The preperations were made, most of the needs were in order and done. Ivonov Carilloton looked over the what had become known as 'Black Market Mountain' from his office. The hub of the Red Tide Mafias black weapons market. It was known to most terrorists, arms dealers, and a few drug dealers. But for too long had the Red Tide Mafia had sold outdated Soviet-era weapons. That was about to change. At this upcoming event, they would open up updated weapons they had 'acquired', as well as 2 completely new devices... it swelled Ivonovs heart with pride to know that black market mountain, and thus the arms fair, was under his control, and he would personally be unveiling the two new devices. A door opened behind him, Ivonov turned to see his second in command.

"Everything is ready. All we need to do is send out the message."

Ivonov simply replied, "Do it."

Top Secret Message To All Arms Dealers, Freedom Fighters(OOC:Read:Rebels, terrorists, and geurillas), Oppressed Nations(OOC:Read:Rogue Nations), and Mercenarie Groups/Individuals
"We will be hosting a new Arms Fair. All sorts of weapons our organization has acquired will be unveiled, as well as TWO new devices never seen before. Please send a represetative with a copy of this message to Red Tide via regular commercial airlines. All expenses will be paid. Then go to the following co-ordanites(OOC:These are completely made up, so bear with me):1574, 4231. Have your representative show the copy to the gate gaurds. They will let you in and tell you what to do. Thank you."
End Message

OOC:This is a Open MT RP for all those mentioned above. I will accept(as a matter of fact want) 2 intelligence agencies to intercept the messages and send a spy with a copy just to see whats going on. But no more then 2 seperate nations.

Pachman's PDA beeped vibrated in his pocket. It was a specially adapted, secure line, so that the Kazakhstanian forces could not intercept his messages. He hoped.

He read the message, and hsi heart skipped a beat. An arms fair just for his nation, it seemed. This could be interesting.

"Dmitry! Get the '41 wound up, we're going to Red Tide2." he yelled, referrign to the F/A-41 fighter he flew in. He ahd specially adapted cargo pods under the wings, for arms transfers and the like.

He strode to his flight suit, popped it on, and made his way to the fighter. He then replied, asking if he could ride his fighter there, instead.

"So, some BMteers are selling new stuff, may be interesting, sir."
"Yes it is, now who should we send."
"Viper, Hellcat and Blackmark are out, so that leaves Wolf, and Loki."
"Send Loki."
"Yes sir."

The Director of Foreign Affairs, leaned back in his seat as the ops chief left.
This would be interesting.

The terrorist received his orders as well as the papers and caught the first flight to Red Tide, while booking a car over the phone.

ooc: Loki is both a goverment agent and a terrorist.

Sitting on a cruiser in the middle of the ocean didn't drawl much excitment during peacetimes. Unless you were in the intelligence department.

The communication that had just came across had been intercepted with relative ease, decoded, and the RMV Chelsea had a Seahawk helicopter on the pad going through preflight.

The mission was simple. Fly in, set up a base away from the area, and then send in one officer to check the area. If need be, he could blend in as an arms dealer and enter the compound.

OOC:Okay... so from my count we have one Terrorist, 2 intellegince operatives. Okay, I hope more people join.

IC: The Northeast part of Red Tide was cold and mountanious. The Gate gaurds to Black Market Mountain preferred to stay inside their gate huts. Playing cards, reading books. Becuase they stayed inside they kept the gate locked... unless someone drove up(or walked) up.

The response to Pachman's message came quickly.

Faerl Street drove down the road, looking at a map he'd purchased at a airport store, to find the co-ordinates. He pulled up to the gate and rolled down the window as he waited for some to come over. He also got the letter sent out.

The Gaurd took the copy, nodded and said, "Alright, The main event will begin in 3 hours. You can use that time to browse items. Watch out for Icy patches on the road." Then he walked over to the gate and opened it.

Anybody who had ever been to Black Market Mountain knew that the gaurds(who were actually Red Tide Mafia Thugs)usually carried AK-47s. But now every gaurd had M4A1 Assualt Rifles... an modern American gun!

The first room was a rest area, with a map of the compound.

The Room to the right led to the cafeteria. The room up ahead was the main audotorium but was closed for the next 3 hours(when the main event would happen). The room to the left was the Handheld Weapons Market and the Shooting Range, the room behind the handheld Weapons Market and Shooting Range was the Vehicle Market, where tanks, artillery, and other vehicles were sold. Next to the Vehicle Market was the Missile and Mass Destruction Market. This room contained the most expensive items in the building, it held Ballistic and Cruise Missiles, as well as specially preserved chemical and biological Agents.

