Faction Function: Technocrats
How It's Governed: Military Organisation
Who: Military

Faction #3:

Your Faction Name: Worcester Free State
Faction Function: Urbanist in the center, with Agricultural on the outskirts and Scavanger gangs that go out beyond the land under the control of the State.
How It's Governed: Oligarchy(Scientists are in charge)
Who (Military, or Citizen): Scientists(500)=Citizen, Militia(1,986)=Military, Civilians=9,989, Elite Guard(25)=Military
How Big (Too big and I won't accept it): 12,526 people in Worcester County, Massachusetts and the surrounding
What Tech Used:

Scientists: Pre-crash technology, although they had been secretly perfecting cloning during the Bush Dictatorship.

Militia= Old Soviet Light Weapons(Ak-47's, RPG-7's),12 technicals, and an old T-60

Civilians= mostly mid-1900's farming technology, cars from the late 90's for the very rich(about 100 cars)

Elite Guard= Modern Chinese light weapons, 3 Humvees, a Little Bird Helicopter.

Faction Function: Uh, communal! Largely agricultural to light industrial/semi-urban
How It's Governed: Communal direct democracy
Who: Citizen
How Big: 1,620
What Tech Used: None-standard pre-war privately-held firearms, limited workshop munitions production

Faction #5:

Faction Name: New York City Industrialists Union (NYCIU)
Faction Function: Urban
How It's Governed: Industrialist Consulate. With the government down the drain, a small group of businessmen who had managed to maintain their wealth despite the war, and banded together to gain power. These men govern as a council. Capitalism and industry are key policies.
Who: Businessmen paying guys with guns to control the populus, basically. However, the promise of jobs has kept most of the people inside NYCIU happy.
How Big: The NYCIU has only just gotten off the ground, being primarily based in North Queens, mainly pieces of Flushing, including La Guardia, Jackson Heights and Long Island City. 36,000 people, including leaders, civilians and 'military' are part of the NYCIU.
Tech: Former civilian stuff refitted to be used militarily, variety of weapons bought from former American military personnel.

Faction #6:

Faction: Hell's Angels

Faction Type: Scavengers, biker gang

Size: 10,000

Government: Leader selected by the gang based on attributes such as physical strength and skill on a chopper. Any member can challenge for leadership at any time, but the reigning leader gets to pick the grounds for the challenge.

Your Faction Name: Democratic peoples republic of bristol
Faction Function: Urban center; Agricultural Outskirts
How It's Governed: Socialist. Each town's local representatives controll an area, distribute food and weaponry, and report to the chancellor personaly when council is in session.
Who (Military, or Citizen): Citizen (Farmers [9000] and Millitia[5000])
How Big (Too big and I won't accept it): 14000
What Tech Used: Limited technology: a firearm more powerful then a handgun is often only wielded by government officials, for protecting important buildings, or the navy along the southern coastline. farmers use schyths for working the fields (keeping livestock is illegal) and protecting them if the nation is being attacked. Along the southern coastline a navy of old civillian boats (and several wooden rafts) armed with firearms protect it.

Faction #8:

Your Faction Name: The North Virginian Shahdom

Faction Function: Scavengers/raiders

How It's Governed: Essentially a dictatorship by a far-right Iranian American warlord calling himself Shah. The Shah in turn controls central and north Virginia south of DC, where a large community of Iranians live and operates from there, uniting the Iranian Americans of the north with insane gun nuts from central Virginia.

Who (Military, or Citizen): 18,000 Civilians of various types, 3200 military, including 200 elite Ex Military forces. The Military is fairly good, using a few M-60 tanks, M-113s, M-16s, and even a pair of F-16s.

How Big (Too big and I won't accept it): 21,200

What Tech Used: Mostly modern

Your Faction Name:The East Koast Kommunist Militia
Faction Function: Mix of Agricultural, some Urban
How It's Governed:Socialist Dictatorship. (Chinese Style)
Who (Military, or Citizen):Chinese Military, American Liberals Citizens, some American Military.
How Big (Too big and I won't accept it): Area between Washington D.C and Baltimore. About 50,000 People. (I changed it)
What Tech Used: Mostly abandoned Chinese, American and Russo-Chinese Military Equipment. Small navy, Tiny Airforce

Military Numbers: 1500 elites, up to 15,000 militia.

Faction Function:Urban and Agricultural
How It's Governed:Communist. Every town has a counsil and a representative in the federal council.
Who (Military, or Citizen):One and the same. Every citizen who volunteers will be given a gun from the gunstores instate at the age of 18 untill supply runs out. Work is currently under way to erect a manufactureing plant.
How Big (Too big and I won't accept it):Rhode Island...it says 1 mil. pop. but ill say 45,000
What Tech Used:current and theoretical(meaning they liike the idea and are trying to make it practical)
Armed Forces:multitude of yachts with legal assault weapons and rifles...7,500 volunteer militia armed with any rifle and a handgun

Ever since the fall of the Bush regime David Metternich has dedicated himself to bringing America back to her glory days of 1899-1963. His idols were Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Karl Marx. After the invasion and the collapse of the infrastructure of the United States of America he decided to create a functioning community in his native Rhode Island. He began by helping out people on the streets of Providence and offering protection for the good people of Providence. Eventually the gang warfare settled down and he helped set up an election. The people unanimously chose him as their leader. As people from other towns and communitys began flocking to this new republic it began expanding. The Rhode Island Republic now encompases the entire state of Rhode Island. He created a standing Militia of 7,500 men and a small Navy of 20 yachts with assorted weaponry. He helped create agriculture in the surrounding areas of the larger cities in Rhode Island. Lastly he created a Council in every town. Every town sends a delegate to the Federal Council which reports to david Metternich.

