[Secret IC... Kinda]

Where do Monsters come from? It's the question that has plagued children since the dawn of time.

Well, while President Rufus himself couldn't anwser where ALL monsters came from, he did know where a certain set of monsters came from: The labs at the Terkomai Arms Corporation, care of the Biological Weapons Research and Development Division.

The laboratory itself was situated just outside Fort Krowemoh. President Rufus could only reflect on why the research lab was placed so close to the biggest Army Garrison on Gnufasur.

"This way, if you will, Mr. President." Said the scientist, leading Rufus Mew down a corridor and through several heavy security doors. They came to an observation room, a slanted viewscreen showing the room below. At the moment, however, heavy steel shutters blocked the view of the room.

"Mr. President, we at Terkomai Arms Corp have long since provided standard weapons to the Armed Forces. Everything from rifles and bombs, to tanks and artillery pieces. Buyt, now, we hope to provide the Armed Forces a whole new service. Biological Weapons."

President Rufus raised an eyebrow. "You're joking. Biological weapons are banned by the UN."

The scientist smirked and shook his head. "They mean Chemical weapons, and weapons that use germs and such non-sense. These..." He removes a remmmote crontroll fron a front pocket on his white lab coat, and thumbs the only button on it. The shutters swivaled fully open, to reveal the room below. "... Are the types of weapons we are speaking of. Fully independent, highly mobile and highly vicious."

Rufus turned his head to gaze into the room. What he saw was a set of three... Creatures. They were armored, and appeared vaguely dog-like, standing on all fours. Except, they didn't have tails. Their heads and all along their backs were armored with a golden toned metal, with athe same type and color of armor on the hindlegs. At first, he thought the blue on their body was fur, but upon a second glance, he noticed it was a suit of some sort.

Then it hit him... These weren't dogs. "Good Goddess! Are those...?"

"Nekos? No. Humans? Formerly, yes. Not from Gnufasur, of course. The name we've been kicking around the offices for them is Dogs of War. Former, jobless homeless human bums from various nations around the world. Our work has turned them into mindless disposable killing machines. Plus, being the lowest of the low, no one will miss these humans."

"Hmmm. Are they controllable?"

"Highly. Using a variant of the Krowemohian Realian Control devices, these Dogs of War can be either given a set of objectives and tasks to complete, or be manually controlled via remote."

"Can the process be reversed?"

"No. Once the Control device is installed into their brains, and the Battle Frame attached to their bodies, they cannot be removed."

"I see... How many?"

"Twnety ready for immediate service, with another thirty in the middle of the process. If you approve this, there are a number of... Discreet suppliers who will provide us with over one hundred subjects a month for a very small handling fee."

"I am assuming this isn't all?"

"Of course not. If you'll follow me into the Secured Display Room..." The scientist spoke, moving to a far door, sliding his card through the reader, and then placing his hand on the palm scanner that extended from the wall. The door beeped, then opened.

Rufus followed the white lab coated man into this next room. A series of large stasis tubes lined the walls and made a row down the center of the large hall. Rufus counted a total of sixty tubes, each containing what could only be described as Abominations of Science. Creatures, all teeth and flesh and claws, no two exactly alike. "What are these things?" He asked.

"We call them Biological Frontline Morale Destroyers. Breed in these vary labs, these Biological Weapons are as bad tempered as they are hard to kill. Their flesh may appear weak, but they are very resistant to bullets, fire, cutting and blungoning. Of the ones we tested, the only sure fire way to kill them is with either Magic, or large doses of Gamma radiation."

"You said bad tempered?" Rufus quoted him, one slim eyebrow raised.

"Yes. We found that they will attack and try to kill anything they see, with the exception of each other. We are searching for a means to control them, or at the very least find out how they distingish each other from us and alter it so they see us as one of them as well, but until then, if these are used in any wartime operation, we suggest deploying them first deep into enemy lines, then once the enemy is completely destroyed, come in and retrieve them with the weapons our Nuclear Weapons Division will supply."

Rufus frowns. "This is a lot to take in. I will need time to reflect and think about this before I approve anything. Have all the research papers concerning the Dogs of War and these... Things, forwarded to my office, as well as the information for your so called 'Discreet Suppliers.' I will wish to speak them myself."

The scientists nods. "Very well, Mr. President. Allow me to show you to the door..."

((OOC: Whee! Let's hear it for monsters! If anyone wants to RP any one of the four groups discreeting supplying Terkomai Arms Corp with humans, please feel free to send me a TG with the revelant info, and we'll work out a short RP, or what have you.
This has been another 'Cover My Arse Thread,' brought to you by Corinna Diamond! Buh bai for now!
EDITED: Evened out the BFMDs(Biological Frontline Morale Destroyers). ))

OOC:Any use of the 'impervious to bullets, fire, cutting, and blugeoning' usually gets you an ignore. Which it will if you attempt to use them against my army. Also, the idea as creatures being weapons has been used on NS before(mainly in FT nations, but a few MT nations have taken up genetic engineering). Finally, nice RP skills you got there.

