"Tenhawks, look what Etar find," the young orc was pointing frantically at the sensor screen of the Drak'qua fighter. Tenhawks, the tauren, was easily ten years the orc's senior, but indulged the young one's enthusiasm. Hells, he'd only just become a Wind Rider two seasons ago.
"You found something, eh? Another one of those ice balls?"
"No! No! This better!"
"Well then, let's have a look..."

The tauren, easily four meters tall, stood up from his sitting position and wandered over to the orc's station.

"Great...Earthmother!"

The small fighter zoomed over the hull of a once-great vessel. It was wedge-shaped and, from all scans, very heavily armed. Better armed than one of the Horde's dis'troyas, even. What's more, it was only one of many.

"I'll have to contact one of the Far Seers about this, Etar. Stand watch."

The tiny fighter was framed against the white hulls as the tauren entered meditation to speak with his superior. He didn't yet know how important this find was to the future of the entire Horde.

"This is Scavenger Six, we're coming in..."
The high-pitched voice of a goblin came over the line to the dis'troyah Mog'ur.

"Zug-zug, Scavenger Six. Begin work on the fourth hull. Pay special attention to the engines, they're the most intact of all of them."

Twenty complete starships had been found, along with the shipyard that had constructed them. The ships, as far as the Far Seers could gather from the latent spirits around them, were very, very old. These twenty had been part of a great fleet once, but had been forgotten when war had sent the government into chaos. Now, however, they were being taken by the Horde.

"Helm, take us towards that shipyard. Let's find out just how they made these, uh, cru'zahs."

sir, you might be interested in this.
what is it?
A shipyard, apparently abandoned.
okay..
take a look at the ships.
you're right, looks like a smaller version of the thing they built Thistle Scythe from.
looks like we aren't the first to come here, I am reading another ship among the relics.
try and open a channel:
this is gelfland vessel celestial hamster, quite the collection you've got there, mind us taking a closer look?

A small flotilla of Gaian Corvettes along with one Cruiser, were watching the area, and had actually found not only this one yard and it's quarry, but three others of even 'more' advanced yards construction capability.

They also knew a race was nearby, and had left a passive signal bouy to draw attention to this yard, while the Ascenancy claimed the larger ones. In an hour, three major Fleet Groups centered around two major A-SSD warships, would lay claim to the other three and bring with them an armada of Techs and Ascendants, to get the other Yards up and running.

One they did that, they had major suprise waiting when eyes turned their way. The Yards there were considered larger than the infamous Ascendant A-SSD Yards that heralded the infamous Eternal Destiny.

..the 'loss' of twenty Ascendant class vessels was little loss anyhow.

One find among a larger field. The Yards were considered all small game to the rewards hidden within the planets themselves.

It had been awhile since the Ascendant Code Words had to be used again.

((OC- I'm gonna let this play out as Gaia Rodina finding hyper advanced Ascendant vessels, in a 'trade-off' for my own expansion of my 500km monsters.

..if this is alright that be. =^^= ))

OCC:They are older Republic Star Destoryer like ships. Like I'm talking Clone Wars kind that inspired Star Destroyers.
IC:
The black of space was split open by a force of a slipspace drive tearing though from the almost unknown realm that perimted ships to go faster than light. A ship quickly exited the rift in space and it was quickly sealed. All this took about three seconds and looked like the ship had appeared in a white and green aurora. The ship a relativly new and extremly sleak looking Peace class destroyer was nothing like it's name, it was armed to the teeth in every sense of it. Plasma cannons were bristling across it's nine killometer hull as well as afew 50mm AF/AM auto-cannons and three Fallen Angel Devistator cannons.
As her external systems regained power from the jump they began to send scans all about the area they were in. Just as the scanns began vessels were already being placed on the tactical display in the center of the bridge with color codings randing from red for the highest risk and white for no risk at all.

OOC-Yeah, I was thinking Republic Assault Ships from Ep.III: RotS.

Suddenly, things had become a lot more complicated.

The rag-tag Orcish fleet, which had grown to three dis'troyahs and a dred'not, immediately took up position around the abandoned hulls, which were currently being peppered by boarding pods and zeppelin-like transports.

"This is Chieftain Murg Hellscream! Leave now! Ships found by Horde! Horde property now!"

