Semi-Secret IC:
Deep in the heart of No Endorse space, an outpost guarded an insignificant star system. The star of this deserted system was too small to catch habitable planets in its field, and too dim and electromagnetically unstable to allow for economical placement of orbital platforms. Instead, this outpost hung on to the outermost fringes of the star’s gravity, correcting its course every few months with a slight burst from its weak ion engine array. It had been this way for generations; the station was so old that some parts predated No Endorse itself. Archaeologists had long ago come and gone, and come and gone to this station, and this station had become nothing but a blip on the star charts and a living hell for the few rejects tossed to monitor it.

But now, something new was going to happen, something that had not been done in this system for ages. A strange, modular looking craft drifted slowly into the system, having come out of hyperspace well away from the star. Trailing not far behind, a fleet of hyperspace inhibitors began to deploy around the system, preventing unauthorized hyperspace entry. Several cruisers and their support fleet waited in a nearby staging area, on standby for action.

“Heartland Station Beta-12 to Research Vessel Andra, you are clear to proceed.”

“Roger Station Alpha-52, we are preparing to release the device.”

Suddenly, the center of the modular craft began to separate from the other two components. The bow and stern docked with each other and left the system quickly. The central section, a doughnut shaped object about two hundred meters in diameter, continued on an agonizingly slow course towards the star. Finally after several hours of riding on its stored momentum, single burn rockets on the unit’s sides placed it in a high orbit around the star.

“This is Research Module Prometheus to Heartland Station Beta-12, we are ready to proceed.”

“Heartland Station Beta-12 acknowledges, begin the primary sequence. This system is certified to be clear of any persons, and all hyperspace inhibitors are working at full capacity. We’ll see unwelcome guests way before they can get here on sublight.”

“Standby…three…two…one…sequence commencing.”

Immediately as the radioman said those last few words, the ship deployed several massive antenna arrays and strange looking panels.

“Static discharge and quantum rift detection systems deployed, all systems show greenline. Proceeding with sequence.”

Onboard the ship, a man in an orange jumpsuit flipped several switches. Wiping sweat off his forehead, he studied a dozen readouts at once. All told, there were seven stations identical to that one all over the sphere, each looking at a different sector of the experimental device onboard. All seven flipped a red switch simultaneously.

The temperature skyrocketed.

Quantum shifts opened up in the heart of the massive device.

Space rippled almost imperceptibly around the ship, and then everything stopped. A stable temporal field had been established, and it glowed blue in the hole through the device. Static discharge shot out of extended plates, and the antenna began to vibrate with a low hum to those inside the ship. A small metal slug (ooc: 10 cm in diameter) was cast into the field under the watchful eye of many technicians. But, the same object was detected about a football field away before its former self entered the gate.

“This is research station Prometheus, the experiment was a success.”

Multiple readouts were printed out, and the rest of the ship hypered back in. The bow and stern reattached to their respective parts of the doughnut shaped monster, and began its tortuous journey to the rendezvous point with a hyperspace beacon.

Experiment A02-6782

Document: 001 “Summary”

Conclusion: Success

Occurrences: Slug was successfully transported through, but only went back in time about three seconds. No improbabilities or paradoxes created. All quantum levels read normal on all scanners, except for an infinitesimal fluctuation at the point of warp, less than the fluctuation caused by a type “A” hyperdrive. (See attached document 014, section II) Coils 2 and 5 had imperfections detected in them during sequence and were deactivated. Coils 3, 7, 13, 20, 35, 42, and 49 overloaded due to feedback. Failsafe activated flawlessly, activating backups and balancing power. Coil 100 (main projector coil) showed a strange energy flux following the visible ripples in the gate. Unknown cause, suspect it was an instability in the rift.

Observations:
Energy levels stable until rift created, at which point energy levels dropped and then rippled, while power draw increased exponentially. Postulate that refinements in the process can generate less energy draw. Postulate that less power will preserve the integrity of coils, and that higher quality coils can be manufactured with the data collected.