With a few edits, I would like the Red Tide Mafia to become the 'discreet supplier'.

((OOC: You make it sound as if I claimed I was the first person to come up with that idea. I know I'm not, and I made no claim as such. Second... Well, why would we go to war against the Red Tide? Gnufasur is isolationist by nature, so the only way we'll go to war is if you tried to invade/attack us, or what have you. Which, I wouldn't see happening anytime soon, but if you did invade or what have you and if I used the creatures in defense of my nation, it'd be rather rude (Not to mention childish) to shout "OMG! You're using a weapon in defense of your nation that I don't like, so I'm going to completely ignore it!"
But, yes, what you said does make sense. I'll edit the information from impervious to resisant in a few seconds, mmkay?))

OOC:Kay... Are you up for the idea of using the Red Tide Mafia as one of those 'discreet' suppliers?

((OOC: Sure. Just, send a TG to me, listing what the price your Mafia would charge per 'batch' of humans, who is the contact person, and etc.

Also, be aware that while Terkomai Arms Corp does specify that the humans are used for 'experiments,' no other detail is given. So, it's highly unlikely that the suppliers know that the humans they bring are being turned into 'Dogs of War.' Also, the shipments are very small. 20-25 humans per 'batch,' with a maximum of 30. Again, while the scientists do specify that they want bums, vargents, etc, they'll take ANYONE (**HINT*HINT**) you bring them. All these rules apply who everyone who wants to be a Discreet Supplier.))

No sooner then the President left then did the Terkomai Arms Corporation scientists began work on developing a means to control the BFMDs.

A Battle Frame is sugegsted... "Just like on the Dogs of War. A Battle Frame would restrict their movements to just what we'll allow. Perhaps a Control Device in the... Brain, as well. That has worked for the humans, no reason it shouldn't work for the BFMDs." One research specialist suggested in the midst of a late night research cram session, his hair and the fur on his ears and tail fritzy from lack of attention.

"Perhaps. But, due to the unusual body shapes and poprations of the majority of the cretures, each would have to be individually fitted for a Battle Frame. That would cost time, money, and manpower, all of which the CEOs are simply not going to be thrilled to spare." Another, older specialist countered.

The oter three specialists either kept their opinoins to themselves, or simply didn't have ones yet.

Finally, one of the four chipped in with her own two Lanteds. "Perhaps we should forgo the Battle Frames entirely, and install just the Control Device. After all, the Battle Frame is merely a fail-safe, should the Control Devices malfunction. To make up for the lack of the Battle Frame, we can simply double up the Control Devices."

Again, the older specialist shook his head. "These Devices aren't cheap. Let's try it with the normal Control Devices, before we start speaking of doubling them up..." A long moment to see if anyone had anything more to add. Satisfied that all had spoken their minds, he continues. "Then it is decided. Tomorrow, we'll use... Specimen X-Thirteen as the test subject for the Control Device. If it is effective in controlling the weapon, then we'll use it on the other fifty-two, as well as all future Specimens."

A series of confirmations come from the gathered group. A plan had been agreed upon. The Graveshifters would work on obtaining the Realian Control Device needed, as well as prepping a lab for the procedure. The rest of the team will rest until morning, when the procedure will begin...

BUMP. IC post forth-coming.

A hulking Ximean "Valkyr" helicopter approached the Terkomai lab complex, coming in low. The Valkyr was a military helicopter, primarily assigned to Special Forces and the Bio-Sciences Division's Bio-SWAT teams, though it had been stripped of its weapons for this flight. It was carrying twenty-five people in addition to its crew:five senior researchers, fifteen research assistants, and five Bio-SWAT agents, fully decked out in tactical gear. In addition, it carried several crates of extra gear for the Bio-SWAT squad and extra equipment and supplies which were proprietary to the Bio-Sciences Division and which the team might need during their stay.
"PC-31 from Ximea requesting clearance to land," the pilot radioed.
In the back, a few of the scientists discussed the trip and what they expected to find. The scientists had all volunteered for this assignment--the Bio-SWAT agents had not--but they had not been told exactly what to expect.

((OOC: ... Thought I said wait a lil bit? Ah well... Here goes the Ic post.))

It was pretty early in the morning. Most of Gnufasur was still asleep, with the exceptions of night owls, insominacs, and old crazies. And, who can forget the researchers and surgeons working for the Terkomai Arms Corporation, in particular the ones at the Biological Weapons Research and Development Divison, Delta Labs South Branch.

Deep within the bowels of the Weapons Manafacture's laboratory, a lone lab recieved the finishing touches for an implantation prodecure.

The lab itself, for all intents and purposes, looked very much like your standard issued Operation Room. It contained a central lab table, where whatever needed to be operated on would lay. A series of various medical tools were situated around the table, as well as monitoring devices, and so forth. The room was spotlessly clean and completely sterile.

