifles, M79s, M4s, M60s, Ultimax LMGs, and other guns of British and US and Singaporean make. They were grimacing, and making vows to divvy up various kinds of stuff, Triad women, or drugs....

The Yakuzas and the J-Mods, sure enough began a series of dirve-bys, taunting the Triads by zooming in circles around their Hall and firing machine guns. The Triads soon began firing their own machine guns back, and the shooting started in earnest.

After five minutes of drive bys, the Yakuzas and the J-Mods braked their cars in a sudden halt, and well dressed goons from both gangs tumbled out in tactical rolls and began unloading clip after clip into the Hall. Teams were sent to try to blow open the entrances to the Hall in imitation of SWAT tactics, which were barricaded and guarded by Triads with M2s. RPGs, flashbangs, and Ultimax fire was exchanged with the M2s and M79 grenade shots, making much noise and ruin.

The Yakuzas and the Mods were pouring a lot of men and firepower at the Triads, but to their credit the Triads were no slouches either, stubbornly refusing to give up and making the Yakuzas and Mods pay for every inch of their Hall. Internal passageways, pool halls, arcades, cubicles and rooms for "rendezvous" and gambling areas were turned into shooting galleries. The rumbling of the explosions and the fires from the RPGs and the WP rounds the Yakuzas were pouring liberally into the structure could be seen all the way from the Star Ferry.

All the while, a force of 60 VC in 10 VBLs was storming towards the Hall, blitzing through Hong Kong traffic and driving like a kid playing Grand Theft Auto blindfolded. They knew they had to bail their new benefactors outm so they decided to send the Yakuzas and the J-Mods a message. The ten VBLs parked at the site, and out poured the VC, who moved in close, machinegunning the Yakuzas and Mods and even slicing their throats in two.

The Yakuzas and Mods weren't expecting this; whoever these new guys in BDUs and black were, they weren't pushovers. Soon, a violent melee occurred, with the Mods and Yakuzas trying to beat back the VC, who just wouldn't quit. Eventually, with severe casualties, the Yakuzas fled, and so did the Mods. But there was a nasty surprise in tow....

....as the VC had sealed off the roads leading away from the Hall with two Ford Explorers, rigged with C4, 40 pounds of it. The Yakuzas/Mods tried to avoid them, but the massive explosions created by the bombs did most of them in, leaving those who could navigate around rubble and fried car, and with relatively minor injuries, to flee.

The Triads had sustained this assault. But they had lost 60 men doing so-good men that wouldn't be easy to replace. Also, their Hall had been severely; an act that was not going to resonate well in the Triad community. But they also knew that at least 50-70 Yakuzas and 50 Mods were killed. And, their Russian contact was alive.

What a night, huh?

A Chinese woman in a leather trenchcoat and with a face that belonged in Vogue arrived at the Club. She walked in, and asked to see Mr. Nakamura. The bouncers were somewhat recalcitrant, but after she grabbed one of them, and twisted his arm, they backed off.

She waltzed in, and kicked down the door. The guards inside were tirgger happy, they cocked their guns and aimed them at her. She said, "Now boys. Don't kill yourselves, y'all hear?"

She then waltzed up to Nakamura's desk. Nakamura ran in screaming, "What the f**k is this!?"

He then saw the woman, and went, "Hello, Jen."

She pulled out a cigarette, and lit it using a long handled wood kitchen match. She said, seductively "That's Lieutenant Kiang to you, sugar."

Nakamura gave her a very infuriated look, and sat down. She twirled the seat forward to face Nakamura, who said, "Jen, you know not to come in the club during business hours-use the back!"

She scoffed, saying, "You stole that from, me, didn't you? Look, double entendres aside, you remember our agreement, right? The one that said gang wars stay quiet?"

Nakamura said, "Yes?"

She then put down her cigarette and said, "Well, then. Tell me what explains the explosions I've been hearing tonight. Something happen to one of your girls? Drugs stolen? Wrongs to be righted? I've heard this before."

Before Nakamura could speak, she said, getting a little angrier, "Lemme finish. We agreed that gang wars would not involve civil casualties and military explosives. We agreed that nothing makes the press, so nobody complains. You make my job easier, I'll make your life easier. But now, I have an old Russian Jew telling me to haul your scrawny ass to jail-nay, to have it shot. Where's the love?"