Johnny Nakamura was an enterprising J-Mod ganger. Like many J-Mods, he was a well dressed man in a mohair suit, with British and Japanese flag symbols on his jacket. He had a trenchcoat, a wad of cash, and a sense of style and arrogance about him that made him unique.

Unlike many Mods, he specialized in selling guns. He wanted to staisfy the hunger of many Xenizens for a firearm, without the permits, or the taxes. The permits were easy, just take a 16-hr safety course and pass a test. The taxes and licensing fees were the killer part. That's where he came in.

He had heard the message from the Red Tide Mafia. He called in his very lovely assistant, Fujiko, and told her, "Blimp, 'oney, i've a job fe yew. ay need yew ter bowl ter redtide2, and pick up some guns fe me. be mint now, 'ere's some spend'n rips...."

He gave her a wad of bills, some $15,000 USD, and said, "'uv fun."

Fujiko winked, and said to Johnny, "relax darl'n, it'll be or'rite......i'll get de job done, eh?"

Johnny smiled, and nodded.

fujiko then left with a copy of the note, and boarded a plane to Redtide2. There, she rented a car, and proceeded to the coordinates...

He wound his window down and gave the guard a good look at the screen of his PDA, bearing the invitation.
"I'm Jothias Sangus, here for the convention. Representing the AMC."
The guard sent him through and he pulled into the parking lot. Jothias opened the trunk and brought out two large metal suitcases and set them down beside him. He set his car alarm (though the term 'armed' would be more appropriate) and headed towards the main building. He was surprised he wasnt searched on his way in, but an arms convention needs guns, right?

The sound of guns being shot echoed all around the handheld weaponry area, every-so-often acompanied with a whoosh followed by a explosion as someone tested out a Rocket Launcher or Guided Anti-Tank Missile Launcher.

The selection was wide, ranging from standard 9mm pistols that every god-damn military, police, and special agent force on the planet used, to Russian, European, and American Assualt Rifles(mostly M4s, G-36s, and AKS-74s), to Anti-Tank Rocket Launchers and Guided Missiles(both anti-aircraft and Anti-tank). All the prices were listed right next to the gun, both in American Dollars and Red Tidean Rubles.

Around midnight that same night, two black limosines guarded by four black Kawasaki CrotchRocket motorcycles pulled up to the front gate. The guard knocked on one of the tinted windows on the lead car. Two of the motorcyclists whipped out Skorpion submachine guns and took aim. The window of the car rolled down, revealing a small old asian man in a black business suit. He waved at the cyclists, still wearing their helmets and black jumpsuits. The men lowered their weapons. The asian man turned to the guard. "Mistah Sakata requests an audience with Mistah Ivonov immediately. The Hogosha have a desire to take part in operations in this area, and I believe Ivonov will be willing. Please, let us through." The guard studies the man and his guards for a moment, suddenly realizing that there could be thugs in this car and the other behind it. "Okay, go on through. I'll open the gates for ya." The guard waves the car forward. The asian man rolls his window up, hiding himself. The men on the 'cycles move the bikes forward as well. The guard hustles inside and opens the gate. The six vehicles move silently through into the compund.

Josef Pastery recieves a video conference from one of his top agents.

Agent:We have word that Red Tide2 is the host to an illegal arms market.

Pastery:Really? this might be interesting. We need weapons, but our nation is short on spending money.

Agent: Don't forget, you are trying to get into the UN...they wouldn't like this.

Pastery:We must find a way to get guns, yet, come out looking like the good guys...

Agent: Crash the market

Pastery:excellent idea, but our army is rather small, and the only way up the large mountains of Red Tide2 besides foot is by plane. Our airforce is in the works...But we do have a few planes.

Agent: My suggestion is to get intell on this situation before doing anything, we would not want to be on bad terms with Red Tide2.

Pastery: Very well, in fact...we must make friends with Red Tide2...once inside we find out all we can. Actually, maybe Red Tide2 can make a good allie...they have weapons and such...

OOC;A few tidbits, the Red Tide Goverment has NOTHING to do with this, it is the Red Tide MAFIA that is running the show. The Red Tide Mafia leader(known only as The Boss(and his top 5 men known as the 'Circle of Five') are the ones you want to contact. However, The Bosses and the Circle of Fives locations are unknown to anyone except them and the people gaurding them.