Recommendations: Repeat experiment in a different area with recommended modifications, including but not limited to: increased reactor output, increased coil quality, increased portal size, increased size of transported object, increase in jumpback time. (See attached document 007, sections I-XX)

::annoying news station theme song::
"This is Sanctuary News Network, your source for news anywhere in the universe."

"Welcome to S-N-N, I'm Lynda Harpie.

Top story today: the newest in No-Endorse technology! Sources in the government and official spokespeople have confirmed that a successful but primitive time machine has been created. It was able to transport a ten-centimeter metal slug back in time about three seconds, and transport it about a hundred yards away.

::a highly stylized and photo shopped image of the time machine pops up::

Our Jennifer Halsey, the Minister of our Military released a statement about the project earlier today, as well as a highly censored version of the results of several recent tests.

::cut to reel of a press conference::

“… this machine has been developed purely for research purposes. There are no plans to utilize temporal weaponry in the near future. However, we are examining the military and civilian uses of this development, and there may be a change in our stance in the not too distant future. I would like to reiterate however, that our program is currently highly experimental, and it will be some time before this technology is reliable enough to develop any significant regular use of it. I’d like to introduce Dr. Elizabeth Firenza, leader of our temporal program, who will answer any further questions.”

How could this technology be used? How will it develop? More on that later. And also coming up, the newest in fashion: hoverclothes! The user doesn’t feel the weight. Unfortunately, if you don’t charge the battery, they tend to fall off. And are we eating right? The health council on Ballista Prime doesn’t think so. We’ll take a look at their recommendations and some helpful tips from our own correspondent. First, the weather, and then a word from our sponsors.

Ooc: I guess if you can detect ancient and inefficient hyperdrive arrays that kick off a whole lot of ambient energy, you can detect this. The device itself is a hypergate that has been heavily modified. The exterior size of the ring is 200meters, with the hole in the center being about 20 meters across and the ring structure being 90m thick. The other two parts are just modified utility shuttle components, and are unarmed. Note that it is unable to hyper around with the ring unless telemetry is provided by a nav buoy system, because of uneven weight distribution, etc.

High Admiral Veers, leader of the No Endorse military, walked calmly onto stage. The time is now, the point of reconing has come. No longer will No Endorse hang in the shadow of isolationism and be overlooked. A new power is rising on the crest of this new technology, something that can revolutionize this sector and place No Endorse on par with nations many millinea older. Adjusting several of the plethera of microphones in front of him, the Admiral began to speak to the multitude of cameras.

"Fellow members of the Galactic Community, brothers, and my fellow countrymen. No Endorse is beginning on a quest that many have taken before us. We are about to foray into the field of Temporal Technology. It is an area that the two Races have not touched since the great days long gone, before the Four Terraforming Disasters. As such, we are looking for a nation that can help steer us in the correct directions, but not be overlording and cruel. Any nation out there who would wish to take an advisory position to aid our project head would be more than welcome. We would be willing to open diplomatic relations, trade, and even other areas.

We do not, however, want an overlordish relationship. We don't want to be forced into using someone elses technology, nor do we want to have blueprints poured on us. We would like to know what will kill us if we try it, so we won't attempt to implode our sun or something.

Any interested diplomatic envoys are more than welcome to come to our homeworld, Sanctuary. If you do not wish to meet in person, we can arrange a time to talk over a secure Holonet channel. Coordinates to Sanctuary are accompanying this transmission. Thank you for your time, and we wish anyone coming to our humble home a safe trip."

Temporal Accord. Keeps track of the time line, offers a standardized system for temp tech. Of course, that statement of yours kinda rules out the standardized weapon systems/drives/shields/etc. used by said organization...

well, you can send a diplomatic envoy or just send transmissions, since pretty much everyone with a holonet got the message or the news report. You'd have to be FT though... something I should have added to the thread title

Captain Larson of the MSV Contraband had his orders. A "diplomatic mission" to the site of the temporal "incident."

