Hello, and welcome to The Peoples Republic of Kazkahstania's Factbook! Recently created to remind you, and sometiems myself, of all there is to know about Kazakhstania as a nation. So, lets start with some basic facts and figures:
Captial City: Astana
Population: 3.398 Billion
Gross Domestic Product per Capita: $10,000
Land Area: 2,669,800 sq km
Ethnic Groups: Kazakhs and Kurds
Military Spending: 5% of GDP
Military Status: Lima
Current Alliance: None
History
The nation of Kazakhstania formed from the large wastelands in the south of Freedom Country. The original populace was several million Kazakh's and Kurd's, the kurds making up a fifth of the population. The history of Kazakhstania is fairly uneventful, other than democracy being abolished twenty years ago. After two highly debatable events under two presidents, mainly massive tax cuts and massive military spending cuts, the populace agreed on one president for life. He still rules today, one Field Marshal Michael Fac.
Almost five years ago, five hundred million kurds were evicted from Kazkahstania Major, and Kurdish Kazakhstania was set up int he two cities of Sudma and Balkhash. This rule has it's own government and civil systems, but it's military is still owned by Kazakhstania, and minor taxes are paid. The eviction of the Kurd's was a massive military operation, as some resistance was put up. It is hoped this will not need to happen again.
Government
The government is made up of various delegates who fill a certain position of importance, for example Minister of Agriculture and the like. All report to the Grand Kazakhstanian Council, headed by the Field Marshal Fac. All decisions that effect the nation as a whole are made here, and must be agreed by more than half of the members, in a grand vote aroudn once a week. This system has been proven to work well, as no one person is responsible for any bad decisions, therefore reducing the effect of any mistake.
The Media
An important part of Kazakhstania is the media. it is controlled greatly by the government in almost censorship, as all companies are government controlled. The public know this and don't really care, as it is known that the government knows more than the general public with shared knowledge, and is out for the best of the country.
The Military
The military is seperated into three branches - The Army, The Navy and The Air Force. There was thought to be no need for a Marine Corps, as every force is unite dunder the JTIDS fire support system. This helps immensely in combined arms warfare, and allowed prestigous strategic help. The military is under almost constant exercise in the Northern Exercise Area, which is a massive training area.
Foreign Policy
Kazakhstania has always had a very quiet diplomatic front, and it's foreign policy has seen little attention over the years. Alliances are always liked, but usually amount to nothing. Currently, Kazakhstania is after allies for wars, military exercise and trade. These are desperately wanted, but not to the limit that an open plea is made. That would be disheartening for the nation as a whole.
Trade
Kazakhstania currently trades with only two nations, The Zoogie People and Independant Hitmen, but is looking to trade more in the future. It's current resource exchange rate is like this:
Coal: 178% of needs
Iron: 102% of needs
Steel: 89% of needs
Titanium: 57% of needs
Precious Metals: 117% of needs
Oil: 215% of needs
Rubber: 27% of needs
Domestic Supplies: 124% of needs
Military Supplies: 105-150% of needs