As Faerl tested the weapons, he made notes on a pad, the writing indeciferable to anyone save himself. Once he's gone throught the fireams, he heads into the vehicle room.

He stood on the Firing Plate and delved into the inside of his jacket, both hands emerging holding a .50AE Handgun. He spent a while putting holes in cardboard, then went to check out the bigger weapons.
Cradling a Swiss SG-552 he opened fire on the range and gave the gun back to the seller. He payed him for the magazine he used, and walked towards the rifles section. The store owner looked at the thirty swaying targets in amazement, as each had a hole in the middle of the head.
Red Tide2
31-05-2005, 21:55
Most of the vehicles in the vehicle room were Russian, with a few exceptions. The Vehicle room was actually divided up into 'sections'. There was the tank section, that sold mostly T-90s, but there were a few Leopard 2A6 tanks there. Then there was the APC Section, mostly BMP-2s, but there were a few Bradley IFVs. Then came the truck section, which contained, unsurprisingly, militaryn trucks. There was the helicopter section, on display was a Mi-28 HAVOC Attack Helicopter and a Mi-26 HALO Transport Helicopter. Finally there was the airplane section, here the only things that were on display were F4 Phantom IIIs and MiG-21s. The rest were civilian cars, of which there was a good selection.

The arms dealer stared at the holes, mouth agape. Absolutely amazed, he simply thought, "Who the hell is that guy?"

Red Tide2
31-05-2005, 22:03
"Well..." The dealer said"I dont really know the specifics, but the purchaser makes the order here and then we deliver it to him via freighters that we privately own, the buyer usually deposits the money in a temporary swiss bank account, which we then withdraw into a permanent Red Tidean one. The vehicles you see here are not taken home, they are the real thing, yes, but thats just so the buyers know the specifics of what their purchasing."

"Thank you for the info." Street replied as he headed into the WMD room.
Red Tide2
31-05-2005, 22:14
It was in the WMD room that everything reverted back to Cold War-era weaponry. The WMD room was divided into 'Missile' and 'Bio-Hazard' Sections. The missile section had displays of SCUD-A and FROG-7 Ballistic Missiles. There were also SA-2 and SA-6 Surface-Air Missiles(the kind mounted on vehicle launchers). The 'Bio-Hazard' Section had really strict security. It was seperated from the rest of the building by a airlock where people showered in disinfectant and put on HAZMAT suites. Then they entered the main hall. The Hall had seperate rooms which contained the transparent canisters that held the viruses, bacteria, and gases. The windows were bulletproof, Shatterproof, etc.. The Containers themselves were built to withstand massive temperature and pressure extremes. As for the bio and chemical agents themselves, they had VX Nerve Gas, Mustard Gas, Chlorine Gas, Ebola(the Airborne Strain), Anthrax, and more.

Jothias reassembled the AS50 and put it back on the rack, heading back to the handguns to buy some ammunition for himself. He bought four magazines of Action Express and loaded up.
Something caught his eye, at the other end of the market. It was an SDASS tactical shotgun. He had looked everywhere for something like this a few months ago, but now the gap had been filled by his Benelli Nova.
He walked back to the main entrance where he had left his suitcases, and looked for a place to set up shop.

He found a quiet area and sat down. Opening the first suitcase revealed his cargo, What appeared to be 40-something blocks of C4 was actually a cardboard cover, and hidden beneath was something far more valuable. It was a solid gold S&W 686 with 6 rounds of ammunition pre-loaded. He set it out carefully as to show as much of it as possible and arranged the bullets around the gun. It was one of its kind, used in action by the greatest Concremian Gang-Lord, known only as Nasc. He still ruled from his guarded stronghold, but was getting to old to weild it himself. Nasc had personally presented it to the Leader of the AMC, who was killed in a shootout later that week. Very few knew how Jothias came to be in possession of it, and most of them valued their life enough to pretend they knew nothing.

In the other suitcase lay his stuff, an assortment of small arms that he arranged for sale, a large canvas that he draped over the desk, and his Benelli Nova that he held under the table with one hand. Also, there were various types of rare and illegal ammunition and two Bofors AK5Ds.

31-05-2005, 22:38
The new stall quickly attracted the new buyers. A man, obviously a Mafia man who kept on the lookout for non-Red Tidean Mafia stalls walked up. He looked at the S&W 686 before saying in English with a Russian Accent. "I have never seen a gun like this. How much is it?"