He hated anything to do with time travel, and he hated anything to do with diplomacy. Being a hardened combat vetern he had been up against alot of different weapons, but nothing that had the potential of erasing him from histroy.

Contraband glided through space as it neared it's destination.

Once there it wouldn't dock immediatly, sending over an APC (uparmored shuttle) with a group of Marine's and scientists first. And then possible docking later, if allowed.

A radio transmission crackled through on several hailing frequencies. "Incoming craft, this is No Endorse defence station Sakura. Please state your buisness. If you are on a diplomatic mission, please follow shuttle Cyan 0428 as it guides you to the appropriate path. If you need repairs, please signal either us or the shuttle, and we will make accomidations. If you are hostile, be advised that you may still leave this system unharmed."

The small shuttle Cyan 0428, one that usually worked on defence stations because of its 'Cyan' designation, maneuvered out to greet the new arrivals.

IC: Larson stood up on the bridge. For a second he considered what to do, "oh yeah, that's right... we're diplomats now."

"Communications, send the following."

This is the Tactical Escort, MSV Contraband, we are coming in as a diplomat for the... temporal project? Anyhow, we're not hostile. We'll follow your shuttle in now.

Contraband slowed down somewhat and brought it's running lights on, just to make sure any roaming shuttles didn't run them over on their aproach to the objective.

Although the McKagan Republic is against Temporal Research in general; we are also against the oppressive regime of the Temporal Accord.

We feel that if nations want to seak out temporal technology by themselves then they should be free to do so. See, we think that if only one group has the tech then they will be able to exploit it to their advantage. While if everyone has it people will be less likly to confront each other and risk a temporal world war.

The Republic hasn't developed it yet, but we are making great strives. One we get a complete unit together there is a distict possibility we'll start selling it to other nations to help pay for the project.

Oppressive? Hardly. While I admit some of our members may be heavy handed at times, for the most part the Accord keeps things nice and calm, as it keeps people from erasing things from the timeline or altering it significantly.

OOC: And it DOES keep temp-wanking to a minimum, due to the rather well thought out system. Anyway, the way I see it, the Accord's tech descriptions are more of guidelines than requirements. And since we're run by an actual RL theoretical physicist, it kinda keeps things realistic (well, as possible in this situation).

Subject: Temporal Technology

It is a good thing to see that we are not the first to take this path. While the Temporal Accord is currently unknown to us, many have voiced their opposition to it. No Endorse is steadfast in its stance of not bowing to oppressive regimes. We can grow them at home well enough that we don't need help.
END TRANSMISSION

In the Sanctuary system, No Endorse:
The defence platform utility shuttle Cyan 0428 slowly powered itself to a clear space lane, with the MSV Contraband following behind. Gliding noiselessly through the void, it neared one of the newer defence platforms, and finally came apon a large hangar in its side. The shuttle steered to just off the left side of the hangar and held station, signaling the MSV Contraband to dock.

Inside the hangar, David Archer, the Minister of International Affairs, waited in a viewing tower. Safe from the depressurization of the hangar, he watched as a Cyan shuttle held station, signaling its charge to dock. Several security squads were assembling off to his right in a small lobby. Every last one was in ceremonial garb, all wielded ceremonial weapons. There were curved swords, bows, and even something that resembled a razor wire garrot. All waited anxiously for this arrival.

"Flight control, take us in" Larson spoke in a simple voice as he sat his cofee down.

"Have a normal security detail of 4 go to external bay 1. Also signal Jones, she'll want in on this too."

Jones was the ships Chief of Scientific Research on Shiny Things and always went with the captain and his security detachment on diplomatic missions regarding scientific discovery. Her main job however, was testing chemical reactions that caused stuff to go "boom."

