ooc-This is the war thread. state your troop numbers. YOUR CAMP IS WHERE YOUR NAME IS ON THE MAP. I am using 125,000 men, 400 Mark IV tanks, and 200 F-22's. Remember, this is a simulation.
General Fiters sent the follownig message to his allies:
Let us attack tonight, and deal our enemies a crushing blow. I can attack from the east, on their flank. I can give air support, too. If any of you wish to have Concadorian troops attack over water with you, my men will need transportation. I will send 50,000 tonight to their flank. We will crush them into nothing!

OOC: Just posting the map for now. Thought it'd be good to have it in this thread as well.
OOC: Ximean forces include 25 LHD-1 WASP (http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship/lhd-1.htm) assault transport ships (with full loads of LCACs (http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship/lcac.htm)), 200 V577 APC/IFVs (based on the M2 Bradley IFV (http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m2.htm)), 150 V675 main battle tanks (based on the M1 Abrams (http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m1.htm)), 150 H25 light attack helicopters (based on the RAH-66 Comanche (http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/rah-66.htm)), 100 H44 medium attack helicopters (based on the AH-64 Apache (http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/ah-64.htm)), and 125,000 ground troops. Basic data on Ximean units can be found here (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Ximean_Military).
Oh, by the way, the map gives no sense of scale, so I'm going to assume that body of water is large enough for my big transport ships and, possibly, attack submarines. Assuming we each have 100-200K soldiers to play with, it's a reasonable assumption.
IC: General Crayton left his lieutenants to oversee the WASP transports being loaded with aircraft, armor, and ground troops. He transmitted the following encrypted message to his allies:
I recommend that Hyst mine its territorial waters and Willink deploy attack submarines, with the objective of forcing enemy ships to land at my camp. Their tanks would have to maneuver around the impassable terrain between my camp and Willinks, making them vulnerable to attack aircraft.
If one of your nations can lend additional air support, I wish to attempt a landing at Concador's camp tonight. Fifteen of my transport ships will land thirty thousand troops, one hundred V577 IFVs, thirty V675 tanks, seventy-five H25 light helicopters, and fifty H44 medium helicopters. We intend first to destroy their air capability, and second, to occupy the beach for further landings.

@Roman: sorry, we already have a full compliment of six for the simulation. If any of the others doesn't report I'll TG you. Thanks.
IC:The Hyst Battle fleets gleemed in front naval head quarters. Rear Admiral Thrane revewed the battle fleet with Grand Admiral Thrawn. The stared in awe as the massive battle fleet glided slowly out of port and into the open seas. From their vantage point, they could see the individual marines drilling with the army regulars in preperation of the deployments in the Forum Boredom Simulation. Though he had his doubts about the size of the infantry and the ideas behind the full mechanization of the ground forces, his good ol marines could execute operations with the best. From what he'd been informed the very best of Hyst's elite forces were chosen for this exercise. "Lets how Tzibua handles this one better then DeFray did on that last one." Thrawn commented. "By the by, you've done such a splended job rebuilding our fleets that I am promotin you to Admiral and demoting DeFray to Rear Admiral, you'll head the next meneuver. Make us proud." Thrain was speechless, all he could do was stare upon the last escort ships leaving the harbor...

Behind the grand fleet ploated a large compliment of attack, misslie subs, and the elite submersible carriers. The morning dew glistened off the black wet hulls of the vessels as they cleared the harbor and slipped below the waves...
30 SeaHorse Class Attack Subs
5 SeaScorpion Class Missile Subs
5 Myth Class Submersible Carriers
Asourted upon the flight decks of the carriers, were arranged a large compliment of helicopters, fighters and bombers. They were arange in neat raws, sporting the variety of designs that Hyst takes pride in, the simplicity of function and the advantage of variety...

On board, Admiral Tzibua observed his troops drilling on the deck. He esepecially watched the Marines and mechanized troops, on which the ground attacks would fail or suceed. He knew this battle group would have the advantage of heavy support, but he stilled fretted over on the physical number of personel. His some 5600 Elite Marines were more then compitent, but he didn't see how only about 50,000 Elite Mechanized Infintry could fare against forces almost three times their size...
8000 HMMWVs, 500 Bradley fighting, 400 M-125 tanks, 200 Linebacker AA, 50 A590s trad Art, 50 MLRS Missile Art, 50 Rapier AA, 50 Land Rover Wolfs, and 10Patriot AA Batterys.
Tzibua smiled, he had put together a strong large versitle force, while still keeping under the 200K limit (198K total troops and support).

OOC: I'll TG my allies.
IC: 50,000 men began to move, with support of 200 tanks. 50 planes were being prepped for joining the battle once the troops got there.
10,000 men with 100 tanks formed a trench line facing the water, in case of an attack, withan around the clock air surveillence team. The rest of the men were resting, but wary in case they would be needed, on any front.
OOC: I'm not going to attack until either everyone involved posts at least once, or someone else attacks. I'd like to give everyone a chance to post their starting strength.

OOC: Huge apologies, but I won't be able to participate until Monday night. I want to participate, but if you want to kick me out in order to get this war going quickly, I'd understand. If not, thanks a lot for the patience.

OOC: Saved for number posting (to come)
Tzibua sailed his armada into the lagoon and raded his ships for bombardement. He first set up a defensive parimeter of ships to facilitate unloading of half his tanks and other ground viecless and troops. He set up his entrantched AA systems along the shore. His deployed artilery pieces, tanks and viecles he lined along the far east parimeter of the field of battle. Once everything was set up he broke up the subs into groups of 3; ten with one missile subs and two attack subs, five groups of one sub carrier and two attack subs. He moved these unseen terrors along the edge of his parimeter. He split the suface fleet into two groups, Sending one to the east shore and the other towards the center. The crew were set, the planes were prepped, all that was left was to say the word...
The helicopters were some of the last units to be loaded onto the transports. Crayton had ordered that fifty of the H25 and fifteen of the H44 helicopters be outfitted for air-to-air combat; the rest would be loaded with air-to-ground ordnance.
The troops were all prepared and loaded; most were carrying the standard 30-round AR19 5.56mm rifle with .45 caliber P10s as sidearms. Others carried the 7.62mm MG14 light machine gun or other weapons. They each carried six grenades--four frags, two incendiary. Most wore Class II armor; noncoms wore Class I armor.
In the reinforced command bunker, an aide informed General Crayton that the transports were nearly ready to ship out.
OOC: A boring post while I wait for everyone else to check in...