As the man walked away, a anouncement came over the loudspeaker, "The Main Event will be taking place in 15 minutes. The Audotorium is now open for seating"

The Audotorium was a purely massive room. It consisted completely of the front doors, several isles, rows upon rows of chairs, and a stage with a backddor in the back. On the stage were two large boxes. The one on the right had word BIO-HAZARD written on it, the left one had what appeared to be a empty circle, with blots of increasingly smaller circles coming out of it in a clockwise rotation. In the upper right hand corner of the left one were the words, 'Property of Tech-Com Corporation' except the words 'Tech-Com Corporation' had been scribbled on to the point where you could barely read it.

Red Tide2
31-05-2005, 23:37
15 minutes later the audotorium had filled up. The doors swung shut. The Backdoor opened and Ivonov entered the onto the stage.

"I pray that you have all enjoyed the browsing so far? Yes? Well now the main event. We have two devices to show you. First up, lets start with this crate on the left."

Ivonov motioned to the two thugs who had entered the room. They walked up to the crate and pulled it down. The sides came off with a loud bang to reveal... a bluish rectangle on its side. Ivonov walked up to it and put his hand on the side facing the audience. There was a small blue light as the secret hand scanner did its job. After it was complete, Ivonov took his hand off and a secret panel turned around revealing a keyboard and computer screen built into it.

Ivonov turned back to the crowd and said, "This is the 'Octopus'. A missile guidance system so advanced that even the worlds Superpowers have not gotten their hands on it." He held up a micro chip, "What you do is put this micro-chip inside a ballistic or cruise missile. This micro chip will send and receive messages from the main 'Octopus' console behind me. The Chip will send weather, height, and other important information to the main console which will process the information and tell the chip how to adjust the missile. This will make even the most inaccurate ballistic and cruise missiles hit their target only missing by mere single digit feet. For comparison the Tomahawk Cruise Missile hits its target with 10 meters... at the most accurate that is. Now... any questions?"

Red Tide2
01-06-2005, 03:31
"I am sorry, but the first part of your question will have to remain unanswered. All I am allowed to say is that we are VERY resourceful if you know what I mean. As for the second part, We cannot answer do not have a timetable for when we will enter full scale production. We only have this module and the chipos that came with it, we have the blueprints, but the materials required will need to be accesed first. For the final part, Nuclear Missile is a very vague term. Any Cruise or Ballistic missile can be outfitted with a nuclear warhead. So yes, it can guide nuclear weaponry more accurately. Any more questions?"
Concremo
01-06-2005, 09:18
"Surely, with a WMD, as they are currently accurate to around 10 feet, as you said, that is more than accuracte enough for something with such a blast radius? And the chip would be too expensive to mass produce for smaller weapons?"
Red Tide2
01-06-2005, 13:06
"Well... I said a Tomahawk Cruise Missile has a accuracy of 10 meters, a ICBM has an accuracy of at least 100 meters. But yes, what youn say is true., We cannot mass produce. We are hoping to auction 'Octopus' off at this arms fair."

"Well then, if there are no more questions. We will be moving on to the next device."

Ivonov motioned for the thugs to open the crate with the words BIO-HAZARD written on it. The crates sides fell open to reveal... a transparent canister filled with what appeared to be mustard gas.

"This may look like mustard gas. But infact it is something far more lethal, far more deadly. It is called Zhoforium-G. It was a material recently discovered in this sector of Red Tide, when put through a micro-grinder, that is a grinder that grinds things down to microscopic sizes, it condenses into a gas cloud with acidic like properties. So acidic that it can eat through the skin of a average sized human in a matter of minutes. HAZMAT suits offer no protection. Its even worse when breathed in. Any questions?"

By the time they got the F/A-41 started, the fair had started aswell. The fighter ws good and modern, but the little maintenance provided by the Provincial engineers meant this happened regularly.

He climbed into the cockpit, made his way out onto the mountain ruwnay adn took off, sweeping through Kazakh air defenses like a knife through butter. One of these days he would not be so lucky.

Soon afterwards, the arrived in Red Tide airspace, and asked for clearance, before decending very low to attempt to get past some air defense systems that were shown on his radar screen. The arms show was just ahead, adn he radioded in for landing.
Red Tide2
01-06-2005, 14:20
"This is not like 'Octopus'. We do have more then one canister, alot more actually, and the capablility to produce more of this weapon. Therefore the price is fixed at 2 million USD. Zhoforium-G is now avaible for sale in the Missile and WMD section of the arms fair. We will be holding a demonstration of it in 30 minutes. Those who wish to view are advised to report to the Demonstration facility by then. It is located farther up the road. The auction for 'Octopus' will be held at the Demonstration Facility in one hour. The starting price will be 50 million. I hope you continue to enjoy our little arms fair."

