Tension and uncertainty gripped Roach-Busters, as they had since the Generalissimo's recent, unexpected stroke, which had temporarily incapacitated him. Ever since Minister of State Security Chia Neng Lee- a man known for his extremist right-wing views, unspeakable brutality toward dissent, and extreme authoritarianism- temporarily succeeded the Generalissimo as President, things had steadily gone downhill. Anti-government political rallies, previously quite rare, were now almost daily occurrences. Almost everywhere one looked, especially in RB City, there were hundreds, even thousands, of people, mostly college students, waving placards and banners, burning RB flags, and chanting obscenities. Lee's response was always immediate: crowd control police would be immediately deployed to the area, where they would gas, gag, beat, and even kill the demonstrators until they dispersed. However, the frequency with which the demonstrations were occurring, coupled with low morale caused by the uncertainty of J.L.'s prospects for survival, severely crippled the effectiveness of the police and armed forces at suppressing dissent and restoring law and order. Many of the 'shantytowns' where left-wingers were required to live were virtually on the brink of anarchy. Thousands of workers of every political stripe went on strike, demanding Lee's resignation, free and fair elections, and basic civil liberties enjoyed in most of the rest of the world. Murders and robberies were becoming increasingly common. Car-jackings, rape, arson, vandalism, and violent confrontations between liberals and conservatives, young and old, government and non-government, etc., were commonplace. The country was ripe for civil war.
State President's Manor, Draza, Mihailovich province
State President Sergei Mihailovich was wracked by intense emotion as he signed the document with trembling hands soaked and slick with tension-induced perspiration. His heart pounded rapidly in his chest like a West African tribesman pounding a wooden drum. His entire body shuddered spasmodically, convulsively, and he was drenched from head to toe in sweat. He could scarcely believe what he was doing. After all these years of being a tried-and-true patriot, here he was, declaring the secession of Mihailovich province from the Capitalist Confederacy of Roach-Busters. How ironic it was, considering that his two sons were high-ranking, decorated heroes in the RB military, and that in the past he had been one of the federal government's most vocal and ardent supporters.
Still, regardless of his past loyalty, he had reached an ugly conclusion, albeit with great reluctance: it was time for Mihailovich and RB to go their separate ways.
It is with a heavy heart, and with a deep sense of remorse, that I bid you, my dear friends, farewell. In the past, I adhered unceasingly to the philosophy "my country, right or wrong," yet recent events have compelled me to review my outlook. RB is in political, social, and economic turmoil, and things are rapidly going downhill. In the interests of my people, and in the interests of progress, peace, and stability, I do hereby declare Mihailovich province an independent, soveriegn nation. We will be a fully democratic, peaceful nation, respectful of all human rights, even those of Shoobans.
With a shudder, he slipped the document into an envelope, handed it to his aid, and had it mailed to the Roach-Busters federal government.
Presidential Palace, RB City, Stroessner province- 2 hours later
Minister of State Security Chia Neng Lee was in the middle of signing a revised Suppression of Communism, Terrorism, and Subversion Act when one of his assistants ran in, his eyes bulging, his lips quivering, his face pale and sweaty.
"What is it?" he asked laconically.
"Sir, I bring you disturbing news. Mihailovich province has seceded."
"What the fuck!?" Lee bristled, smashing an expensive vase, shattering it to pieces. He stood, and began thrashing and flailing his fists about, roaring like a savage tiger, cursing loudly and profusely, nearly homicidal with sheer rage. "Those...those...bastards!"
"Sir...?"
"Now, of all times..." Lee was muttering under his breath, more to himself than to his assistant. "In our hour of need, we need unity, not divisiveness...and here we have those fuckers seceding...God...DAMN IT!"
"Sir, what should we do?"
"Call Minister of War Lindsey and tell him to immediately deploy 75,000 troops to Mihailovich province," Lee ordered brusquely. "We must nip this problem in the bud, before others decide to follow their poor example."

President Nellis toiled over his daily assortments of papers when his Minister of Defence, Patrick Start, barged into his office. Mr. Start was completely unannounced which was one of President Nellis' pet peeves.
"Start! Why the hell are you in here! I am very busy, and can you not knock. It is very simple. I..."
"Sir. I have urgent..."
"Did you interupt me? Do not ever do that again! I talk...you talk...it is how we have a conversation okay?"
"Yes sir. Okay...I have a situation concerning Roach-Busters."
"Oh. What has happened now. Is J.L. dead? Please don't tell me he is dead because I relly think they are close to democracy but he needs to get out of his comma."
"No. He is still alive, but Mihailovich province has declared itself a sovergn state due to the actions of Minister of State Security Chia Neng Lee."
"I am not surprised. Lee is crazy, but I think we can not get involved because if we are close to the Shooban deal and J.L. might not be happy if we have troops or supplies in the nation at the time."
"But sir..."
"No...unless I find something that pushes me towards helping either side then I am not getting involved at all. Thank you and keep me posted."
Mr. Start left the room in a huff. He really wanted a chance to see the military in action.
President Nellis wanted to help. He really did, but it was going to be difficult to find a justifyed reason to do it.
OOC: RB...do you want to do the J.L. - forced comma thing in another thread. Because I think that is the best way to get my Congress to help you.

Your excellency, please send troops to aid me at once. Minister Lee has gone mad, and is threatening to destroy us. According to our intelligence sources, he already has 75,000 troops on their way here. Please, help!

Mr. Mihailovich, I would like to assist you in this conflict, but I do not have the power to just send my troops away. I will not be able to get the bill passed by Congress to help you unless something big happens. Congress is very anti-war right now. I am very sorry. If you can get me some info that would help than would try. Thank you.

RB City, Roach-Busters
Present Day
He leaned back in his chair as he watched the street from behind a pair of large aviator sunglasses, raising a condensation soaked glass of iced tea to his lips. The café terrace was quiet before the usual noontime rush, and he used the calm to focus his thoughts on various items. He looked down at his wrist and checked his watch. As he did so, someone took a seat across from him, a nondescript gentlemen in a pair of khakis, sunglasses, and a black windbreaker.
“Hope I didn’t keep you.”
He spoke Generian in the style of the Generia City crowd. No different from any of the thousands of other Generian tourists running around the city.
“Not at all.”
The man produced something from inside his coat, and slid it across the table. It was a small black rectangular case. The man in the aviators picked it up, examined it, and placed it inside his own coat pocket.
“These are them?”
“Yep. Fresh from headquarters.”
“Excellent. I knew you’d pull through.”
“I’d watch where you open those though. Make sure the line’s clear, and public if possible. That could have half the RB metropolitan police crashing through your front door if you’re not careful.”
“I know.”
“Look, you realize that this whole thing is off the record, right? GIIS doesn’t want a damn thing getting out. It has to be airtight or we’re all fucked. You know, disavowed, jailed, tortured, the whole nine yards.”
“Relax. We both know what we’re doing.”
“Look, just don’t fuck this up. Your liaisons in Generia City have been breathing up my ass about you for weeks. I’m supposed to be your handler, not your fucking personal devil’s advocate.”
“Jesus, calm down. You’ll give yourself a fucking ulcer.”
“Yeah, well maybe it’s justified. Remember Inkana? That whole thing went to hell because you decided to go off wire.”
“I’m not going to go off wire. We’ll be in touch. For now, at least.”
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Jesus, Georg, I knew they should’ve picked someone else. Why the fuck did they pick you? There’s got to be three dozen other agents just as qualified without the stains. Just my fucking luck.”
“Look, you want a cushy desk job, you can go get yourself one as the station chief’s personal ass-licker.”
“Compared to some of the shit I have to deal with, that might not be so bad.”
“Fuck you. Look, we’re all here to do our jobs, and I intend to do mine. If you don’t want a part of it, get out and they’ll get some other neurotic desk monkey to take your place, but if you don’t want to get deported to some post in a fucking backwater like the Psov station chief, I suggest you quit complaining.”
The other man shook his head, smirking.
“Look, I got you the files, didn’t I?
“That you did.”
“Fine, I’ll shut up. But if you pull something that gets us disavowed, I swear to God, I’ll gut you myself.”
“Assuming you can find me.”
“Just keep it on the level. Clear?”
“Crystal.”
“Good. You hear the latest rumor?”
“Probably. Rumors are my business.”
“Not these kind. Word in the backrooms is Mr. Black was here.”
The man’s eyebrows raised at the mention of the name.
“Interesting. How do you know?”
“He left a fingerprint on one of the low encrypted files in an RB government databank.”
“Impossible. This guy’s supposed to be a pro. He doesn’t leave prints.”
“Not unless he wants us to find them.”
“So he wanted us to know he was here? What for?”
“No fucking idea. Boys at the station have been scratching their heads for two days over it.”
“So, you think some of this might have been his doing?”
“No way to tell. Could be. That guy’s a fucking poltergeist. A lot of GIIS folk still don’t think he exists.”
“The stuffed shirts.”
“Field agents tend to learn their superstitions.”
“It’s kept me alive on several occasions. Still, I don’t know about that guy. He seems to be moving pretty freely. I don’t see why GIIS doesn’t reel him in.”
“Well, what if they can’t.”
“You think he’s a rogue?”
“Possible, but not likely. I think he’s something different, a new breed.”
“You’re talking about a black ghost, a no-liner?”
“I don’t know if I’d use that term.”
“A lot of intelligence theorists say it’s not possible. That they can’t exist within the bounds of an agency, and if they existed outside, they’d go free-wire almost instantly.”
“I plain don’t know what he is, and frankly, I’m not sure if I want to. I say let him do whatever his job is, and we’ll do ours.”
The foot traffic had begun to pick up somewhat, and the café was beginning to fill.
“Look, check out those files. I’ll be in touch.”
The man in the windbreaker stood up and disappeared into the crowd on the street. The man in the aviators drained the last of the iced tea, slapped down some RB currency, and followed, disappearing in the opposite direction.

Southern Salazar province, 15 miles from the Salazar-Mihailovich border
75,000 of RB's roughest, toughest, fiercest, most battle-hardened soldiers were poised near the border, lusting for combat and armed to the teeth. In all, there were 3 Parachute Divisions and 2 Popular Regional Forces Divisions. Hundreds of tanks, cargo trucks, utility trucks, armored personnel carriers, dropships, howitzers, and artillery accompanied the fervently-patriotic troops, who were prepared to die re-uniting their homeland, if dying was what they had to do.
Leading this motley crew was Corporal Fujimori Kishi, member of the Roach-Busters 47th Parachute Division, who had been named supreme commander of the 75,000 forces by Minister Lee. His orders were simple: "Shoot anything that moves, and shoot to kill."
At 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 1, in the Year of our Lord 2005, the 75,000-man military force marched across the border, setting into motion a chain of cataclysmic battles that would make history.

Secret Message to President Sergei Mihailovich:
"Good job man, I'm sick of those repressive anti-commie bastards in Roach Busters flashing their dicks around. Should you ever need help, you know who to call. In fact, here, take $3 trillion as a gift from me, the money has been wired to an untraceable bank account. The PIN is 129-2993A-g932gs."-The Great Leader Li.
The Great Leader turned away from his computer for a second and dialed up a couple of numbers on his videophone.
A greasy looking hippie in rose tinted sunglasses and a hemp poncho named Bob answered.
"Hey dude, what's up?"
The hippie looked around and behind his back then asked:
"This line secured man?"
"It's fuckin' secure... (ooc: intercept this and I call godmode), I'm positive." replied the Great Leader.
"Good, whaddya' need?"
"I want you to join with someone to spread rebellion. I know there are plenty of liberals in Roach Busters... You just have problems with unity."
"Unity? You mean you want us to unite with the Communists? Hell no!"
"Listen to me, that's exactly what you have to do."
Bob looked around again.
"Look, I can't promise you anything, alright?"
"You'll do as I say, I spoke with the head of the RB Communist Party earlier today, Bob, he's willing to extend the olive branch in hopes of reconciliation between the Roach Busterian Communists and the Flower Child movement."
"Hmm... I'll do it then."
"Good boy. Recite to me the plan again."
"The plan is that we stage what appears to be a standard protest... Then when the cops come, we start shooting at them."
"You have the guns we shipped right?"
"Righto there... you got some killer hardware."
The Great Leader smiled.
"Thanks, I designed some of the guns myself."
"Nice... Now what happens when the army units move in?"
"Well, I expect you to time your protest so that you can start just as the military deals with the breakaway province and the foreign invasions."
"Aha... Well, I got some weed to smoke, talk to you later."
Bob hung up.
The Great Leader silently prayed that his plan would succeed.