Most people didnt go into Jersey anymore, not after all the chemical spills and destroyed factories made living condtions more then harsh. Monty and the Jersey Chemical Rats were the exception, a group of die hard native Jersians, and some people who decited never to leave after the Rats helped them from a few small Red Army incursions...

Monty walked through the dry sewers, emtpty after several main junctions were destroyed at the outbreak of the war. Followed by a few small children carrying c-6 explosive charges, he directed them to stick them on beams after after crawling through small piping and to hurry to get back... After he began to surface an explostion rocked the area, out of man holes everywere, dozens of rats, and the Chemical Rats Squads poured out to attack the shaken Chinese. With gas powered chansawns and shot guns, not a single Jersey Rat was harmed and a new stockpile of antiquated, but much needed ak weaponry was found, as well as food. Less then an hour later, the Chemical Jersey rats were in their secret werehouse dividing the food, to be taken to their respective coidoors to be shared with all the Rats in Jersey. And Monty was hailed and congradulated, with praise that his dad had once been givin only a week before.

"Comrade, see if you can get this fucking biodiesel generator to work."

2 soldiers of the East Koast Kommunist Militia were hunched over in the woods, guns on the ground, fiddling with what appeared to be a large black metal box that was spurting haze gray smoke.

The first soldier, a largeish Chinese man with a goatee, sort of waddled up to the generator and examined it, prodding it slightly and looking at it from all angles. He then turned back to the other soldier, a caucasian with ice blue eyes.

"It should work properly... Nothing appears to be wrong with it."

"Then why the hell isn't the fucking thing charging my batteries." snapped the blue-eyed soldier.

The Chinese soldier picked up the charging unit from the ground.

"You didn't plug it in perhaps?"

"Oh fuck. My bad...", he plugged the charging unit into the generator.

The Chinese soldier, meanwhile, scanned the area in front of him. Nothing. Watch duty was rather boring anyway. When it wasn't boring was when you were getting killed by roving bands of deserters, or worse yet, wastelander biker gangs.

Life in the post collapse era was a profoundly shitty one.... Staking out in Rock Creek Park for Hell's Angels or D.C African thugs was even shittier. The Chinese soldier sighed. He should have gone to college like his parents wanted him to. But noo... he had to enlist. Now he was stuck in a foreign land with no hope of return... Politiburo be damned.

Auburn, on the Outskirts of Neo-Worcester

"Move move move", shouted the Elite Guard in charge of the operation. 200 Militiamen had gathered to fight off a group of 50 or so Scavengers who had attacked the small village of 70. The Militia darted quickly across the open field leading to the village. Although Scavengers had picked up most of the broken down vehicles on the outskirts, pieces still lay here and there and at least one soldier tripped on them. The Scavengers had set the village aflame and were trying to escape when the Militia reached them. The Militias quickly shot down about 30 of the Scavengers before they jumped to hide. They then threw some grenades, blowing up 30 militia. While the Militia and the Scavengers skirmished, the Elite Guard found a way behind the Scavengers. He loaded up his Machine-gun, set it on a tripod, and opened fire on the scavengers(who had their backs turned to the gun). Needless to say, they were wiped out quickly.

"Harrumpf. It looks like they were from the Springfield area..." said one of the Militia as he looked down on the corpses of the scavengers. Springfield had been a large city before the Chinese attacked, and soon afterwards Springfield went from city to battleground. The few thousand survivors became Scavengers and roamed around the countryside. Worcester had avoided that fate, but just barely. Fighting had all but wiped out the population(For example, Worcester had more than 200,000 people before. Now it has 7,000. The then-town of Auburn had 30,000 people. Before the scavengers torched it and killed anyone, it had 70. Now, it has 0), but the Cloners and their Elite Guard brought stability to the area. Sort of. Worcester was safe, but as the attack on Auburn showed, even the neighboring areas were at risk of being attacked.

Thousands of acres of land were completely ungaurdable by one huge wall. They simply did not have enough materials to protect all that land. Green Sun has collective farm communities and collective herds that they would grow and feast on together, since seperating themselves for the sake of individual gain was useless. They organized a senate and a president, a low-ranking General, Homer Hughe, who had survived the chinese invasion. A small handfull of his troops survived and are still loyal to him and Green Sun, but most of Green Sun's militia was a bunch of men with shotguns and rifles. A huge project was initiated to protect the urban areas and some of the farms and herding areas. The people didn't fear corruption, for they simply wanted to live their lives, not become involved with the lives of other factions who may have survived. They grew lots of food and prepared some for trading, everything else for themselves.