And with that, Ivonov turned away and walked through the door he just came through. The Mafia Thugs boxed up 'Octopus' and the gas canister and brought in a forklift to take them away(CAREFULLY).

The Kazakh Provinces Representative(OOC:I need a name), was cleared past Red Tide Air Defense Command and cleared for landing on a small airstrip near the arms fair building. He was given a warning about ice however.

Shuman came in to land as slowly as possible. He had heard there was ice. Just over the beginning of the runway, he touched down, and instantly felt the plane begin to slide. He brought it to a halt, however, and taxied to the nearest parking space.

He hopped out, and made his way to the display.

*Several presentations later*

He was very interested in some of the small arms displays, and decided he would have a go at some of the assault of sniper rifles later. For now though, he was looking at the Leopard Tanks and SA-6 missile launchers. They could be useful.

"How much are the SA-6 launchers? And how would I get themt o my country?" asked Shuman.

The dealer for the tanks section said, "The Leopards are one of our more rarer items, they will cost 7 million each and we have about 230 of them."

Just Outside The Camp...

It had been an extremely long trip to this godforsaken area, thought Colonel Hans Briggs as he trudged towards the perimeter fence of the base that was supposed to have an arms sale in it. First a ten-hour plane ride to a deserted military airbase...then a helicopter trip to an Aircraft Carrier near the Nerotikan Coastline...then finally another helicopter trip to RedTide2 aurspace and a landing a few hundred metres away from where he was now, in biting cold weather.

Not that he would be complaining normally. He was a veteran of Republican Special Operations, and had survived in worse places than this...far, far worse places. Normally he wouldn't really mind, except for the company that he was keeping. Briggs turned his head to look at the pathetic figure trailing behind him a dozen metres away.

Whereas Briggs was a good six feet tall, with a slim build, close-cropped black hair and was well-excercised, the figure behind him...well, wasn't. That was the easiest way to put it. The man, Jeremiah Hunter III, was short, stout, with greasy black hair that was slowly freezing, an idiotic goatee on his face to go with the hair, and constantly moaned. Whinged, to be precise. He may have been the top representative for the Republican Incorporated Services, and was not a salesman, so had no right to be here, he had informed Briggs every two minutes in a vain attempt to bolster his image. This had continued until Briggs had moved closer to him on the helicopter and informed Hunter that unless he shut the hell up, there would be an unfortunate accident involving the open door and Hunters body. He had promptly shut up, but not before glaring icily at Briggs.

Briggs turned back, pulled up the skimask he was wearing, and coughed. He turned to one of the black-clad guards toting a modern assault rifle, and produced a laminated piece of paper with a reference on it that the RIS had recieved several days ago, forcing Briggs to babysit this...man...to the arms fair to purchase certain items. He handed the paper over, and carefully made sure his P-90 SMG was still on a shoulder-strap, ready to use despite the bulky winter gear he had on. Behind him, Hunter had seen the guards and was attempting to talk oen into taking a catalogue from the RIS...

the ATV's door opened and two security guards in thick coats stepped out. Hired guns, Central Asians by their features: a Kazakh may recognise them as Pashtun. After them, a middle-aged European carrying a case and medical equipment clears way for an IV stand.

"Miss, I suggest you wear the respirator. You're not used to this type of climate and --"

"Spare me, doc. Let's get this over with".

Wasting no time, the man helps a curiously dressed woman step outside. Under a typical fur-collared coat, she wears a gray reinforced bodysuit that completely fails to disguise her offworld physique. She's nearly two metres tall, with long, lanky limbs that clearly couldn't keep her upright without help from the powered suit. Her skin is evenly pale, the shade accented by her short black hair.

"Looks like we've come to the right place. Tell these boys not to get into any trouble, I'm going shopping."

"Attention, all shoppers, the demonstration of Zhoforium-G will begin in a minutes. Please go further up the road from the main building to reach the demonstration building. Thank you."