Kosovich, Mihailovich province- 1:25 P.M.
High in the sky, thousands of paratroopers leapt from Shenyangi DC-117A Scimitar Dropships, descending slowly to the ground upon opening their parachutes. On the ground, troops were already undergoing heavy fire.
M1078 Standard Cargo Trucks unloaded hundreds of supplies, weapons, and caches of ammunition, as thousands of elderly people and small children, who made up the bulk of the RB Popular Regional Forces, grabbed weapons and opened fire on the Mihailovich secessionists.
Mihailovich province was home to 40 Infantry Divisions, 1 Popular Regional Forces Division, 4 Mechanized Divisions, 4 Parachute Divisions, 4 Special Forces Divisions, 5 Armored Divisions, 5 Marine Divisions, and 25 Reserve Divisions- a whopping 1,320,000 men. Lee had hoped that the province would be caught off guard, ensuring a relatively swift victory for the invaders- no such luck. President Sergei Mihailovich had deployed 5 Infantry Divisions, 3 Marine Divisions, and 10 Reserve Divisions near the border, fully expecting an invasion. And now, the RB forces found themselves vastly out-numbered, out-manned, and out-gunned by fanatically devoted troops willing to die the most gruesome of deaths in defense of their new 'nation.'
Thousands of bullets sprayed from every direction, causing windows to shatter, blood to spurt, road signs to fall over, and people to drop dead in the streets. Tanks blasted houses to rubble, as planes of the Mihailovichian Air Force bombed and strafed the tanks, obliterating them. Though the fighting had gone on for scarcely 25 minutes, already more than 4,300 of the invaders were dead, and Corporal Kishi ordered a tactical withdrawal. All prestiges of morale shattered, as grown men dropped their weapons in panic, burst into tears, and ran screaming for the border. A few of the more cowardly ones openly embraced the enemy, turning on the RB invaders just to save their own lives. Meanwhile, hundreds of school children who had been trained in guerrilla warfare attacked randomly and sporadically before dispersing, and elderly suicide bombers hugged invading troops and detonated their devices, killing dozens of invaders as well as dozens of their own men. The invaders, in rage, raped, pillaged, beat, and shot innocent civilians in the most barbarous manner imaginable. Throats were slit, eyes were gouged out, abdomens were disemboweled, heads were severed. The odors of gunpowder and burning flesh were endemic, and hundreds of people became widows and orphans that day. Tears were shed by all sides. The city was aflame, littered with thousands of bloody corpses and crippled and mutilated soldiers and civilians.
"This is hopeless, we need to retreat!" Kishi shouted, while firing at a seven-year-old boy who was lobbing hand grenades at his men. The boy's head disintegrated in a thick, wet spurt of blood that drizzled the pavement, as he collapsed in death.
The men retreated for the border, all the while being blasted to atoms by tanks, shot apart by ten-year-old guerrillas as well as adult soldiers, and strafed by enemy planes.
By the time they reached the border, they saw that the enemy had already mobilized and deployed forces to that area. They were surrounded.
"We'll fight to the last man!" Kishi bellowed, trying to sound courageous, but lacking conviction.
Several hundred men opted for death rather than surrender, shooting themselves with their weapons.
The majority, however, did fight to the death, with ferocity, courage, and patriotism unparalleled in history. They took plenty of the enemy with them, but alas, it was a wasted effort.
Within four hours, all 75,000 of the invaders were dead. More 204,500 Mihailovich civilians had perished, as had 48,970 enemy forces.

In response to your illegal, unjust, immoral invasion of our brethren in Mihailovich province, we do hereby secede from the Capitalist Confederacy of Roach-Busters. We have already consulted President Mihailovich, who has proposed forming the Federal Republic of Roach-Busters Anew, a proposition we agreed to. Henceforth, we, and Mihailovich province, shall be the Federal Republic of Roach-Busters Anew. In the name of democracy, human rights, Shooban rights, civilization, and peace, we demand that you pay reparations to Mihailovich province, resign as Acting President, and implement democratic reforms immediately. Now he just needed to condemn Chia Neng Lee, it was a fairly simple action.

In whatever provinces left, especially the important Pahlavi province, SAVAK special agents the Roach Busters government had allowed in as part of the union, to help do some of the dirtiest work of the government, struck down hard on leftist revolutionaries. In RB city, 300 SAVAK agents were gathered together, mounted in Humvees with covered and lockable cargo compartments and sent around the city. 2,500 suspected Leftists were the target, along with 3,500 family members. Each Humvee group had a portion of the list to take care of.
Humvee group A, RB city
Special Officer Xerxes Tehrani looked out the window into the steets of RB city from his lead Humvee. 20 SAVAK special agents in five Humvees were following, preparing to exert a fate on leftists that would shock the rest into submission. All of them had taken place in anti-government rallies and were chosen at random for their most cruel fate. The first one, a home to a college professor and his wife was just ahead. He had been spotted in a rally carrying a sign demanding democratic reform. Around his building, the humvees parked, and the masked SAVAK agents grabbed their M-8 rifles and MP-5s. They rushed in, piled on the elevators and rushed up to the professor's floor. A mossberg 500 shell blew the door off the hinges while the SAVAK agents bound the startled couple and dragged them down the stairs to the ground floor. There, in full view of the leftist, a SAVAK agent's shamshir removed the head of his wife, which was mounted on a pole and set up. Another sharpened stake, about three inches wide and ten feet tall was taken off the humvee, and the SAVAKis drove it into him, until breaking out the other side. Setting the still alive man up in a sidewalk tree planter, the SAVAKis prepared for their next stop.

“Well, would you all look at that? The whole thing’s gone up in smoke. Bastards should have known, going into a deathtrap with blitz tactics.”
General Lew Ny’sky practically chuckled as he watched the satellite feed of the smoking battlefields along the Mihailovic border.
“Sometimes I ask myself how these guys have lasted so long, pulling shit like that. Hell, if we were their enemy, they’d’ve been singing “Hail Generia” sixteen years ago.”
“General, sir, what do you propose we do?”
“Not a damn thing. Our boys are peacekeepers. They’re over there to let these RB bastards free up some of their serious manpower from police work and send ‘em to the front, but after watching this little fiasco, I’m inclined to let ‘em flounder a bit ‘til they can get their shit together. What the hell was Lee thinkin’, sendin’ militia to do a man’s job. If he was on my command, he’d be shinin’ shoes for the rest of his life.”
General Ny’sky chuckled as the satellite zoomed in over a smoking tank carcass to reveal an elderly man in RB fatigues being skinned alive by teenage girls in militia garb.
“Good God, what the hell was this guy trying to do?”
“General, sorry to interrupt, sir.”
A young man in a Generian officer’s uniform was escorted into the sealed viewing chamber separated from the rest of the command center.
“What you got for me, son?”
“Sir, military intelligence branches of GIIS have been in touch for the past few hours, and according to them, traffic on sub encrypted channels has stepped up heavily since the mobilization of the Roach-Busters militias against Mihailovich province. Their analysis points to further secession. They say that a lot of their informants have gone silent, and so we can’t say how many or which provinces are planning to revolt, but they’re pretty confident it’s going to happen.”
“Alright. I’ll take it into account. Dismissed.”
The young man saluted and was led out of the room.
“Lee’s gone and got himself into a fine mess, now, hasn’t he?”
“General, what about the 39th Imperial army?”
“They’re all stationed in stable zones, places generally friendly to the Generallissimo and his crony, this Lee idiot. I’m inclined to sit back and see what happens next. Right now, this still isn’t our problem.”

The transports began to move in, closing in on the Roach Busters coastline. Packed to the brim with the Parthians' best equipment and soldiers, these would surely tip the balance against the rebels. The union between the Roach Busters and Parthian governments was very beneficial, allowing Parthians use of Roach Busters bases and the ability to station troops. In time of mutual defense, this was very useful. The first transports landed, and prepared to allow cranes to move the heavy M-29s and M-35 IFVs off the vessels. Crates containing partially dissassembled F-78s were joined in and taken to the Parthian RB city airbase for final fitting. Parthian troops filed down into their bases, preparing for a task to accomplish while the generals commanding them drove towards the presidential palace to confer with Lee about the situation.

The God-Emperor Count JWolf was in his workout room, doing some pull up. He had his shirt off and was just wearing some black workout shorts. The Count was over 10,000 years old but had a body of 20 year old. Then one of his new aides ran into the room. He was a 24-year s old and had a raven black hair.
“My lord, Mr. Phillips has send word of a civil war in Roach-Busters.” said the young man.
“What the fuck?” said JWolf as he dropped down on the floor. “Details, Christopher, details.”
“The Mihailovich province has seceded from Roach-Busters. The Acting-President send men to take it back.” said Christopher.
“I never like that Lee person.” said the Count “Continue.”
“It failed, my lord, it failed. Then the Papadopoulos province, the Menzies province, the Batista province, and the Salazar province followed what Mihailovich did.”
“Well, it looks like I’m going to have to make peace.” said the Count “Hell, this is going to the third problem with Roach-Busters after we became allies. First that nut-job kicking J.L. out of the nation and taking over the government. Second the Red Dragon problem and now this bullshit.”
Thinking for a little bit, he said “Get the other aides together. I want my suit ready. You know which one. Plus, have my video area set up so I can address the people of the Dominion and the people of the world.”
“Yes, my lord.” said Christopher.
Before Christopher left the room, the Count said “Tell Hardwolf to take the base to Alpha One and tell Bolton the same thing.” Alpha One mean that everyone is armed a gun or two.
“Yes, my lord” said Christopher before turning and exiting the room.
After the kid was out of hearing range, he said to himself “I hope Darien don’t know about this. If he does know it and get into the mix of everything with the agents, they will not have the backing of the government.”
Then looked at himself in the full walled mirror and saw everything behind him. Then he said “Now, to take a shower and get clean for my public speech.”

Thank you. But be warned, your five bases are located in Papadopoulos province, which seceded. They could construe the deployment of additional forces as an act of war, and respond accordingly.

