Hi,
i am spending 30 billion and putting 35 million in the army please recomend me some weopens and machinery. Thanks!

Mationland Condemns :
The Armed Republic of Mationland condemns Msn world for its weapons built-up . Even so , it is impossible for them to amass such a big army once you've seen their measly population and income rate .

Mation region council Condemns :
The Council of Mation Region condemns Msn world for its weapons build-up and laughs at Msn world's try to outrun our Military in war . The council will also ban any nation/organization/company from selling/giving weapons and technology to Msn world . Any nation who dares to defy this law in Mation Region will immediately face our Army .

New Law Issued by the council :
Any nation/organization/company that visits/enters Mation Region must not sell/give weapons or technology or machines to Msn world . Or else it will be asked to leave . If it refuses , our homeregion defence force (HDF) will be forced to attack .

Your putting %70 of your population into the military!?
Im a nation of half-crazed Goblins and I only use %5 at most.
Im sure somebody will be along momentarily to explain why having %70 of your population in the military is no good.

[OOC: Scratch the stupid military numbers, 35,000,000 is way too much. You have a very similar military budget to the UK, so use the UK as a basis.

Usually, if you put too much of a percentage of your people in the military, the amount of people who can work and support your economy. More than 5% of your population, and your economy will essentially collapse from having to pay for all the gear, training, etc. While it seems small, the more people you put in your military, the less people can support it economically. 70% is insane, but I'm sure you're not used to this, and don't want to get crushed by the bigger fish in the sea... but try and be realistic. 1 million in your military should be feasable, that's 2%.

NOW, FOR ARMY SIZE:
The size and composition of armies is one of the most misunderstood, yet most widely used aspects of Nationstates. This is not helped by the fact that a number of well-meaning individuals have, in previous stickies, noted that you could maintain up to 5% of your nation in your military. This is not true. While you can have 5% of your population in the military, this is only really acceptable in times of war. Outside of that, it should be much smaller. In fact, you can count the number of nations with better than 2% of their population in their military on one hand, and at least one of those is a nation that just came out of a major war. Of the others, only one (North Korea) does not face the immediate threat of hostile action by militaristic neighbors. Do note, however, that most statistics only cover active armed forces, and reserve and militia (aka Territorial Defense, Border Guard, National Guard, etc) are not included. However, most of the nations with prohibitively large armies don’t quite have the reserve and militia strength of the larger modern nations, so the number gives a good idea of the combat power. Another thing to note is that the vast majority of nations with proportionately large armies are ones with low populations, often under 10 million, and these nations have larger neighbors that threaten them, thus necessitating such measures. Larger nations do not need such big armies because they have the population base to recruit a respectable army without taking too much.

Mationland agress that 70% of the population in the military is crazy . We have to warn those countries again that bringing weapons into Mation Region for Msn world is illegal . However , Mationland is interested in having a tradedeal with the Imperial Praetonian Shipyards .