Briggs looked up at one of the loudspeakers and raised his eyes. Yet another weapons demonstration. He had seen 'Octupus' displayed with professional interest, and had of course taken a few details, but it seemed to be of no immediate threat to the Republic. There was only one of the chips available, and apparently no way to mass-produce them, so it was literally a one-shot weapon.
Unfortunately for him, it seemed that RIS wanted the chip, and had authorised Hunter to bid for it; apparently had an unlimited chequebook for buying things. Even now he was strolling towards the building demonstrating the Zhoforium-G gas. Briggs yawned and sipped from a cup of coffe he had taken from a thermos he was carrying, and looked around at the various stalls. Never had he seen such a collection of weapons and their owners, scum of the earth they were.
He also had a little personal business here. He was looking for weapons to suit the Republican Special Forces, mainly small-arms and explosive devices. And of course, his own private weapons as well. He wished there was a directory or map so he could find what he was looking for, but of course this was a Arms Market, not a supermarket...

In the Weapons Room, the asian man looked at the tables before him. "Sekuda," he whispered to an armored thug, "Bring me the man in charge of the room. We have need to exchange goods." "Yes sir, mister Nakamuro." Anyone who had heard the exchange could not understand it, as it was spoken in the Sendii dialect of northern Kyotosia. A few minutes later, Sekudo came back. "Sir, we could not locate the man in charge. We did find this fellow, and he seems to command some respect around here. Follow me." Nakamuro followed Sekudo to a spot near the center of the chamber where a man stood on a raised dais and was surrounded by armed men. "Sah," said Nakamuro. "I have something to discuss with you. It is quite urgent, and requires your immediate attention." "Yeah, sure. Just a sec. Hey, Vladimir! Yeah, you, dipshit! Get over here and cover for me a minute." "Fine, whatever." A haggard man with a beard and a flannel coat slumped up to the dais. His eyes were bloodshot, and his demeanor suggested he had something better to do. "I need to talk with this gentleman. Just do my job 'til I get back, aright? Good, glad ya understand." The man then jumped off the dais and faced Nakamuro. "So, who are ya and whaddaya need? We got everything here, from brass knuckles to RPG launchers. So? My name is Peters, Klaus Peters." "Shinji Nakamuro is the name. Please, this must be discussed in private." The two, followed by Sekudo, entered a small office at the back of the chamber. At a conference table in the room, under a single light, Nakamuro motioned to Sekudo to open a suitcase he had mounted on his back. Inside the black steel case, a strange gun with wide bore multiple tubes and conduits lay on padding. "This is the Screaming Cell Cannon, stolen by one of our operatives from the Kishiro Technologies Central Laboratory in Kyona. It fires a small, spherical projectile that has a life of it's own. It is extremely volatile, and the small projectile, the Screaming Cell, emits a screeching noise when fired and latches onto a target, following it until it is dead. It sucks out their life force. The thing will not attack the holder of the weapon of similar weapons, and we have begun mass production of the weapon for use in the Kyotosian underworld at our Ona Regional Base. I wish to secure a few...foreign clients, and I believe that many warriors from Freedom fighters and terrorists will be interested. I leave the weapon in your capable hands, and hope you will find us some business partners. We have much more than just weapons, we are just starting with this." "Well, mister Nakamuro, you have yourself one helluva deal. I'll find someone to sell this to, and get you some people to deal with. Thanks for your business." "No, mistah Petahs, the pleasure is ouahs. Please, let us return." With that, the deal was done and the parties left the conference room.

IC: Ivonov stood in the demostration room surrounded by the terrorists, mercenaries, and other elements who wanted this weapon. There was a viewing glass built to withstand acidic elements, inside the attached room there was except a Airlock. The airlock swung open and a Thug escorted two men at gunpoint in. One obviously was a bum and the other... was in a HAZMAT Suit. The Thug left the two men there, closing the airlock behind them. Then Ivonov pressed a button on the control panel infront of him.

The hydropumps overhead began to pump in the mustard looking gas... ALOT of it. The man in the HAZMAT suit stood stock still, but the bum began to thrash about as the acidic material began to eat away at his skin. In 15 seconds his epidermis was gone, 30 seconds in parts of his inner layer of skin were pnetrated and he began to bleed profusely, 60 seconds in and the man was dead. By then the Acidic gas had eaten a hole in the other ones HAZMAT suit, and he began to thrash about. Within the same amount of time as the first man he was dead. Within several minutes all that was left of both men were their skeletons.

Ivonov pressed a button and Anti-Chemicals began to spray into the room. The Mustard like gas disapated. Ivonov turned to the other spectators and smiled. "So? How did you like it?"