Unlike most Operating Rooms, however, a total of five armed guards, all members of the Terkomai Arms Corporation Security Force, were stationed within the room, all armed with automatic weapons. A second observation floor just above the operating room hosted another five armed guards, as well as three senior researchers and a liason from the Corporate Offices. They would watch the operation, and the added guards were here to ensure all went smoothly. One of them was the famed Gnufasurian Bio-Medical Specailist Hojo Ashtear.

At precisely six AM, Speciem X-13 was wheeled in. The creature was truely a horror to view. While it was vaguely human shaped, it was hidiously deformed in monsterous proporations. One arm hung down to it's feet, in place of hands or fingers, it had three two feet long talons, razor sharp and white as polished ivory.
The other arm stopped just past it deltoids, and ended in trailing fleshy tendrils and what appeared to be nerves and veins. It had no skin to speak of, it's muscles were visible clear as the pulpy grey matter of it's brain, visible through it's semi-transulcent skull.

Currently, it was still under the effects of the stasis tube it had been removed from, so it was no threat to the people within the lab.

Quickly, it was carted over to the lab table, and layed upon it, metal restraining straps clamped over its body.

Three surgeons approached it, one carrying the Realian Control Device, another wielding a cutting saw, and the third with a set of clamps to hold back the flesh.

Slowly, they began the operation, cutting away the skull of the beast with the saw, then delving into the brain, carefully working their way to the base of the brain.

Quickly yet carefully, they place the Control Device against the brain, connecting special 'nerve connectors' to the grey matter. A quick jolt with a special prod activates the device, and the process is reversed. The sections of brain which were oh so carefully moved aside were moved back, the part of the skull which was removed is welded back into place with iron solder.

A round of congratulations follows, and one of the surgeons moves to a nearby computer terminal. Accessing the remote control interface for the Control Device, he begins the activation process. "We're showing full intergration. Error ratio is within acceptable limits. All nerve connections are functioning nominally. No harmonic errors or anomalies detected."

From the top observation room, the lead scientist speaks through the intercom. "Bring the subject online."

Nodding, the surgeon at the computer types in a series of commands, and the creature is brought out of its stupor. Arbuptly it lunges against its restraints, causing both the surgeons and the guards to react, the former moving back while the latter lower their weapons into a 'fire ready' position. The lead scientist speaks through the intercom as the creature continues to struggle. "This is normal. It's consciousness is trying to fight the Control Device. This will pass."

The creatures continues to struggle for an elonged period of time, thrashing its body against the restraints. All the gathered can do is watch and wait for this to pass, for the machine to win control of the central nervous system.

Suddenly, error messages begin to flash on the Control Device's interface screen. "Goddess! The signal's being rejected! Nerve connections are reversing. We can't control it!"

Quickly, the other two surgeons duck back into the corners as the five guards take a step forward, firing their weapons into the beast. Gun muzzles flash as each unloads into the creature. The bullets impact into the flesh, most penatrating but not going very far into the body.

The beast flayed, roaring an ear peircing shriek, its eyes burning with red firey rage.

Then, the sleeping chemicals each bullet contained began to take effect, the beast losing the chemical battle and finally passing out. A collective sigh of relief is released. Shaking his head, Professor Hojo leaves the observation room, as the creature is secured again and removed from the lab, to be placed into a fresh stasis tube...

Later that day...

Standing off to one side of the lab complex's Heli-pad, Professor Hojo is flanked on both sides by two Neko guards, and trailed by the two other senior researchers from the operation. The Valkyr helicopter is given permission to land, and this it does. As the helicopter disembarks its contents, the Professor takes a step forward, extending a hand to the lead scientist. "Knaadehkc." He says, then realized these are humans, not Gnufasurians. "My apologizes. Good day, I am Professor Hojo Ashtear, these are Senior Researchers Lucca Von, and Hugo Gainburgs." He introduces the two researchers.

The two guards both wear helmets, with non-transparent face-plates. They remain both faceless, and for the moment, nameless. The badge on their sleeve identify them as members of the Terkomai Arms Corporation Security Force, and both brandish military grade Sub-Machine Guns.

One of the humans shook Professor Ashtear's hand. "I'm Dr. Gordon Miller, specializing in macrobiological weapons. These are my colleagues, Drs. Morgan, Baldwin, Preston, and Clark." He did not introduce the research assistants or the guards. "If you don't mind, we'd like to get caught up to speed as quickly as possible. Our superiors only gave us the most basic details of your operation."

As an afterthought, Dr. Miller gestured to the five armed troops who had accompanied the scientists. They were dressed in matte-gray BDUs with black armor and black canvas knapsacks. Their helmets incorporated compact gas/germ masks and infrared goggles. They were wearing their sidearms, .357 P12 Hunter pistols, but they were not carrying rifles at the moment. "By the way," Miller said, "as you can see, we brought a Bio-SWAT squad--standard procedure for away missions. If necessary, they can return with the helicopter."

OOC: Short posts so far, I know. They'll get longer as I get more involved.