Nakamura said, "Look, the Russkies were going to use C4 on me. They didn't obey your compact."

Jen said, "Well, somebody detonated those explosives, and somebody fought that big rumble afterwards. Hell, I could see that other hugeass rumble you guys just fought, and I was watching Stargate SG1, in my apartment in Wanchai!"

She then toned her voice down, to a tone that begged and yet was threatening and firm at the same time: "Look, I'm not asking you to stop, I am asking you for a little accountibility, okay? I don't want to come here again like this. If I do, I'll bring SWAT and NP, who will have no qualms about giving you a closed casket funeral. Got it?"

Nakamura said, "Fine......sugar."

Jen then slapped him and said, "Real nice. That's my line. Remember the agreement; Mama doesn't want to have to spank you."

She smiled, and winked at him before leaving.

Leo spread the photos out on his desk, each showing Jothias walking into and out of the gun store in Upper Xen. A third had him walking out of Gerry's bar, his jacket hanging open to reveal a handgun. The fourth one was him climbing a fire escape to get to a roof, and the fifth was different.

It was different because some extra... details.

"Hey, Simon."
"Yeah boss?"
"Who the fuck doodled on my picture?"
"I dunno, could'a been... Frank, I guess..."
"Then why is he waving a flag that says 'Simon rocks' dumbass?"
Without waiting for a reply Leo shot him dead, and went back to his work. To say the Concremian Mafia was intollerant was a huge understatement. It was rumoured that he got through more bodyguards that any crime lord in the region, and that was the one thing they had in common with the Police. Zero-Tollerance.

"So who is this guy?" Leo asked
"Its Jothias Sangus, i think he wanted in." Replied Frank
"So why isnt he? He helped get rid of the triads."
"True, but he is one of them."
"One of who, the triads?"
"No, them, before he fell apart."
"I want him dead." Leo resolved, his word was law and it would be carried out to the letter.

Nakamura got a call soon after Jen left. The damn Triads had torn his men to pieces, and they had gotten some new f**ks to help them out.

These new guys were different. The caller described them as "violent muthas," who were mercenaries or some s**t like that. Throatslitting, shooting, even the odd carbombing; these new guys wouldn't quit.

But, he did get one clue. They spoke Vietnamese......

Nakamura hung up. There was only one gang that had ninjalike moves around here that spoke Vietnamese. They technically weren't Xenizen; they had supposedly just moved in. They were Pwnage Vietcong; either agents acting on their own or mercs hired by the Triads to cover their scrawny asses.

Nakamura said, with one word: "F**k." He knew that he was in serious trouble. Word had it these guys were REAL Cong, the kind that the Xenizen Army had tried to tear up not but 30-40 years ago. The kind that snuck about, blended into the shadows, etc.

He needed some real help. He decided to make soem phone calls. He had money, the Yakuzas had cash. F**k what Jen said, this war was gonna be as hot as all hell, if that's what it took to ice the VC.

-----------------------

Nakamura then met with IcT and Sitha at the bar, and said, "IcT, I want you to ascertain the whereabouts of one Dragon Chang. Sitha, once she does that, I want you to rig a car bomb near his apartment. Capice?"

----------------

Dragon Chang decided to rebuild his Hall. He knew that despite this, the Yakuzas would surely counterattack. And, he knew that they'd come with more of everything. Not cool.

He began talking to Xuan, saying, "That was some serious s**t....thanks!"

Xuan said, "Don't mention it."

She then said, "You need anything else, let me know."

Xuan stayed for a bit to help clean up, but then left afterwards along with the other Triads and VC. Good thing; the cops came.

They combed the Hall, looking for Triads or any drugs or ammo. However, they found nothing, only some charred marijuana and some rusty old muskets.

-----------------

Meanwhile, at the Temporary Triad/Russian Mafia Hall-

Dragon met with Lyudmila and Xuan to discuss retaliation plans. They agreed on the following:

1. Somebody had to fix the Triad Hall, and get new stuff for everybody. That raid cost the Yakuzas a lot, but it did a number on the Triads too.
2. They had to get the Yakuzas/Mods back for their assault.

