Ok, the reason for this poll is I want to see how many people play\know what Magi: the Gathering is so I can decide wether or not to start som RP's based on the Dominarian invasion (from the set Weatherlight on up to appocalypse is the invasion cycle, at least to me it is), the Mirari Cycle, the current Mirrodin cycles, and possibly the Thran\Phyrexian war. So, if you like Magic respond, depending on interest I'll start some threads for the aforementioned conflicts(mostly character RPs inside larger armies) and we'll see how things go from there.

For some reason this response frightens me, it's an affirmative response, but I'm frightened nonetheless...

i've been known to play from time to time, no intrest in reading the novels though, I havn't really played ina while because, it's hard to find a decnt opponent around here. and trying to teach a Yu-gay-oaf player a real game is an exersize in futility.

Well, of course people who play THAT game are dumbasses, although, I must admit that I was young enough to have played the pokemon TCG, but I wised up, now I play M:TG and Warhammer: 40K(necrons and dark eldar, no good players around here either).

You really should read the books, they're short but they're pretty well written, considering the source material(a card game developed in a guys basement), and they are disturbingly addictive(like the written version of crack).

i play magic alot, started when ice age and mirage were around, although barely played back then. If you were to do some roleplaying, maybe the Kami Wars or mirrodin would also be a good block.