Praetonia
02-06-2005, 16:48
The boom of heavy gunfire broke the still Praeton air. Eight guns rocked back on their carriages, and their crews ran back to attend them. Dressed in bright royal blue with gold lace and a red silk sash, a gunner rush to pour water over the muzzle of his ancient beast. Another prepared wadding and charge for another shot, but they could take their time. It would not be for an hour yet, and they would then be joined by a ninth gun.
Inside the great obsidian tower they were ceremonally guarding, a gavel was hammered down on the ancient wood of the Imperial Parliament, and more specifically, the House of Commons. When the speaker had finished and the hubbub of conversation had died away, he began to speak, "I hearby call the House to order on the fine day of Thursday the Second of June, anno 2005."
The scheduled topic for the day's debate was the rapidly developing situation in Roach-Busters. There was much alarm at the rapidly decaying state of civil order, and even greater alarm at the news that hostile nations such as the Generic Empire, the Borman Empire and Parthia were taking advantage of the situation. Roach-Busters as a satellite state of Generic Empire scarcely bore thinking about.
"Mr Speaker," a Communist MP rose to speak, "I do not see any circumstance under which my Party and I would be able to sanction military action against Roach-Busters, or any part thereof. We Communists support the plight of the labouring classes all across the world, but we refuse to allow the young men of Praetonia to be sucked into their internal conflict which is of no consquence to us. The proletariat revolution in Roach-Busters will no doubt go from strength to strength in the coming months and years, but it must thrive and prosper on its own merit, and its own righteousness.
"Three hundred years ago, when the noble people of Praetonia rose up and otherthrew their feudal masters, it was done so on their own terms, and their own work. We would not have tolerated foreign interferance, or the presumption of alien peoples to know what is best for us, no more than they shall tolerate a Praetonian presence in Roach-Busters.
"If we truely support our Roach-Busterian kindred in their struggle for freedom, then we must support with in our hearts, and we must support them with food and with medicine, but we must not pretend that we can export our foreign values to peoples who have no interest in receiving them, who are perfectly advanced and civilised of their own virtue, and who are fiercely independent and right to be so."
The Communist speaker sat down to cheers from his own party, but jeers both from the Government benches and the His Majesty's Opposition, the Tories. One member of the Imperial Monarchist Party actually stood up to shout insults which, luckily for him, could not be heard above din of the assembled Members.
"Mr Speaker!" The Tory MP as good as shouted, calming the Parliamentary crowd, "I do protest! This great country, from the moment of its inception, has stood for certain values - Prosperity, Liberty and Civilisation. It is not possible for us to be true to those values is we fail to support the Roach-Busterian insurrection. A people has come of age, and they are throwing off their dictatorial yoke as we did in the 18th century. The only moral choice is to provide all the assistance that we can.
"That should not be to forget, however, the importance to our own security that Roach-Busters be saved from the encroaching Bormeric Meance, and the anti-Praetonian rhetoric of the former military Junta. Our fleets are powerful, and our colonies shine golden with commerce and prosperity, but as much as the Honourable Prime Minister would like to hide it, we are in danger from a multitude of foreign powers.
"A Pro-Generian Roach-Busters, or worse yet, a Generian colony of Roach-Busters, will irrevocably shift the balance of power in favour of the Barbarians across the sea. There is no recourse, in my mind, but to take the moral route. To take the route that will safe guard our Democracy and Empire. To take the route that will safeguard our survival as a people. It was a wise man who once said, 'History shall be kind to me, for I intend to write it.' This, my Right Honourable friends, is our chance to write history, or else we must step aside to have it written for us by the uncivilised cur of the Borneric Dominion."
The house errupted in cheers and applause. The Government benches arose to applaud their adversary, as did his party companions. Even the Communists would not boo and heckle, but instead sat motionless in their seats, looking on in stunned silence.
"What is that man's name? Lucius Agrippa whispered to the man sitting next to him, keeping his gaze fixed on the speaker.
"Marianus Carillian, Prime Minister. He's just a Tory backbencher," the Minister replied.
"Watch that Tory backbencher, for I fear one day he will have me out of a job," the Minister chuckled to his Prime Minister's jest, but Lucius Agrippa remained quiet, staring steely-eyed at the man on the Opposition bench.
"Mr Speaker, Honourable Members of the House," the Prime Minister began, "we have heard great rhetoric from the Tory benches, and great moral conviction from the Communist benches. There is no doubt it my mind, however, what our coruse must be. We are a proud and noble people, with an Empire and maritime livelihood to protect. Roach-Busters has always proved itself an unstable power, and it remains so now. What we see in Roach-Busters today is merely a continuation of decades, nay, centuries of neglect shown by her military rulers. It remains for us to pick up the pieces.
"I thought I would never see the day when Roach-Busterians would finally rise up and say no to the oppression they have endured for millenia. Today I see it happen. Today we all see a people getting to its feet, and telling the world that it will be suppressed and tortured no longer. Today we have also seen that same people call for aid, and the free peoples of the world have no choice but to answer. We will answer.
"It is the determination of my Government, in accordance with support from the Tory benches and the Imperial Monarchist Party, to propose a bill that would put 120,000 Imperial Guardsmen on Roach-Busterian soil to safeguard and further the aims of the Roach-Busterian democratic revolution, to ensure that Roach-Busters does not fall under the tyranny of Generian oppression and thereby safeugard and enhance the security of the Democratic Imperium and her possesions abroad."
Again, the Tory and Imperial Monarchist benches errupted in applause, but the Communists began to jeer the Government benches, who shouted back with equal fervour. In the end, however, the jeering of the Communist Party was in vain. The bill was quickly passed with an overwhelming majority, and the ports of Praefele would be busy yet.

United Imperial Assembly
"... and that's why I believe we should get involved in this civil war."
The United Imperial Assemly, a unilateral legislative piece of democracy that would decided and decide any piece of legislation that goes through it. If the Rosians introduced a law into it, the entire Imperial Union would have to obey it if it was passed. Now, there was a new proposal and to put it simply, intervention in the side of the pro-seccisionets (I don't know how to spell the word) in the Roach-Busterian Civil War. And how does it look exactly? Imagine the Congressional Building from the Star Wars prequals, that's how the inside and outside looks... minus the whole floating chair deal. On the floor was the official seal of the Imperial Union, and a yellow rug. And it was located in Rose City... plus it was big... duh.
A Nationalist Senator stood up. "And why do we need to drain the resources of the Imperial Union? How does this concern us, again?"
A Liberal Imperialist Senator met him with this response. "The fact of the matter is, your idea of isolationism are old. We need to be modern. Also, we do not need another mad dictatorship running around in the world. This is our legitimate chance to support democracy and unification. Also, Praetonia, a fellow liberal Imperialist nation, has been rumored to support this. The fact of the matter is, if we don't take action now we will end up with a much worse nation then before. Or worse, a Colonial RB run by the Generian and Borman Empires. We and the world does not need that!"
The Liberal Imperialist Senators went into a wild applause, some whistled and even shouted Hear hear! for the man. Then they stopped as a Socialist Senator stood up to give a speech.
He cleared his throat. "Comrade of the United Imperial Assembly, I agree with you. We must eliminate the fascists! It is time the Imperial Union supported another revolution!"
The Socialist and Proletarian Senators cheered wildly, but were quickly silenced as the Speaker of the Assembly, Anthony Calvus, stood up.
He cleared his throat. "All of those in favor of intervention, say Aye."
Almost all of the Senators said aye.
"Those against, say nay."
Just a few nays here and there, but not enough to be against the proposal.
"Then it is settled, today at June 2, 20__ the Imperial Union has decided to intervene in the Roach-Busterian Civil War in favor of the secisionists." I still don't know how to spell that word.

Also, the Chancellory of Defense would like to ask for a map of all major
Roach-Busterian military bases, a map of the current state of Roach-Busters,
and strategic points that must be taken out. We cannot support you if we
don't know where to go.
Also, the Imperial Armada will be sending a few BattleFleets soon to support
the situation, and when the time is right we will send a few Armies from the
Imperial Army Force after an invasion has been deemed safe. We would also
like to make an inquery if we can send a small squad of Rosktai, i.e. Rosian

Persepolis Palace, Parthia
The Shah sat in his council chamber of Persepolis, flanked by seven top generals and the minister of defense, sitting on the sides of the table with the Shah at the head. The Shah finished the last of his cardamom flavored tea, and then looked around, glaring at his generals. "I think the situation is getting out of hand very fast. The time is right to make an example of some rebels, to give them some fear....Perhaps now is the time to utilize a few "unconventional" means of war. I propose either gassing a rebel city or poisoning their water supply with cholera. I will call Lee and ask for his approval." Another general spoke, "My lord, with all respect, that could simply escalate the situation. Allow my army to simply rush into a rebel province and reduce it to ash. We will kill or enslave everyone and sell the people we capture to the Teymorian Slaveholding Company. We could use more slaves, and this will set an even more clear example. Whole villages will be wiped out, towns burnt to ash and depopulated. Cities flattened and enslaved or butchered." The Shah nodded, and then gave his support. "However, I think destroying much of the capital of the rebellious Bastita province will work nicely. I have recieved a telegram from Lee giving me the go ahead. General, prepare your BGM-109 GLCMs with cluster warheads for use on Seaside City.
GLCM Battery C, Pinochet Province
"Roger, we have the coordinates" said the battery commander onto the radio. "We are preparing all twenty systems to each discharge one missiles to a set point in Seaside City to maximize affected areas, our missiles are accurate enough we expect quite a bit of destruction." Within a few seconds, the white light of the GLCM batteries firing and the trails of smoke were left as they rocketed towards their target. As they neared their targets, they would fly into the air, and explode over them, dropping many tiny bomblets that would explode around the target site over an area of several football fields.

The symbol (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/BWSymbol.jpg) of the Black Wolves was in the middle of both flags. A man wearing Star Wars shirt and a baseball hat beside the main camera said, “My lord, you are on in five. Four. Three.” Then he finished with the countdown with his hands. The light above the cameras was turned on. This was going to be state wide, nation wide, worldwide. Everybody was going to see this on the news channels. The Count was about to make this speech like a Southern priest with a lot of energy.
“My fellow Transylvanians and the people of this great planet we call Earth. I come to you today to bring you bad news form over sea. This news comes straight from Roach-Busters. See right now, there is a civil war happening in the great nation of Roach-Busters.” He took a small pause to puff on his $20 dollar Cuban cigar.
“My friends, this not a god thing to be happening. I was in three civil myself; the American civil war and the two civil wars of this great nation of Transylvania. Civil wars are not a good thing to happen to any nation.” He took another small pause to puff on his cigar.
“So, I’m asking for peace before any more blood can be shed. So, get it though your head and do the right thing. I’m offering a place to hold the peace talks. Some of y’all know how to get in touch with my cabinet and me. If you don’t know how to get in touch with me, contact Lord Bennet du Paris, my Secretary of Diplomacy. "Yes?"
"Marcus? This is Commodus. We have a situation."
Oh shit, not another...
"Who rebelled this time, sir?" he said in a not-so-surprised tone. He should be used to this by now.
"Ironically, Mikhailovich." replied the man on the other side of the phone bluntly.
This caused a look of surprise to come across the face of Spurius.
"Truley?" he asked.
"Indeed. His Lordship the Emperor commands you to put a stop to this heresy at once."
"It shall be done," replied the General, juist recovering from a moment of surprise.
"One more thing, Marcus. We're expecting heathen intervention. Specifically, the Praetonians and the Rosians, possibly MP."
This didn't change anything for Marcus. He barely respected the Rosian land army and knew that the Praetonians would be no match for his Arbiters.
"Does His Lordship require I smite them, as well?"
"Indeed. Strength and honor, brother."
"Strength and honor."
The phone went dead.
Interesting... he thought to himself.
He tapped the button on his intercom system, and talked.
"Assemble the men, we march on Mikhailovich at dawn..."

“Sir, the Rosians and the Praetonians have recently passed judgment on intervention. That’s at least 500,000 soldiers.”
The General laughed.
“500,000 silver spoon lickin’ volunteer pussies who’ve never seen anything remotely resembling combat ‘cept maybe when they got caught stealing from daddy’s wallet. Pricks haven’t got the balls to dent the 39th.”
“Still, sir. It is the Emperor’s nephew we are discussing here. Antonius weighs his words heavily.”
“Prick. Doesn’t know a goddamned thing about war. Spends enough time kissing his uncle’s ass, don’t need him meddling around here too. Should all just leave the goddamned business to me.”

10 Miles Southeast of the Generian military base, Mihailovich province
It was with a heavy heart that Lieutenant Borislav Mihailovich received the orders to launch an attack on the Generian military base. It was extremely ironic, considering that it was his defense of Generia in the past that had earned him his reputation as a gallant war hero. During the Generian Civil War, and later during the first Buchianan secession, he had fought with great distinction and courage, against overwhelming odds, with little thought for his own safety, devoted 100% to the ideals of God and country. So many of his fellow men, his friends, had bled and died on Generian soil, and now here he was, attacking the Generians he respected so highly. Yet, his loyalty belonged to his province, and to his father, the President. His orders were simple: We will not let pro-J.L. hooligans desecrate the sacred soil of our land by their wanton presence. Remove them at once.
Commanding five Infantry Divisions, each comprised of 15,000 heavy infantry, 450 M1A4 "King Abrams" tanks, 150 Portland Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle/Light Tanks, 220 Magistrate 2 Heavy Artillery/ Nuclear Artillery Cannons, 450 M-48 Chapparral Mobile SAM Launchers, 100 HMMWV Avenger Anti-Aircraft Missile Systems, 100 Crusader Artillery, 900 Bratwurst Heavy Infantry Guns, and 600 M151 Multi-Utility Tactical Trucks, he felt well-prepared for the task ahead. Yet his heart just wasn't in it.
Oh, let go, you old fool, he thought, disgusted with his sentimentality, which his father called "the downfall of the weak." They may have been our brothers in arms in the past, but now they are our sworn enemies. For God and country, we shall liberate our land of these imperialist invaders and expel them from our soil!
Coordinates were given to the other divisions, and they assembled at various points around the base, surrounding it. When all was ready, Lieutenant Mihailovich gave the order to strike.
(OOC: I'll let you do the battle, GE, because you're better at RPing than me, I don't know how many troops you have at your base, and I'll let you decide how easy/difficult it is for your men to repel the invasion.)