A few moments later Contraband had powered down it's engines inside the hangar and the security team, along with the Captain and CSRST, had departed the ship and met up with the natives unit.

ooc: how big is your ship? Just wondering so I can make the dock big/small enough lol.

IC:
David Archer walked purposefully down a ramp to the main hangar floor. He hadn't seen a ship of this make before, and was quite interested in all of its protruding running lights and instruments. Fortionatly, his training prevented this from distracting him from his duty. His jet black suit appeared dull under the harsh flourescents of the hangar, and his security team's armor reflected light every-which-way. Finally, he neared the party disembarking from the Contraband. The security squads fanned out into a formation, and David approached the newcomers, greeting them.

"Welcome to No Endorse. I am David Archer, Minister of International Affairs here. I shall be your host during your stay. Your ship can be serviced here too, easily thanks to the atmosphere in this dock. Our older defence platforms don't have that... though there's supposed to be an upgrade program to fix that.

Now, unfortionatly we were not able to get Dr. Firenza to come greet you. She is currently overseeing a minor accident that occured onboard a utility ship bound for our temporal research facilities. But she will be along as soon as her ship's hyperdrive is repaired.

We have prepared this platform for diplomatic relations and scientific demonstrations. I understand that we even have the smaller evaluation model of our prototype research craft in one of the docking bays. You may go almost anywhere onboard, and we have staff here who are more than willing to give you a tour. Of course, some areas must remain off-limits. Shall I show you to your quarters? Or would you prefer to berth on your ship?"

IC:

Captain Larson walked forward to Archer. "This is quite some base. We've not got anything this big, although the technology is probably the same."

The CSRST walked up beside her Captain. "I've had some Bio Hazard traning, is there anything you would like me to help your scientist with while we're here?"

Waiting for a response, the Captain spoke up. "Well, since we're going to be here for a while, I'll stay on the station itself. Although i'd like to bring a few more engineers and scientific dudes over. They'll want to have a look around."

And yes ma'am, we would like you to confer with Dr. Firenza as soon as she arrives. All of her subordinates are currently out of system. According to her most recent transmission though, she'll be along in less than an hour. I'm terribly sorry for the delay, but her ship had a small collision with a transport earlier, and suffered some major electrical feedback from the shields colliding.

"It's ok. I've sat for weeks before for things like this because someone forgot to have a fuel convoy head to their resupply conplex." Jones said with a laugh.

Larson interrupted. "All have the crew who wants to start coming over here for any tours you have available. As for repairs... we've been having some issues with the reactor transfer matrix here as of late. The Cheif Engineer could tell you more, though."

OOC: Just a sidenote: My Marines like to name everything differently than everyone else just for kicks.

2300 Hours, Camp Bitchie the Bandit

Inside the hangar bay the MSV Contraband set docked and powered down. The ship was running almost completly off the stations power while it was being worked on and the crew were mostly off the ship. Every main hatchway to the outside of the ship was open, as well as a few of the emergency airlocks.

Contraband had been designed with all sorts of crash landing in mind. Water landings being one of them. Along the upper section of the ship 12 airlocks with floatation devices and other supplies were located in the roof of the ship.

Even though the main ships complement had offloaded, a Marine Ghost Recon Team (a less diplomatic group than others), had stayed aboard the keep the ship locked down. They had requested that their presence on the ship be kept quite among the crewmembers once they went to the station.

That was one of the Marine trademarks. Paranoia. As if a vast and powerful nation was going to suddenly invade a small Escort from a nation that barely existed.

The nexted morning the Chief Engineer would probably bring some of the other nations Engineer's aboard to look at his engine. The one that had been shot to shit during the last pirate raid on a convoy Contraband was monitering.

The Marines would watch these engineer's closely, as if beliving them to be a serious threat...