OCC:Yup assualt ships. You can see them in Ep. II AotC and in the Clonewars videogame.
IC:
The ork fleet had been tagged as a yellow color for the slight risk they posed to the destroyer yet with enough "friendly action" they would see that some people wern't exactly told off by simple words.
Outside along the five diffrent launch bays fighters streamed out and began to take up postions around the destroyer who's few (numbering in the thousands) AM/AF 50mm auto-cannons began to swivil and track the horizion of their lines of sight for targets.

This made the chieftain mad. His dred'not, at five and a half kilometers long, swiveled its own railcannons and ion guns at the intruding destroyer.

"They will pay for their insolence! All batteries, FIRE!"

Streams of ferrous slugs and bursts of blue light flew from the turrets on board ths ship at the destroyer. The trio of orcish dis'troyahs fired their own railcannons into the swarm of fighters, while turning their ion cannons onto the main capital ship.

Murg Hellscream opened a direct spirit link with the leader of the boarding parties.

"Get those ships up and running! We have battle to fight!"

Fighters tore off of the destroyer and roared forth towards the attacking ships. The ones that were equiped with tactical nukes had already relased them and began to warm up the twin 67mm HE tri-barrel auto-cannons on their backs. Though several of the newer pilots took rounds through their craft damanging or destroying they continued to advance like a swarm of jet black hornets moving at mack 50+.
The destroyer had jsut raised her sheild system when the impacts began though areas breached and rounds began to hit the AM/AF guns the plasma torpedo launcher began to charge turning the ship almost blood red as they charged. Only a few short seconds later hundred of red lances streaked across space absorbing the odd rail slug that got in their path's and began to impact on the ships. Though the main course was jsut being warmed up. The three Fallen Angel Devistator cannons swiviled and bean to charge with the force of almost one hundred and fifty megatons each and began to fire on the dred'not. Though after the three shots had fired they began to cool and the cycling period began.

Softly, Elven Ships came from no where. No power bursts, no holes in space, one minute there was nothing the next they where do. Ten of the ships where small, seven hundred meters in length, all with the roughtly same design. The larger craft however, looked out of place. Two Kilomeaters in length its hull was black with unidentifed white marks across it. Had they looked closely, they would have seen that the white marks showed forms of writing, the craft was a Kaela Craft. The fighting was noted, but the craft roughly ignored it, moving towards the shipyards, the ten smaller craft zooming around the Larger.

The orcish Dred'not shook under the assault of the destroyer's assault, but held fast. One of the dis'troyahs was not as lucky. One of its protrusions tore away from the cylindrical ship, sending the vessel and its doomed crew spinning out of control.

"Kul'tagadore is down! Repeat! Kul'tagadore is down!"

The chieftain cursed under his breath. They were too good. One ship was taking on three vessels of the Horde navy, and the Horde had already suffered a loss. If they could only get those damned shields down...

It seemed an answer to the chieftain's prayers was only a short distance behind the Dred'not. One of the abandoned ships, dubbed "Cru'zahs" by the Horde, roared to life.
"Control achieved!" called the shrill voice of Ziz Fizziks, goblin engineer extrodinairre. "We have full power and full systems! Transferring control to command staff. Let's get outta here, boys!"
The diminutive goblins scurried out of the way as the far-larger Horde races bounded into the "bridge" of the Cru'zah.

"Blademasta!" called a troll at the sensors station. "Da Kul'tagadore jus' got blown t' pieces, mon. Chieftain's callin for reinforcements."

The Blademaster, an aged tauren, banged his vibrohalberd into the deck.

"Full power to engines! Fire all batteries!"

The wedge-shaped vessel tore through space like a hot lightsabre through butter. It closed with the destroyer and opened up with a full broadside of blue energy bolts, followed by a volley of torpedoes.

One could definately not say the Horde didn't adapt easily.