5 Miles North of Fort Publius, Mihailovich province
Like his brother Lieutenant Borislav Mihailovich, Corporal Josip Mihailovich had reservations about the order he had been given. His father had instructed him: Wipe out the Doomingslandians before they can attack. Their loyalty is to their Emperor, and the Emperor is friends with the renegade rogue government of Minister Lee. We cannot allow enemies on our soil. Kill them all. Slowly, quickly, it doesn't matter. Just get rid of them.
Josip, a longtime member of the Roach-Busters Foreign Legion, was one of the most highly-decorated war heroes of the Holy Paradisian Civil War, a war that both Roach-Busters and Doomingsland had participated in. He liked the miliatry of Doomingsland. The troops were devoutly patriotic, intensely loyal, utterly unscrupulous and merciless in quelching their enemies, and had unbreakable morale. In fact, Josip once adorned his modest office with a portrait of Emperor Helldawg V burning a Shooban in hellfire. At his father's request, the portrait was taken down and disposed of. And now here he was, ordered to attack the armed forces of a nation he loved almost as much as his own.
God in Heaven, please forgive me, he prayed, as his heart ached with utter shame. His eyes flooded with tears.
Like his brother, he had five Infantry Divisions under his command, which he hoped would be enough to defeat the Doomingslandians. He had his doubts. Few men on Earth fought as spectacularly, viciously, and gloriously as did the warriors of Doomingsland. They were an almost invincible horde, which swarmed around their enemies like locusts, and went in for the kill. They showed their enemy no mercy.
Then I guess we had better adhere to that principle as well, he thought, as he finished cleaning the inside of his rifle with a cleaning rod. He nodded to his aide, who operated the radio, to give the signal to the others to begin the assault.
As they charged toward the Doomingslandian base, firing heavy artillery and blasting away with tanks, Mihailovich hoped he could shake his feelings of despair and imminent death.

And one more thing, God bless everybody.” The picture faded on a man as he smoked his cigar.
As the camera was turned off, the Count said “Maybe that will work.”

There order was to head to the capital of the Rhee province with a letter wrote by the God-Emperor, himself. In this letter, JWolf is asking to buy the whole province for 15 billion dollars and it could go higher if need. Plus, it also says that the men of Transylvanian Army with protect the province. The three men took off on their solid black Yamaha R1 to their target.

Message from the office of the Presidency of the Holy Republic of Algeristan
To: President Chia Neng Lee
The Holy Republic of Algeristan supports your nation and your government in these dark times.
Algeristan will support ALL your efforts in crushing this evil rebellion as it aims to destroy your nation, divide it and allow certain imperialist powers to 'intervene' which would only result in your great nation being reduced to a collection of patchwork of colonies of certain imperialist nations.
This revolt stinks of a foreign conspiracy that in no way concerns itself with 'freedom, democracy or humanitarianism', as rebel propoganda claims, but concerns itself with the interests of hostile nations.
At this moment in time, Algeristan will not be sending in troops for combat purposes, but we will provide the following military assistance and aid:
1.) 700 million USD.
2.) 35 million rounds of ammunition.
3.) 45,000 AK-47s.
4.) 6000 RPG-7s.
5.) 10,000 hand grenades.
6.) 2000 SAM-7s.
8.) 270 jeeps with mounted MGs.
9.) 12 million barrels of petroleum.
10.) Supplies of medical aid and food.
Please respond to this offer indicating if you wish to accept this.
May Allah grant you a great victory and may Allah send the rebels back to where they belong, in Hell!
From the President of the Holy Republic of Algeristan

Generic empire
03-06-2005, 16:13
((OOC: It's a bit bland, I know, but it's just the first half.))
Generian presence in the areas surrounding the base itself had increased drastically in the hours following the secession of the Mihailovic province. Civilians in the area had been encouraged to leave by the Generian forces, who, as they had been respected by the Generian forces in the past, had developed a warm relationship with the Imperial troops. Many of the Empire’s soldiers had taken wives and had children with the locals, and when encouraged to leave and make for a secure zone, largely did as they were told.
The Generian military base itself was a large and sprawling complex of high concrete walls and multiple layers both expanding outward and into the Earth below, as many Imperial facilities were known to do. Since the uprising and the news of the turning of the President Mihailovic, GIIS and GIA satellites had been covering the region constantly, observing troop movements where possible in this province known for dense foliage.
Most of the men stationed at the base had been deployed here after tours of duty in Buchiana and Alberia as command wished to preserve these veterans for later combat duty without leaving them in hazard zones to be widdled away at by guerilla forces. Their tour, up until now, had been peaceful, as promised, though at the base life was not easy by normal standards. Strict training regimens combined with meet and greet missions with the locals to preserve the standard of skill and discipline the Generian regulars were known for.
Imperial satellites had picked up on the large concentrations of troops moving down the roads towards the Imperial base almost as soon as they were set in motion. They were moving en masse, apparently hoping to simply overpower the garrison, as the rebel armies had been seen to do in the past few days of the secession. The force was largely mechanized with limited infantry contingents, which kept it confined to the roads, keeping the rest of the terrain largely off limits.
Imperial tactical infantry units had been put in motion long before the enormous force drew close to the base, and had set up a good few makeshift obstacles along the main pathways. In addition to blowing up key bridges to delay the assault and deprive the enemy of speed, they had placed anti-vehicular mines along the roads, and dug tank traps in the open clearings.
Finishing the preparations to slow the enemy advance, the Imperial advance units withdrew a few miles, and let the GIAF take over. With Black Guard units giving coordinate for targets, GIF-1 hypersonic aircraft roared over the forests and towns, towards the marching enemy. Payloads of smart bombs and incendiary explosives rained down, frying trucks and annihilating armor. As SAM batteries kicked in, the jets engaged pulse detonation systems to compliment evasive maneuvers, throwing the missiles well off target. Numerous aerial attacks put huge dents in the enemy numbers, destroying literal hundreds of tanks and troop transports before they were able to even see the Imperial military base.
With numbers weakened, and morale wavering, the rebel force fought it’s way down mine covered roads and over tank trap laden riverbeds towards the town surrounding the Imperial complex. Vehicular mobility had nearly ground to a halt, as many of the rebel trucks and tanks were finding it difficult to bypass the smoldering carcasses of destroyed vehicles on the roads. Still, the Imperial air attacks continued, lighting the nearby forests and sending clouds of heavy black smoke to cover the landscape for miles, choking the enemy footsoldiers without the forethought of bringing face protection.
The bodies of the maimed and the dying littered the road to Hell, and the screams combined with the thick crackling of fires and the grinding of steel to create an air of mechanical death. The advance was slowing, and large quantities of their supplies had been destroyed in the bombing. Seeing an opportunity to annihilate a weakened enemy, the forces at the Generian military base decided the time was right for a counterstrike to drive the enemy back. The base had a total contingent of 50 ST-29 heavy main battle tanks, which would now see action for the first time. The armored fists divided and rolled out into the streets, splitting for a converging attack through the forest on a stranded enemy. Combined with support from GIF-1s and GH-A3 attack helicopters, the counterstrike would spell the end for the enemy forces.
While the rebels floundered, trying to get rolling again, the ST-29s hit from two sides adjacent to the road. Humvees and tanks went up in flames as the heavy shells from high power cannons ripped through the dates armor of the King Abrams. The primary targets were air support systems, the humvees and SAM batteries that the air force had missed in its runs. Confused and struggling to retaliate, the rebel force found itself facing what seemed like a horde of thousands, but what was in reality a group of 50 tanks spread out along the length of the road.
Imperial commanders, skilled at this type of point blank armored warfare, were making short work of an already shredded enemy. The skies overhead began to scream as GH-1s commenced a secondary run on the enemy’s rearguard, destroying it and trapping their foes. The rebel army, faced with certain death from Imperial air superiority and the superior ST-29s, was finding retreat impossible due to the confusion along the roads and the in the forest. It had become a massacre. Elements of the 12th Imperial mobile rifle division had joined the battle, and forced a good deal of the enemy heavy infantry into surrender. The other rebel divisions were unsure of whether to continue down their own roads towards the base or turn back to save themselves, looked to their commanders for guidance.
Doomingsland

Fort Publius
The Fortress itself was deep within a mountain, so the force numbering over 50,000 strong wouldn't take much damage. At the foot of the mountain was a barracks complex, which had been evacuated beforehand, luckily. It was the first thing to go. The rebels decimated the complex within ten minutes of opening fire with their artilery. Looks can be deceiving, however, for with the mountain was an equaly powerfull array of indirect fire weapons.
Along the top, the doors of twelve hidden silos swung open, followed quickly by a pillar of smoke and flame as twelve cruise missiles sprang forward. The missiles quickly shed themselves of their booster stages as the exited the silo, and began to fell downward. It was here their next stage took over, and propeled them higher into the air. They quickly went nose down, and went streaking straight down the mountain towards the incoming army. Each missile was equiped with one high yield fuel air warhead
General Spurius stared at the moniter at his desk intently. He was viewing exactly what the missile saw. He watched as it got closer....closer...closer...until finally, when it was about to hit the ground, the camera cut, and the mountain shook. A twisted grin came across his face and he tapped the red button on his intercom,
"Colonel, you may commence bombardment," he said in a pleasent tone.
"Right away, sir," came the response from the other side.
Along the mountain's ridges, concealed hatches swung open, allowing for remotely operated 203mm ETC guns to swing out. These weapons were isolated from the rest of the base for the purpose of preventing infiltration. The Earth shook as roughly 300 hundred of these guns opened up, carefully selecting individual vehicles with APFSDS rounds, and groups of infantry with beehive rounds.
The resulting effect would be horrendous, with entire platoons being vaporized by the thousands of flechettes being spewed from the beehive rounds, and vehicles being shot to pieces by depleted uranium sabot rounds.
Spurius wasn't finish, of course. His next move involved picking off the survivors.
As the guns continued to sound off in a almost melodic pattern, more silo doors on top of the mountain. Within these silos weren't missiles, but entire squadrons of F/A41D VTOL attack aircraft. Taking off in wings of three from three large silos, the fighters shot into the now reddened sky. Each fighter carried a single nose mounted 30mm cannon along with six maverick anti-tank missiles.
Streaking down from the mountain like a hoard of angry banshees, the fighters opened up on any tanks that yet to have been decimated with their missiles. Once they'd expended that ammunition, they took to strafing groups of surviving infantry or vehicle crew with their cannons.
No mercy was shown, of course. The planes targetted ambulances, logistics vehicles, men dragging wounded comrades from the field. All of these received a burst of cannon fire.

Suffused in a searing sea of flames convoked by the explosions wrought by the Doomingslandian bombardment, Mihailovich tried in vain to demand an immediate retreat. Unfortunately for him, the sounds of explosions, curses of fear, gunfire, and flesh crackling as it was roasted to a crisp, drowned out his voice. It was inconceivable. Almost literally from out of nowhere, a series of powerful missiles had appeared, and within seconds, thousands were dead, reduced to bloody, charred pulp. The stench was excruciating, enough to drive any man insane.
Mihailovich grabbed a radio from his aide's hand, and bellowed into it: "We need immediate back-up, over!" just seconds before he was hit by one of the cannons, causing his body to explode in a spurt of gore that sprayed blood all over his men. Severed, steaming limbs plopped lifelessly to the ground. His head rolled over to his aide, the face frozen in an expression of bewilderment and terror.
With Mihailovich dead, what little morale was left snapped. Mass panic ensued, as everyone tried in vain to retreat. So desperate were they that many trampled each other to death, and several were run over by fleeing tanks, squished like cockroaches. A scarce few were brave enough to lob a defiant hand grenade or two before making good their departure, but on the whole, the majority of the survivors were afflicted with such a cataclysmic case of cowardice that they turned tail and fled without even a glance back.
The entire field was drenched in blood. Smoke filled the sky. The ensuing silence was chilling.
A few hours later, the vultures and crows began to descend, and started feasting on the bodies.
Of the 75,000 men who had launched the ill-planned assault, less than 5,000 had survived; of that 5,000, more than 1,500 were wounded. 3 out of 4 of the wounded were left behind, and most were eaten alive by crows. Of the few wounded who were evacuated safely, only 13 survived; the rest died of shock before they could even reach a hospital.

His bomb bay carried a pair of fuel air explosives, each capable of flattening several city blocks. His co pilot centered his bomb scope on a group of large tenements, undoubtedly an area where much of the leftist nonsense was being spouted from. Pressing the activation button, his bomb flew downwards, and the B-1 moved home.