IC:
Inside the massive starship hangar, scientists and technicians began to canvass the ship, looking for anything amiss. Several crawled inside different engine componets, checking for plasma scarring, deformation, and general wear and tear. Several cranes had crawled along the cieling and were aiding in this inspection effort. There was even something that resembled a highly modified AT-AT moving along the bottum and around the sides of this craft, looking for anything amiss.

While the extensive capital ship hangar took up much of defence platform HOME SIX, there was a very nice living area above this behemoth. Extending from a section above the dock, six large arms gracefully extended into the void. Each arm was almost self-sufficient, needing only power from the station's main reactor. It was in one of these arms that the crew of the Contraband was berthed. Tours of the station were quite frequent and well recieved, since the crew was allowed access to many areas. One tour even looked at one of the smaller point defence weapons arrays.

Fortionatly, Dr. Firenza arrived right on time, and called for a meeting of any scientific staff intertested in the newest temporal developments in No Endorse.

"Where would you like me to report to for the Temporal Developments conversation?"
ooc: sry, got back late last night.
IC: The official, usually in charge of making sure that the stuff in the hangar and corridors doesn't decide to go critical, didn't really know anything about any temporal meetings. Why tell a grunt who doesn't need to know? However, he motioned Lt. Jones over to a computer terminal and he did a quick search for anything temporal.

"Well, looks like you're in planning room 16, B corridor, blue arm. You're in A corridor on green arm right now. So you go to the center over there, go up to B level, and just look for the Blue arm. It's to the left I think. Don't go down, because numbered levels are the hangar. Letters are the levels of the arms, which are mainly A, B, and C, or the levels in the observation spire.

If you get lost, then you can go over and touch one of these stripes on the walls. Red, blue, yellow, and green are different arms of the station. Black is the hangar, grey is the center, and white with the black outline is the observation spire. You can also use every blue terminal if you need more help on something, or talk to one of the people going to and fro on the station. Now I have to go and fix yet another chemical spill in the fighter hangar. Hope you find everything just fine."

Jones tried to remember the instructions she had been given as she walked around corridors. She knew what to do, she just didn't know exactly where she was going.

At last she opened a door and walked into a medium sized room where the conference thing was going to be held.

While this was taking place, Marine's from Contraband were walking back and forth from the ship while carrying out various jobs. One of those included getting the ship resupplied. Having a small fleet meant that after a mission you didn't always go home.

A Marine Officer picked a random person to walk up to in the hangar bay. "Yeah erm... we were told to ask for anything we need... can we see about a standard resupply of our vessel over there?"

The officer whirled around startled. After sizing up the marine and realizing where he was from, he stopped toying with the nearby machinery and focused his attention on the guest.

"Well, I'm not really in charge of getting supplies and the like, but I am in charge of making sure that they get to different ships once supplies are here. See that man over there in the orange? The one who just jumped out of the way of that out of control crane. Go talk to him, he'll get you set with everything you need, plus some stuff you probably don't. Just don't get killed, that sucker just knocked a hole in that shuttle over there. I have a feeling that your head isn't stronger than that hull, regardless of how weak those models are.

Oh yeah, unfortionatly we don't have a list of what a ship of your class would need for standard resupply, so we'd need a list of everything. I'm pretty sure we can get everything though, and there are waste recyclers and the like onboard the station if you need to use them too."

"We've been in space for some time now. The food at the last outpost we were at was bad for the 2 weeks it lasted before breaking down into motor oil. Our hydroponics system can't support the fulls needs of a whole ship for that long, either." he continued.

"All about our new device... I prefer this design to others that we've examined though, even if it's a little atypical of some of the things we've heard rumors of. The way this device works is quite ingenious actually. It combinds a hypergate with a temporal gate. It allows us to travel throughout time and space easily, in the same compact gate form we've all learned to love. In fact, I'm working on an upgrade kit that could be added to our current hypergates. They'll look silly, but it's better than frilly lace and pink hearts. Got any specific questions before we go out and look at the prototype? I've got all manners of information that I'm cleared to divulge."