With that in mind, they began plans......they knew the Kabuki-cho was the HQ of the J-Mods, but Nakamura had it fortified with Kevlar paneling in the walls, guards, and even drone guns. They decided to hit an important Mod distribution center in the Docks, near Freeman Harbor.

Soon, Triad, Russian, and VC soldiers began prepping for the mission.

As the shenanigans in Hong Kong were playing out....it was a different story in Macau.

The lights had gone out for a moment in the biggest casino in town, the Casa Formosa, then they had turned back on. A lot of people were freaking out, and for a moment, people murmured in shock as the sudden power failure stunned them.

Unbeknownst to them, a force of Vietcong, disguised as J-Mods, was raiding the safe. They had placed scramblers in the video cameras; the cameras saw empty hallways and an undisturbed vault in lieu of well-dressed men toting British guns (with great displeasure; but they had to keep up appearances) like they owned the world. VC began attempting to crack open the safe, usign a laptop computer and the occasional block of C4. Teams of men patrolled the hallways, and gunfire could be heard every so often, throwing the gamblers into a panic.

The casino struck back; they sent heavily armed guards with M16s and M60s to try and stop the VC. However, they put up a valiant defense, using urban assault tactics, hiding in the ducts, throwing grenades, sniping away and sneaking up behind their adversaries and cutting throats. Eventually, the VC broke in, and they began putting the money on large carts. After they were done, they soon began hightailing it, firing back at the casino guards and the SWAT team that had decided to intervene. They ran to their Land Rovers, and stashed the money in them, driving off. A chase ensued, but the VC ultimately were able to get away, using smokescreens and plenty of creative driving, plus the well timed respray and the fact they switched vehicles and clothing to return to their original VC scheme. They stashed the money in a warehouse outside of town, and got away, scot-free.

This was only the beginning. That USD$400,000,000 was used to hire more men from Pwnage Vietnam and Hong Kong, and to begin to import more guns and ammo and other necessary tools of death. They told the Triads and the others to stand down; they grumbled, but they figured they needed to "tech up," to use RTS speak; the VC seemed to know what they were doing. The new targets were going to be the rich prostitution houses of Wanchai and the district of Quarry Bay, whose xenofauna-infested housing projects concealed some of the best streetfighters and most feared shootists in Upper Xen. Hiring the Quarry Bay Boys meant that they would have a powerful ally in the war versus the J-Mods; the Quarry Bay Boys were C-Mods, not good friends with their Japanese cousins; controlling Wanchai meant a license to print money, what with all the prositution there. The docks were nice too, but the VC were willing to give the Russkies and the Triads a cut of the cash, say half, and a discount for the Triads in exchange for the alliance.
Now...to hit a Yakuza funeral.....

The VC sent put some scouts to search out the grim streets of Hong Kong for some answers on where the Yakuza funeral for Boss Takeshi was going to be held. Every bar they went into, they left it in a mess-a warning to those who knew to give up their secrets or die.

A random Yakuza finally broke his silence under the threat of castration, and said that somewhere in the New Territories, the Boss would have his ceremony in temple, and then have hte body flown to Japan for burial. One left nut later, the man confessed, and said that it was at the Tai Po Temple.

The VC smiled. Now was the time to do some more dropkicks.

------------

A large army of Yakuza and J-Mod men stood guard. They stood guard, with plenty of guns. They were going to retaliate, but the higherups told them to guard the ceremony and escort the funeral procession as it went to the airfield.

Unbeknownst to them, a team of VC snipers, armed with the best sniper rifles in MassPwnage and soem Barretts for good luck, was stalking them. They had assembled outside the temple, dressed as locals, skulking about in the bushes. They had rigged Claymores and AT mines as insurance on the roads, God help any civvies that got in the way. They focused in on their prey. So many bigwigs.....

They leveled their rifles, and zoomed in. Then, triggers were pulled.....