Most of the survivors had retreated to the relative safety of their basements after the first Parthian assault. Children and adults alike whimpered in corners, huddling together and shuddering, cowering like cornered rats- a metaphor that Minister Lee would find quite apt. Above them, they felt the ground shudder tumultuously as explosions rocketed the area, demolishing houses and buildings. They heard high-pitched screams of terror, the sound of explosions, structures crumbling, and the shriek of jets flying through the air.

Fort Publius, An Hour Later...
General Spurius walked amongst the carnage of the battlefield in his armor, his blade at his side. He scoffed at the masses of shredded corpses scattered about the burned out hulks of what used to be vehicles, and took in that oh-so-sweet smell of burning human flesh. The advance teams had already set up the various standards of their units and fastened them to the burned out hulks of enemy tanks, mounting the severed heads of enemy infantry on top of them.
The ground had been thouroughly blackened from the explosions, yet still maintained a dim red stain from the sheer amount of blood that had been shed that day. Deciding to rest a bit, he drew his blade, stuck it into the ground, and leaned on the hilt, taking in the scene around him. He watched as his men plundered enemy corpses, fighting over the wallets and money of the dead and dying. Looking over his shoulder, he could see a group of his men happily play "hot potato" with a severed human head. This generated a smile from Marcus, who thought of his men as his children.
He heard a scream come from another area, and turned his head. A wounded man that had been abandoned was now having his guts pulled out inch by inch, yard by yard, and piled up in front of him, while another man was slowly hacking off fingers, hollowing them out, stuffing them with tobacco he'd taken out of his pocket, and forcing the man to smoke them.
Kids these days...more creative than we were! he thought to himself chuckling.
"General! I have something for you!" came the voice of one of his aids from behind him. He turned around to see what it was. "May I present to you, the head of Josip Mihailovich, your enemy," said the man boastfully though his armored gas mask, handing him the severed head of Mihailovich, the expression still frozen in terror.
Spurius picked up the head by the hairs, and stared into its eyes.
"I've polished a pike just for this," he said in a sardonic tone, grinning broadly. "That foolish rebel has unknowingly killed his brother. Let us deliver the news to him," he stated in a sobering yet joking tone. "This hasn't actualy delayed our plans by much, I want the men assembled and out here immediatly." he commanded in a more buisiness-like tone.
"Yes, General."

"This hasn't actualy delayed our plans by much, I want the men assembled and out here immediatly." he commanded in a more buisiness-like tone.
"Yes, General."

Fort Publius, Five Hours Later
The men were almost fully assembled amongst pyramids of severed heads and burned out hulks that had yet to be removed from the battlefield. Aside from the mountain, the only other thing that could be seen for miles around was the massive pillar of smoke and flame rising high into the air from the great funeral pyre upon which the corpses of those who had fallen were being incinerated. General Marcus Cornelius Spurius was sitting in his command vehicle with his top officers, looking over the situation. All was ready for the final march on the rebel capital. It was decided a Mobile Infantry Unit would be brought in ahead of time to try and draw the enemy army from the city.
As that was happening, the armored forces and mechanized infantry would form up and hopefully catch the enemy off guard.
The force under General Spurius' command, the X Heavy Corps, was primarily an armored and mechanized force, designed for fighting in open ground against other armored forces. Since he had a city to fight in rather than the ideal terrain, he had decided to simply turn the city into a parking lot and roll in with tanks to kill anyone who lived.
The man tasked with this great mission was General Lucius Quintus Servius, the commander of X Corps' artillery. He, being a creative commander, had designed a very special shell for this mission...
The only true light infantry unit in this mighty force numbering 50,000 strong was the III Mobile Infantry, a brand new unit comprised of veteran soldiers. The best land vehicle this unit used was the M1050HMMLAV, a HMMWV replacement.
http://bigpicture.typepad.com/writing/images/batmobilerollingstone.jpg
They wouldn't last against a strong armored force, but would easily hold their own against a comparable unit.
The commander of this unit was a Colonel by the name of Gaius Julius Meridius, a veteran air cav trooper. This type of unit was pretty much the same thing he'd been with since he'd first entered the service, but with cooler toys. He had been included in the meeting of commanders, and had been the lowest ranking man in the vehicle. It was an honor.
Finally, the force got underway, with the division commanders riding in their command vehicles (modified M-35A1 Testudo IFVs), riding towards the rear of a great formation of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, rolling across the open plains.
At the very tip of the spear was Colonel Meridius, sitting in the back of an MV-68A Banshee, his rifle layed across his lap. He wore the same armor as his men, but without the big, cumbersome balistic helmet that tended to save a man's life. He had a more portable LCD moniter that folded down over his left eye. Sitting within the transport as it streaked across the sky at high speeds were eleven more Mobile Infantrymen, tensely gripping their rifles.
Meridius looked out the window at the transport next to him, a much larger MV-90, carrying the unit's vehicles and heavy weapons. This was a reassurance to him. He would probably need the LOSATs carried by his Humlavs, as they were called.

Message from the office of the Presidency of the Holy Republic of Algeristan
To: Roach Busters
The Holy Republic of Algeristan confirms that the military assistance and aid package that we pledged to the government of President Lee in RB has now been delivered and the 700 million USD we promised has now been wired into the RB national bank.
We hope this aid will help President Lee in his war effort and the future economic reconstruction of the RB economy upon the conclusion of this war.
When this conflict is over and the rebels are crushed; I, President Sayeed al Bkar would like to personally invite President Lee to Algeristan for a state visit. You would be a most welcome guest and friend in our nation.
Whilst Algeristan has wanted to avoid sending it's troops into outright combat against the criminal rebels, Algeristani forces can be sent to help increase security in the capital city of RB.
It's vital that all RB forces are used to crush the revolt, yet such a move could leave the RB capital city with weak levels of security. So Algeristani forces can be sent to the RB capital to allow for the RB forces there to go to the war zone.
If accepted, our forces would keep order in the RB capital city, help crush the infidel Marxist trouble makers in the city and act to prevent any RB military units from staging any possible coup d' etats against President Lee in the city.
Once again, thank you President Lee for accepting our offer and extending this welcome show of solidarity against the infidel imperialists who seek to destroy your great nation.
May Allah grant you victory and may He bring His wrath down upon the infidel rebels.
From the President of the Holy Republic of Algeristan
Sayeed al Bkar

Mihailovich Province, Roach-Busters
"Sir!" A messanger snapped to attention in front of his General, who was sitting inside a large command tent.
"Yes?" He enquired, looking up at the man wearing a brass helmet and riding boots.
"The native army," he said, in reference to the revolting Roach-Busterians, "has informed us that they are attacking the Doomingsland and Generic Empire bases in this province."
"Very good. Anything else?" The General replied, looking back down at his work and continuing to write up The Orders of the Day.
"They're meeting stiff opposition, sir," he said and then paused, before taking on a more informal tone, "I don't think they're up to much, sir, these Roach-Busterians."
The General hummed solemnly in agreement, "At least we can take solace in that knowledge that the rest of their army will be just as incompetant," referring to the cumbersomely massive Roach-Buster army across the frontier, "Tell me, what do we have here?"
"Well, we have ten armoured battalions with 100 vehicles each. The 1st and 2nd are here, sir," he said, referring the best armoured battalions in the Imperial Guard, "They have Phalanx, sir. The rest have Hoplite, but Major General Lorans hopes to have the whole army equipped with Phalanx within the next 3 months."
"M'yes," the General mumbled in acknowledgement, prompting the cavalry dispatch to continue. He was still writing The Orders of the Day.
"And then we have 20,000 sappers. Good men, apparently, but I've never seen them, sir, and then there's the infantry. 80,000 of them. All of them Line Infantry. We also have 300 Conqueror helicopters and two Carrier Battlegroups are moving up to provide us with air-support. For now we're relying on native and allied air support. As for artillery... we have twenty four heavy 15" seige guns, and about 150 mobile 6" and 8" guns. But surely you already know this, sir?"
The General brushed the question aside, still not looking up, and continued, "Do you think we can win?" The dispatch looked taken aback.
"Why of course, sir!" The man barked back, as if it were a reflex.
"And the men? Do they think we can win?"
"Have we ever lost in the past, sir?" He continued, exuding the same aura of patriotism as before
"Have we ever fought another professional army in the past?" The dispatch didnt know how to handle this question, but instead stuttered back,
"What are you trying to say, sir?"
"Oh, nothing. But a lot of people think this will be easy, and it won't. It'll take every ounce of strength we can muster to defeat this foe. Make sure you remember that. Dismissed."
The Sea, 80nm from RB City
Two submarines travelled parallel, but several nautical miles apart. The stealthy craft skulked several hundred meters beneath the waves, but receiving word from Praeton that there would be retaliation for Sea-Side city, their ballast tanks were slowly emptied and the craft drifted closer to the surface.
"Sir, we're ready to fire," the Missile Officer aboard the PWS Suprise said to his Commodore in overall command of the submarine forces in Roach-Busters.
"Hmmm? Fire when ready, Missile Officer," the Commodore replied. The VLS hatches on top of the sleek submarine shattered and broke, releasing their deadly cargo of missiles to the surface, and on to the government offices in the Roach-Buster capital. Thirty two missiles each capable of levelling the average city-block.
Mihailovich Province, Roach-Busters
"Sir!" another messanger, this time not wearing riding boots or a brass helmet, but a tanker's uniform, "Doomingslandi forces are marching towards the capital. This is confirmed by satellite imagery."
"Indeed? Well, the enemy marches. We must march to meet them! Varrus," he beconed his orderly, "Distribute orders! We march towards the capital."
Within hours, the entire army was mounted in their tanks, IFVs, APCs and assorted vehicles, including anti-aircraft vehicles. At the vanguard, the 200 Phalanx MBTs would be the first to see combat.
"Have you heard of the Battle of the Marne, Colonel Meridus?"
"Of course, sir," replied the commander of the Phalanx Brigade, "the defining battle of the Great European War."
"Well this shall be our Marne, Colonel. We will hit them in the flank as they deal with the native armies, and then we shall sweep them aside. I have sent messangers ahead via helicopter, informing my counterpart in Draza. He need only smash into them with everything he can muster from the city, and victory will be ours," the General's tone dropped, "well... it will stave off defeat at least. We only need this one victory, Colonel, and we still have a chance. If not, I will have to retreat to the sea."
"Well we can't have that sir," the Colonel replied, "Don't worry. My boys won't let you down, sir."

X Corps Mobile Command Center
As the M-35C mobile command vehicle rolled across the plains, jolting the men inside upside down, General Spurius looked at the latest satelite photos. The Praetonian army was on the move. And they had 200 Phalanx MBTs accompanying them.
This truley complicated his plans. Rather than a quick siege, he would now have to face an almost equal force in open combat. He would have to make a bit of adjustment to his plans, now. His army would now halt roughly 100 miles out of Draza and establish a decent defense. Luckily, his army was equiped with the latest surface-to-air missiles from DDI and he would be recieving air support from Fort Publius. Three squadrons of F78 air superiority fighters were now operating out of there from a nearby airfield along with an E767, so air superiority was almost assured.
100 miles was actualy within range of his new M119 Archangel self propeled howitzers, as they used an electro-thermal main gun assisted with EMAS and DGA. Couple that with jet assisted ammunition, and you could plink targets from well beyond fifty miles.
Now that he thought of it, this was even better for him. This would be the M-29A3 Arbiter's first test in combat against a competant foe. He would surely be rewarded with a Triumph should he emerge victorious. Of course, not emerging victorious would mean being tried for heresy by the Inquisition, so all the better that he win.
Then he realized something. III Mobile Infantry was on its way to the capital as he pondered a new strategy. He turned to an aid,
"Lieutenant, recall III Infantry and have them sent to right here," he said, tapping his index finger on a circled area on his LCD moniter. That's where the rest of the army would set up. "Have the entire corps halt there and establish temporary. Make no movements that would suggest we are altering our plans. The Praetonians no doubt know of our approach on the capital."
"Right away, sir," came the robotic sounding voice from his aid through his helmet.
Spurius had chosen his terrain well. His front line units would set themselves up along some nearby elevated terrain, allowing for the tanks to use their main guns to their full potential. The M-35A1 Testudos and M-29A3 Arbiters would be making initial contact, making use of the superior range on their main guns to pick of the Praetonian tanks at ranges exceeding 10 kilometers, or using LOSAT missiles in a similar manner. Spurius knew that man-wise he was outnumbered, but he had six hundred Arbiters at his command.
Now, he had ordered temporary positions for a reason. He wanted his men to be able to pack up and move on a whim. He figured the Praetonians wouldn't fall for such an obvious trap, and this battle would more than likely be a mobile one. He was probably right.