"Thankies, i'll go see if I can work on getting some food now." the Marine said as he started across the area towards the control crane.

"Hello, erm, mister. I'm from Contraband, I was just wondering if we could get some basic supplies and waste removal service here. I can get a list of everything we need and hook you up with the waste ports if you'll be able to help." the Marine said in one quick sentance. "Ya'll don't eat anything weird do you?" he laughed.

"We've been in space for some time now. The food at the last outpost we were at was bad for the 2 weeks it lasted before breaking down into motor oil. Our hydroponics system can't support the fulls needs of a whole ship for that long, either." he continued.

"Woah! Watch your head son," the officer exclaimed, ducking the crane once more. "Big John, try shutting down the power to the crane, but don't space us. Shut the hangar doors before messing with the power! Okay then, you guys need food? Sure, come over here to this terminal and give me a rough crew number, ratio of males to females, normal meal size for each, and I'll get you guys set."

Apon reaching the terminal, the officer looked around, and then spoke much quieter. "Also, I can allocate you boys some Haven Vodka or any other spirit you prefer. Finest in our nation. She'll degrease engines in a flash and fry your liver in a heartbeat. Best stuff I've ever had though."

Jones stood normally, somewhat more relaxed than she would if she were reporting aboard Contraband, though.

"That sounds interesting, no specific questions as is. I may come up with something later, though."

The Marine was now more than a little worried.

"Well, I've got this little PDI (personal data interface) here that has everything you'll need about our crew on it. We'll take some of that Vodka, too. We've got a few bottles of a particular brew aboard our ship that has been known to damage the holding room we store it in. We can trade ya some of that back if ya want."

Dr. Firenza's eyes lit up, a huge grin on her face. "Well in that case, want to take the one we have here for a spin?" Pulling a small metal slug out of her pocket, she continued on. "I have the projectile and everything. We had rigged up a slugthrower on my personel shuttle, but a crane has attempted to finish what my crash started, so we'll be using one attatched to a regular two-seater space tug. Front row seats..."

"So strong it dissolves its holding containers?" the officer asked, examining the list on the PDI, "Well, if we can't drink it, we'll use it for getting stains outa the hangar floor or degreasing engine componets. Hmm... We can get you everything you need. It'll take a few days to get everything rounded up, onto a freighter, and over here, but you can have station food till then. It's better than the border stationmen eat, and much better than some of those freighter pilots stomach. Where do you want it delivered?"

Looking up, he saw a quite hefty man getting ready to open a panel on the side of the crane. "Big John, go over and close the hangar doors. I don't want you shorting out the system and shuting down the containment field. I'll make sure no one gets a new hole in their skull. Cody and Slick Willy, see what you can do with this shuttle. That crazy scientist woman will get hissy if it's not in some semblance of repair soon. I've got to go get this order placed."

"It's not so much that it's that strong. It's that Republican Starfleet got too cheap with stuff other than big guns and armor to get us any good containers. It's safe to drink.... well... you might want to have some of your normal stuff, first."

The Marine shifted his weight. "If you've been around Contraband, you'll know they're are only a few large cargo doors. That's because we've designed the thing like a nuclear attack submarine. It's almost completly invisable in space. We have a small door that has a side function as a escape hatch during a water landing that we take food stuffs on through, alternativly, you can drop it off near our shuttlebay doors and we'll have a crane lift it up."

"Well I was planning that after giving a short talk and answering any questions, I'd take the group in a my shuttle out and show them how our machine works. We have a smaller model in one of the hangars right now. We can't activate it in the station of course, but we can hyper us and the device a short ways out of system and fire this metal slug into it. There are cameras on the device on both sides, so we could tap into them and watch the projectile exit before it enters it. But since you're the only person here and my personel shuttle's been totaled, we'll use a two seater utility shuttle. I've had arangements made for a slugthrower to be bolted to it, and the control will be wired into the main computer system. Is this okay?"