Through the scope he easily picked out and blew chunks out of the ten tin cans he had placed at the far end of the range. His tuning was finished, now time for a real challenge. He took the scope zoom down to 1 and got the same results. Battlefield conditions... he thought, so he threw a single smoke grenade to the end of the range and waited for the cloud to rise. He cued the twenty paper targets and set about putting holes in them. Aiming not only for the killzone but for the tiny manufacturers logo in the middle of the chest, Jothias was confident of the rifles competence.

He set his SA50 down beside him and took out both of his .50AE hanguns. Jothias attactched a silencer specially made for such a high caliber and switched the ammunition for subsonic rounds. The result was heavily surpressed firing, completely unhearable beyond 40 metres. The extended barrel of the silencer compensated for the lighter ammunition, and so accuracy remained finely honed and as deadly as ever.

An asian man in his mid-to-late thirties was very interested in these weapons, but promptly left him alone when Jothias pointed out that they were custom jobs and absolutely not for sale.

Fujiko proceeded to fire the AK5D at the tin cans at the end of the range. She liked the way the gun handled. It had a greenish shimmer in the light she loved, and the recoil wasn't too bad.

The Combi-Rifle gave her the same performance, only it was lighter, and its was more stylish. She liked both guns; she walked to Jothias and coughed politely to get his attention.

"You done already?" he asked, reloading both handguns with frightening speed and slipping them into his jacket.
"So what will it be? The AK5D has its advantages in short distances, but the Combi-Rifle is good for almost any situation, and the sniper mode makes it deadly over medium and long ranges. Its in use by most of the AMC as standard issue now, and we haven't looked back. Do you want just the one, or more for your friends?"

A voice rings out over the loudspeakers. "Attention please. The Hogosha will be beginning the demonstration of the Screaming Cell Cannon in warehouse 17b. If you are interested, please report to warehouse 17b. I repeat, 17b. Thank you." As a small group of people filed into the warehouse, Nakamuro and the two young arms dealers stood beside a small demonstration booth. With them, off to the sides, invisible unless you were looking for them, were two men with Skorpions in black body armor. Nakamuro motioned with his hand. One of the guards walked off stage to a large box. He levered it open and extracted it's contents.
"Quiet, please. Quiet!" yelled Nakamuro. The crowd settled down some. "If you please, I need a volunteer from the crowd. Anyone at all." A tan man in a robe came forward. "I am Achmed el-Cida dar Sann," the man said with an Arabic accent. "I will test this weapon. Where is it?" Nakamuro motioned to one of his young arms dealers. The man held a suitcase forward. El-Cida opened it and took out the weapon. "Not very impressive. Looks...gangly and awkward. A fun-gun, perhaps?" "I see you are not swayed. Well, why not fire it, then?" asked Nakamuro. "Splendid idea. I will just-" "Not here, fool! It uses highly volatile ammunition. Come to the range."
The two walked to the target range that was set up. It was a long, clear plastic chamber with no target in it. Nakamuro again motioned to his guard, who walked into the chamber, holding a man in hand cuffs. "Take aim inside the range and fire at will!" said Nakamuro. El-Cida aimed at the prisoner and pulled the trigger. Out of the muzzle, a green ball surrounded by a wreath of glowing steam emerged. A screeching noise followed the ejection, and the ball immediately moved down the court towards the captive. The audience watched with fascination as the prisoner turned and ran from the approaching ball. As it got closer, the mist glowed brighter and the prisoner seemed to get more and more tired. He fell to the floor and, with a final scream, passed on. The ball, not having a target, wandered the tube for about 10 seconds more before darkening and falling into a steaming heap on the floor. The audience was silent. El-Cida exhibitted all the signs of having gone into shock. All at once, the crowd began to clap. Louder. Louder. El-Cida turned to Nakamuro and shook his hand. "Whats more, the cell can go after more than one target at a time."said Nakamuro. "Taking bids now."
After the show, Nakamuro and his staff closed the suitcases of bids and orders and walked out the door into the brisk early-morning air. "Time we went home, boys. Did you get the required order from a dealer?" "Yes, mister Nakamuro. 400 SITES Spectre II machine pistols and 150 Vektor assault rifles. As a bonus, the dealer added a batch of fifty unused anti-materiel cannon. We did well." said one of the men. "Indeed. Well, see you at the airport." said Nakamuro as he climbed into his black sedan. The guards mounted their motorcycles. The others got into the second black sedan. The convoy rolled silently out of the compound, into the darkness.