Draza
It had been a disaster. In a few hours tens of thousands of men were lost, ten divisions had had their backs broken in such a way that they would never rise again. Things weren’t over yet, tens of thousands more, dozens more divisions remained to carry on the fight but things would have to change if they were to last much longer. Before that could happen the capital had to be saved, the Doomingsland army had to be thrown back before Draza fell.
Draza was a whirlwind of activity, the government was near collapse officials trying to flee before the city was lost. Civilians by the hundreds formed a sea flowing south and east. The peoples confidence had been broken when word of the twin defeats had reached them, what could possibly stop the Doom army from taking the city? While the people went out one way the army went the opposite. A good sized force, eight Infantry divisions, a popular regional division, a mechanized division, three reserve divisions and most importantly a single armored division. It was a strong force, number wise it was stronger than the army opposing it but many of the men were reservists and militia, and many of the others were losing heart. It would be a tough fight even with the Preatorians coming up from the coast but there wasn’t much choice, this battle had to be won.
To do the job a desperate plan was thought up. It was risky but there wasn’t much else they could do unless they wanted to repeat what their brethren had done at Fort Publius. The force coming from Draza was split in two with the armored and mechanized along with an infantry division heading north while the rest continued heading straight toward the Doom army. The main force was to stop 15 km from the Doom lines and wait until the armored fist and the Preatorians got into place. Either way unless the Doom army wheeled around it had its flank exposed to the main force coming out of Draza since they wee facing the Preatorians coming from the coast. There still was a wildcard, the Doom III corp.

Lieutenant Colonel Buzz Hardwolf (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/Buzz.jpg), the commander of the Transylvanian army/Air base in RB and commander of the 27th Hellspawns, was behind his desk in the command building. In front of him satellite photos of both the Doomingsland and Generic Empire bases, two photos for each base. One of them was a before shot of the rebel attack and the other after the rebel attack. The Lieutenant Colonel had live feed of the attack on the Doomingsland base. He like the way the defeat the enemy by using hidden weapons. His base has hidden weapons, too. Then a knock on his door makes him look up. “Come in.” he said.
A young man maybe 21 years old walked in wear a satellite officer’s duster over his Transylvanian body armor (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/TransylvanianBA.jpg) “Sir, the Doomingsland forces are moving to Draza.” the man said.
“Good, track them and give me a live feed when the fighting starts.” ordered Buzz. “You’re dismissed.”
“Yes, sir.” said the man before he headed back to the satellite room, where TV were linked with the satellites the space. After the man was out of his office, the Lieutenant Colonel picked up his phone and asked “Our guests here?”
“Yes, sir.” said a voice on the other end of the phone.
“You give them their orders?” asked the Lieutenant Colonel.
“Yes, sir.” said the voice.
“Good.” said the Lieutenant Colonel then he hung up the phone. These guests that he was talking about, where the agents of the Agency.

"Alright... I invade right now Bob."
Damnit...
The Great Leader didn't know what he was getting into really, or how Bob managed to talk him to into invading. Anyway, it was too late. It was either that or watching as that moralistic, Papist swinefucker Helldawg took over Roach Buster's government. Who needed yet another regime that ruled with the blessing of a "God"?
Rhetorical questions aside, it was time to get ready for invasion. The Great Leader had previously put the military on standby, and they had been gathering men and materials for invasion. Now, all that had to be done was to load everything up and sail out. That step would take a while, but it wouldn't be that long.
The Great Leader picked up the phone and dialed his Defense Ministry. He said only 2 words: "Get Ready."

General Stasio Vlyanycz watched a satellite feed of the area over the battlezone. Huge thick clouds of black smoke hung over the area as the forests blazed yellow and orange. Burning caracasses of vehicles were scattered over the narrow roadways. He watched as a medium sized suspension bridge was shattered by a fireball, tumbling into the sea and blocking a column of retreating armor and infantry. Moments later the column was left in ruin as a pair of GH-A3 attack helicopters moved in and opened fire with rockets and heavy cannon. He nodded silently as he witnessed this, his face solemn and grave, calculating.
“Sir the majority of the surviving rebel elements have broken into a full retreat. Generian units on the ground are reporting detached pockets of resistance around a small town to the south, and cutoff rebel infantry regiments scattered to our west. Imperial mobile rifle units are en route to finish them off.”
“Excellent. Keep the pressure on the others. We don’t have to kill all of them. Just enough to keep them off our backs for a while.”
“Yes sir.”
--------
“Twenty seconds!”
Sergeant Milos Krzeckycz watched the smoke rising above the clearing through the trees ahead, marking the small town where rebel elements had set themselves up to hold out for reinforcements that would never arrive. He shouldered his GIR-47 and took up a crouching position beside the door of the chopper as 30mm guns opened fire on the streets below.
“Touchdown! Move!”
The doors were thrown open, and Sergeant Krzeckycz barreled out into the dusty dirt street. Fire erupted from the windows of run down two story houses and shops, and two Imperial soldiers fell. Milos took up position behind a burned out sedan and searched for a target. The roar of rotors overhead was broken by the scream of rockets and explosions.
“There! Suppressing fire!”
Imperial infantry opened fire on a shattered shop window across the street, as milos and two others dashed towards a doorway across from their position to the right. The large Generian slammed his shoulder into a makeshift door consisting of an overturned card table nailed to the doorway. The fortification gave in, and Milos found himself face to face with a surprised rebel soldier. The Generian slammed the butt of his rifle into the man’s jaw, and sent him sprawling to the floor while the other two Imperial soldiers fired over his shoulder at a rebel dashing down a staircase. The figure crumbled and rolled down the stairs to the floor.
“Clear!”
As the team made to move towards the staircase, a shriek grew louder in their ears, proceeding an artillery shell that slammed into the second story. The old ceiling crumbled, and a wooden beam landed on the back of Milos’s head, knocking him unconscious. Outside, the fighting continued to rage as a pair of Generian ST-29 tanks rumbled into the town center and took aim at the rest of the garrisoned houses.
Milos heard voices before sense returned to his eyes.
“Here’s one! He’s alive! Generian!”
“Two more over here look like Imperial troops. Got some rebel fuckers blown in half over there.”
Milos felt himself being hefted onto his back. Blinking, he saw a blurred face hovering over him.
“He’s coming to. Take it easy, sergeant.”
Milos sat up, and looked around. The sky was clearly visible, as it seemed the entire upper half of the building had been blown clean away. An Imperial G-119 IFV idled in the street outside, beside the smoldering ruins of several structures.
The Generian sergeant attempted to get to his feet, but a searing pain in his lower back and legs forced him back onto the ground.
“Hmm. I’d say two broken shins. He won’t be walking out of here.”
Milos groaned. Any resentment at his plight was driven out of his head by a sharp ache as a result of the scream of a jet engine. Two more Generians lifted him and carried him over to the IFV, loading him into the back of the vehicle.
---------------
The survivors of the attempted assault had abandoned their armor and retreated through the woods out of sight of Imperial air cover, presumably to regroup for a later assault. The command structure had been near entirely severed. A good deal of officers were unaccounted for, including the man in charge of the assault, and the son of president Mihailovic. His command vehicle had been hit by an artillery shell near the beginning of the ambush, but his body had not been recovered, leaving his status officially as ‘missing’.

Mt. Doom Facility, Doomingsland
A random intel analyst sat at his desk, sipping coffee. He'd been monitering the moniter of Pwnage forces for the past ten minutes.
"Sir! I think you'd better come see this!" he yelled down the row of desks to his superior, who immediatly came bolting over.
"What is it, corporal?"
"MassPwnage, sir. They've mobilized a few fleets and have put some more HK sats into orbit." he said in an as-a-matter-of-factly tone
"Gee, big surprise," came the sarcastic response from the big burly lieutenant, "Alright, I'll inform the High Command. FOG should be going to high alert. Those godless chinks don't know who they're messin' with." he said in somewhat joking tone.
FOG stood for 'Fist of God', Doomingsland's satelite weapons network. It consisted of hundreds of satelites, ranging from hunter-killers to ABM to godrods and simple recon satelites. FOG going on increased alert was an obvious move towards a full out space war. Right now the Hunter-Killer portion of FOG would be on highest alert status, the command sation now manned 24/7 as to allow for immediate counter attacks.
The Emperor was fully aware of the goings on of this conflict, and was inturrupted in the middle of a hunt to learn of the increased tensions with MP. He had been delighted that he was finally going to put those "godless, three-foot tall pinkoes" in their places.

They appeared to grow rotating wings, about 7 to 10 feet long. By now, many people recognized them as helicopters. But from whom, and why? A few Roach-Busterians started to run away, think that it was an attack fleet. But then, they could see that the Holy Paradisian Flag was painted onto the helicopters. But why was HP getting involved in this? The alliance broke up a few NS years ago. Suddenly, it dawned on them. The people began to cheer as the helicopters halted and landed on the beach. Out of one helicopter stepped a man in formal high-ranking military officer attire. He was followed by about 15 to 20 soldiers, each carrying M16s. One of the soldiers walked up to the officer. "Sir," he said, "We have landed successfully!"
"Very good. Have the men make a makeshift camp at the nearest park you can find. That will do until we find better accommidations and make plans which cities and areas to send men to." The officer replied.
"Yes, sir, Gen. Washington." The man said. As 15 to 20 soldiers got out of each helicopter, they moved northward into the city.

Down in the depths, they quietly released fiber optic guided, MHD powered UUVs which quietly listened for the noises of ship engines, and searched for their magnetic signatures via MAD. The UUVs had 2 modules each, a module with sensors, and a module with a heavy water ramjet powered torpedo.
Once they got a lock-on on a Generian ship, they would fire the torpedo, which would travel just below the speed at which it would begin supercavitating, homing in on the MAD and passive sonar signature of the ships. Then the UUV would turn off and withdraw back to the sub.

“General Nys’ky sir-“
“I know, I know. I’ve seen the reports.”
“Sir, Praetonian vessels are quickly closing and in time the Pwnage fleets will be arriving offshore.”
“Damnit, man! I said I’ve seen the reports!”
“Sorry, sir.”
Nys’ky leaned back, and put his feet up on the table, drawing on his cigar.
“If there ever was a time, it’s now.”
“Sir?”
“You have your orders General. Operation: Powerslave is to begin immediately, before we’re closed off from the mainland.”
“Of course, sir.”
Nys’ky exhaled deeply, letting the smoke mask the orange glow of the tip of his cigar, one of few sources of light in the dimmed room.

-Good evening, General. As you are no doubt aware, our window of opportunity is fast closing with the approach of the Pwnage and Praetonian fleets. It is the opinion of General Nys’ky and the Emperor that now is the best possible time to move, and so you are hereby given full authorization to initiate Operation: Powerslave. We are certain things will go smoothly under your command. General Nys’ky places his utmost confidence on your abilities. Godspeed, General.