Several Yakuzas and J-Mods fell, their heads exploded like pinatas. The panicked bosses began scattering into armored limos, but a few were felled by the VC's merciless grip. Limos began driving away, only to be hit by numerous explosions, and go up in flames or disabled, forcing their occupants into the sights of the VC. The Yakuzas and J-Mods brought countersnipers, a war soon broke out as the VC were engaged in trying to hunt their foes, bringing in reinforcements. The enemy was putting up a damned good fight, but the VC were prepared to do the same....

---------

Meanwhile, Lyudmila went to Quarry Bay. Dressed in galoshes and a raincoat, she kept a gas mask to keep out the noxious fumes from this area. The district gave a sense of despair and grimyness, permeated by the filthy look of the streets and the xenofauna growing about. She wanderered up to one building, and knocked.

A man opened the door and said, "The hell you want?"

Lyudmila said, "No way to treat a lady. I am looking for Jonas Malone-Wong."

The man looked around and said, "F**ker hasn't paid his rent in years. Still, he's here, with his hoodlum buddies. I'd chase em out, let the bullsquids and headcrabs eat em, but they have the big guns, no way. Get in, before you become squid food."

The landlord let her in, and took her to Jonas' apartment. All over, the sounds of domestic disputes, anger, the smell of pee, and the sound of loud rap music blared out. She knocked on Jonas' door.

A scrawny man said, "Hello?"

Lyudmila said, "I am looking for Jonas Malone-Wong."

The man said, "Are you a cop?"

She said, "No.....I am from a very powerful association that has an offer you cannot refuse."

The man said, "Get in."

Jonas' apartment was filthy, full of pop idol posters, random porn, and messy shelves that barely stood together. The floor was passable, but not the best. He sat down and offered her a can of Guiness.

Lyudmila said, "No thanks....I have coem to talk business. You know the.....Quarry Bay Boys?"

The man said, "Know them? Well, since you are from a group with an offer I can't refuse, I'll say this. I am them. I run them. I am Jonas Malone-Wong. And you're looking at a man who can off a headcrab from 600 feet with a Colt .45."

Lyudmila said, "How would you be interested in fighting the J-Mods?"

Jonas said, "Possibly. Those guys have been shaking down my people. Bastards have the Drug Unit in their pocket, they get HKPD to harass us, take our drugs, and then resell them to the posers for cheap. How much you paying?"

Lyudmila said, "A lot. How does USD$200,000 sound?"

Jonas said, "200,000 American? I'll think about it. Wanna come back later?"

Lyudmila said, "Sure," and left.

OOC: Well, if this doesn't work..........tell me. Sorry about the late reply, not sure if this is too late, but apparently, I thought this was for Theao.

IC:

Dragon Chang, meanwhile, got inside his car. He didn't know what was going to happen, but as we walked nearby......

...he was engulfed in a massive explosion, large enough to engulf several city blocks.

------------

The VC soon decided to end this, right here, right now. They fired one last volley of rifle fire and grenades into the ranks of J-Mods and Yakuzas, before fleeing.

The result was disasterous. A huge group of Yakuzas and J-Mods was killed off, some 70 at least. About 20% of them were major officials and minor officers. All in all, the Japanese Coalition was left to clean up....and bury more bodies. That, and plan revenge.

----------------

Lyudmila told Xuan, sure enough, that the HKPD Drug Squad was dominated by the J-Mods. She in turn told Dragon's subordinate, Thunder Tam. This was going to lead to any number of conclusions, all bad. They had to disable Drug Squad, and eliminate it, so that the Quarry Bay Boys would be able to function.

They first got some help from inside. There was a growing discontent with the Commissioner, Nemerov, who ran Drug like a kingdom within a city. He lived like a prince, growing fat off of his devil's alliance with the Yakuzas/J-Mods. A force of officers was determined to bring him down, however, for all the wrong reasons. This the Triads learned through their corrupt contacts in the HKPD; this was their chance.

The VC and the Triads soon began courting friends inside Drug; especially in the anti-Nemerov circle. Before long, personnel tied to Nemerov began either dying by the hands of VC assasins or found themselves facing indictment for any nubmer of crimes.

-------------

The massive crime wave was not ignored. Indeed, in response, an entire force of 50,000 was moved into the area, and martial law was declared. The President had seen the effects of the act of violence, now he wanted them over.
