A private took his binoculers and scanned over the Mongolian soil. He turned and grabbed a smoke fom his partner, lighting up and taking a puff. "Just snow. It's been snowing for the past hour, past day, past week! Why are we posted to view snow?!" The second private shrugged and kneeled, searching through his pack. The first scout coughed and took to his binoculers again. Passing from left to right on the horizon, not even a speck of anything but white was around. His shoulder was tapped and a compass was shoved in his face. "What is your problem? We are face southwest.. so what?" The second scout removed his cig and spoke softly, "It means we were walking in the wrong direction the whole time. Noticed how we started by walking straight and never turned? I beleive our post is around.. twenty miles that way."
HQ was in a hectic state. All the officers wanted a war, but the information was not coming in. Due to the random blizzards that have been popping up, radio connection has been lost to most scouts, and the remaining scouts are mispositioned or are reporting useless information. A major shouted, "Why don't we just attack already?! Its just empty land! It has been! There can be NO way that they hae stocked up an effective military, especially since they are nomadic!" This created an uproar, with the generals and intellegence officers arguing about "effective strategies" and "planned logistics" while the remainder argued about "just killing them" and "your strategies never worked anyhow!" Finally Rusko, a lovingly nicknamed four star general just put orders to round up a few infantry divisions to march into the territory, letting the others argue as he took action.
The divisions that reported for the war were not quite up to date, but that really didn't matter to Rusko. The troops were marched rather quickly through the snow and blizzards, eventually picking up a few straggeling scouts, and finally made camp thirty-two miles away from Darhan. The scouts were forced to go check out the city while they slept, and so they did.
The next morning HQ was interrupted by a new argument by a radio announcement that Mongolia was now officially being invaded, and in fact they had a military, although very minor. In any case, they knew that they were going to be invaded, so they will most likely try and defend other town. "Reinforcements arn't necessary. They don't really have a population, so there miniscule armed forces ill not be too hard to conquer, I imagine," said Rusko as he watched the flag outside being changed.