The sun sank low over the horizon, and from the tops of the skyscrapers one could see the sea blazing red with the last rays of the dying solar sphere. General Cestmir Andriev turned his back to the sight as his eyes searched the small screen of the command PDA. He nodded silently, his expression grave. Two officers stood at attention before him, eyes open and clear but unseeing.
“We have received our orders. Operation: Powerslave is go.”
One of the officers saluted and walked over to a small communications apparatus in the corner of the luxury apartment that had been transformed into a secondary command outpost, overlooking RB City’s high rent district. He typed in a series of entry codes, followed by a fourteen-digit number. He stood again, and faced General Andriev.
“Sir, Operation: Powerslave is underway.”
“Very well.”
In the streets, the tension had been visible all day with the news of pending invasions. As per the doctrine and order of Chia Nang Lee, the majority of the citizens were being confined to their homes, though today somehow seemed different, in that no one at all had been on the streets besides the security forces. SAM and anti-missiles batteries had been rotating on the rooftops, searching the skies with radar for incoming hostile aircraft. The Imperial soldiers had been restless. Many had been occupying this city as additional security for nearly two months, and more than a few were eager for action. Now it seemed as if they would soon be getting their wish.
Lieutenant Laszlo Vladistika looked gravely out at the desolate city from the window of the GH-2 gunship. The noise of engines and rotors seemed somehow dulled by the thick air of impending chaos and imminent war, and he himself felt the entire affair had a rather hallucinogenic quality about it. In his lap rested a GIR-47S reduced assault rifle, though his hand was instinctively glued to the hilt of his G-9 sidearm. Like the other Black Guardsmen in the chopper, his face was paint blackened, and his dark fatigues glowed red under the lights of the helicopter.
“Sixty seconds!”
The looming shape of the RB presidential palace appeared over the skyline, casting it’s long shadow with the aid of the almost fully submerged sun. Two-dozen helicopters filled the sky around this one, all heading for the same destination. The grass on the lawn waved under the whirring rotors as black gunships descended. Vladistika’s vehicle touched down and the doors were thrown open. Pressing down on his helmet, he jumped out into the gale. Black helicopters touched down on all sides of the palace, and on the roof, unloading teams of the Empire’s elite, armed and professional in the dusk.
Vladistika switched on his nightvision goggles. Imperial Black Guardsmen had subdued and restrained a pair of confused palace guards at the gate, and presumably others had been likewise treated. He waved his hand forward, and a dozen soldiers rushed ahead to the palace’s main door. He followed, rifle stock resting firmly against his shoulder.
“Charges in place! Fire in the hole!”
A light explosion made way for a cloud of dust as the palace doors blew inward. Black Guardsmen shouted as they rushed into the grand hall, training their weapons on any perplexed household staff and family members that loitered about.
Vladistika walked calmly through the door and surveyed the situation while other teams rushed up the staircase to the upper levels and through doors to the rest of the first level rooms. He shouted out in accented English to the now frightened people.
“Everyone please remain calm. We are here for your own protection. Please lie face down on the floor with your hands over your head, and allow yourselves to be restrained. You will not be harmed. We are here to protect you.”
Upstairs a burst of gunfire resounded as a frightened security guard opened fire on a team. A woman in the main hall shrieked, but was quickly restrained by a Generian soldier. Vladistika’s radio crackled.
“We found J.L. He’s in his room.”
“I’ll be right up.”
Vladistika turned to a black clad Generian sergeant.
“Keep them under control.”
“Yes, sir.”
Vladistika made his way up to J.L.’s bedroom where the ill man had been confined. He looked understandably irate at the business as Vladistika walked in. (OOC: I presume from another thread that he’s out of the coma)
“What the Hell is the meaning of this!”
The Generian lieutenant raised his hand and spoke calmly.
“Generallissimo, sir, we are here under orders from Emperor Antonius. He has ordered that for your own protection you, Mr. Lee, and your family be removed from RB city and taken to the island of Ntac where you will be protected.”
Further protests resounded but were unheard as three Generian soldiers grabbed the Generallissimo and restrained him, before escorting him towards the door.
Elsewhere, Black Guardsmen proceeded with the apprehension of the Generallissimo’s wife and continued their search for Mr. Chia Nang Lee. Time was running short.

Message from the office of the Presidency of the Holy Republic of Algeristan
To: President Lee of Roach Busters
The Holy Republic of Algeristan would like to ask President Lee if he is aware of the departure of General JL under the escort Generian Imperial troops.
The Generian Imperial authorities have also claimed that you are to be escorted to a 'safe location' as well. Have you consented to this, President Lee?
Algeristan does not know if this situation is something you are party to or if this is a Generian coup.
If this is a Generian coup and your government is replaced by something else, then Algeristan will have to withdrawl ALL of it's security forces who are based in your capital city at this moment.
Algeristan has given it's support and friendship to YOUR government and if your government is removed then we cannot continue to be invloved in the conflict in Roach Busters.
If this is a Roach Busters coup, but you do NOT have the capacity to stop it, Algeristan would like to offer you, President Lee, exile in Algeristan. You would be looked after and safe in our nation.
On another note, what is your response to the MassPwange invasion?

As you may have known by now, Algeristan now has chemical and nuclear weapons, inlcuding long range missiles to deliver them.
As the situation is not looking good from the point of view of your government, with 50% of RB under rebel control, invasion by MassPwange and possible treason by Generia; maybe your salvation lies in a quick strike against the rebels.
There is one possible way to crush the rebellion, thus leaving MassPwange with no rebels to support and calling off her invasion and with the rebellion crushed you can deal with the Generians.
Would you President Lee, allow Algeristan to launch nuclear missiles at EVERY city/large town/military base under rebel control and to use chemical weapons on other smaller towns under rebel control?
Upon the strike, should you consent to it, you could order all RB military forces to retake the rebel held provinces as they would have been totally knocked out by the WMD attack and their morale would be VERY low and the bulk of their forces would have been wiped out.
This may be the turning point you need and the start of a new era of strength and unity for your great nation.

The agents of the Agency leave the Transylvanian A/A base during the cover of the night. Each one of them had a mission. Each group has a rental car to drive because they could not use the army vehicles.
First up was Young Jude Lopez and Darren Slade to left the base, they are heading to the Salazar province. They would go all the way through the Tshombe province as fast as they could then rent or take a boat to cross Lake Thiensiri. After their little boat trip, they would be on the other side of the lake and in the McCarthy province. From there, they would cross the Salazar-McCarthy border and head to Oliveira. The men had everything they need with them; money, some type of weapon, and passports that look real but didn‘t have their real names. Their mission was to kidnap or kill Antonio Sampaio.
Then the master and the student left the base. Trent Knight and Cody Foxx were to head to the Menzies province. These two would take almost the same trip as Lopez and Slade but as they enter the Salazar, they would continue straight across the whole province. After they would pass the Salazar-Menzies border, they would head to Coral Harbor. Both men had the same thing as Lopez and Slade have. Their mission was to kidnap or kill Hiram Simpson Holt.
Next to the leave the base was the sniper and his backup. Dash Shadow and Rocky Midnight were to head to the Batista province. They would cross the Rhee-Pinochet border and go right through the Pinochet province. After they cross the Pinochet-Batista border, they were to head to Seaside City. Dash had his sniper rifle in his black case and Rocky had his weapon on him. Pluis, each man had money and fake passports. Their mission was to find Emilio Rios Gonzalez and kill him.
The two older men, Adam Cranston and Dean Tungsten, were the next agents to left the base. The Papadopoulos province was where they are heading. Now, these two would be take a difference trip. They would head to the other side of the Rhee province, to gain access to the Gulf of Roach-Busters. They would rent or take a boat to head to the Smith province. After they made it Smith province, they would cross the Smith-Papadopoulos border and head to the capital. When in Nikolaos, their mission would be to kill Eleftherios Zaimis. Both men had the same thing as Lopez and Slade have
Lastly, the two female ninjas left the base. The Mihailovich province was where Roxanne Chang and Nikki Moses were heading. Roxanne being a secret daughter of Count JWolf made her a half human/vampire. The two female would enter the Tshombe province and wait for word that two of the other State Presidents had been killed. After they get the news, the two women would head across the Tshombe-Mihailovich border and head to Draza. After they make it into the capital, they would find and watch Sergei Mihailovich. When the next State President is killed, they would acted and try to kill Sergei. The two ladies have the same thing as the other agents. Now, it was a waiting game.

From: President Bakr of Algeristan
The enemy nations who have been supporting the rebels have intercepted my last secret message to you regarding our plan to use a WMD strike to take out the rebels.
They have now made threats to use WMDs on Algeristan, which would all but wipe out my nation.
Thus we regret to inform you that we cannot use WMDs against our common rebel enemy.
As we are now unable to use WMDs and our military forces (both RB's and ours) are unable to win this war via conventional means, we suggest that you allow RB to be partitioned into two new nations, one under your rule and the other under rebel rule.
As your main area of control lies in the east of RB, we suggest you take the following RB regions for your new nation:
*Somoza
*Rhee
*Tshombe
*Palhavi
*Franco
*Pinochet
*McCarthy
*Chiang
The rebels can take RB city and you could have your new capital in Liberty City.
This is the only way I can see that you can keep yourslef in power, abliet a power that does not cover all of RB, but at least you can have some power.
If you reject this, then I will repeat my offer of a safehaven in Algeristan, should you want it.

They walked to what look like a guard shack. As Dash walked in front of the window, the guard inside the shack was shot in the back of the head by Rocky.
Dash continues to the edge of the garage, the side facing the office building. Rocky took over the guard’s shack as Dash placed his case in the back of a pickup truck.
The back of the truck was looking at the office building. Dash dropped the tailgate down and hopped in. He opens his case and start putting his rifle together.
After he was done, he lines the shot up and Rocky was standing guard. If somebody went after that truck, Rocky would kill him or her. Now, it was a waiting game for Emilio Rios Gonzalez to get in his chair.

The red car passed in front of their target's office building. Dash pulled the car over and Rocky got out to go inside. Once inside, he hit on the woman at the front desk. After a couple of minutes of talking with him, she gives him a map of the whole building. He then asks her out for some drinks later. After she said yes, he head back to the car. Dash pulled back on to the road and drove forwards.
"Where is his office at?" asked Dash.
Rocky opened the map and scan the blueprints. "Front of the building on the three floor." He said.
“Good, I know right where to set up shop.” said Dash turning on the first street to the left. He went down four blocks and turns left on to another street. After driving a little more, he turn into an aboveground parking garage. He drove to the top floor and parked in the first parking space. Dash and Rocky got out at the same and walked to the trunk. Gonzalez sat back in his desk, puffing a cigar and peering over the latest war reports. He was perturbed to learn that the Generians and Doomingslandians were far more persistent, cunning, and ruthless than he had anticipated. Yet, on the plus side, Praetonia, one of the mightiest naval powers in the world, as well as MassPwnage, another superpower, had intervened on RBA's side. Perhaps the tide would be turned after all. He stood from his desk to get another cup of coffee. He walked over to the window and looked outside, sipping coffee and taking in the sunlight, when all of a sudden he noticed a sniper rifle, being pointed directly at him. Before he could run, let alone, mutter, "Shit," the trigger was pulled, and blood squirted from his forehead in rivulets as he collapsed to his knees, then fell face-first to the floor, his dead body wallowing in a spreading pool of crimson blood and viscous, pinkish brain tissue.

"Got him." said Dash as he took his rifle apart and placed it in the sniper case. He hopped out of the back of the truck and head to the red car. Passing the guard shack, Rocky walked out with his weapons hidden.
After throwing their stuff in the trunk but Rocky still had the MP-5 with him, Dash jumped into the driver's seat and Rocky hopped into the back. The car backed out of its space and head to the bottom of the parking garage. It pulled on to the road leading to that Pinochet-Batista border. Four hours and they would be out of the Batista province.
-----
Meanwhile, the team of Young Jude Lopez and Darren Slade took a whole day to get across the Tshombe province. Then they rented a boat to get to the other side of Lake Thiensiri. It would take them four hours to get all the way across the lake.
-----
Trent Knight and Cody Foxx were on the lake, too. It took them a whole day to get across the Tshombe province, too. They would dock on the other side of the lake an hour behind Lopez and Slade.
-----
The two older men took 14 hours to make it across the Rhee province. Then after renting a fast fishing boat, they began their journey across to the Smith province. It would take them about two days to make it there in that boat.
-----
Roxanne and Nikki waited in a small town on the edge of the Tshombe-Mihailovich border. In their hotel room, they were making sure their blades were ready. Both of them were in his underwear. Roxanne had her two swords on her bed and Nikki had her five throwing daggers on her bed. The TV was on the news channel.

