The fledgling Hyst Munitions Company has released it's first major attempt at the international arms market

UX-3 ultralightweight rifle

The initial was formulated when Alliant Techsystems Co announced the XM8. In order to vie for similar contracts abroad, Hyst has been developing a compeating lightweight rifle. Though the firing rate is much less then its american counterpart, the rifle sports a greater range and almost half the weight unloaded. The UX-3 utalizes some of the most advansed composite materials and minatureized avaible as well as sporting the full length carrying handle (similar to the GIAT FAMAS). Though overheating was a major problem in early models, the UX-3 has worked many of those problems out by redusing the firing rate to the current 600rds/min. Another potential limitation of the UX-3 is the current price of composte materials, unless the effencency of production of such material is reduced, this could be a severe limitation of the UX-3

In regard to you concerns, the UX-3 rifle utalizes the M16A4 standard accessory rail. In addition to the standard accessory rail, the full-length carrying rail is capable for handling a wide aray af tatical scopes, though a standard 1.5X tatical scope is initailly fitted.

A specialized acurized version is currently under domestic testing, peliminary testing showed great promise, and final tests should be concluded within the month. According to current specs the accurized version, or the UX-3e, has a considerably reduced firing rate, around 400rds/min, but with a longer barrel, 512mm, increace accurcy at long range, and equiped standard with a 4X scope (compatible night vision scopes are in the works), fitted with a fold-in bipod, but its overall weight will only be slightly greater, at about 1.5kg. As to production rights and cost of the wepon. Hyst Munitions, given our limited resources, is searching for intermediarys. Though it would be prefered if Hyst Munitions retained the production rights, it might be possible to sell under contract. If your test are satisfactory, Hyst Munitions would gladly negotate the terms of a contract.