Only a moment before the destroyer began to move in a evasive pattern. Though the blue blolts began to strike against her sheilds they held fast with some breaking through and impacting in the five meter thick armour melting it away while torpedo's impacted detonating where they could leaving three meter deep by five meter wide gashes along the destoryers side.. Thugh this time things seemed diffrent. Almost litteraly a wave of pure hell fire shot forth from the port side plasma cannons and the trio of Fallen Angels. At once they fired while behind lay more devistation missile pods had opened up and delayed fire untill the plasma was far enough ahead so the missiles could be hidden but wouldn't explode. Though the wave of hell fire had one draw back for the destroyer, inside plasma lines began to glow white hot and several melted spewing plasma across firing decks before they could be sealed again. Casaulty figures were slowly begining to rise to levels that hadn't been seen for a long time in the PSN.

Out of the aft hanger bay a pair of cloaked dropships shot out and roared forth towards one of the farther off ships. Each carried atleast two dozen troopers each skilled in diffrent areas that would be required for boarding and capturing action.

Fighters began to focus on the Dred'not firing off 65mm rounds at afew hundred a minute along with other plasma filled treats that they carried. Though they were nimble the rookie pilots were being turned into more filight hazards for the vetrans.

OCC:It should be interesting to see what would happen if my forces captured one fo the ships and turned it against yours.

The NMSS Jackson appeared in space nearby the battle, a product of its Spacial Shift Drive, or SSD. The Jackson was three miles long (North Mack despises the metric system) and was covered with Plas-Lite Guns (Plasma Lightning), Rail Cannons, and Missile Tubes. The NMSS Jackson was the Capital ship of the North Mack fleet. Jacob Thomann stood on the bridge, looking out at the battle before him. He looked to his aide.
"Who's Fighting this battle?"
"um... Phalanix and Gaia Rodina sir."
"Phalanix... didn't they help us in the Unjust War?"
"Yes, Sir."
"very well then, I want four Armed Boarding Shuttles loaded and ready in ten minutes, launched in fifteen. Our target is that wedge shaped ship that just entered the battle. After they launch, put sheilds to full power, and sound battle stations now."
"yes sir" the aide ran to a counsol, and hit a few buttons. The ships Klaxon rang out, and a cold matallic voice said :"BATTLE STATIONS, ALL CREW, BATTLE STATIONS, ALL CREW, BATTLE..."

Jacob Walked foreward to his command console, and hit a button.

TO: Phalanix Ship
This is Commander Jacob. We are here to assist you in any way, Phalanix.
We are launching a boarding and capture party to the
Wedge ship that just entered the battle.
We are open to suggestions.

"sir, I would reccomend we get out of here."
"I fully agree."
a stray plasma bolt tore through the drive section.

"check that, we aren't going anywhere fast."
those ships, you think they all still work?
what are you thinking?

well, seeing as our highdrive is offline, and there is a whole yard out there, one ship may not bemissed in the heat of battle.
ok, first question: how do we get in?
if they are related, it won't exactly be easy.
if it's similar, there should be a large window on the command deck.
sounds good.
ok, that one looks pretty quiet.

(OOC: Tag. I will say one thing. Those are Acclamator class troop carriers, and not really Republic Assault Ships. That was kind of a nickname that was assigned to the Venator SD's that you see in Ep. III. I may be wrong, but, this is what I understand.)

*The Alchemist Star System; 7 light-years away*

While the nearby yards were being fought over by various forces, the Ascendancy StarFleet began it's own phase of claiming three other Systems in a six light-year cluster of stars, and the treasure trove within.

Three Fleet Groups Fold Jumped into the three Systems, with this particular System the main morsel up for grabs.

Hundreds of variously sized and weighted WarShips and JumpShip support and starfighter cover entered the unusually named System. Apparently a hand down name from the age of the Avian Lords, now the System, too close to foreign power meddeling, had to be secured or the vessels and yards within would be in the hands of more aggressive nations.

"All vessels report stable arrivals."

"Thank you Commander. Begin to secure all the planets in the System and declare our intentions to lay claim." Admiral Ruri Hoshino, former Captain of the Nadesico-Yamato, and now Fleet Admiral of this operation, though still on her favored ship, began to order signals sent out of the intentions of the Gaian Ascendancy to lay claim to these three Star Systems:

~ The Alchemist Star System (8 Planets)
~ The Cha`thrin Star System (7 Planets)
~ The Juna`rtha II Star System (10 Planets)

Why was not disclosed. Only the Gaians themselves knew of the treasures that lay within. They moved quickly to secure the three unoccupied Systems.
