Rotovia

"This morning at 0400 an undentified vessel entered Rotovian soveriegn waters. The vessel failed to respond to hails form Naval Command or to vacate Rotovian territory upon the firing off nine seperate warning barrages.
At 0430 the vessel was fired upon, and sunk. It is unclear whether there are survivors, or the nation to which the vessel belongs. What we do know however, is that the vessel is likely a military ship and that it's presence in our waters posed an unacceptable risk to our nation's security.
No questions will be taken at this time, as more information comes to light, you will be availed of it"

Inside the President's Office the Cabnet sits in semi-circle formation waiting for the nation's most powerful man to enter.
"...what in the hell were they thinking?!"
The booming voice of the President echoes as he charges into the room. Those present sand an in staggered unison respond "good morning Mr President".
"Do you realise it is far too early for this nonsense?!"
The Minister for Agriculture about to response thinks better of it.
"...ok, firstly did we actually sink a warship?"
"Maybe..." The Minister for National Defence begins "We don't know"
"Do you mean to say we may have just sunk a civilian ship?!"
"It is not altogether impossible..."
"Good Lord... all I ask is that we do not commit peace time atrocities in the run up to an election! Is that too much to ask?"
"How shall we proceed"
"Well get some ships on the seen. And by ships I mean Naval Intel, ensure that the military keeps their lips sealed and that the media is kept away."
"What shall we do with any survivors...
"That's your problem Ivana!"