Mr. Lee,
Please accept first my deepest condolences concerning J.L.'s condition; unfortunately this is the first time I have been able to write.
I write you with an offer I sincerely hope you will consider. The civil war going on in Roach-Busters has caused very much unnecessary destruction in your nation, and continuing this war will only result in a few very detrimental outcomes. The first is that Roach-Busters will be rendered helpless in the international scene, as your military and treasury are no doubt being siphoned away in this conflict. The physical country will be burned and scarred for years to come, and countless thousands of civilians may die needlessly. Finally, those you defeat will only become martyrs to those nations which oppose you, and may even cause some nations on the fence to be driven into support of your enemies. Even now, my own subjects protest what they see as excessive violence on behalf of your regime and its allies.
I hereby offer my services as a mediator, to bring swift end to this conflict. I ask that you or a representative of your government meet with representatives of the separatists in a neutral area, preferably in Malkyer, where I and a selected panel will preside over negotiations.
If you do not wish to attend yourself, then I implore you to send someone to represent you. Violence has given your nation only suffering, and even if you do defeat the separatists, there will only be more revolts in the future.
Sincerely,
Dayan Saard I

We do not want to earn such a repugnant reputation. Regardless of the cost in lives and dollars, we will fight on, expending every last resource until the separatists are languishing on a searing skillet in the stygian pits of Hell and victory is in our hands. Both of them continue their work. After four hours have passed, Roxanna said "I'm calling this hit off."
"What?" said Nikki. "I will loss my money for this hit."
"I will pay you back." said Roxanne. "Get dress, we are heading to RB city." After they were dressed and packed their stuff up, they both head outside to their car. The rental van, that Lopez and Slade were in, had logos of a huge delivery company on it. Lopez and Slade found the house of Antonio Sampaio on Sea Turtle lane. It had a high stone fence and an iron gate. To their surprise the gate was wide open. Lopez drove up the driveway and stop in front of the garage. Both men got out of the van; they were wearing a suit with the same logos on it. The two men walked open to the front and rung the doorbell. There was a package in Slade’s hands.

OOC:Um, I kinda was planning to attack you WAAAY before you got within 15 kilometers. Consider this post taking place before your current one.
IC:
As the enemy drew nearer and nearer, General Spurius' plan began to be set in motion. When the enemy was roughly eighty miles away, he called up two squadrons of F/A-91E multi-role fighters to go flatten the rebels' mechanized and artillery capabilities. Of the forty-eight aircraft, each was equiped with four AGM-1066 JSHAAM anti-tank standoff munitons. At a range of forty naughtical miles, each fighter released its deadly payload. The weapons quickly deployed wings, and glided towards the rebel army.
Once they reached their various targets consisting of artillery and armored vehicles, the weapons would split open and the first stage of their eight anti-armor munitions would commence. A tiny rocket motor on all of the munitions would send it into the air before shutting down and deploying a parachute. As they decended, their air-to-ground radar systems and IR sensors would search for armored vehicles. Once suitable targets were found, the chutes would be detached and another rocket would fire up, sending them flying straight into the roof of the enemy vehicles. A DU penetrator would make sure that they pierced their target, and a thermite charge would make sure that there wouldn't be any living crew to speak of. This would also aid in cooking off any ammunition stored in the turrets of the vehicles.
There were exactly 1536 individual anti-tank munitions attacking their assigned targets. Not enough to annihilate the force, but enough to severely cripple their ability to make war.
After the munitions had been launched, the initial force drove down from the hill, forming a great armored wedge, consisting of several small wedges. At the front of this force were 485 M-29A3 Arbiter main battle tanks, with 600 M-35A1 Testudo cavalry fighting vehicles forming the flank. At the center were mechanized infantry mounted in the IFV varient of the Testudo, and another 1,000 older M-29A2s.
This force headed towards the combined rebel and Praetonian army, followed by 300 HIMARS MLRS systems, and escorted by 100 SAH-27 Peregrine attack helicopters. Forming the air gaurd of this force were 48 F-78C King Demon air superiority fighters, supported by an AWACS. The land forces also had JSTARS support.
General Spurius had seen the rebels' flanking maneuver, and had detatched an armored cavalry regiment to engage them, supported by eight A-12A Barbarian close air support birds.
Of course, there was more than one wild card for the Imperial Army. One, they'd left behind their 300 M-119 Archangel self-propeled howitzers in case the Praetonians made use of their giant siege guns, and had them gaurded behind a wall of surface-to-air missiles and concealed ATGM armed infantry. The howitzers themselves were also well concealed, making them difficult to locate.
III Mobile Infantry was currently on standby for their role in the battle...

"Sir, the native army is advancing. They've stolen an hour's march on us!" The Colonel barked anxiously, shaking his General awake. The entire army was till advancing, and most of it was asleep in its vehicles.
"Good god. How far are we from their positions?"
"One hundred miles, but they're advancing. Satellite telemetery tells us tanks, and light vehicles. The seige guns have set up way back, sir. They're almost ready to fire."
"Guarded by an infantry Battalion as I ordered?"
"Yes, sir. Along with adequate SAM cover. As much as we could afford anyway. They're concentrating their air attacks on the native army right now."
"Good. Now, they'll most likely hit us when we get closer. They'll need time to refuel and rearm, so we've got a good hour yet... maybe less. Order the Hoplite Is to the front, intermingled with SAMs and Badgers. Keep the IFVs back behind the SAM shield with the Phalanxes."
"Very good sir," the Colonel affirmed, passing on the instructions to the vehicle's radio operator.
"Oh, and have those 15"ers open fire. 3/4 on the enemy tanks, the other finding the enemy guns. They'll open up soon enough, and then we can triangulate 'em."
"Yes sir. I order the guns dig in, sir, and they have tank rooves. Not sure how much that'll do against medium calibre plunging fire, but still."
"Good work, Colonel. The battle begins here. Have the SAMs fire as soon as we're in range of their planes. That'll be at about 78km, which means if they loiter above the native army we'll be in range soon. The radar arrays have ARCaDI? [OOC: Active Radar Cancellation Defeating Initiative - ask me on MSN if you want to know how.]
"Yes, sir. The SAMs are state of the art - RAMjets and IR secondary imagers. It's only some of the tanks we're worried about."
"Very good, Colonel. Carry on."
Behind the Lines - XIV Imperial Artillery
Some 50 miles away, the great 15" seige guns were readying to fire. They were entrentched to an extent. Large mounds of dirt had been built up in front of them, and were constantly being added to, with the glacis now lapping around the sides and eventually to the rear. The tank rooves were pretty comprehensive too, although obviously a hole had to be cut at the front for the gun to elevate properly.
There were other trucks too - satellite uplinks for GPS guidance, power supplies for enhanced EM assist and radar to co-ordinate the SAM systems also mounted on seperate trucks. All of this was guarded by arrowhead slit trenches built spreading out from the compound in every direction, with barbed wire in front. There was free-movement between them, but if an enemy tried to exploit this they would be subjected to withering enfilading fire from both sides and in some cases ahead too.
"Ready to fire, sir!" Boomed the Artillery Colour-Sergeant, the highest ranking NCO in the Battalion.
"Very good, Sergeant," the Colonel acknowledged. He steadied himself for the inevitable shockwaves of the gun blasts. He took a deep breath, and shouted, "The guns shall give fire!" The end of 'fire' was consumed by the sound of the guns. Eighteen massive shells hurtled towards the enemy tank formations, along with a further six to three different possible sights identified for the enemy artillery.
Off the Coast of Roach-Busters, PWS Citadel
"Sir, we have received orders to fire," said the radio officer aboard the near-silent submarine in a quiet yet authoritative voice, "'The armies advance,' sir," he quoted.
"The entire squadron?" The Captain asked, for an affirmative would mean that in the next few hours, the first major battle the Praetonian army had fought for some years would soon be joined.
"Yes, sir."
"Very good, Lieutenant. Ready the missiles for firing," he barked at the weapons station, the operator of which immediately relayed insturctions to the missile bays.
"One hundred and twenty missiles," the Captain said to himself, softly. He knew that each one contained enough explosives to level a well constructed fortification, and twenty four of these were specially designed on-shore support missiles packed with shrapnel and tungsten balls, "God help them."

X Corps Artillery HQ
The commander of the artillery had been sensible enough to spread his artillery out as to make shelling them at random extremely difficult.
"Sir! We're getting incoming on radar!" yelled a random lieutenant manning the hub of all of the counter-battery radar.
They'd managed to pick up the exact launching area of the enemy artillery shortly after they'd fired.
"Alright, get me some counter-battery fire ASAP. Turn those fancy-ass guns into scrap!" replied the general.
The enemy shells hitting the artillery had killed roughly five guns, and those had been lucky hits. They were only guessing where the artillery was, so they were very lucky, indeed.
The main body had initialy lost 12 IFVs, a few trucks, and a tank. They were on the move, so the Praetonians really couldn't expect to get anything better out of their first barrage.
Suddenly, the ground shook and a deafening roar consumed the hills as the remaining 295 guns opened up of the Praetonian artillery. Their jet assisted, GPS-guided ammunition would deploy tiny winglets when in mid flight, allowing for the shells to maneuver a bit and make course corrections, making them all the more accurate. After firing off a burst of three rounds in roughly ten seconds, the artillery quickly vacated their current spots and headed to different pre-prepared areas, making any data gathered via counter-battery radar obsolete.
Imperial IV Squadron
Staying roughly eighty miles out of Praetonian SAM coverage, the thirty F-41C STOVL fighters each released four AHARM (advanced high-speed anti-radiation missiles) missiles each. The missiles would home in on the radar emmisions produced by the Praetonian SAM systems, and would approach at speeds exceeding mach three. Upon their arrival at their targets, the missiles would burst above, showering the equivelent area of a football field in submunitions. This would hopefully destroy other targets of oppurtunity in the immediate area, as well. After that, they turned tail and RTBed, preparing for another sortie against the enemy's air defenses.
X Corps Main Body
Prewarning of the cruise missile strike came from their radar picket and AWACS, so the M-176 Triarii II air defense vehicles were ready when the missiles got within range of their surface-to-air missiles. They immediatly opened up with a barrage of MIM-125 Pilum surface-to-air missiles while the fighters flying above unleashed a barrage of short range AAMs. These missiles, utilising 3D thrust vectoring, would do quite some damage to the incoming missiles, but not near enough to annihilate them. Roughly half of the missiles got through. As the high velocity anti-tank submunitions began to fall to the Earth, the Arbiter tanks' Pilum CAMD system went to work, fireing off thousands of flechettes at the enemy rounds. Some tanks weren't so lucky. 37 MBTs and 129 IFVs were destroyed by this attack. There were roughly 800 people out of action, wounded and dead, with countless others recieving more minor wounds thanks to the protection of their body armor against shrapnel.

OOC: Really, it is up to RB to let you land. Some people have a real life, so NS is something that do on their free time.

The Doom missiles cut there way into the open columns. Most of the tanks were equipped with some sort of anti-missile defense system and those began engaging the incoming munitions. Thousands of flechettes exploded outwards ripping thru the missiles while tracers from other close in systems hunted down others. Dozens of missiles shot back as the SAM systems returned fire. Each Doom aircraft was targeted by multiple missiles which hunted them down. Casualties were heavy, especially among the artillery and older tanks which weren’t equipped to handle such an attack, just over a thousand burning, twisted wrecks dotted the roads while many others barely crawled along. Number wise that loss could easily be sucked up but it was more than the destroyed vehicles it was the confusion caused. The advance was halted right there. The infantry divisions were forced up front to form a defensive line to hold off the Doom force if they came but that was easier said than done maneuvering thru a sea of gutted vehicles. Behind the infantry the artillery, or what remained of it tried to set up to strike back. A fraction of the available artillery was in place to fire when the order went out, 250 200mm howitzers and 100 Magistrate 2 Heavy Artillery cannons opened up on the advancing Doom force. A few of the shells split open to spread mines in front of and among the advancing Doom vehicles to buy time for the divisions to reorganize and get into place.
Something else had to be done to gain more time and so a strike was called up to hit the Doom advance. Seven squadrons of Lu-12 Canaries covered by five Lu-05 squadrons raced to the skies. Speeding to the fight they reached a point 130km from the Doom advance quickly. Once there the 84 Canaries let loose a barrage MLAM-2 missiles. 756 of the missiles streaked out each targeting a different tank or armored vehicle on its decent to the Doom lines. The Octagen solid rocket fuel booster accelerated each missile to speeds exceeding mach 2. The ONC warhead would be more than enough to shear its way thru any target it met.
Another sortie struck out at the armored regiment moving out to engage the flanking column. It was much smaller, only three Canary squadrons and two Lu-05 squadrons but the armored regiment wasn’t as well protected as the main force. From the same distance the Canaries fired off 324 MLAM-2 missiles to cripple the regiment before it could endanger the flanking movement. After the Canaries left the Lu-05’s crept in a little closer to 120km before launching off their own missiles, this time at the A-12A Barbarian’s flying overhead. Each Lu fired off two missiles meaning every Barbarian received 6 missiles coming their way.