Jothias didnt move a muscle, but was laughing his head off on the inside. That's the best they can come up with!? he thought, and lowered his guns. They would be dealt with swiftly and decisively by one of the most proffessional crime syndicates in the world.

He made his way to the small arms section, when a muffled explosion shook the building. Funny, he thought, thats exactly what sound you get when you put four blocks of C4 in a Concremian J-Type. Shit.

Jothias ran out to the parking lot and looked at the wreckage of his car. The body of the wannabe car-thief was in a funny angle against the wall. "Motherfucker!" he yelled, and sat on the concrete. No need to inspect the damage, there was not much left to inspect. He grabbed a near by fire-extinguisher and started emptying it, and then it struck him. The extinguisher clanged to the ground as he ran to the trunk, prying the twisted metal back with his bare hands. He picked up the ornate wooden box and opened it, checking the contents were safe. Content, he sat back and stared into space.

Hearing the auction place, Ivonov goes, "250 million! Going once!"

He had been to Upper Xen several times, under many aliases and many jobs. Although he had never encountered the J-Mods, their reputation was as persistent as it was fierce. He got thinking about how dull it really was in the AMC, with too many politics and only real action in war. And when you were finally involved in something it was sneak tactics, guerillia warfare and scrounging weapons and supplies off rebels and terrorists. Jothias remembered the time when politics were a good thing, everyone had enemies and a lot of money to spend. But now the police force was tighter than ever and getting in and out of the country was a hassle.

He was decided. As soon as he was back in Concremo he would resign from the Alphaeron Mercenary Corps and go join the Triad. The only crime syndicate worth mentioning, the Blue Mantis Triad controlled Concremos illegal weapons import and export to the bullet. Unlike others organised crime operations, they were not big on anything but weapons, hits and heists. A few weeks ago in the north, a Mafia sprung up from no-where and cut off the Triads supply to the area of weapons and money to buy weapons. The city was on the verge of open gang warfare, until two days later the top four people in the Mafia were found dead. Dead is probably an understatement, as they had been ambushed in their own home by two Triad assassins armed with submachine guns. Twenty bodyguards were cut down in seconds, before the higher-ups were put in the back of a van and taken away. Bodies were found a week later, minus their heads, in public view inside the Mafia territory. They fell apart from there, and were soon assimilated into the Triad.

"James, you know why your here?"
"Absolutely."
"You've been breifed?"
"Go to the black arms trade, make contact with the Porten contact, get as much information out of him. Disturb nobody else, deniable op, I f**k up, you guys abondon me?"
"Correct. You'll find all unmarked gear waiting, pick up some Civvies, and head over there. Remember, other than to speak to this guy, your just there as your cover, a weaponsmith, don't piss anybody about."
"Sir."
The well built soldier left the room, a seargeant from 101 Regiment, one of the most renouned regiment of the former Kazaakisthan government, he knew this op meant a hell of a lot to the stability of the new country.

Entering the warehouse he picked out his red-marked crate quickly and sorted through everything. Removing a tool kit, spare parts, upgrades and additions he then unpacked two HK Mk23 SOCOM handguns, noting carefully that the serial numbers where both from different countries.

4 Hours later and his helicopter touched down in Red Tide2, he sailed through the gate business like, and managed to set up his weapon-upgrade and repairs stall in a record time. Now, began the waiting game.

He thought about his situation carefully, and decided that his first course of action when in Upper Xen would be to find accomodation, and then an arms dealer for some weapons. He would definately need a good one to have another set of custom handguns made, but with the J-Mods on his side it should be a cakewalk. Jothias needed some light weapons; like handguns, a good general purpose; as in some kind of SMG, he would definately need a shotgun; a benelli nova if possible and he would also look out for an assault rifle incase things got serious.

Fujiko then drove to the airport, where she ditched the Rover, got her stuff, and proceeded to the Xenizen National Airways counter.

When asked by the lady, she said, "1 One way ticket to Upper Xen."

After some wrangling, the ticket was purchased. She presented a fake ID that, sure enough, ID'ed her as a dentist. That provided a good cover to explain the weight of the suitcase as it was sent through the luggage scanner. When she got funny looks, she simply shot back: "I'm a dentist, these are my tools. Any problems?" and even presented some Xenizen NHC licenses and papers certifying her as such.

Of course, her only dentistry experience was ripping teeth out during interrogations. But nobody knew that.

The luggage, and Fujiko were soon on the plane, and back to Upper Xen as quickly as possible.