The officer continued to glance over at the closing hangar doors and the hefty man working on the crane, but relaxed once the doors sealed shut. "Sounds like decent stuff. It'd definatly be better than the swill we're alloted, but that ain't saying much.

Well, we can do both cargo loading ways to speed up the loading if you'd like. Need to dump any waste? Cause we can handle that too. Damn... that's a mighty fine ship you've got there... Anyway, you can expect this stuff to come in about three to four days. Some will trickle in sooner, and we can load that stuff while we wait for the rest to come in."

"Yeah, sure. So like, how many times have you done this before? It kinda sounds like the time we did an experiment with a new drive system we were experimenting with. Only problem is the anti-matter got ahold of something and took out the ship and half of a nearby planet. Erm, sorry, I hope this goes better."

The Marine was actually enjoying the conversation, he's still rather be shooting something, but he was glad to be off of Contraband for once even if it was into a shuttlebay for more work.

"It still beats shooting zombies..." he thought to himself before he stopped daydreaming to actually respond to his counterpart.

"Erm, yeah. Our waste system has been backed up for a while now. We've got it under control, but it'd be nice if we got it removed now. If we don't it could possibly end up blowing the whole system. That wouldn't be good. I can have some of my guys help your people get it hooked up to our exterior port now, all i've got to do is get on the PDI."

The Marine shifted his weight.

"Ok, i'll get the Marines to prepare for incoming cargo now," he punched a few commands into his PDI and in a few seconds a series of pops and sounds of gas escaping were heard as 3 doors opened and access ramps slid down. In another few moments the shuttlebay had been prepared for incoming supplies with 2 large cranes brought over to the doors.

"Just let me or one of those Marines standing guard around the entrances know when the supplies are here and i'll get a team out here to start moving it aboard."

ooc: no problems. I'll be gone for next week and the last week of July, with the period in between a toss up on whether I'll be able to get to the internet >_<. I will certainly be able to access from the 5th of August I believe.

Firenza looked over at Jones, smiling a little. "We've done this quite a few times, and nearly gotten the controls perfected. Now we can tune the exit time and location within three seconds and two meters. This smaller model doesn't break down as often, since we're using less energy, but the full sized one will blow a coil every time we use it. We have to have multiple backups, or we'd cause some havok in space-time. This small one though, won't give us any trouble."

If you ever need help, ask for me, Skipper Jack. I'll be there overseeing the cargo loading if you need me. Any of these wall terminals that are marked and any personell here can help you out, though some are more helpful than others. Well, see ya later." Skipper looked up and called out. "Slick Will! Get a lift and get over here and help Big John and I put this thing back in order."

The Marine turned back from looking at Contraband as it's various external ports were opened. Seeing the main cargo hatch open was always cool. The ship was designed to be completly invisable without using any extra energy for an actual cloak. Using the same basic principal of the submarine lines, signals sent to it were either intercepted, altered and bounced back or reflected into so many directions it was made useless.

"I'll be in the shuttlebay trying to get one of our attack crafts operational again. Last time we were in a place like this some wise ass craine operator managed to throw a iron support bar of some sort into our hangar bay and through the engine module of one of our best attack transports. If you need me have someone walk that way and one of my marines will see them, trust me, they're paranoid."

"Sure. Got to go now, this crane is about to get hissy, I don't think the mini-AI likes us messing with its power." The officer turned and started sprinting for the crane's base, and yelled "EVERYONE LEAVE OR TAKE COVER, CODE BLUE! WE'RE SHUTTING DOWN CRANE 0256!"

The Contraband Marine was a bit scared as to why a giant robocrane was getting hissy, so he decided against running back towards the Contraband's shuttlebay that was open where he could see marines with tactical terrain readout devices.

He moved up behind a crate of some sort (OOC: I'm praying that you're not going to say you have no crates.) and tried to get into a better position to see what was about to take place, while not exposing himself to anything that may be getting ready to happen.
